  1. Yes, buffs work in the Dungeons
  2. Our 2.0 update is releasing this coming Monday, June 17th. Our biggest update yet celebrates our one year anniversary with all-new Dungeons, the introduction of TEK, Tame Chronicling and a whole lot more! Here’s just some of what you have to look forward to: DUNGEONS Dungeons are the most challenging activity we’ve ever put into the game. Available once you reach Level 40, you can access them from any Obelisk or REDACTED. Once inside, it’s up to you to collect as much loot as you can and find the Boss Teleporter before time runs out. Many obstacles will stand in your way, and only those who defeat the Boss will be able to extract their non-consumable loot for use back on the Island. All players are granted one free entry into the Dungeons each day, while Primal Pass holders get a bonus free daily entry. Subsequent daily entries will cost an increasing amount of Amber. Every Tuesday will see a brand-new Dungeon released, with the previous week’s Dungeon returning to the archives. In Single Player you will be able to select certain Dungeons from previous weeks, though the entry cost is increased when the Dungeon is no longer featured. TEK This update also introduces TEK items to the game. Our TEK items function a little differently from what some players may know from PC & Console, and can only be obtained via blueprints found in Dungeons. Every Dungeon contains at least one chest with a guaranteed TEK drop. There is only a limited variety of TEK blueprints available each week, and these can be viewed within the Dungeon Access Key. If you miss a TEK blueprint, you will have to wait for another Dungeon to come around that features it. All TEK is powered with Eery Element, which can only be obtained by defeating bosses in the Dungeons. There is no limit to the amount of Eery Element you can earn in a week from boss battles. TAME CHRONICLING Tame Chronicling is an easy way to store your tames for later use, and gain back some of those cherished tame slots. To Chronicle a tame, simply open the creature’s options menu and select the Chronicle button. This process requires the creature to be awake, at full health, with its implant in your inventory, and costs 1 Eery Element. Once Chronicled, the tame can be restored at any revival platform for a flat cost of 2 Ancient Amber (regardless of creature level). EERIE CREATURES All creatures in the Dungeons, both passive and aggressive, are Eerie. This even includes the new creatures we’re introducing - the REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED and REDACTED. If you manage to make it out of the Dungeons with an Eerie Implant, you can revive the creature for use back on the Island. These creatures’ Eerie effects even extend to breeding! In order for an Eerie baby to be born, both parents must be Eerie. It's also possible that two Eerie parents can have a normal baby with a "reverse" mutation. This was implemented for all of our breeders out there who may want a normal variation of our new creatures. And with that, I now leave you to strategize on how you’ll complete your first Dungeon run. Will you focus on bringing lots of consumables, or perhaps multiple stacks of ammunition? Are you going to go in blind with your finest gear, or scout it out first before making your decision? The choice is yours. You are not prepared. 4. Tomorrow marks the launch of our first experimental server in ARK Mobile, King of the Hill. Launching in all 3 regions, these PvP Hard servers will go live at staggered times on Wednesday, May 15th. Just as the name sounds, you are tasked with becoming King of the ultimate Hill on the Island - the Volcano. As soon as the server goes live, you have exactly two weeks to become the Alpha Tribe and own the Volcano. At the specified end time on Wednesday, May 29th the winners will be determined, and then all structures & tames will be subsequently wiped from the Island. Each member of the winning tribe will be awarded early access to an upcoming TEK Blueprint alongside a stack of 100x Eery Element, and the tribe owner will be granted a complimentary 12-slot Nitrado server rental for 3 months. This is a new experiment that we’re trying out, and we’ll make adjustments based on player feedback. Want the next event to last longer? Certain rules changed? Be sure to let us know, we’re listening. Server: King of the Hill (PvP Hard AS) Start Time: 5/15/19 at 11:00am EST End Time: 5/29/19 at 11:00am EST Server: King of the Hill (PvP Hard EU) Start Time: 5/15/19 at 12:00pm EST End Time: 5/29/19 at 12:00pm EST Server: King of the Hill (PvP Hard NA) Start Time: 5/15/19 at 1:00pm EST End Time: 5/29/19 at 1:00pm EST FAQ: Which hill must I conquer? The Volcano, which is located at 42, 38. Can we have allies? Tribes may ally with each other, but only one tribe will be selected as the winner. Which TEK Blueprint will be the reward? The rollout