  1. Please update the base-gameplay more and TLC the Legacy Dinos. This game remaster was not released with the level of updates & upgrades promised initially. What was changed is appreciated but it feels like a major half step.
  2. Why has it usually been the most trash creature voted the winner…? make it make sense.
  3. if anyone knows why my jpeg had to be shrank down so much for the file size to fit, or how to fix it to re-upload at full size, would love to know.
  4. -SUMMARY: Common Name (In-Game): Cave Frog Inspiration: Electrorana "Amber Frog" found in Amber from Myanmar. Aberrant Species Name: Electrorana ton asterión (Amber Frog of the stars) Time: Mid-Cretaceous Diet: Carnivorous Temperament: Languorous Map Relation: Native to Bioluminescent Biome Main Diet: Glowbugs, Shine Pets, Lamprey & Nameless Natural Predators and Only Counters Completely Immune to their Torpor Damage: Reapers, Rock Drakes, Basilisks, Karkinos Colors: Black, Grays, Purples. Blues, Browns, Oranges, Golds -WILD: Passive unless attacked. They rarely can be seen clinging to the branches and ceilings of the bioluminescent biome. Cave Frogs are usually spotted occasionally when they hop and glide across caverns to snatch a Glowbug that flies up too high. They also descend onto the Nameless when they rise out of the ground. Even more rare are seeing groups glide down to the water pools under the glowing trees. Where after they give a brief light show, the female will drop eggs into the water before they all retreat back up together. The eggs then hatching into wild Tadpoles, that when mature, will make their way up to join the rest of the other adults. The only things that attack fully grown Cave Frogs, are Reapers, Rock Drakes & Basilisks. While Karkinos will eat Tadpoles they come across, as well as try to grab a Cave Frog when they get the rare opportunity to. These four creatures are the only things immune to the Cave Frog’s defensive and offensive Torpor Damage, and are their true counters. When attacked by one of their 4 natural predators, the Cave Frog will use their Shine Burst to stun them and try to retreat back to a safe elevation. However anything smaller that is foolish enough to attack one will quickly turn the Cave Frog aggressive. Making it lash out while most certainly trying to eat the smaller threat. -DOMESTICATED: The true champions of this 3D Environment. Cave Frogs can cling to any surface, jump great distances, as well as move at deceptively fast speeds on land and in water. Being able to also glide slightly with their large toe pads. This allows them to direct their decent when falling. This mobility makes them unquestionably the best way to get around the Aberrant Caverns of this ARK. As well as being able to fire weapons from their saddles, and a constant supply of Bio-Toxin produced in their inventory, They are invaluable partners when Taming. Being able to turn aspects of their diets into defensive, or offensive capabilities doesn’t hurt their utility much either. From gaining effects from Rockwell recipes to being able to fire a cannonball from their mouths. Cave Frogs can be the Swiss Army Knife of Amphibious, or in some cases, Aerial Assault. Tamed Passively with: Set-up Charge Lamp (or Glow Pet) Preferred Food: Leech Blood Cave Frogs are tamed passively through a little trickery. You set up a charge lamp within range of the where the Cave Frog is hanging around and back away. The Cave Frog will become curious and dive down to it to investigate if it is food. At this point you can sneak up beside it and offer it Leech Blood Passively. A New Model for a Charge Lamp laying on its side on the ground would be needed, but an animation of the Cave Frog trying to swallow, and then spitting out the Charge Lamp would be great if it is not fed quickly enough. Then it would make a confused look before climbing back up to where it came from. If fed quickly enough it will just hang around and let you continue feeding it. But if it is left hungry for more than 5-10 seconds, it will become uninterested and climb back up to where it came from. A Charge-Light Pet on wander can also be used instead of the Charge Lamp to lure the Cave Frog down. However if the Cave Frog is not fed Leech Blood quickly enough. It will eat the Charge-Light Pet. Although cruel, this can benefit you. Giving a huge boost to the initial taming process similar to a Sanguine Elixir. As long as Leech Blood is offered within 5-10 seconds of the Cave Frog becoming hungry afterwards it should stick around and continue the taming process as usual. Weakness: Entering Deserts & Very Hot Volcanic Temperatures dries out the Cave Frog’s skin and begins to drain its health. This is cancelled out while submerging in water or going into an underground area. Entering Freezing Temperatures makes Cave Frogs move progressively slower until Lethargic and unmoving. Needing to be left or put into a cryopod