  1. Our August Update focuses entirely on Quality-of-Life improvements and bug fixes for the game. Many of the features listed below are things that have been requested by the community, and we’re happy to be able to deliver them. As always, if there are features you’d like to see in the game, the best place to leave your feedback is the #suggestions channel on our Discord or by pinging our @PlayARKMobile account on social media. A previous Blog Post touched on the changes being made to the Obelisk building radius, floating structure building mechanic, and resource cost of crafting TEK Structures. If you missed that post, click here to read more. ANGLER FISH TLC The Angler Fish can now harvest Silica Pearls using its bite attack. ARTHROPLUERA TLC The Arthropluera can now damage Stone, Metal and TEK structures with its melee attack. The Arthro also now receives more damage from explosives and ranged attacks. DUNGEON IMPROVEMENTS If a player manages to get pushed under the Dungeon map by an angry mob, you will now automatically be popped back up to the Dungeon floor, retaining your current inventory. Additionally, you can now tribute those extra Pt. Notes you’ve been storing in return for 1 Eery Element. SPYGLASS IMPROVEMENTS Players using the Spyglass can now view Torpor on targeted creatures. CHAT IMPROVEMENTS Tribe members and Allied Tribe members now have different colored names in chat. CUSTOM WELCOME MESSAGE ON UNOFFICIAL SERVERS Unofficial Server owners can now set a custom Welcome Message on their Nitrado server settings page. You can set a custom message and a custom title for the message box. SINGLE PLAYER IMPROVEMENTS We have added a Manual Save button in the Extras tab of your menu. This provides some extra assurance for those who are unsure if their game has saved recently. Additionally, players in Single Player can now redeem promotions that appear in the in-game store directly from their game, without having to enter a Multiplayer server. TEK IMPROVEMENTS We have increased the effective radius of the TEK Generator by 1.6x. This Generator requires a lot of resources to craft and run, as such we agree that the effective radius should reflect that. We have also added Gas Mask functionality to the TEK Helmet when powered by Eery Element. ADDITIONAL BUG FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS: Cubozoa Multis now correctly drops its Pt. Note once defeated in Single Player. Players are now served a warning that items will be dropped before Fast Traveling. The Sarco can no longer be picked up in PvE (anti-griefing measure). When using & disabling the Fly command in God Console while mounted on a tame, that creature will no longer fly off into the sunset when you dismount. Mailable Gifts in Multiplayer now contain updated loot tables with additional possible gifts. Patch Notes are no longer served upon repeated launches of the game after a game update. Fix for Chronicled Implants wrongfully showing that they will revive as Wild. Creatures such as the Titanosaur which are not able to be revived can no longer be Chronicled.

  3. If you're having a stability issue on iOS, I suggest you perform a hard reset on your device. Google "Hard Reset" + your specific device model for instructions.
  4. Unofficial Server owners already have an option to enable building at Obelisks and Caves in their server options settings. This will not change.
  5. We’d like to take a minute and talk about some upcoming changes to the game. Our next update is focused entirely on Quality-of-Life improvements and bug fixes. Many of these changes are influenced by community feedback that we’ve received across social media, our Discord suggestions channel, and even a particular shared Google Doc. Below are just a few of the changes coming in the update which we’d like to give you advanced notice on now. This update is currently targeting mid-August and contains almost two dozen various fixes & improvements. We’ll discuss more of its contents as the release date gets closer. OBELISK BUILDING RADIUS In order to ensure that all players can access the Obelisks for tributing & Dungeon access, we are expanding the no-build radius around each one on all Multiplayer Servers. Please consult the map below for visualizations of the areas where you will no longer be able to build. Note that this restriction covers the airspace above each Obelisk as well. Once the mid-August update drops, any structures within this area will automatically be wiped. If you have a base in this area, please take the next two weeks to move your base outside of this radius. FLOATING STRUCTURES Starting with this update, the building exploit which allows you to build “floating” structures will no longer work in any game mode. Any pre-existing structures will remain untouched, however you may find that they will be destroyed once you remove or change a piece of the structure post-update. If you currently have “floating” structures built, our recommendation is that you remove anything valuable from them before the mid-August update. TEK STRUCTURE RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS We’ve heard your feedback on the high Eery Element cost of crafting TEK structures, and we agree. A successful Dungeon run should allow you to craft more than one TEK structure. As such, starting with this next update, the Eery Element requirement on all core building structures (ie. Foundations, Walls, Doors, etc.) will be reduced by 50%. See you in the Dungeons, WarDrumJordan

