Couldn't you just unclaim the ovis ?

My server, 209, has been down since yesterday. I'm now missing the 2nd day of a 7 day event. I know there are many many more servers like mine. Surely there will be an extension to compensate those who cant play, right ?

Lately the lag has been really bad. Wasnt like this on launch, but over the last few days the game has been just about unplayable. Bounced around a few servers today just trying to find something stable enough to play the Survive the Ark mission to no avail. DDos, duping, or just bad server performance on the games end ? Maybe all three at once ? I don't know exactly what the cause is but I know what the result has been - me shutting off the game within 20-30 mins of turning it on. Not exactly what you want to see in the 2nd week of the delayed DLCs launch.

Build in metal. First thing I did was convert my crappy little temp shack to metal and hide what little valuables I was able to amass yesterday in a bush box because I'm sure even w a semi hidden metal house I probably still got raided overnight.

Dont think you can chastise people for having no patience when we've all been waiting since DECEMBER for this dlc. They tweeted just last night that everything was on track for release today. Bit of a joke really after delaying it a week at the last minute already. They're just supremely unorganized and it borders on being unprofessional when it occurs over and over and over again. People have every right to be aggravated and short on patience.

Fact is they shouldn't be running into major game breaking bugs when they've already had an extra 5 months of development time to work on Gen 2 on top of the 4 months they initially had since CI released in Aug of last year. You'd think the last few weeks before release on May 26th would be spent putting the icing on the cake, but it seems to me the cake is still being baked even this late into the release window. It indicates to me that Gen 2 probably still isnt in a polished well running state, but the clock has run out so its basically force the thing out the door for better or worse time. I really hope I'm wrong and I'll gladly eat my hat if Gen 2 is smooth and stable come Jun 2nd.

The mana ban is one of the few bright spots about gen 1. Would make me so happy if they extended it to gen 2.

Sadly doesnt look like we're getting much underwater content in gen 2 especially with an entire biome dedicated to it in gen 1.

A water/air mount would be absolutely flipping amazing. UFOs can do it so why not space whales ?

Man I've seen some WC apologists on here, but this guy takes the cake. Delays are fine. Bugs are fine. Glitches are fine. Is that you Dolly ?

You'd have to be a moron to be surprised about arks awful launch states even after multiple delays, but judging by some of the blind faith posts here, that seems to be exactly what were dealing with.

And in the end it's still barely playable. I guess you forget how bad genesis 1 stuttered on it's release or the invisible drones that made the lunar biome unplayable. If that was as good as they good get it after a lengthy delay I'd hate to see what it looked like before. I dont hate the game, I like it. Doesnt changr the fact that the dev team is trash and has been from day 1. Great concepts but absolutely horrid execution EVERY TIME.

It's intended release time was December 2020. Quite a few surprise bugs in the last 6 months I guess.

Genesis 2 was supposed to release in December of 2020. They sold this dlc as a forced package deal with gen. Yes, paying customers are entitled to get what they pay for.

Yeah genesis 1 was real polished after its delay. Oh wait no it was still broken af. Yeah extinction was real polished after its delay. Oh wait no it was still broken af. Nothing this team has ever released has been polished right down to simple events. Crystal Isles came out on August 25th last year. How much time does a studio need to finish ONE MAP. Keep licking their boots though. I'm sure Ark 2 will be polished right ?

I already paid for gen 2 though...

The covid thing is BS. I guess WC has been experiencing a pandemic since 2015 because this game has ALWAYS suffered from delay upon delay upon delay. What a cop out for their inadequate planning and managment.

WC better figure out how to streamline the transfer process in ark 2. It's been well documented how broken this current system is and even when it works as intended it's soul crushing to have to wait FIFTEEN MINUTES if you miss the transfer window, which is in the game for no reason btw because duping is still rampant.

I'm mad about the music honestly. I love this events twist on the ark theme song.

Catering to EST? I'd much rather have it at 9pm like on the west coast.

You can get the whip on Valguero along with some aberration stuff like the glider and climbing picks.

At this point the game was way outgrown dinosaurs. I loved the prehistoric feel of ark back in the day too, but what is adding another variation of a trex or trike really gonna do for the game..? They can get much more creative with stuff like an invisible freakin lion, and honestly I think something like that is simply more interesting than another dinosaur added to the 100 dinos we already have. Again, with the map what are they gonna do add another volcano/snow/desert area ? We've been there done that several times over. I absolutely love the look of the ship and how the biomes wrap around it in rings. So much more interesting than another Valguero or Ragnarok type landscape. I like that they've gone in a new direction, I just hope they dont royally screw it up with some dumb design decision like they did with the mission build restrictions and teleporting that made gen 1 awful (neither are in gen 2).