to continue. Although harsh penalties, these obstacles can be worked around with certain consumables. -BASIC ABILITIES: (Super-Mobile Taming-Unit/Cave Explorer) -Tamable, Breedable, Mountable -Can Fire Weapons While Mounted on their Saddle -Matures from a Tadpole -Much Larger than Beelzebufo -Good Carry Weight -No Fall Damage -Very Quick Hop/Movement Speed -Can Jump Ridiculously Far, along with Aimed-Jump Option -Seamlessly Sticks to any Surface it Lands On -Can Stick and Climb on Any Surface -Slight Descending-Glide using Toe-Pads -Same Turning Mobility as the Beelzebufo, even when Climbing -Creates Cementing Paste from Insects like the Beelzebufo -Acquires Charge-Light Reserves from Eating Glowbugs, Lampreys & Shine Pets -Can Emit Charge Light like a Shine Pet while Reserves Last -Can Emit a Shine Burst that Temporarily Stuns Attackers but depletes All Reserves -Colorful Pulsing that indicates when invisible Rock Drakes or a Buried Reapers are Nearby -Produces Bio-Toxin (like Jellyfish’s) but Passively in their Inventory -Can Inflict Major Torpor Damage from Tongue Attack -Can Inflict Minor Torpor Damage every time it is Attacked due to its Poisonous Skin -Will Repel Non-Immune, Aberrant Creatures a Small Distance, Protecting Tames-in-Progress -Will Emit a Warning Charge Burst when attacked that will Stun the Predator Shortly -Can be set to Warn of an Earthquake with a Croaking Noise beforehand -ATTACKS: -Tongue attacks: Regular-Tongue attack & Snatch/Swallow-Tongue attack - Can snatch and swallow survivors with tongue right off of mounts and flyers +Can spit-ball swallowed survivors like Cannonballs or just be dropped on the ground +Survivors die inside Cave Frog’s mouth when oxygen runs out - -Regular Spitwad Projectile Attack +adding Rocks & Grenades to spitwads Regular spitwads do minor damage but stagger medium to smaller targets +adding Rocks do increased damage and stagger while Grenades explode on impact - -Intimidation Croak Large booming croak (with light display when charged) that repels medium to smaller threats - Slippery skin makes it immune to Rhyniognatha resin effects -CONSUMABLE ABILITIES: Kirby-like Powers: (+swallow animation) Light Pets: can use Charge Light until reserves run dry - Nameless: Temporarily Produces Toxins on skin that cause Torpor Damage when hit Rock Drake Egg = Temporarily can use the Rock-Drake Cloaking Ability Wyvern Egg = Temporarily has Elemental Breath invulnerability matching the Egg eaten - Ferox = Temporary Frenzy with Attack & Speed buff - Spiders & Scorpions = Temporary Torpor Damage inflicting Tongue attacks & spitwads Lystrosaurus = Temporary EXP Buff for surrounding tames Oviraptor = Temporary Egg Laying Buff for surrounding tames Jellyfish = non-stackable Temporary x3 increase in passive Bio-Toxin Generation - Fish = Replenishes some of the Cave Frog’s Oxygen while Underwater - Swallowed from Inventory: Nameless Venom: Temporarily Produces Toxins on skin that causes Torpor Damage when hit Narcotic = Can stack for multiple Torpor Damage inflicting Tongue attacks or spitwads Stimulant = Temporary minor Speed Boost Rare Flower = non-stackable Croak that Attracts Herbivores Rare Mushroom = non-stackable Croak that Attracts Carnivores Bug Repellent = non-stackable Croak that Attracts Insects (For Cementing Paste) Sap = Consuming adds up to stack of 5 Sticky-immobilizing spitwad Oil = Consuming adds up to stack of 5 Sticky-flammable spitwad Propellant = Consuming adds up to stack of 5 Flaming-spitball Attack Wyvern milk = Temporary x2 Imprint buff to all surrounding babies Element = non-stackable Croak that emits a TEK EMP-Blast Cannonball = Consuming adds non-stackable Cannon Shot, or Anti-Aircraft Shot to drop flyers Chainbola = Consuming adds non-stackable Chain-Bola-Capture-Shot Medical Brew = Temporarily Heals Cave Frog over time Mindwipe = Can Respec Cave Frog’s Stats Shadowsteak = Cloaking Ability with Hot/Cold Temperature Protection and Weight Buff Tartar = Attack, Defense & Speed Buff Broth = EXP Buff for surrounding tames, survivors, and the Cave Frog Calien Soup = Temporarily Protects Cave Frog from health drain in Deserts & Volcanos Enduro Stew = Stamina & Weight Buff Focal Chili = Temporary Homing spitwads (even +Rocks & Grenades) Fria Curry = Temporarily Prevents from Slowing down and freezing in the Cold Lazarus Chowder = Temporarily provide Infinite Oxygen for Frog/Rider +Frog Swim Speed Buff Cactus Broth = Temporarily Cancels out health drain in Deserts Mushroom Brew = Temporary Radiation Immunity (for much longer than survivors) Soap = Croak that makes Bubbles that float around. I just felt like you couldn’t beat a Giant Tree Frog for Aberration. I don’t think this creature will fit with any other map so anyone who votes and helps get this Frog to the top 10, I truly appreciate you. This is my dream creature for Aberration and I hope the community likes it too. Thank you for your time.