of our TEK Blueprints is still in the planning phase, but we can promise it will be a sought-after TEK item and you will be given the Blueprint at least 3 weeks before it appears in the Dungeon loot table. Reward will be delivered shortly after the June 17th 2.0 Update. *Winners will receive a promo code for the blueprint when it is ready to be released to them. We will get in contact winners at the conclusion of the event. What happens when the event is over? King of the Hill servers will be taken offline at the precise end time posted above so that we may determine the winners without interference from players. Once winners have been determined, these servers will be brought back online. At that point, you may transfer off the server or stick around until the next event begins. We will announce details on the start of the next event soon. Can I transfer in and out of this server? Yes, if you already have a Survivor on another PvP or PvX Hard server, you can transfer them over. Likewise, you can transfer off the server whenever you like. Will players really be wiped? Yes, we will wipe all structures & tames from the Island before the next event begins. Anything you would like to keep (including purchased items) must be in your player inventory before 11:59am on May 29th, 2019. This ensures a fresh start for everybody when the next round of King of the Hill begins. Are there boosted rates? 2x Harvesting will be turned on for this initial event.

  6. Our upcoming April Update will bring some changes to the Soothing Balm economy - both major and minor. Over the past year since we first released our Beta, we’ve noticed that many players do not need the full 10x power of a standard Soothing Balm. As such, we are introducing the brand-new Minor Soothing Balm, which provides a 3x taming boost for the lower price of just 10 Ancient Amber. On the flip-side of this, we are also introducing Major Soothing Balm to better help those of you who are taming more difficult creatures, such as the Giganotosaurus and Brontosaurus. Major Soothing Balm will provide a 15x taming boost and cost 40 Ancient Amber. The standard Soothing Balm will be replaced by these new Balms in the in-game store in the April Update, though it will remain available from other in-game sources such as Free Gifts and Pursuit rewards. You will still keep any that are currently in your inventory or storage containers when the update is released. See you on the Island, Jordan War Drum Studios

  12. Our March 2019 update is now available! This update includes a few new features alongside a bunch of player-requested improvements and bug fixes. ASCENDANT CREATURE UNLOCK This Unlock is available in Single Player only, and allows you to remove all tamed creature level limits. Launching at 40% off for a limited time, this purchase lets you to add up to 2,000,000,000 XP to your tames and put your levels into whatever stats you see fit. Want a Rex with 10,000% melee damage or a Pteranodon with 1000% movement speed? No problem. Your creatures will still earn XP via traditional methods, but that rate will naturally slow down as their levels get higher and higher. To help with this, we’ve made it so that Potent Dust consumption grants 1,000,000 XP to your tames with the Ascendant Creature Unlock. Additionally, God Console owners can use the Level Up Target button to achieve similar results. TIDY SAVE BUTTON This is an improvement we’ve been working on for all of our players out there having trouble backing up their Single Player save data to the cloud. Found in the Extras menu, this button will remove excess game data and shrink your save file to a size compatible with Google & Apple’s storage limits. NEW STORE ITEMS You can now find the Equus statue, Manticore Helmet Skin, and Direwolf Rug available in the in-game store. Additionally, we have updated the Dodo Rug to re-size itself based on the size of the Dodo whose implant was placed in the rug. GOD/ADMIN CONSOLE - RECOLOR TARGET BUTTON Owners of God Console and Admins on Unofficial Servers now have access to the Recolor Target button. Just as the button sounds, this will re-roll the color scheme of any creature it is targetting. ADDITIONAL PATCH NOTES Direwolves, Procoptodons & Chalicotheriums can wear helmets Revived creatures maintain spayed/neutered status Increased Griffin base weight 25% C4 decays after 15 minutes in PvX & PvXc game modes Removed Griffin level up prevention in God Console Unclaimed creatures can no longer mate Photo Mode Reporting disabled on Unofficial Servers Wild Raptors can no longer be carried in PvE & PvX game modes Unofficial Server Transfers now have a 7 day cooldown before being able to transfer back to the server you left Infinite weight exploit fixed with chairs, benches and turrets Creature Implants no longer grant Potent Dust when ground. Ancient Amber now grants additional Potent Dust when ground.

