  1. Indeed, seems good now. There is still some odd behavior regarding availability, but I won't bother you with that until I can give a more precise description/repro. Thanks again for this software, without it I would consider breeding to be too much effort to be worth doing.
  2. Using version 0.25.2 and a fresh database I imported maps from TheIsland, Aberration, and Scorched earth. Import seemed to go well when I tried as a two-step process "Run default extraction" followed by "Import created json-file"; I did get some error when I originally attempted using the combined extract & import option from the same menu, but that's not what I'm really here about. Got this error when attempting to find breeding pairs for a certain Yutyranous. When the error popped up I was looking for partners for Tanit, who I should note was originally marked as "unavailable" by the import and was switched manually to "available". Not sure why the import thought she was unavailable but I suspect it might be related to why it's not finding any breeding partners for her? Most of my available dinos imported to available status, as they should have.
  3. Firstly, thank you for your work on the import feature! Secondly, sounds like a great plan going forward and as you say, for now there are workarounds. We can just transmit the parent-dinos all to one ark if needed, but for now we've just been adjusting the all-zeros dinos manually as there aren't many of them.
  4. Aha, ok then I think this is a result of me trying to merge multiple server save files together in one library. For a given rex, if he's alive on one map (Aberration) but only some of his offspring are present on another map (ScorchedEarth), then if I import both it's possible for the all-zeros version from scorched earth to overwrite the real values from aberration, or maybe the aberration values don't get saved because the all-zeros from scorched earth were already in there (I don't recall which order I imported the saves). It would be super cool if this could be addressed by having real-numbers records override all-zeros records some how if duplicate creatures are found on different imports. For now though we can work around it by managing which critters are on which maps, and entering some values manually. Thanks again for your efforts and assistance!
  5. I just noticed that some of our best Rex imported incorrectly; all their wild levels show as zero and when I go to edit them they default to wild instead of tamed or bred (some of each were affected). I'd be happy to share the server save file(s) and/or whatever else you need if you would like to investigate, just message me if this is desirable.
  6. Indeed, this solved my problem and I have imported the save data from all three servers to a single library. Only had to select-all and set status to available after that. Thanks again for the awesome tool and quick response!
  7. Hi Cad and thanks for the awesome software! Been using it on and off for a long time. I tried to use the new import-from-savefile feature and can't get it functioning, I'm not sure if I'm encountering a bug, doing something wrong, or attempting something unsupported. I note that you checked in an import fix that is not yet released, but I don't think the fix you checked in addresses the issue I'm seeing (which may be more of an ark-tools problem, not sure). I am admin on a private server cluster, we have three maps: Aberration, Scorched Earth, and The Island. I am using ASB version 0.25.0 with values 276.42.1. I've copied the server save files to my local computer, on a dropbox folder because I would like to share access with a couple other people on the server. My directory structure looks like this: ...\Dropbox\foo\ark-tools\ark-tools.exe for the ark tools executable ...\Dropbox\foo\ScorchedEarth_P.ark for the scorched earth save file, other two save files are in the same folder. ...\Dropbox\foo\Extracted-savefiles is the folder for extracted save-game. ...\Dropbox\foo\Ark.Smart.Breeding_0.25.0 is where the program is installed. ...\Dropbox\foo\import-test.xml is my test library I'm trying to populate. I'd like to make a new library containing critters from all three maps, if possible, but three new libraries (one for each map) would work fine too. I'm following the instructions in the release notes to the best of my ability. Here's what happens: 1) I start the program, click the new library option in the file menu, and verify the settings in the import tab of the file->settings window. When I click ok I'm prompted for a file name for the library so I give it import-test.xml. 2) I select file->ARKTools-Extraction from the menu. A console window flashes on my screen briefly but I don't see any text in it (just black) and it disappears in under a second. 3) I select file->Import from ARKTools... which prompts for a file selection. I navigate to the Extracted-savefiles folder and find that nothing is there. I am stumped. So it seems like the ark tools extraction is failing, but I don't know how to dig out more information on why or how it is failing. I've verified multiple times that no new files are created when I run the extraction, not the expected json file nor any kind of errror log or anything. Any ideas?