  5. If anyone knows why I had to shrink my jpeg down so much for its file size to fit, I would love to know how to fix it and make it full size if possible. This is about 25% its actual size when I made it. I had to shrink it down majorly for it to fit.
  6. -SUMMARY: Common Name: Cave Frog Inspiration: Blue Milk Frog with convergent evolutionary aspects of Poison Dart Frogs & Gliding Leaf Frogs. 7. Does anybody know why my dossier has to be shrunken down so much for the file size to fit the upload in the creature submission? How do I upload a large enough pic to where you can actually read it in the post?
  8. Can you stop teasing the game that’s over a year out and please give us more information on the game that is supposed to be coming out in “a couple months”? Thank you.
  9. Definitely don’t hate the idea of another big sauropod. Especially since Dreadnoughtus would fit Ragnarok as being one of the biggest maps.
  10. Not what I pictured for a “Ragnarok” creature but I can’t say I don’t love the idea. Major “Avatar: Way of the Water” vibes.
  11. I don’t know why but I thought the Rhyniognatha was meant for the Center Map? I really feel it fits the size and verticality of that Map much better. Plus it almost feels too big for the Island Map lol. If anything my suggestion is to add it to the Center Map as well. The aquatic, paired with the aerial mobility of the Rhynio makes it a perfect fit for the water filled map full of floating islands. It would almost be a missed opportunity for the Center Map as well as the Rhynio to not be added to it. I know you can’t pull it back and make it exclusive to the Center after already releasing it, but I would really consider adding it to the Center also. Would breath some new life into that classic map while also giving the perfect playground for the Rhynio’s abilities. It would truly fit the feel of the Center and also make it relevant again. Really hope you at least consider adding it to the map. Thank you for your time.
  12. Can you make the mortar and pestle change from berries when we put, say, stone and chitin in for cementing paste? Idk why but I think it always showing berries would bug me lol
  13. Dang it, Raasclark quit streaming Zelda for this??? LoL The old assets do look a lot better though.
  14. Really like these ideas. A bleed ability for Compies when they have a maximum pack member buff would be really interesting. being faster and harder to hit could be really hard to deal with for early game survivors though… Maybe that could be an ability that they gain once tamed? Compy would be a great addition to TLC.
  15. I would like to add the Giant Ant to this list too actually… giving it Anthills that they spawn from, and a Queen Ant inside that could just be a bigger, meaner version of the Ant. or it could be a new tame that is placed as an Anthill like the Giant Bee Hive, but the Giant Worker Ants could collect random resources you can harvest from the Anthill. They could store Spoiled Meat, Seeds, Rare Mushrooms/Flowers, Resources like Stone and Fiber, as well as a New Unique Fungus Resource growing inside that can Heal Herbivores. I just thought it was a good opportunity to make them more than just a Chihuahua-sized nuisance.
