  1. Despite the second logo also belonging to the feddies i still agree with this part though, because some genesis notes reference cooperation during the developement of the arks and the simulation, for example the genesis chronicles mention the magmasaur being tested on scorched earth before it was decided to only have it in the simulation. So the theorie of both nations atleast calling a truce and working together to some degree sounds pretty good if you ask me
  2. I was just looking through some stuff and i think i read somewhere that the second logo stands for "Federation Armed Forces" ?
  3. Nothing against you either, but i do get your point and just think it's doesn't hold up too well once one goes through it's base. For example this part: I'm aware of that note, but i would argue that "off-brand" just means cheap/worse quality here, especially considering the context of the situation, with a bunch of soldiers and engineers having to build everything from scratch. What i'm trying to say is that it probably only meant they built a makeshift one and not that all URE tek is offbrand ( and even if the suit was off brand, it wouldn't automatically mean the rest of tek was too ). Now as for the argument that the we craft the very same stuff that they craft, isn't a bit odd to take gameplay as a base to discuss the lore, especially since both of these things are rarely connected in the actual gameplay ? The connection's just a bit too inconsistent to get anything meaningful out of it in my opinion. Of course that doesn't mean everything that happens in the game isn't valid for lore, but i would probably take a step back and rather base it on things like cutscenes or info from wildcard. That aside, i actually don't disagree with the point that we are making URE tek ( aka. the same as they craft ), due to the arks being the UREs response to the elements infection as opposed to the federation with the Simulation/colony ship, so from a lore only perspective it still makes sense that survivors on the ark would build URE tek. I just don't think that our suit is worse than the federation one. The absence of a logo on our tek armor doesn't mean it wasn't used in wars, as Diana mentions being fully certified for Tek Armor in the same note you quoted in the beginning ( and the one we wear ingame according to your argument ), which means that the URE trained parts of its military with it. According to your argument that we use the same stuff as them, that then means that the same tek armor we use ingame was also used in wars, which leads me to believe that it's on par with the federation suit. Also, considering the fact that the URE and the federation both have their own aesthetics when it comes to tek, i don't believe it's superior just because of a different look. ImOnFyre made a post about it's look a bit ago and i think it sums it up better than i could do.
  4. Why does that post prove any of these claims ? Why would our tek be the rip-off and not the other way around ? Especially that part seems a bit odd to me, considering the fact that one of dianas notes on aberration even mentions Santiago reverse engineering URE tek. Because of that note i would say that both sides indeed stole designs from each other, so instead of declaring one of the sides "fake tek" i would rather say that both are kind off legit
  5. Oh damn, i somehow managed to miss the 3 posts before mine, my bad Didn't think about it like that, makes sense to me
  6. Has anyone else noticed the line going straight down from it's mouth ? Looks kinda like it would be able to open it's body along it or something like that. Btw, i saw a hint on twitter ( i attached it for anyone too lazy to search ), which leads me to believe that this thing is gonna change its body in one way or another, whether it's gonna tranform ferox style or if it will do something like open its chest and reveal something horrific
  7. am i the only one who can't see the images ?
  8. I agree, especially since the HLNA mentioned that the simulation is preparing survivors for "The Arrival", which probably is the arrival of the colony ship at a new planet, so it does make sense that the simulation prepares us for all sorts of environments
  9. Maybe we're gonna see a new type of dino variant, "mutated dinos", similar to the corrupted dinos on extinction but instead of having the black rash, they would rather be affected by the same fleshiness that grows on the logo from the teaser, which would be a lot more in line with rockwell
  10. I'm still convinced that it's in fact, the colony ship, for multiple reasons: First off, why would it be light ? The "ascension light" you mentioned, shot out from an landed ark to clean up the weakened element. We're not anywhere near an ark and if the homeworld theory is right, there's element on that planet and it's probably not weak either . So it probably isn't that kind of light or anything similar. Seccondly, the land fading into the beam of light can be assumed to be a purely artistic thing, as more distant objects have less detail. Not to mention that if you look closely, what you called the flat bit, is still arching. Last but not least, even before the teaser, we already knew that the colony ship probably has this ring shape, since the thing in the sky from the genesis ocean biome apparently is a look a like. Now, since our survivor, who wakes up on the actual colony ship, is also in the picture, i would assume that the ring like thing in the picture, is in fact the colony ship. I'm not saying that the ship can't be crashing, but i find it a bit odd to assume, that the ship is doing the stuff you mentioned because of a potential crash when a rockwell tentacle appears almost immediatly after the alarms go off.
