  1. Sadly, I'd have to agree with Joe. Snail Games is in a bad position to draw in new investment. Their only hope of that is if ASA does well. The hostile takeover would occur when they have enough shares on the market for one player to snap up enough to wrest control of the board away from the current president of the board. The only way that would happen is if they sold off enough shares to drum up money to buy more companies to make it look like they have more consistent revenue streams , thereby exposing their shares to potential buyers who want to take over the company.
  2. In my limited experience in software companies, this isn't a good sign. This is a place where the board is made up of pretty much just one person. It will operate on whims, and there's very little check and balance going on because there's nobody on the board to disagree with president of the board who gets more than 1 vote for themselves to cast. This type of company will buy other companies to look good on a balance sheet showing revenues. Even if they are hemorrhaging money, they can lure in other investors by this sort of tactic.

  4. I would say the users of this forum isn't representative of the entire spectrum of opinions. People who don't like it very much to not at all most likely wouldn't ever bother to register to talk here. Then there's a huge population of people who wouldn't even bother to look for a website like this. Then there's the people addicted to asking reddit things google can answer better. This forum has some good debate/thinkers, and we get more nuance out of conversions many times.
  5. I'm sure they care, but they are a public facing company who can't be airing their dirty laundry in public unless it is in the shareholders best interest. Which it isn't in their best interest to talk about it or how they will deal with it going forwards. I wouldn't mind some cryptic message that gave us some sense of assurance that its an aspect they are planning on rectifying in the future, but I'm not holding my breath for one. They are stuck with snail games whether they like it or not. Its just business.
  6. I just wish they would fix the darn procoptodon still. As it stands, its the only dino we know of that helps with raising babies that will be there at launch, and it still drops babies under the floor if you leave render. Instead of fixing it they just added maewings , which isn't going to help anyone in ASA...

  8. if its happening very often and you've done all those steps. Have you checked your router , modem, and any cabling that you might be using? Have you tried streaming a film at the same time to see if it hiccups at that same moment or just after that moment?
  9. One thing that confuses some people is the whole gamma/beta/alpha and the bonus applied. If you do gamma version of one of these ascension bosses and beat it, you get +5. If you then do beta and beat it, you get +5 more. If you then go and beat the boss on alpha, you get +5 more for a grand total of +15. If you just go and do alpha first try and beat it, you get +15. If that was unclear, I hope that helps.
  10. We just leave a pile of the deinos on mate and leave them alone. The eggs will pile up fast.
  11. The areas circled in red are the areas I like to check. If you check and clear all the fish in these areas, never see a spino after 2 or 3 rounds. I would do a dino wipe and see if that fixes it. I can't imagine you having this problem on official servers without lots of people complaining. It sounds more like you are on single player. This happens on single player.
  12. THey share spawn points with fish and have a 5% chance of spawning in place of a fish. Its just the law of numbers. Erase all the fish, and increase your chances of getting that 5%. On public servers where everyone starts building on the beaches and waterways, this gets to be problematic. A spino moves faster running in shallow water , add imprint bonus speed and you have a bullet train that can obliterate all the fish in an area in no time. You just figure out the areas where you see spinos along a river path. If we are talking on The Island, there's about 3 areas I see them all the time. The rivers SW of green obelisk, The river North side of redwoods. Then there's a river north west of the volcano that they like to spawn at. They can be in other areas, but on officials these tend to be the best locations.
  13. It depends on the map sometimes. Generally, you clear all the fish in the rivers and leave and come back. Gigas work well for this, but spinos actually do a better job of it. SPinos are faster at getting back once one spawns.
  14. If you are playing on steam/epic, you can export your dino information. This can be read by ArkSmartBreeding. That program can then export a command that will rebuild that same exact animal on your own hosted server or single player game. You can then use a command to switch an imprint from the original character, to your character on the private game.
  15. They have to take at least that long so that they can encourage the fanbase to just suck it up and move on to the next product.
  16. Nope, 105 is the basic level limit with nothing added. 105 base + 5 chibi + 10 runes + 10 explorer notes + 15 Overseer + 15 Manticore + 15 Rockwell + 15 Master controller + 15 Rockwell Prime for a grand total of 205 levels.
  17. On aberration I used to have to leave ravagers *and x-plants all over my base inside and on the roof because wilds would just spawn inside and nibble on my spinos on some floor I hadn't visited in a day or 2. Real fun to see those death messages while you are deep in the radiation zone.
  18. I haven't been breeding the way I did back when I was working ab ankys and ab spinos. But back then, I saw mixed twins from drake eggs, and my spinos and ankys. I never saw any changes made to this in the notes. The only thing I noticed was never seeing this happen again once we started using the incubators. I haven't bred enough since to say one way or the other. What I can say is, this was a pretty rare occurance. I was hatching and killing hundreds of baby dinos in a batch back then. *or I didn't notice it happening as frequently because I would kill them off if they didn't have what I needed.
  19. Are you using the old fashioned hatch method or incubators? as far as I know, it’s just the incubators that have no chance of mixed gender twins.
  20. Sometimes the no build area and the mission area doesn't exactly line up. There are spots where you can build and it still ends up slightly in a mission area. There’s a spot in the arctic that can do that to your advantage for a mission.
  21. I think this might be the wrong direction to come from. Since overbuilding is an issue already, we should avoid encouraging it. Instead make it destroyed x number of structures instead.
  22. What is the mutation cap you are looking for? 20 mutations total? How would it function versus how it works now? There's already caps in place. You can't take a stat over 254 points. A dino can't go above 450 or 500 , that's also a cap. There aren't any infinitely pointed dinos on officials. I'm not sure how that would be done without a massive reengineering of the feature.
