To feed dinos in the baby stage you just put meat/berries in their inventory and the will eat it as they need it. They can only hold a few at a time at first. Its also important to stay in rendering at first as they wont eat in stasis and could die

Played a little destiny 2 this morning before hopping on ark. We didn't have a ton of time but we did some gathering for the rex saddles. I also sat down and figured out how much I need for 20 mc rex saddles (i know I only need 19, but if Im doing a wipe to make them, might as well make an extra) Total mats would be 59,000 fiber, 112,000 hide, and 14,720 ingots. Right now we have 17,000 fiber, 8000 ingots, and only 8500 hide, but after we get a couple of yutty tomorrow we are going focus on gathering and leveling rex.

Didnt do much today, headed up to blue obelisk with our argy pack to pick up ingots, crystal and obsidian that we had been farming for a few days. Then did another metal, obsidian, and crystal run. Threw the metal in the forges and headed back to base. Decided to craft up several large storage boxes for the fertilizer I have been holding in random dinos. Filled 7 boxes and dropped the rest. Too much fertilizer is a byproduct of dung beetles, lol. I think im going to surround my rex factory is plant x just to use it up. Tomorrow we are going to do another metal run working towards making the saddle. Saturdays main goal is getting a pair of yutty. I'm trying to decide how I want to do it. I have a taming pen in the snow biome so either im going to use a boss rex to lure it to the pen and just tank the yutty while my wife tranqs it, or Ill craft up an ascendent metal shield from a bp I picked up a few days ago and lure it in myself. In the past we used wyvrens to kite them to a pen, but I dont have wyvrens now. Are rock drakes immune to the fear? I do have 4 or 5 on aberration and I can bring 1 over.

I know what you mean, Im constantly on edge on Aberration, its a pretty dangerous map, especially since things fall from above. I remember the first time a reaper queen popped out in front of me, I jumped out of my chair, lol. All the same I still love it.

Aberration is a challange to navigate at first, but once you learn some landmarks its not too bad. The obelisk on the surface do suck, so I too spawned a tek transmitter in my aberration base so we can transfer between it and my island server with ease. Once I slow down on my grind to doing bosses on the island Im going to start spending more time on Aberration. I want to get some baslisk (should be easy with all the fert rex eggs I have) and try for a reaper king.

This was our evening last night Got 13 boss rex from 7 eggs (still no mutations). We now how 20 boss rex, well technically 21 but I added that cool looking one I posted a picture of yesterday to the breeding group, so we have 4 females and 1 male tied up to s+ hitching post to pop out eggs every 18 hrs or so. I still have to hatch 2 or 3 more for my brother to imprint on but that's no big deal. And I've decided rather then breed a bunch of spares, I'm just going to stockpile fertilized eggs for the next few weeks and hatch them as I need replacements since they only take 5 hrs to raise. This morning we just took a pair to start leveling. My plan is to get all of them to 700 melee first then take them out again to pump up the hp. I found something odd but nice, if you run through the swamp chomping trees, for some reason it gives you a lot of xp, gained several levels in just a few minutes and that was without any explorer notes. Tomorrow we may switch gears and focus on gathering for the saddles. We need about 16k ingots and 100k hide to make the 19 MC saddles , although we can get the hide while leveling rex

That looks awesome, i really need to make an outpost that is focused on looks, most of my bases end up as boring boxes, lol

Last night we raised 8 rex, and I underestimated how much meat we needed so I had to do a run mid raise, lol. Didnt get any mutation but did get an awesome combo of parent colors on one rex This morning we did a meat run which doubled as a rex leveling run. Killed an alpha rex, alpha carno, and alpha raptor so it was a good run and we got about 6k meat which should be enough for tonights hatch session

Since your not doing flyers, Kangaroos are great pack mules in SE, they can out run anything and have a great carry weight. When I played SE I had an army of them for picking up oil or metal