  11. I really wouldn't think too much about the colours because the poster is a reference to an old, iconic anime movie called akira, so they just made it red for that reason. I attached an image so you can see for yourself. Yeah i also noticed that. It even appears that these clusters of dots are connected. If you zoom in, you can see some straight lines going from cluster to cluster
  12. Let's seperate the aspects of the image and go through them one by one. The first point is this thing in the middle. At first glance, one might assume that it's a vehicle, but if we look closer we can see that it actually appears to be a creature wearing a tek saddle. I have seen people that already call it "space shark" so lets go with that for now. The space shark is probably a creature like the astrocetus, except it's based off a different maritime animal. Since most of it's body is covered up by the saddle, we can't see much beside some fins and it's underbelly and it's still up to speculation what this creature exactly is. Now, as for the saddle, unlike most of the other tek saddles, it doesn't seem to have any kind of weaponry. Instead it features thrusters at the back, so we can assume that the space shark is gonna be somewhat fast with its saddle. What's also interesting is the fact that the saddle has an actual cockpit. While some tek saddles feature something resembling one ( Desert Titan and Astrocetus for example ), this is the first time we get something that actually could function as one. To me it looks like this would close when the player gets into it, which would be really cool IMO. Let's get to the rest of the image, starting with the player and his environment. We can clearly see him running towards the space shark on some kind of tek catwalk, while there are tentacles creeping up behind him. The tentacles probably belong to either rockwell himself or something corrupted by him. There's not much to explain here, maybe the fact that the player is wearing the federation tek suit is interesting ( it doesn't have thrusters like the normal one) , but we already knew that from the genesis ending cutscene. As for the background, we can see three things there: The first is some kind of halo-esque structure beneath the player that we can also see arching upwards behind the space shark. If we zoom in on it, there appears to be a landscape on it, but also what i can describe best as some sort of metal structures, like the ones on extinction, although these seem to have a different form. My theory is that this is the colony ship mentioned by the HLNA in the genesis ending cutscene. I explained in an earlier post that the giant ring in the ocean biomes sky is basically what the ship looks like and i feel like this promo poster confirms that to a certain degree. As for why or where the colony ship brought us, that is still unclear. The second and third thing that we can see are space and a planet . So we know that the colony ship still is in space, but near a planet, so we could assume that we might get to travel from the colony ship to the planet, through the actual space inbetween. Now for the planet itself. I think it's an alien planet. This doesn't look like the earth, because even in it's corrupted state it still appeared pretty brownish. The planets general appearance is somewhat purple in general and in addition to that, we can also see purple and red lights on its dark side. My theory is, that we arrived at another planet overrun by element, or actually the elements source itself. I would say that the colony ship ended up here because of rockwell and his obsession with element. Since he hijacked parts of the simulation i can also imagine him being able to control parts of the ship and thus changing it's original destination.
  13. He kind of has an Army already ? On Aberration he's able to control the reapers and nameless, due to their strong ties to the element. Idk if that counts, since they aren't exactly corrupted but still. But the specific case you mentioned maybe already happened, namely inside the genesis simulation. The corrupt master controller has the corrupted Avatars and dinos to his disposal, which fits the bill of a corrupt army. The only thing we don't know if he is just a digital copy of rockwell or the actual rockwell being connected to the simulation.
