  1. So what I've gathered from this crunch is that wildcard has no idea what the pvp playerbase wants. Nobody that actually played the game for an extended period of time asked for movement speed to be removed. No cryos is gonna cause an uproar and you'll either have people leaving the game or be forced to add them back. You can't just give people something that important they've been used to for 5 years which was eventually turned into part of the base game and just take it away. Most of the current playerbase hasn't even seen the game before cryos. Rhyniognatha better be getting nerfed into the ground if they're gonna be there on launch or they're gonna be the only tame in the game that is even viable for open world pvp. With no nets or other fast fliers they have absolutely 0 counters. fun game. Even unofficials with every dlc available mostly either nerfed its hp by 80% or completely removed it because it's just that broken even at low levels.
  2. Name 1 thing that goes to poop if Classic goes back to season 2 rules, you can't. There are plenty of counters to Golems as long as Mammoth buff is removed (Weight grapple, picking, stacking bleed from multiple bleed dinos etc, cannon(does like 3k pr shot), etc), and you actually need to be good to win open world fights without Gigas. The last few seasons of Classic has only had 1 thing matter for pushing: Giga melee. It sucks all of the skill out of the meta. With Mammoth buff enabled you can't even use fliers or anything to help win the Giga fight because you can't pick them, so whoever rolls the luckiest wild Giga melee wins the season. You're saying it ruins the gameplay because it takes tons of time to take out enemy dinos, but the only dinos that even take time to kill in the classic meta are Gigas, Golems and Reapers(Maybe Stegos but they have nerfed resistance). If Reapers and Gigas are removed the damage scaling fixes itself, Spinos and other land dinos will kill each other at a similar pace to how Gigas do since they have much less hp. The only dino that doesn't instantly die is Golems, but not being able to counter them is a skill issue not a balancing issue. Removing the big munch munch dinosaurs that have no counters is what everyone (except you) wants. They tried seasons with them, now people are giving their feedback. (Classic season 2 also had servers with reaching 100 pop less than a month before it wiped. The ruleset worked and everyone loved it. Season 3 and onwards has had much lower pop even though the game has had similar player counts up until last year where Gen 2 killed it.) Ok I ended up writing an essay lol, if you have any arguments against my argument here I'll gladly explain to you why you're wrong.
  3. Just for clarification in case you guys (Snailgames) somehow misinterpret the comments, when we say we want Gigas removed we also want Carchars removed. Nobody even mentioned them but this season already seems like it has them enabled as part of the ''new meta change''. Carchars will absolutely ruin the meta because they're just faster Gigas that don't rage. Please don't ruin the last classic season of Ark 1's lifetime. Classic season 2 was the golden age of the game. Every dino was useable in open world pvp and you could win if you were good. Another point to get rid of Gigas and Carchars: Classic is advertised as a competitive cluster. The higher the skill gap is the more competitive the server is. Gigas and Carchars are 2 of the least skill based dinos in the game. Anyone can left click. In classic s2 you were rewarded for being good at flier pvp and foot pvp, both of which require a lot more skill than left clicking with a big dinosaur.

Since there will be cave building (or at least it hasn't been stated that we won't have cave building, it would usually already be in the announcement) it will only be the weak tribes that wouldn't last anyway that are getting wiped, since fjordur has a lot of strong caves and the breedlines take a while before they can soak a lot. Most tribes will be alive after the 90 days unless they quit out of boredom or tea decides to go banning everyone again like classic season 4.
  6. Lost Island will be added after 90 days which has the net engram and maewings spawn on Fjordur which means gen 2 engrams will be enabled by default. This means nets will also be enabled. All it takes to fix this season is just remove that one engram.
  7. Every other cluster has gen 1 and 2, no skilled or experienced ark players like the Gen 2 meta. Gen 1 is okay to some degree but if you're asking for there to be no official options to play ark without Gen 2 you need to rethink things.
  8. First of all, YES, this season is perfect, no gen 2 means the meta is actually gonna be fun. But 1 mistake is still left to be made here, REMOVE NET ENGRAM PLEASE. Without gen 2 dinos nets have no reason to exist, all they do is make people sit on gigas and wait for somebody to make a move before netting then chomping. We want the old ark meta from right before gen 2, which was skill based and lacked a 1 button get out of jail free card. If this is going to be the last wipe of the 25 man servers before ark 2 please don't mess it up, everybody that wants to play with nets can go to smalls or main official.
  9. Remove nets from classic. People play classic to ESCAPE FROM GEN 2, but the pvp sure as hell doesn't feel like the old days when any monkey on foot can click once on ur tame to ground it then uncryo a giga and eat it. Nets literally punish you for being better at the game than whoever you're fighting, you pick them, they net your dino, and now they can just grapple to their dino while ur dropping to the ground and then they have advantage. The only way to play around nets is by netting your dino before fighting, and in that case you might as well just raptoring go ahead and remove them.