  16. A thought I wanted to add was more reward for exploration. Hidden, destroyable storage crates with random ammo in them like bullets and arrows, or barrels with harder to get resources like ingots, oil, cementing paste, lightly scattered behind waterfalls or off-shoots of caves. Like little storage caches left by past survivors that didn’t make it, etc. Along with more hidden, beautiful natural areas off the beaten path, that have to be stumbled upon more accidentally, that could make great base locations. Even if the caches are only a one-time find or the hidden area could only fit a small shack, it would at least make exploring more rewarding.
  17. Another thought I would like to add after seeing a lot of Grounded’s gameplay is to incorporate schedules for a lot of the creatures like the insects in Grounded have. Places they go to sleep at night, places they go to get food for the day, etc. I know they probably just thought their game through better with that in mind ahead of time but I think that is just more immersive and just all around superior game design for survival games like these. Would really try to incorporate some of that if you are capable of making it work right with that many creatures.
  18. Does anyone understand how the votes were divided from the eliminated choices?
  19. I like that you are re-envisioning A:SA, and that concept for the new loot crate is fine, but I’d put that attention into things that really need to be revamped. Like the legacy Dinos and map details. For example, new rewarding places to explore within the maps. Don’t get me wrong I love that you are giving everything a new polish but I’d put my attention into the things that will optimize the gameplay and not just make things look cooler. The loot drops we’re fine in my opinion so I’d focus on things that make a little bit more of a splash. Really don’t want to sound negative I’m just trying to give you some constructive criticism.
  20. Hear me out. One of the MOST requested features is a Primarily Water Map. ARK has never been known for having very interesting gameplay around the water, but Atlas was built on it. This gave me the idea to just build an ARK DLC map with Atlas Gameplay in mind. Boats, Islands, Ocean. Adding the Atlas Boat Building Mechanic for One ARK DLC Map would really make that particular DLC stand out and have a specific unique game-mechanic reason for playing it. It could also be used as cross-promotion to inform some players about Atlas they may not know about the game. While still keeping it definitively ARK though, and not an Atlas Commercial. Having us on a map that is pretty much ALL Ocean besides the Northern and the Southern Regions of the map. Making our Boats we build, double as our Primary Bases also. Hopefully having big enough Ships eventually to have a Cargo hold that can carry decent sized mounts, say 4 Shadowmane sized as an example, but most mounts on the map would be Aquatic Creatures that would follow, and school around our Ship. In-game assets for the DLC that can make that more efficient would be recommended. Maybe an Engine to power the ship that can double as a Generator to power Cryo-Fridges on board. The Northern Islands with the Blue Obelisk to the direct center North, would be in a Harsh Arctic Ocean. With Frozen Islands surrounded by Icebergs. The Southern Islands, having the Green and Red Obelisks, would be more inviting. A Tropical Ocean dotted with Lush Islands. The Red Obelisk sitting on an ominous Volcanic Island that stands out in the tranquil southern sea. The Red Island sitting in its South-Western side. The Green Obelisk Island in a lush Jungle-Swamp in the South-Eastern side of the map. The Ocean would be DEEP and diverse. A Coral Reef in the Southern Sea, mirrored by an Icy Ecosystem in the Northern Sea, along with a GIANT trench at the bottom that cuts through the center of the map, dividing its Northern & Southern Seas like an Abyssal Equator. Any and Every Aquatic or Semi-Aquatic Creature should be found on this map, along with providing some ideas for the 4-5 more that could be added with a DLC like this: (Basic Descriptions, All could have more Abilities/Details) -Xiphactinus. The coastal terrorizer. Roaming in schools of 3 with a pack bonus and an Alpha. Very fast and patrol the shorelines of the Southern Islands. -Archelon Sea-turtle. The massive Sea-turtle that Megachelon could have been created from. Being a very fast swimmer that can breach the water when it gets charged up to top speed (like an aquatic rhino or direbear), increased bio-toxin gather rate from Jellyfish, and can’t be stunned by Jellies or Eels. -Kumimanu the Giant Penguin. Patrolling off the coasts of the Northern Islands, Kumimanu is the fastest on the map. Even up against the Archelon’s full charge. Plus the Kumimanu has no restrictions to reaching its top speed. -Livyatan Whale. The massive predator of the Northern Sea, rivaling the Mosa of the