  1. This is interesting. Definitely feel this should have more attention drawn to it for the Legacy players who stick with ASE
  2. 100% this, all the genetic code has been edited by the Overseer's and such to make the creatures more susceptible to being "tamed" and modified appearances/abilities for their environment
  3. Sure some of the models could use some updating, but you seem to be ignoring my point of the models in Ark 2 look different for a reason. Also using the word "accurate" when it comes to things extinct pre-human history(exceptions like mammoths clearly), is like pissing in the wind because nobody has seen them alive to confirm these "accuracies."
  4. Why would you use models for a separate game when remastering a separate game? Ark 2 models show a progression of the Ark species after living on the new planet, wouldnt make sense to use them in Ark 1
  5. They could remove it yeah but it is part of its dossier and, if I understand correctly, a reference to a story. Them being good water mounts would be great. I have always wondered why they talked about survivors being able to trap them for replenishing food if they would just eventually de-spawn for us 🤔
  6. There will be new creatures but I don't think there will be many changes to the taming/breeding status of existing creatures. I will give a few random examples of why I think so & some cases where I agree. Lets start with say the Leedsicthys as it is one I would like to see be tamed, while I disagree that fish are too unintelligent to be "tamed" in a sense (I own fish and they definitely recognize the person that feeds them and will come up to you) I do understand that it might be a little messed up to own a creature that all you do is rip its flesh off to eat it lol. I don't really understand the taming decision with this one. Special creatures like Rock Golems and Basilisks, both are way too strong without breeding to be allowed to breed and boost their stats to ridiculous heights for the same reason as Reapers. However, I can see Karkinos/Griffins possibly being breed-able though I think the concern revolves around like making Griffin's have nuke attacks with their swoop attack. I have no experience with Fenrir so I don't have an opinion here. As far as Enforcers go, I am unsure what to really do with them lol but they definitely need something. I would also like to see construct-able Defense/Attack Drones since we already have Enforcers and Scouts. Might as well cover some of the random things as well. Ammonites/Cnidaria/Coel/Salmon/Lamprey/Parakeet Fish/Death Worms, as creatures who exist purely to be harvested for a resource or a natural hazard its probably best to just leave them alone, and you could honestly lump Leeds in this group as well. Eurypterids/Jug Bugs, I have no idea why these are not tame-able considering we can tame other insects/invertebrates/arthropods(just covering all the bases lol) I kinda rambled, but hopefully these opinions help?
  7. Honestly, I would love to see this as a solution to server caps and such. Since we are going to have to live without the higher tech TEK pokéballs for a time, it would be nice to have a more "primitive" tame storage method.
  8. I have said it before and I will continue to say it. NPCs WILL NOT improve the game. If you want NPCs in your ark go find a mod. Sorry but it's gonna be a hard no from me. Stick around for Ark 2 and you can have all the NPCs you want probably since its supposed to be more story driven?
  9. Giant Beetle is like my second most wanted thing so I will take either lol. Goliath, Hercules, Atlas, or Rhinoceros feel like any of those could make an impressive mount. Flight capabilities, maybe a ramming mechanic, impaling?, tossing like they do in beetle fights. So many possibilities
  10. Those were fun days for sure but I am glad the bosses were given arenas instead. Though I am not looking to tame bosses in the case of my spider suggestion
  11. Nah, nothing that intense. Like a large generic tarantula or wolf spider that is large enough to hunt Dino's but comparable in strength to a tier less than a rex? Or same tier if feeling adventurous but that seems like too much.
  12. I hope so too, I really do. The giant bugs are just really cool. I have always wanted a like giant beetle or a spider that hunts Dinos but is actually a threat unlike the araneo
  13. Yeah a speed buff makes sense, it may be huge but that doesnt mean it has to be extremely slow. I know Jurassic World may not be the best example, but the one in Dominion caught up to a plane
  14. Disagree with the cryopod suggestion, maybe the quetzal could use some kind of small buff. Not a full TLC but some other utility?
  15. So with ASA on the rise I was thinking back fondly on some creatures that I love in this game and wondering if any small things could be done to fix any small grievances with them. Sorry if some of this stuff has been beat into the dirt I haven't been super active on the forums, or on the game itself in a little while. Starting with the Phoenix, the main thing I don't understand is why it is unable to land. It would be nice if it could and surely that is not a massive TLC change and just something that can be implemented. Secondly, the Liopleurodon. I understand the reference and what it does, but I feel like it is disappointing in what it is and what it does. Literally doing anything to make it more permanent or something is all I ask for. Feel free to vent any small things about other creatures you would like to see potentially officially changed, even if it is just wishing for these changes to happen. Maybe a mod maker will be able to do it with the mod implementation stuff in ASA 🤨
  16. Wow could you be any more of a garbage person? Covid 19 running rampant and forcing people to change how they work and all you care about is what you want. Karma doesnt play just saying
  17. My main question is if this is the same Santiago from Extinction or not, because I seem to remember him dying and having a grave on the map. Not saying an Ark couldn't have recreated him or something but ya know
  18. Just need a spider TLC now, model and ability updates to make the breeding worth it. Make em bigger and more threatening
  19. Time to add a fine print to this "golden rule" (no such thing) NO PREORDERS! Unless you are confident in the series or new entry. If you know it's your kind of genre or so on then it won't hurt a thing. At the end of the day how you receive a games is entirely up to you and not up to anyone else or any review online.
  20. They have said plenty just not here. There is no point in giving a release date for people to complain about when they could just wait till it is done and ready then tell everyone
  21. There's always that one person/group of people who just choose to live life miserable about everything
