  1. Inostrancevia or some other kind of Gorgonopsid Palaeoloxodon falconeri and Palaeoloxodon namadicus More ocean creatures both large and small, the seas should feel alive rather than feeling like a megalodon playground.
  2. This I can get behind, not sure why this wasn't added when they added the Sino.
  3. God no, no increased movement speed for fliers. 200% movement speed Lightning Wyverns aren't something we need to see ever again, much less for new fliers like the Rhyniognatha or Desmodus, who were balanced around having a fixed speed.
  4. I've considered this for a while, and I think no for Aberration Seekers. Aberration is the only map where Charge Light is really a thing you need to work with, and having Seekers there as a counter to it is really important. I think keeping them as they are on Aberration is good. On other maps though, I wouldn't be opposed to allowing Seekers to be tameable, or making larger variants that could be ridden (I used to like the idea of a "Charge Wyern" that was just a Wyvern-sized Seeker).
  5. Because they already have inbuilt damage resistance when not in the presence of charge light which can be further improved with the imprint bonus when you ride them. Unless they were changed recently, the natural armor gives around 80% damage resistance, equivalent to a 400 armor saddle. This is more than enough protection even without imprinting. Adding Mate Boost on top of this would not only increase their defense, but also their already high damage, meaning you make Reapers more powerful on both fronts. Reapers are fine without a mate boost. Even if they made the Reaper Queen tameable in ASA, I don't think a Mate Boost would be warranted.
  6. Or just transfer the saddle in the item transfer? I get some servers don't allow item transfers, but if that's the case why should you be allowed to circumnavigate that with equipped saddles anyways?
  7. You can't "tame" Trilobites the same way as other creatures, as they are functionless after being tamed. I think they're even bugged and unable to eat, eventually starving to death, but I'd have to confirm that. Even then, I think some creatures shouldn't be tameable, and Leeches are one of them.
  8. On the flipside, you save a lot of time with Cryopods when moving creatures from A to B simply because you don't have to path them there or make round trips with a flier. The big time suck with Cryopods is waiting for the cooldown to wear off, unless you're in a safe place and can protect your dinos. Yeah, the act of cryoing could be made a little more consistant, but I personally don't believe it should be shorter simply because of how fast and efficient Cryopods are already.
  9. Unfortunately, I don't have a knack for art or anything like that, so I'm only going to use this picture which I'll credit to the best of my abilities. Lisowicia is an incredibly large Dicynodont that can be found in large numbers across the wastes, with groups of ten to fifteen individuals being common sights. Alone, Lisowicia are fairly vulnerable to the various threats of the waste, as their rather nasty bite and considerable bulk can only do so much against the hordes of corrupted that stalk their home. Together however, Lisowicia can easily overcome even the most intimidating of foes, and with every herd member gained they become further emboldened. Taming- The Lisowicia taming process can be a bit tricky to learn at first, as their thick hide protects them from common narcotic threats like tranq arrows and scorpion stings, and getting aggressive with them will draw the ire of the whole herd. Instead, you should familiarize your desired Lisowicia with yourself and other tamed creatures, allowing it to simply get comfortable around you and see you as a herd member. Some creatures work better for this, like other medium sized Herbivores like Triceratops and Stegosaurus, while creatures like Tyrannosaurs and Argentavis will take much longer to be accepted(Other tamed Lisowicia are the best creature to use, and can cut the tame time in half). You can give the Lisowicia special foods that it asks for to speed up the process, however these aren't necessary for taming effectiveness. To keep effectiveness up, simply protect the Liso from harm. Note that Lisowicia will begin to freak out if taken away from the herd they spawned with, so you'll either have to stay in the wastelands or figure out a way to corral them all to a different spot together. It should be noted while Lisowicia can be tamed at any survivor level and do not require a saddle to ride, their saddle is only unlocked at level 52. Once tamed, the Lisowicia becomes indispensable. Thanks to their thick hides, Liso are largely resistant to projectile weapons, such as arrows, low caliber gunfire, and projectiles from living creatures(Note that they have no special resistance to damage from sources like turrets, mounted guns, explosives, and Tek based weaponry), and are virtually unaffected by anything that inflicts torpor. Their sharp beaks make them excellent berry collectors, but these can also be put to use for collecting meat and