Southern Sea. Huge Jaws and a Powerful Ram-Attack makes Boats steer clear of it unless fully upgraded. It also dives into the Abyssal Equator/Trench to hunt Tusoteuthis. Bonus Shoulder Pet: -Paradise Parrot. A beautiful extinct parrot from Australia. HLN-A would of brought it back herself if she could. Every Pirate needs a Parrot just like every ARK map needs a shoulder pet. Would be worth adding 5 tames instead of 4, and could fit right alongside the map as well as the Dodo as being a bird we lost during our existence, and probably by our hands. Could be found all over the Southern Islands and could predict Sea Storms like the Jerboa on Scorched. Could also explore the idea of Island Dwarfism/Gigantism with some older more familiar ARK creatures. Making Island variants of a few for flavor in the DLC. Like a reskin and size change. Adding say 3-4 creatures like this on top of the new creatures would set this DLC apart even more. Lastly. Baleen Whales, like the Astrocetus, except the truly Aquatic Versions they were created from, along with the Aquatic Versions of Astrodelphis, would be great additions to this map as well if their was time to squeeze them in. They could be the Brontos of this map, and would be hunted by Mosasaurs and Livyatan, along with the Tusoteuthis, Leeds, etc. Lastly, Lastly. We also could finally get the Aquatic Boss we have always wanted. Moder is fun, but this is an opportunity to top that battle. A Kraken or Actual “Leviathan” would be a safe bet. If it released from the bottom of the Abyssal Trench and we fought it in the open-sea of the map from our ships, or in the sea with our tames after tracking it down, that could make for a really interesting battle. Like an Aquatic Titan from Extinction battle. And most likely, transferring to a boss area would be difficult anyway with having to get aquatic tames under an obelisk. Unless the Obelisks were designed with that in mind. Story reasons could be that it is the ARK-reseed that is supposed to fix the ocean on earth and it didn’t react to the reseed protocol because an earth ocean needed time to reform, or clear up from corruption, or whatever. So we have to go up there and trigger it manually to get it to come down and do it’s thing repopulating the oceans of earth. I know it has to be an ARK satellite to exist how it is designed so that reasoning and story might work. Use corruption in the ocean as a metaphor for plastic pollution in our actual oceans or something. Give it some depth. Pun intended. Plus the map could have no connection to Rockwell or the rest of the story if you want, or you could tie threads together connecting them. Your choice. If you wanted to. You could tie it into Arat Prime somehow and there’s a fun DLC experience the whole ARK community adores and it’s just a big win, win for everyone. I feel it would help bring Atlas a little more into the forefront. Give ARK: Survival Ascended and its fans the option for a Water Map, Plus give the new ARK a unique flavor of its own that the old one never had. And with it being a lot of Atlas Assets it shouldn't be as difficult to put together and have a decent turn around on it. If the plan is really like the community predicts, where Arat Prime could be a new DLC map. It could sit at the edge of that ocean this Water-ARK is reseeding into. We could go to Arat Prime for the 1st DLC, connect to the Water-ARK from some terminal and transfer to it from Arat Prime for the 2nd, and then the 3rd DLC could be fixing the Moon or replacing it artificially somehow with an entirely Lunar DLC Map. Which would be amazing. Fixing Earth's rotation and with it maybe the Planet itself. As a Back Up Plan if the Genesis Mission fails and Humans have to return to Earth for some reason. Then the final cut scene after the earth starts spinning again is us uploading ourselves to the Genesis Ship to try to make sure everything goes right with its mission, and then HLN-A finds us and puts us in the simulation of Genesis One to give our body time to be created in the pod on the ship. Completing the simulation triggers our consciousness to be uploaded into our bodies on the Genesis Ship, and then Genesis Two starts. bridging everything together seamlessly with its own Trilogy you can also bundle together with a season pass. Well that’s my pitch. I hope you consider it because without a doubt it would probably be one of the most well received DLC maps out of all of them if executed correctly, and the right amount of love and attention went into it. Could be used to update underwater assets and add to that aspect of the game throughout other past/future maps and DLCs also. Thank you all for your time and I really hope to get this announcement one day lol. P.S. Name Ideas: "Fathoms" DLC. "Voyager" DLC. "Nautilus" DLC. As always any survivor's ideas are welcome in the comments. I'd like it if you Voted on which of these 3 Names you like most for this DLC in the comments also.