  14. I guess i misunderstood what was meant by "made" then. Yeah, it would be pretty interesting to see another corrupted person that isn't completely part of the elements hive mind
  15. Rockwell wasn't made by the element though. He went mad over it, injected it into his body and became what we fight on aberration. The titans on the other hand were made by the element, they were kind of born out of it and are connected to it, so i guess that answers the original question ?
  16. To be honest ? No. Atleast not in terms of lore, like sure there is some interesting abandoned stuff in there that was never executed/brought to the live game, like mechanical tek gates, unused weather and stuff, but not really anything that would help us with the theories. You can find some stuff in the modding community though... The ragnarok devs are still mappers, even after being hired by wildcard. They have a pretty interesting ( unreleased ) private project called apex and they sometimes stream working on the map ( it's just a mod map, just to be clear ) . And one of them kinda likes to hype stuff and while he knows he can't give us details about his work at wildcard he says stuff like " if you hated genesis 1, don't worry, we took the feedback and changed things up" or " genesis 2 is my favorite expansion to work on so far" And the one thing that's interesting for lore discussion would be that someone asked what that ring in the ocean biomes sky is and one of them answered that it's the colony ship ? Because of genesis being a simulation i would assume that it was meant as in "it's a projection of how it looks like in the world outside" but still quite interesting, isn't it ?
  17. Haven't been in this thread with theories in a while but i just wanna say, the inspect tool from the creative mode shows you what the file of the object is called. That's kinda it, like it's the stuff wildcard decided to name the thing for organization or whatever other reason. As someone who started to do maps and work with the devkit i can say that artists can be really messy and sometimes not everyone is one the same page .... so what i'm trying to say is, that while it may give some basic insight into some stuff, it would be best to not take it too literally or with a grain of salt, ya know ? Naming and meanings can change through developement so i'm not sure if it's that good of an idea to try and get lore from something technical like this ...
  18. i've found more around half the glitches ingame and have read up the rest on the wiki and tbh there isn't a lot of new relevant lore, most of the story from the glitches can be summed up with: - the (original) purpose of the simulation was to train survivors skills for an event called "the arrival" - there's an intruder in the genesis simulation, altering it - said intruder deleted the master A.I.s (the bosses) for each biome besides the ocean, so the intruder is the only one monitoring what your doing - the simulation is also getting harder, survivors die more frequently and some are not respawning like they should - the not respawning survivors are being turned into the corrupted avatars, as which they are under the control of the intruder - at the end of the story glitches, the intruder has control over most of the simulation i mean the intruder is obviously rockwell, but nothing in all of the glitches tells us how he got in there and if it's actually him, just a fragment of him, a digital copy or something else that presents rockwell in the simulation. As for all the other glitches .... They are mostly Survivors doing dumb stuff in the simulation and causing glitches, HLN-A starting to glitch herself or background info on the ark universe that we already knew or that isn't really relevant. Tbh the ending gives us a lot more implications for the lore than the glitches but i'll post my theory regarding the ending some other time ( also i'm kinda unsure about spoilers in this thread, can we like go ahead and discuss the most spoiler-y stuff, now that there's another, explicitly spoilerfree thread for theories ?)
  19. ok, first spoiler for the ending that i'm putting in the thread:
  20. Can't speak for others, but for the moment i found it to be for the best to not discuss the ending in here until more people watched it and until then i can assure you that i won't spoil anything about the ending ( although i really got a big chunk of theory regarding it, but that will have to wait for later) Overall cold, but there were some hot parts
  21. you could message me, i can try to answer them as well as i can from what i know so far ?
  22. How/where can i use the spoilers section ?
  23. Oh don't worry, I'm not gonna say anything about the ending until anyone wants to talk about it, was just figuring that some people might wanna know that there is a clip of it. I even choose a video with a thumbnail that doesn't show anything
  24. So after some hours of trying to do missions as fast as possible to see the final boss and not really getting much forward, i got impatient and looked for a clip of it online (heavy spoilers ahead, obviously) This takes things into a .... interesting direction
  25. buckle up on your hover-skiffs and lets find a cliff to get some shelter under ?
