So - seeing as this event is underwhelming, - judging by the response I'm not the only one thinking so - I'm going to suggest some things: Breeding: too much breaks the servers...3x should be manageable though Colors - if you had colors, noone would be complaining about the breeding thing. Color variation - in order to get more people playing, and to avoid server congestion, different color schemes for each map. Make people go to different maps to get 'em all. Any other suggestions? I'd like to hear em.

Underwhelming event, especially for a fifth anniversary - it'd be one thing if they were releasing the DLC to both console and PC at least. That would make it hype enough. But without that, a new dino and no breeding boost just doesn't cut it. You gotta pull out all the stops for a birthday. Noone wraps presents in brown paper.

Agree to disagree. There is no reason new abilities cannot be given equally to new creatures as to new mechanical creatures. Technical creatures take away somewhat from the feel of the game, making it less about the dinos. I'm not saying that tek rexes etc are "runining the game" or anything. But new dinos would have equal impact in my opinion, provided they were well-thought out and didn't unbalance the game. A herbivore that could challenge a giga (other than the titanosaur) might be a cool addition, for instance. I joined ark to ride a T-rex and run with a pack of raptors. Anything that enhances that magic is more welcome than say a new mech or vehicle.

Adding new dinos (or wyverns, or critters in general) would not be boring. Crafting creatures isn't as satisfying as taming or breeding for new stats. Was disappointed that the only new creature in Valguero was the deinonychus. While cool, I was looking forward to taming some other creatures, or to have access to rock drakes on more than one map perhaps. I'd heard rumors of a forest dragon, or a water dragon before it came out. Also that some of the other creatures from pc mods might make an appearance, for example that giant crocodile one I forget the name of (not the Sarco, obviously). Searching the new map for as yet undiscovered creature spawns and being the first or one of the first to have new creatures is the best part of the game.
