One thing that can occur while using exo meks to move structures around, electrified structures become unelectrified. I'm pretty sure its just the last one that it touches gets that, but it does happen when using an exo mek. Not sure if that applied to OPs situation though.

The only issue with raised up on pillars is there are ways to mesh into the floor. Double walled insulation (1 tile spaced)from the floor to the ceiling is the best suggestion.

I find searching for custom maps on google is an easier way to identify them for Ark.

I have to say you are kind of lucky to get any striders at all. I had 2 get meshed on genOne and at that time they said they won't replace lost striders. But as always, when they do replace them, there's no guarantee of stats or colors, so it falls in line with that logic that they won't give you striders that fit the same configurations as the ones you lost.

excellent point. I was too flip in dismissing its usefulness. It is an acessable exo mek without having to buy into gen2. Beyond that though, this animal shines brighter in PVP than it does on a PVE server.

From what I've seen, it doesn't matter. High melee is useful though. When you get attacked by scary stuff, high melee comes in handy.

The topic of the thread does not match the contents of the first post. What are we supposed to respond to here? For one thing, we are the beta testers. Therefore its obviously not in beta testing right now because that begins when they release ASA. Secondly, they added a tame that can pick up almost every animal in game. Wouldn't that make sense to make sure that all works properly before adding in the new creature? It would, but its not obvious, because WC doesn't do the obvious stuff usually.

It has almost no value on a PVE server. You can't pick up anything on PVE, hence - its mostly useless.

They are impossible to find when you want to find them. The best advice I can give is to not just look on the ground. they can often be found up above where animals fall into the area upon spawning but get stuck on the ledges above everything. That’s where I look if I can’t find them hunting mobs on the ground.

For those of us on PC, we can easily export a copy of our dino data. We can then import that data into Ark Smart Breeding, which allows us to keep a database of all our animals. The extra benefit is that we can export a command that will rebuild that animal into any game we have admin powers on. This would allow you to replace any animal that doesn't transfer through data. If you have backups, that's the only other way to pull out the data you need to reinsert it into your existing worlds.

Bodies can also be moved to near things that will kill them, not just water. Double walled rooms inside your base is the best way in my opinion. The base could be glitched in , easily sometimes. But the second room that is inside another room is much harder to get into.

^ if you have raised any animals with your character, the player is # is stored in those animals. The old implant isn’t the only source of that info.

When this starts to happen, the last possible moment to save from erasing your character is to actually log out instead of spawning on a bed. when you arrive to a server with a character and accidentally click ‘ok’ to the overwrite message, all is not lost. It’s only lost if you actually spawn from a bed after that message.

Most likely SoL. The only way would maybe be if people want to host a server, there's no clear answer yet how that will work - if at all.

I've never heard of this problem before. Are you running mods? Did you modify any .ini files?

I would imagine this would be easier to find out if you peaked into the dev kit for making mods on ark. This table and the algorithm for picking loot should be in there. Modders would most likely be the group of people who might have someone with an answer for this. I don't think many modders meet up here, so this might not be the best place to find the answer.

This has happened to me several times. I would say some of those were truely bugged situations. But semi-recently I figured out that sometimes It was because there just wasn't enough food left for the time I was gone. When I come back, the server checks how much food they needed to eat to account for the time since they were last rendered. IF there isn't enough food for all of them to account for this. All but 1 will probably die, and there will be food leftover because the ones that were short just were killed instead of feeding on the insufficient amount of food. So the food is left behind making you think there was enough.

In the upper right hand corner of the page, you click on log in. Once you are logged in, in the same corner of the page you click on submit a report. From there fill in as much information about them and the situation as you can. When you get to a field you don't know how to fill, or you don't have that exact information available (example: steamID of the offender) just put in " n/a ' . You must have all fields with a red asterisk filled out with something for the report to process. Make sure to take some screenshots and include the links or the files themselves into the report. I usually do a screenshot after hitting ESC, so that pulls up the information of the server to verify the pictures I take look connected and present on the server I claim to be reporting about.

I had this exact same thing happen to me on genesis 1 in the early days of setting up a base on official. There was 1 ceiling that would not go in. There was clearly floor all around under neath because I'm boring and my roofs match my floors below. I did not want to rebuild that entire area underneath, which I'm sure would have fixed it. It was on a slope and so there was probably some inconsistency in a pillar row I setup. THe fix for me was to place walls right below the opening that needed to be filled, and I half stepped ceilings to cover the gap.

It makes sense for a long term strategy in maintaining official servers. having all separate networks is redundant and expensive.

You could definitely do 50 melee and rest hp. I'd say you might be able to go even less on hp if you have good saddles.