  14. We are happy to announce that v2.0 of ARK Mobile is on track to release by June 2019. This next major update for the game introduces Dungeons, Tek items, new creatures, the Chronicling system for your tames, and more! DUNGEONS Dungeons bring a new experience to both Single Player & Multiplayer that has never been seen before in the ARK franchise. These dungeons are full of long winding pathways, numerous enemy rooms, loot chests and booby traps. If you make it to the end alive, you’ll need to defeat the Boss in order to extract your loot for use back on the Island. Dungeons rotate on a weekly basis. Every week introduces an entirely new dungeon layout that you’ve never seen before. We use procedural generation to create all-new layouts, then hand curate the best enemy and loot placement. You’ll be entering these Dungeons on foot, without the benefit of any tames coming along with you. This is the ultimate challenge - if you die, you’ll need to start over from the beginning. Health does not regenerate and there are no item caches to retrieve. You’ll need to rely only on items brought with you or resources that you find once inside. Once completed, you can continue running the Dungeons as many times as you like. Your first entry is free each day, and subsequent entries will cost an increasing amount of Ancient Amber. Primal Pass holders are granted two free entries daily. TEK Each week will introduce different Tek Blueprints that can only be acquired from loot chests in that week’s Dungeon. Searching for that elusive Tek Rifle Blueprint? You’ll need to complete the Dungeon during the week that it’s available, otherwise it goes back into the vault until it surfaces again in a future Dungeon. Loot chests will not only contain Tek Blueprints though. You will also find Premium items and resources that you’ll need to make it through to the end such as food, ammo and water. Once you defeat the Boss, all non-consumable loot comes with you and you’re able to respawn at any zone or bed back on the Island. CREATURES You will encounter many creatures in the Dungeons - both aggressive and passive. While you may recognize many creatures from the Island, you’ll notice they now have an Eerie glow to them. Additionally all new creatures that we add, such as the Troodon, will only spawn in the Dungeons. All of these creatures’ implants can be removed and revived back on the Island, where you can start your own army of Eerie tames. Aggressive enemies are only encountered in enemy rooms, where you’ll be blocked from leaving and tasked with defeating increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Other players can still join you mid-fight, but nobody can progress to the next room until all waves are cleared. BOSSES Your final task before completing the Dungeon is to defeat the Boss. We have approximately 10 different Bosses that are currently in development. Some will be familiar faces from PC & Console, such as the Megapithecus, and others will be Bosses that you’ve never seen before. Each Boss battle can accommodate up to 10 players in Multiplayer, and will begin once players have made their way to the Teleport Pad. You’ll face a time limit once the Boss battle begins, and if you’re successful, will reap Eery Element as your reward. This Eery Element can be used to craft Tek Blueprints and Chronicle your tames. CHRONICLING Chronicling is the process of forcing your tame back into its implant and freezing it until future use. Once chronicled, the implant decay timer is removed and your tame will no longer count against your personal tame slots or the server tame limit. Tames can be chronicled using Eery Element, and revived when needed for only 2 Ancient Amber, regardless of their level. We have a lot more in store for ARK Mobile 2.0, and can’t wait to share more with you over the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
