I like ARK, I do. Burned many a night few months helping to find bugs, and don't regret a day of it. I care about the game enough to be furious when I heard that. However. Early Access means your game is in a state where it shouldn't be considered finished. The entire focus of everything going on aught to be finishing the base game before anything else goes on. Had ARK been finished and more or less bug free, I'dve bought that expansion sight unseen. I've spent twice that for single aircraft in DCS, As it stands, I'm going to wait until the game is released and has the stability and polish to match. Then drop all the DLCs you want. Not that most of what's in that DLC applies to me: I stay away from public servers like the plague even without the dragons.