hide. This beak also makes them rather proficient bug killers, as it seemingly glides through tough chitin like a knife through butter(2x damage to insects). The strength of a Lisowicia is not in the individual however, but rather in a group. Lisos, unlike other group creatures, don't have a definitive group size limit, and grow in strength linearly with each new member. There is a 2% boost to Damage Dealt, Damage Resistance, Stamina Regen, and a 1% boost to Speed for every individual in the herd, meaning a herd of fifty Lisowicia will deal twice as much damage, be able to take twice as much damage, regenerate stamina twice as fast, and move fifty percent faster. At certain herd size thresholds, each individual also gains new abilities and resistances: >2 individuals: Locating Call- Puts an icon and distance counter over your other tamed Lisowicia in render range, useful for finding lost herd members or babies who have run off. >5 individuals: Intimidation- Small Corrupted Creatures and Medium normal creatures will not automatically agro to a herd of 5 or more tame Lisowicia. >10 individuals: Stampede- When fighting, any Lisowicia can randomly do a stampede call, which boosts attack speed and movement speed to all individuals by 25% for thirty seconds. This applies a two minute cooldown to the whole group. >15 individuals: Decreased Care- The herd as a whole loses food slower, regenerates health 15% faster, and can act as food troughs for one another should a couple run out of food in their inventories (This applies to baby Lisowicia as well). >20 individuals: Increased Intimidation- Medium Corrupted and Large normal creatures will no longer automatically agro to a herd of 20 or more tamed Lisowicia >30 individuals: It Takes A Whole Village- Baby Lisowicia near to the herd will mature 25% faster and receive a bonus to any imprints. >40 individuals: Herd Immunity- The whole herd gains immunity to effects like Frozen, Bleed, Gnashed, On Fire!, and other ailments. Also become immune to knockback. >50 individuals: Maximum Intimidation- Nothing will automatically attack a herd of 50 or more Lisowicia, even Corrupted Gigas. >75 individuals: Lisowicia Together Strong- +5 base damage and +100 armor to all individuals in the herd, and they can now damage Stone structures. Lisowicia are no longer instantly killed when being hit by Meteors or Orbital Drops, and instead will only lose 25% of their health. >100 individuals: Titan Slayers- Your army of Lisowicia gain triple damage to attacks against Titans and can now damage metal structures. Overall, Lisowicia is a strong and versatile mount on its own, but when you put in the time and effort to tame/raise a whole army of them, their strength compounds even further and rewards your persistence. Pair them with a couple Daeodons and Yutyrannus to create an unstoppable tide of what are normally peaceful herbivores.
  10. Sounds like an absolute task... At that rate you'd have to put the individual nails in your housing and tighten all the straps on your creature's saddles too. A slightly more involved method might be cool, but something so intricate would be cool at first and boring the 15th time you have to do it.
  11. I'd only be behind this for unofficial/singleplayer ngl. Official needs a clean slate, an entirely new start. Allowing your old characters to go to unofficial or singleplayer worlds sounds fine to me, but I don't think they should be allowed onto the new Official servers.
  12. The Center could do with an ocean boss, whose teleporter is at the bottom of the Trench. Maybe a sea serpent of some kind? Twisting around the whole area and attacking inwards towards your creatures. Ragnarok would probably fare well with either another Norse Mythology inspired boss like Sleipnir or Nidhogg, or something more standard, like a Griffin King Valguero really only has the Deinonychus for anything unique to go off of, so maybe a Deinonytitan? Either that, or maybe a Golem Boss based off the Chalk/Ice Golems.
  13. Not sure how you'd achieve this though, as JWE2 is a single player game that can easily block off content like that, whereas Ark is a multiplayer game where some people on a server may have the dinos and some not, so how would it work? Would they simply be made untamable to those players somehow(Which the devs would inevitably bug somehow), or would access to the saddles be restricted?
  14. Macropus (titan), Diprotodon, Palorchestes, Phascolonus, Nimbadon, and Phascolarctos (stirtoni) would all make for good additions, as would Sarcophilus (laniarius) and Microleo if you want even more.
  15. Yeah, Liopleurodon was a huge let down all for a silly reference. Pretty sure they changed the original dossier as well to reflect this, it was originally supposed to lower your oxygen consumption when riding.
  16. I remember when it used to be even louder by default, I think they turned it down like two or three times.
  17. I think an underground cavern jungle underneath the main waterway running down the middle of Scorched that is somehow filled with even more dangerous creatures than the surface would be nice.
