  1. There are a couple of issues with the beetle this time. One is that a flying insect only just won the last vote. And another issue is that the guy who posted it this time wasn't the original artist, and he kind of messed things up.
  2. You make some good points, thanks, I will think about them. But I'm hesitant to change too much with the post at this stage. If it does end up winning, I'm pretty sure they will read through these comments and take into consideration the things that you and others have said.
  3. Yup, it's a very good point. I will update the post to make that clear before we get to the next phase of voting. Glad you like it, thanks.
  4. Yup, especially with wyvern eggs that need a lot of air cons! I don't want to give it too many abilities because I know if it wins, it will get nerfed. We've seen it happen every time an OP creature wins the vote.
  5. Thanks. If you think about the maewing though, that's in the same situation, it can be used for breeding sat at base, or it can be used as a fast travel mount. It's not great on the offence, but that's ok, that's game balance, it shouldn't be good at everything.
  6. Looking back now, I wish I had. Out of the current top 10, mine was the last to be posted, which meant I had to catch up on a lot of votes, so I took advantage of my platform to do so. I had no idea at the time how well it was going to be received. Once I realised I was quickly rising to the top of the list I stopped promoting it. It's difficult to say how much of an impact it's had, but what I do know is that it's still gaining the most votes even though I'm not bringing any traffic in any more, I don't think that's because of my name, I think people just like the idea. Anyway, if I ever do another one in the future I will do so completely anonymously
  7. Glad to hear it, thanks. I don't plan on making any major changes at this point regardless of all the suggestions. I will probably add the reasonable ones to the bottom of the post as potential features for wildcard to consider if this does win. But I'm not gonna be the guy that tries to get extra votes by adding OP abilities.
  8. I know a lot of people would like that, but I'm trying not to give it abilities that WildCard likely won't implement. They have already said they will be making changes to how breeding works in ASA, so that's a huge unknown that I am trying to stay away from.
  9. That's a good point, I hadn't thought about that. Although, I suppose you've got the same situation with phoenix. If it wins, wildcard are likely to change it anyway.
  10. Nice idea, thanks. My brother had a few Rhea so I have indeed heard the boom. I'll have to look up the Emu and maybe a few others. It's a good idea. I've got quite a few extra suggestions from people that I will probably round up and add to the post as potential additional features.
  11. The word 'Fluffy' was putting me off initially. I was thinking, surely it would be better suited to a snow biome. But after looking at it on Wikipedia, I think it would fit in great on Scorched. I'd say they are more hairy than fluffy, but I guess fluffy sounds better 😆 "Jumping spiders live in a variety of habitats. Tropical forests harbor the most species, but they are also found in temperate forests, scrubland, deserts, intertidal zones, and mountainous regions." Jumping spider - Wikipedia
  12. "Dinornis were very adaptable and were present in a wide range of habitats from coastal to alpine." " Eggs may have been laid in communal nests in sand dunes" Dinornis - Wikipedia New Zealand has a variety of deserts, including: Sand dunes: New Zealand's largest sand dune system is located in the Catlins, on the South Island's southeast coast. The dunes are up to 30 meters high and cover an area of over 3,000 hectares. Stony deserts: These deserts are found in the interior of the South Island and are characterized by rocky outcrops and sparse vegetation. Volcanic deserts: These deserts are found on the North Island and are characterized by volcanic ash and rock formations. Tundra deserts: These high altitude deserts are found in the Southern Alps of the South Island and are characterized by cold temperatures, high winds, and sparse vegetation.
  13. I hadn't even noticed they don't have wings, lol. I guess they can fluff their feathers out to slow their fall, like a rubbish parachute.
