They have to change it and prioritize the gigantoraptor because people are spoiled and can't live without maewings 😂😂😂 and that was one of the points of them "choosing" it, they were preparing for that to happen, since maewings only come in gen2 (which is like 57357 episodes away).

They could put both tho, since shasta is perfect for center and was elected because of that. I don't see them putting shasta in another map, since center is the map with more water, besides gen1 with the ocean biome. So putting both would be the smart move. Instead of rushing to put Center and SE in like two months apart. That's not even enough time to enjoy center properly.

They are shooting their foot again, since the more the episodes are apart from each other, the more people will be playing it, like it's been for years. If they deliver everything in a year and a half, they will have to rush with Ark 2, which it's not a priority because of all the work on every episode they still have to put (unless they put different dev teams, but then they would lose the intelligence they are acquiring on ark 1.5, which was the main point of launching it anyway... well, that and the money).

That's cool, but guys, my server is off for 3 weeks now.

Welcome to the way 70% of people here feel for some months now. Most people I know play on pc so they are just waiting to grab the save files and say goodbye to all this... Yes it's sad for players that supported it for years and it's disrespectful that some people still buy it without a warning or clue of what is going to happen.

Because like I commented before, some people are too busy with their own life. They forget stuff quickly, even more if they are not being directly impacted by it (which is sad, it makes some fights really lonely and almost a lost cause, things takes centuries to change because of that... but it is what it is).

So this capitalistic thing doesn't work. Take 2 or 3 years, you will end up playing it. Be it on a sale or when you get bored of another game or something. Maybe to try to get the nostalgia back. Doesn't really matter, but you should know that. You won't boycott a game because of an opinion for longer.

Now, think if they agreed with your opinions and point of views, if you would be throwing a tantrum on a forum too. Yes, you could still use that argument like "they are a company, they shouldn't mess with politics or personal opinions", but would you really care? like, really really? I bet not. So remember that the next time you get offended, that we still live at free countries, where people can state their own opinions, including yours - the more I don't like or agree with them, some are dumb and selfish and don't really put themselves in the shoes of another people, nor consider all the situations. They just repeat what they heard or learned somewhere and take that as the universal truth. Which is 42, btw.

But anyway, think of that. Just my two cents. You agreeing with it or not.

This. Thank you. If you are too busy (life is tough) or entertained (oh it's just a game) to speak up when other people's rights are removed, maybe they will do the same when it impacts you. And suddenly, no one will be able to speak up anymore, it will be too late.

As far as Ark 2, I’m glad we haven’t heard anything.  The longer it takes to get any news the higher the chances of it getting pushed back (which it should be)!  I do think that it’s probably time for WC to crap or get off the pot about Ark 2 though.  They have never truly been very good at communicating with the players that made them money, but even though I can much care less about Ark 2 (mainly because I’m not going to rush out and get the next gen console just to play the same broken game), I am more concerned about what the plan for Ark 1 official servers is.
