  1. Hmm interesting. Thanks for the education. So that base you found was huge, so that is why you didn't want to mess with it. Guessing it is a big tribe that owns it and they would reek havoc upon you in retaliation? I bet that would be frustrating to have huge tribes with hidden bases like that. I started playing The Center shortly before the "Ascension" patch. Thus I haven't been back since, as a single player, trying to do everything to Ascend doesn't even seem fun. So I won't attempt it, at least not any time soon. But I was already getting bothered with the map, as I was constantly clipping into rocks, ground, etc. I was really disappointed that it didn't seem "finished" Rarely seem to have that issue on the Island or Scorched.
  2. I don't play PvP, so your entire post made absolutely no sense to me. It is like reading a different language. For the uneducated noob like me, can you explain what "undermesh" means, and what the significance of "had a 45-60x60x30" means? Thanks,
  3. So last night I began the long process of cleaning up my maps after spending the last couple months breeding. On the center Map, I killed 328 of my Thylas, leaving only 14 remaining. (12 color mutated, and a pair with great stats.) I know they are just video game images, but it was kind of sad to see them go away. Including my first ever wild tamed Thylas and my first born Thyla. Tonight I will be doing the same thing on S.E. to over 200 Argies. I had a harder time singling out who to keep, so I kept nearly 70 of them because of the various color mutations. Apparently ARK has turned me into an animal horder! I also spent about 3 hours last night grinding out the supplies to craft a ton of Adobe pieces to build a brand new huge dino barn as well as Crafting building. I just need to find the best location of flat land to do it, as I suck at building with pillars.
  4. I had a similar experience about a month ago, taming a Mosa. Had a Mosa about 75% tamed. Then my Plesi got agro'd by some eels. He kills them, but somehow attracted an alpha Mosa. I finally called him away from the Alpha, and we have to do a little running around to lose it's agro. When I returned back to the Mosa, I saw it wake up, so I shot a couple tranq darts at it . yep, killed it. SMH
  5. Women drivers huh!? just kidding! don't kill me please!
  6. more of the same for me. breeding Argies and hatching eggs hoping for color mutations. I FINALLY got some a Red Winged one! I now have red feet, red wing Tips, and red face to go along with the red wings. Now I just need red head/neck and red forehead, and I can hopefully create my over-sized "Cardinal". Almost there in creating an all yellow "Canary"; all blue "Bluebird" and an all black "Crow" as well. Still no Hot Pink or Neon Green mutations yet. (Can get them in Thylas, but not Argies.) Starting to get frustrating, as I have hatched over 1000 eggs so far. I've been trying to decided which OB I want to move my base to, Just having a hard time finding a good flat building site. So last night in between hatchings, I flew "Shocker" my new lightening Wyvern around the map searching for a spot, and did meat runs for my Argy population. Also flew over to my original base near the mountains, and did a a metal run of about 4600 metal. Finally made a Industrial Forge, but am trying to decide where to place it. Not enough room in my mountain base, unless I do some major re-arranging. Since I'm on console, without S+, this can be a real hassle.
  7. I'm sure you already know this, but if you have a male near the females it really helps. Then throw in an Oviraptor for good measure
  8. Totally jealous! None of my friends play ARK (or online games at all) so I tend to stick with S.P., as playing on a server is not too much fun by myself. What fun it would be to play with siblings and family members.
  9. So about 10 days ago, I had a starter base on SE. Not too bad, but nothing fancy. In one of the out-buildings, I placed 3 Jerboas and let them breed. I got a red baby right away, and decided to keep breeding for mutations. At the same time I was breeding Argies. But I was running out of room for the Argies, so I took my flock of 20+ and flew them over towards the Oil vein area of the map. I ground out a couple of breeding pens and another adobe base. Well, I completely forgot about my starter base, as I did nothing over the last 8-9 days, but breed, breed, breed my argies for color mutations. (Got some nice ones too) Finally last night, I decided to fly over to my "old" base. Well as I get close, the game just LAGS so bad, I mean unplayable. Finally after taking like 15 minutes to fly the last distance to the base. I notice dozens, if not hundreds of Jerboas all over my base! OMG, somehow the Jerboas survived even without me feeding the babies! I did leave a full feed bin of berries, but I didn't think the babies would survive without me feeding them. (I'm play S.P., and have tweaked the breeding/maturation rates) I saw a Pikachu Jerboa! Bright yellow with red highlights. But because of the lag, I could not get to it. Finally, I looked on the website for Console commands, and learned to do a "DestroyAll Jerboas_character_bp_c" command. Voila! no more lag .... but also no more Pikachu So tonight, I plan on taming up some more Jerboas, and trying again, but this time, I will not leave them unattended to nearly a week! Edit: I STILL need to get some Wyvern milk, so I can hatch my Lightning egg. But I'd rather breed for mutations, than killed get over and over when trying to get milk.
  10. So earlier in the week I got my first ever Wyvern (136 Fire) to maturity. After spending the next couple of days leveling her up, last night I decided to try to get a Lightning Wyvern egg. Well apparently my experience with getting the Fire egg was a fluke, as I proceeded to die 4 times trying to get the Lightning egg. When I finally found an egg, I would get killed and couldn't recover my body without dying again. (I also lost 3 Tapejaras. but they were bred for the main purpose of Egg stealing so, I wasn't too broken up about them) Finally last night found a 56 Lightning egg, as I was flying away, I saw another nest, with a 124 Lightning egg, so I grabbed that too! Made it back to my base near the scar and ran inside to put the egg in the Preserving bin. I then spent the next 2 hours trying to trap and milk a Wyvern. Apparently the 144 Lightning and 124 Fire Females I kited did NOT like my efforts, and killed my Jerboa Fuzzbutt, 2 of my Argys ("DragonBait" & "DragonFood"), and my first tamed Tapejara. (R.I.P. "Tapdancer") . PLUS they avoided my trap like the plague, consistently flying around and over it, instead of following me into it. So I finally gave up and went to my other base and bred up about 12 Argy eggs and 8 Vulture Eggs. Tonight and this weekend, I will hatch those (hoping for color mutations) and maybe I will try again for Wyvern Milk too. Will probably also search for some high level male Vultures. I can find anything over the 92 I currently have, while I have multiple females over 100 pre-tame. OH YEAH! I'm guessing I will be frogging around with the PS4 patch that downloaded the morning. Hope my game still works!