  8. Developer Status Update (June 20) Our team has been working tirelessly for the past 3 days on a game update to fix issues that were found when 2.0 was released earlier this week. Our updates always go through rigorous amounts of testing, but no amount of testing can account for what hundreds of thousands of players will find when they get their hands on it. We have now identified all of the critical issues and submitted this update to Apple for approval, and hope to be able to release it by tomorrow (Friday). This update will address the server issues that some players have been experiencing on Official and Unofficial servers, alongside the following fixes; Fixed rare case of losing amber or premium items in dungeons Our Support Team is currently working through the tickets from players who experienced this issue and will issue compensation soon. Fixed Admin Console exploit on Unofficial Servers The exploit of keeping cheats on in the Dungeons in Unofficial Servers has been fixed. This was causing people to lose their purchased items, break their server saves, and ruin the experience for others. Dungeon map displays where you've been during current login You can now see where you’ve been during your current Dungeon run. Fixed map icons The improved map icons from Update 1.1.21 have been restored. Fixed Chest collision We have fixed the broken collision which made the chest that appears on the steps inaccessible. We have also expanded collision on all chests so that you do not have to get as close to open them. Megapithecus Boss Arena minion spawning fix Dungeon Trap fixes We have slowed down the Lava Trap and added notifications for the Spike Trap. Fix for a certain mobile-exclusive creature going invisible once tamed Changed loot tables Nobody really wants to receive cooked meat in the Dungeons, do they? We've also taken this opportunity to tweak some gameplay numbers and make certain parts of the Dungeon easier based on player feedback. We want these dungeons to be very challenging, but not frustrating. Astute players may also notice a few other surprises that we’ve snuck into this update. See you in the Dungeons, Jordan
  9. Yes, buffs work in the Dungeons
  10. Our 2.0 update is releasing this coming Monday, June 17th. Our biggest update yet celebrates our one year anniversary with all-new Dungeons, the introduction of TEK, Tame Chronicling and a whole lot more! Here’s just some of what you have to look forward to: DUNGEONS Dungeons are the most challenging activity we’ve ever put into the game. Available once you reach Level 40, you can access them from any Obelisk or REDACTED. Once inside, it’s up to you to collect as much loot as you can and find the Boss Teleporter before time runs out. Many obstacles will stand in your way, and only those who defeat the Boss will be able to extract their non-consumable loot for use back on the Island. All players are granted one free entry into the Dungeons each day, while Primal Pass holders get a bonus free daily entry. Subsequent daily entries will cost an increasing amount of Amber. Every Tuesday will see a brand-new Dungeon released, with the previous week’s Dungeon returning to the archives. In Single Player you will be able to select certain Dungeons from previous weeks, though the entry cost is increased when the Dungeon is no longer featured. TEK This update also introduces TEK items to the game. Our TEK items function a little differently from what some players may know from PC & Console, and can only be obtained via blueprints found in Dungeons. Every Dungeon contains at least one chest with a guaranteed TEK drop. There is only a limited variety of TEK blueprints available each week, and these can be viewed within the Dungeon Access Key. If you miss a TEK blueprint, you will have to wait for another Dungeon to come around that features it. All TEK is powered with Eery Element, which can only be obtained by defeating bosses in the Dungeons. There is no limit to the amount of Eery Element you can earn in a week from boss battles. TAME CHRONICLING Tame Chronicling is an easy way to store your tames for later use, and gain back some of those cherished tame slots. To Chronicle a tame, simply open the creature’s options menu and select the Chronicle button. This process requires the creature to be awake, at full health, with its implant in your inventory, and costs 1 Eery Element. Once Chronicled, the tame can be restored at any revival platform for a flat cost of 2 Ancient Amber (regardless of creature level). EERIE CREATURES