  18. An excerpt from a thread of my own discussing large theropod dinosaurs, which happened to include my idea for a Giga TLC Giganotosaurus(Rework/TLC): The War Machine Slightly Larger than Rex-Sized Carnivore HP: 2000 Stam: 350 Oxygen: 150 Food: 4000 Weight: 700 MD: 76 Giganotosaurus is a large carnivore often found on mountains and in the Redwoods. They are physically imposing theropods that sit above all others on the food chain, and thus even an adult Tyrannosaur won’t dare attack one. Gigas will hunt anything and everything they can get their jaws around, and their large knife-like teeth cause deep lacerations with every bite. If this wasn’t bad enough, Gigas are relentless fighters, and don’t go down easily. Due to their large size, Gigas don’t take knockback from other dinosaur attacks and can’t be stunned by any means. In fact, even just fighting a Giga head on can be dangerous for other large carnivores, because Giga will become more and more infuriated as it loses health. At 75% health, it will gain a 15% boost to attack and damage resistance. At 50% health, it gains a further 10% damage boost and a 20% speed boost. Finally at 25% health, it will gain a 50% increase to both stamina and health regeneration for two minutes, as well as 10% more damage resistance. A Giga’s roar is ear splittingly loud, and can be used to deafen creatures for a short time, making them unable to receive positive effects from sound based abilities like Yutyrannus or Zhuchengtyrannus roars. This means launching an attack on a Giga is all about brute force, being able to outgun the Giga quickly and effectively. Taming a Giga is almost the same as it always has been, but it's relatively easier to KO this time around. Once you have it KO’d though, you should be careful, as every single creature in the area won’t hesitate at the chance to be rid of the Giga, and will attack it in a group effort to destroy it. You need to keep the Giga protected throughout the tame, but once you tame it you come into possession of the strongest theropod on the Arks. Tamed TLC Gigas have MUCH better stat growth than the current Gigas we have now. In addition, TLC Gigas gain access to the War Machine saddle, a heavy metal plated saddle that turns the Giga into a veritable tank. This saddle, much like the Andrewsarchus saddle, is heavily plated, and protects the Giga and its rider from being stunned by any means, as well as granting the rider infinite oxygen and some protection from the elements. Its armor value starts off at 75, and though blueprints for better ones are very rare, they can indeed be found. This does come at a cost however, as the War Machine Saddle makes swimming much more stamina intensive and it weighs quite a bit in the Giga’s inventory(100 units for primitive saddles, higher for saddles with a higher armor stat). This saddle boosts their usefulness in raids when combined with their overall strength, ability to remove/nullify sound based boosts, and bleed damage from their bites. Available On: The Island, Extinction, Genesis P1, Genesis P2, The Center, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, Fjordur Variants: Tek, Corrupt, R(Eden and Rockwell’s Garden)
  19. Ark 2 would be a weird reveal at this point, we don't even have Gen 2 yet. My hope is a recode for the game to properly iron out the bugs and balance issues we've been having for the past 5 years. All creatures getting rebalanced, all items being touched up(Seriously, things like the Assault Rifle and Electronic Spyglass need help) and other such changes would go a LONG way. Sure, recoding a game like Ark would take tons of effort, but in the end, it's probably best for Ark and possibly Ark 2 down the road, as it would show the devs truly do care about the game and community they've created over the years.
  20. Probably not. It's fairly normal to do something with more vigor once you see results, especially with working out and training. I used to do weight lifting and got really into it as I started to lose weight.
  21. Yeah, gameplay thing. Probably no engrams or levels in the lore either.
  22. Yeah, but a fish doesn't have hundreds of eyes pointing in different directions across a space the size of a biome. It's like having eyeballs all throughout your digestive tract, it would be hard to understand where exactly you are looking. Maybe Rockwell knows you're inside him but not exactly where you are, or the eyes only relay information if they spot something "out of the ordinary"(Maybe they have pseudo-brains?) so they can send a "priority signal" to the main brain and alert Rockwell. Just saying that having this many eyes for any organism would require quite a bit of biological trickery, enhanced or not.
  23. I mean personally, I think it would be tough for Rockwell to determine where the Survivor is in his entire body unless there were some kind of landmark inside of him. But if a Seer were to screech, Rockwell could feel that and know where the survivor is. Maybe I'm underestimating his capacity for knowing where we are, but it makes sense to me personally.
  24. Personally call the eye jellies "Seers" as that seems an appropriate filler name. The Seers are likely sentries of sorts that roam the insides of Rockwell to look for threats like the Survivor. Their cries alert Rockwell, which is why the tentacles emerge after it calls out(Probably just a trailer thing, but we'll see). This makes sense, seeing as how Nameless and Reapers act this way, and are also part of the Rockwell boss fight, meaning these may also be part of the final fight as minions. I really hope Seers are tameable in some capacity, they look awesome. Maybe if they're independent of Rockwell we can tame them? Or they'll be like Zomdodos and be claimable after we beat Rockwell? Even if they were tameable though, I doubt they'd be rideable.
