  1. That new extra step is just a big middle finger from the devs to their community, and really looks like a mechanic purely introduced to repress non-nitrado hosted servers. It has always been annoying because this game crashes nonstop and favourited servers dont appear in the list until i use the search bar. And now that new button, that doesnt even save what i set it to, is yet another step that doesnt seem to serve any good purpose. It is even more difficult to use than the other buttons next to it, i have to click exactly on the little checkbox, while the others work by just clicking the overall button anywhere.
  2. Yea smalltribes is the worst in my opinion. RMT, Exploiting and cheating are wide spread, and pretty much every successful tribe there does account sharing and is in big alliances as well. Which is to be expected seeing how the game mode is designed. You cant be online 24/7 with only 6 people.
  3. But you dont play against anybody on pve, and arent forced to tribe up with pc ppl. I dont see why there should be console only pve servers, it really doesnt matter there. On the original topic, i 100% agree, it is stupid that all those commands are available to players on the official network. And i say that despite my pc being too old to run the game without some of those questionable commands.
  4. 1. In asa it is easy to push structures into the terrain, which is a cool thing overall. But it is also possible to have foundations so far into the ground that they are not visible and can not be damaged by explosives. This is a big problem for pvp, even more so since orbit cam doesnt let u see underground anymore (which i think is good otherwise). 2. In contrast to how easy it is to push things into mesh, it is now pretty much impossible to mesh structures into other structures. In ase you could for example have triangle ceilings go into square ones, which helped a lot in certain scenarios. Or ceilings going slightly into crafting stations. Not possible anymore. It would also be nice to be able to put ramps in a rectangular corner goin up both ways instead of only being able to do one. 3. WHY IS THERE A LIMIT OF REGULAR GENERATORS? I dont see a reason and it is extremely frustrating, since the limit of 3 is pretty low and the affected area is damn huge. 4. Usually when building i am able to stop the preview/unselect the item by presssing right mouse button. Not in orbit cam. it just doesnt work there for some reason, which is annoying. 5. When building in orbit cam and pressing the place button once, to get to the part where i can rotate the object before fully placing it, it automatically turns (a bit or a lot, depending on how much i moved my mouse since entering orbit cam), making lining up beforehand pointless. Super annyoing. It only happens while in orbit cam. Positive note: the place where things go is now same with or without orbit cam, doesnt change anymore like in ase, thats nice. 6. It is nice how things can just be picked back up and everything connected comes with it. But why is the one thing you could always pick up in ase, the sleeping bag, now the only thing you can not pick up in asa? Let us pick it up! 7. Why is the vaults hitbox so much smaller than its visual model? Especially on the top it is off by a lot, on the sides it is less but still so much that canvases placed on the vault get covered completely by the vaults visual model. Besides those points, i like the new way snap points get handled, it is a lot less frustrating now. Also love how turrets can now go everywhere, thats a great change.
  5. Of course a wipe is possible, but i dont really see it coming, the situation is fundamentally different to what it was in ase when it left early access imo. Anyways, i would not mind a wipe, in fact id support yearly wipes for official servers. Keeps it interesting.
  6. I was really hoping for a change of the 255 cap. I made a suggestion for breeding long ago (link). I would have liked to see a cap of about 20 mutations per stat, could be a bit more. I think 70 is already too much. Now that we know that wildcard sticks to the old cap we can only hope that the new mutation multipliers are heavily reduced compared to what it was in ase. They should at least be cut in half imo. It could also be nice to see the multiplier decrease the more mutations you get in the respective stat, so it creates some kind of soft cap.

    Unfortunately, i think if we get an orp mode at all, it will be the same thing again, just a copy of what is used in pve. But i agree that there are a couple of issues, that could be fixed if the devs wanted. The easiest but very helpful changes would be to remove pincodes and personal ownership of structures in orp. Both those things allow for super easy orp abuse as you described. Furthermore i think the orp timer of 15 minutes could be increased a little bit, and structures should not be fully invincible until they decay. Heres a suggestion with debatable number examples just to illustrate the idea. In the first five days after a tribe logs out, the ORP system should provide full protection. But in the following five days, creatures and structures take 1/20th of the normal damage. In the five days after that, they take 1/10th of regular damage. After those 15 days, everything takes half damage if the tribe is still offline. After 20 days, most structures have already decayed anyways, even tek decays then (except for some reason a couple things like dedicated storage boxes, tek troughs and i think some others stay for up to 80 fckn days - please fix this!!!). Such a system could make it way harder for abusing tribes to maintain perma orp structures, and at the same time it gets easier for other tribes to catch them refreshing or to deal with the issue themselves as soon as stuff can take damage again. This should also help take some stress from the customer support because less tickets get sent in about orp abuse.

    Yes there were official orp clusters with one of each map. On pc there was one cluster for eu and one for na. I also hope we get this game mode in asa again. But sadly wildcard doesnt share any useful information…
  9. What game modes are planned for asa? I know smalltribes has been confirmed next to the regular official pvp and pve, but no word on anything else. I am personally interested to know whether we will have orp servers again, but it would be good to have a list of all planned modes, maybe even including new ones to replace less popular ones. Kinda important to know for a lot of people before buying the game.
  10. Why do many pve players always blame pvp for changes they dislike? Flyer speed nerf had its pros for pve too. Pve does not equal easy mode or creative mode. There are meant to be challenges. This general speed nerf now isnt necessarily a reaction only to issues that came up in pvp. Could very well be that the devs want you to rely more on dinos to get around and survive. Its a dino game after all.
  11. I have heard people say that the base movement speed might get raised for characters. Assuming that is indeed planned, it is a different situation for many of the complainers i guess. Yes, build variety would still be limited, but many asked for a cap instead of complete removal, and it would kinda be a cap, plus the points to reach that cap given to you for free by default. A bit of a nerf and a buff at the same time. Just specualting tho, we will see what happens.
  12. I do expect it to be new. Of course. Anything else would be weird. But the issue is that wildcard has not been able to deal with cheaters for years now. It is always a race between anti-cheat and cheat software, and wildcard not only lost that race, it seemed like they didnt even try in the past couple years. I am sure they will have an advantage in asa for a while, new cheats have to be developed first. But looking back in time, i really doubt that this advantage will last for long. Unless, and i do hope this is the case, wildcard suddenly learned how to deal with it and comes up with effective solutions. This game has not been centered around breeding before breeding was a thing. And i am not asking for breeding to be removed, just limited. I made a suggestion for it here if u wanna know my reasonings and ideas. I dont know how anybody can think years old dino lines are balanced or fun to play with, the strength of high end lines is way over the top. Also, no reason to call people whiney here. What is this referring to?
