  1. in addition to the volcano, it also looks kinda toxic with all the fumes ( people in the other teaser had gasmasks, right ? )
  2. Since we already thought about the element corrupting the simulations hardware and creating glitches, maybe it also corrupted them ? I feel like that could be a thing, especially because of your last sentence
  3. i'm pretty sure that the thing in the top is a tek rex, although it may be a dead one. There's even another one on the black rock at the right edge of the original picture
  4. i hope this will be as fun as traveling with rockdrakes
  5. am i the only one who felt that the lunar stuff always looked kinda small ? Well i changed my opinion because of this image, because i saw the metal notes near the vent and oh my, they are tiny compared to everything else. With that in mind, the hover skiff must be really big, right ? Also, can anyone identify the creatures on the right side of the picture ? There seem to be atleast two different kinds of animals there. The one on the rock and on the pathway above looks like a reskinned rollrat, but i'm not sure what the glowing one is Nvm the part with the animals, somebody on twitter said that they may be tek dinos, a tek stego and tek rexes and it makes sense because the devs mentioned tek dinos when they revealed the lunar biome
  6. i crafted them on the island without blueprints in a tek replicator a few weeks ago, but it was a s+ one so i don't know if this also applies to the vanilla ones
  7. oh god, i hope it doesn't affect creatures, or if it does, then atleast not the bigger ones Imagine chilling on you're base in the middle of the ocean that you build on a giant turtle and of these starts and pulls the whole thing into the depths
  8. that's neat ! Btw, near the moeders children there's also the whirlpool/vortex from the store page description: Conquering each area requires preparation, smarts, and the ability to improvise so that when a volcano rains fire from the sky, an avalanche buries you, or a whirlpool pulls you into the briny deep, you’re ready to meet the challenge!
  9. i agree, it's definitely worse than just a virus
  10. this could tie in really good with the element corrupting the "hardware" of the genesis simulation, the fractals would then be some manifestation in form of a glitch/virus whatever we're gonna call it
  11. [LOG_TRANSMIT] Requesting status report. [LOG_RECEIVE] Status: intact -- despite the destruction around me. [LOG_TRANSMIT] Try to keep the violence at acceptable levels. [LOG_TRANSMIT] Use 23944be9-e999-4fb4-b0d0-deeecae1560a as the validation code for your next terminal entry. Terminal Entry [LOG_RECEIVE] Terminal Entry MM-09 [LOG_RECEIVE] Explosive munitions are a staple in warfare, [LOG_RECEIVE] But there's an obvious problem: [LOG_RECEIVE] How to ensure they explode "there," not "here." This is the text for the teaser, but that isn't really helpful either tbh
  12. Yeah that could definitely be true, wasn't their also something about establishing a link or something during the genesis countdown ?
  13. It's the tek grenade launcher, was teased a while ago and everyone thought it was the cruise missile until the actual teaser for the missile came out
  14. We have remind ourselves that the base of the genesis simulation still seems to be on earth, to be specific in arrat prime. Maybe the element corruption is messing with some of the technology behind the simulation and thus creating these glitches ?
  15. So i zoomed in on the poster and guys, look closer at the portal where the fractals are coming out Could this be the endboss ? Whatever it is, it looks like something of titan-ic proportions
  16. i still preodered tbh, i couldn't possibly make do with only videos, especially when it comes to seing stuff for the first time, i kinda would like to experience most things myself
  17. it doesn't need to sink in, i have a countdown and everything hahaha
  18. The homo Deus aren't corrupted, but most of them are kinda brain dead from what extinctions explorer notes say. They all were once human and being a homo Deus just put too much of a strain on them over the centuries or thousands of years they existed. The explorer notes don't say much about it's goal, but it's definitely described to be somewhat alive and conscious in a primitive way , while also being full of hatred and hunger
  19. Tbh I kinda expected them dropping it like they did with extinction, and I did for quite some time, but I kinda thought they would release it a week before the release, so yeah also caught me off guard ?
  20. really excited for a new soundtrack, if the main theme already sounds this nice, i can't wait for the bossfights and a ascension ( assuming there will be one)
  21. yeah, i think it's for the best to leave it at that ?
  22. I would definitely say it's them not thinking about it in a lore way, the fact that the tek turret does need electronics is likely due to the fact that all turrets more or less cost the same types of materials, just compare the crafting cost of the auto turret, the heavy one and the tek turret. The tek turret of course needs element added to the usal stuff (Metal, Poly, CP and Electronics), but it's still mostly the same stuff. So more of a game design choice i would say
  23. So if i got that right you're saying that they would have fixed the energy loss by the end of earth, but at the same time, the walls at the observation deck and the element walls on aberration still pulse ... just because theres a lot of energy going around at their locations? The arks where build pretty close to the end, so by then they should have fixed it, if it was possible ? Wouldn't it make sense and try to prevent "energy waste" from happening at some really vital components, if they could ? What makes you so sure that the element is doing the computer-type stuff ? We could also be dealing with some advanced electronics, but even that isn't neccessary. All of the stuff you mentioned could very well be done by some regular old circuitry, like there is no need for the element to do any kind of computing job here. Let's take the tek door for example: A door that opens when you approach it. Why the heck would it specifically need element to communicate that ? It's a lot more plausible that it just uses some kind of motion sensor and that the element used building it plays some role in the door being a force-field. I mean it kinda works like your everyday automatic sliding door. Even all of the other things mentioned could be handled by regular circuitry. But the element seems to be converting whatever it's energy is into electricity when used as fuel? I would just stick to the part with the current computations being done by electricity, instead of saying that the element has it's own way of transfering data wirelessly. There are more then enough ways to transmit data wirelessly already, like sure, the circuits in any kinds of tek would definitely be more advanced than anything from the current era, but i still don't see why it would be element based circuitry.
  24. Finally we're getting a tek version of the grill, it better makes some good lasagna