All creatures in the Dungeons, both passive and aggressive, are Eerie. This even includes the new creatures we’re introducing - the REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED and REDACTED. If you manage to make it out of the Dungeons with an Eerie Implant, you can revive the creature for use back on the Island. These creatures’ Eerie effects even extend to breeding! In order for an Eerie baby to be born, both parents must be Eerie. It's also possible that two Eerie parents can have a normal baby with a "reverse" mutation. This was implemented for all of our breeders out there who may want a normal variation of our new creatures. And with that, I now leave you to strategize on how you’ll complete your first Dungeon run. Will you focus on bringing lots of consumables, or perhaps multiple stacks of ammunition? Are you going to go in blind with your finest gear, or scout it out first before making your decision? The choice is yours. You are not prepared. 12. Tomorrow marks the launch of our first experimental server in ARK Mobile, King of the Hill. Launching in all 3 regions, these PvP Hard servers will go live at staggered times on Wednesday, May 15th. Just as the name sounds, you are tasked with becoming King of the ultimate Hill on the Island - the Volcano. As soon as the server goes live, you have exactly two weeks to become the Alpha Tribe and own the Volcano. At the specified end time on Wednesday, May 29th the winners will be determined, and then all structures & tames will be subsequently wiped from the Island. Each member of the winning tribe will be awarded early access to an upcoming TEK Blueprint alongside a stack of 100x Eery Element, and the tribe owner will be granted a complimentary 12-slot Nitrado server rental for 3 months. This is a new experiment that we’re trying out, and we’ll make adjustments based on player feedback. Want the next event to last longer? Certain rules changed? Be sure to let us know, we’re listening. Server: King of the Hill (PvP Hard AS) Start Time: 5/15/19 at 11:00am EST End Time: 5/29/19 at 11:00am EST Server: King of the Hill (PvP Hard EU) Start Time: 5/15/19 at 12:00pm EST End Time: 5/29/19 at 12:00pm EST Server: King of the Hill (PvP Hard NA) Start Time: 5/15/19 at 1:00pm EST End Time: 5/29/19 at 1:00pm EST FAQ: Which hill must I conquer? The Volcano, which is located at 42, 38. Can we have allies? Tribes may ally with each other, but only one tribe will be selected as the winner. Which TEK Blueprint will be the reward? The rollout of our TEK Blueprints is still in the planning phase, but we can promise it will be a sought-after TEK item and you will be given the Blueprint at least 3 weeks before it appears in the Dungeon loot table. Reward will be delivered shortly after the June 17th 2.0 Update. *Winners will receive a promo code for the blueprint when it is ready to be released to them. We will get in contact winners at the conclusion of the event. What happens when the event is over? King of the Hill servers will be taken offline at the precise end time posted above so that we may determine the winners without interference from players. Once winners have been determined, these servers will be brought back online. At that point, you may transfer off the server or stick around until the next event begins. We will announce details on the start of the next event soon. Can I transfer in and out of this server? Yes, if you already have a Survivor on another PvP or PvX Hard server, you can transfer them over. Likewise, you can transfer off the server whenever you like. Will players really be wiped? Yes, we will wipe all structures & tames from the Island before the next event begins. Anything you would like to keep (including purchased items) must be in your player inventory before 11:59am on May 29th, 2019. This ensures a fresh start for everybody when the next round of King of the Hill begins. Are there boosted rates? 2x Harvesting will be turned on for this initial event.

  14. Our upcoming April Update will bring some changes to the Soothing Balm economy - both major and minor. Over the past year since we first released our Beta, we’ve noticed that many players do not need the full 10x power of a standard Soothing Balm. As such, we are introducing the brand-new Minor Soothing Balm, which provides a 3x taming boost for the lower price of just 10 Ancient Amber. On the flip-side of this, we are also introducing Major Soothing Balm to better help those of you who are taming more difficult creatures, such as the Giganotosaurus and Brontosaurus. Major Soothing Balm will provide a 15x taming boost and cost 40 Ancient Amber. The standard Soothing Balm will be replaced by these new Balms in the in-game store in the April Update, though it will remain available from other in-game sources such as Free Gifts and Pursuit rewards. You will still keep any that are currently in your inventory or storage containers when the update is released. See you on the Island, Jordan War Drum Studios View full record