Wasnt going to have much to talk about today, did a meat run on the rexs and a little dino organizing, but then found this guy while out farming meat. Meet Butt Stallion (name inspired from Borderlands 2) I was just about to chomp him with my rex for meat and hide when I realized it was a unicorn. So we rushed back and grabbed an argent to pick him up and tame him. Its was only lvl 97 pre tame, but it was a unicorn Only the 2nd one I've ever been able to tame in ark. I also downed a 167 female stego outside our base, dropped some mejo berries in it and forgot about it. Remembered an hour later and went to check on it and it was gone. Looked around thinking it woke up and a raptor pins me. So thats what happened to it, i thought. Nbd Im in full flak with 1k armor and 750hp so I wait till he lets me go then introduce him to my ascendent pump shotty, lol So tonight we hatch more rex and tomorrow gather more meat followed by hatching more rex and gathering more meat, lol. This weekends main focus will be taming a pair of yutty, cave running and gathering metal for rex saddles

I will try a mindwipe before crafting the sattles. Thank you. Ill still keep a lookout for an even better saddle bp for alpha bm. Looks like our rex should hit 48k hp with 700 melee. So today we hatched more rex eggs, and got 2 females and 1 male with good hp and melee so now we have 4 females and 1 male ready to start popping out boss rex After hatching the rex we set out looking for yutties and mega sloths, but only found low levels of each. After that we decided to hit some caves to start stockpiling artifacts. For BM we already had 4 artifacts of the clever, so we grabbed 2 each artifacts of the hunter and massive. We had 2 brutes for the ape and we grabbed 2 devourer but some how forgot to grab 2 artifacts of the pack. We will grab them this weekend. The cave runs went pretty uneventfull. We took ravagers to all and took it slow, brought plenty of soups and antidote and didnt run into any issues other then broken armor. Unfortunatly we didnt get any loot worth talking about either, lol. This weeks plans are to hatch, hatch, and hatch some more. We plan on doing meat runs before work and hatching rex after work. In between this we need to farm for making saddles too and stockpile more artifacts. At this point Im thinking 2 weeks before our 1st boss run, as long as I can find a decent yutty pair by then

That is a bummer, try TakeAllDino and TakeAllStructure while looking at the dinos/structures and it should give them to you TakeAl

2nd update for today. Decided to jump on for a little bit tonight. Started out rather boring, I took the bronto to the swamp to harvest rare flower for our bee hive as well as making refertilizer to power our s+ incubator. While I did that my wife tagged a long with a rex gathering meat for our next round of breeding. Ended up with 1100 flowers and 1800 meat After that we had about 45 minutes left to play so I asked my wife if she wanted to go on a dangerous adventure that may end in us dieing. She said sure why not, so I said lets try the cave of the lost faith which was reall close to my base. We had no scuba and no decent water dinos, but I heard it could have good loot. So we left all our good gear at home, ate some chowder and hopped on the frogs Now I had a long post typed out with good details of the trip but friggen fat fingered the back button on my phone and lost it all . Its late so Ill give a TLDR version. Basically we made it to the artifact chamber, looted a blue crate and hit the jackpot, an 80% MC rex saddle bp and grabbed an artifact each. On the way out i ran out of chowder, got to the exit just as I ran out of oxygen and died halfway to the surface. Came back with a spino to recover my frog and body, only to come face to face with a lvl 200 alpha shark and a pack of 5 or 6 sharks. Tustled with it for several minutes, managed to get my frog to saftey and loot my body. Quickly brought the rex saddle bp back to base the my wife and I returned with spinos to kill the alpha shark which took another 10 minutes So tomorrow our focus shifts to breeding rex and taming a yutty pair. I did not expect to get a good saddle bp this early. Question from someone who has never done bosses, will an 80% saddle be enough for alpha bm and alpha Megapithecus with 19 45k-50k hp rex and a yutty? I plan on doing the 2 eaisier modes first to learn the fights, but wanted to know how good the saddle is.

Only thing I had time for today was another round of hatching. Hatched 6 eggs, but only kept 2. Both were females and both had 11,660 hp and 402% melee at hatch. We should have another 4 to hatch tomorrow and hopefully get a male with 11,660 hp and 402% melee. We will have 3 or 4 hours to play tomorrow. Besides hatching rex we want to look for a pair of yutty, a female bary and maybe do a little caving. We are close to a boss breeding pair of rex so its time to start stockpiling artifacts and looking for a good rex saddle bp. Im hoping to be ready to make a boss run in 2 or 3 weeks, I know Ill have plenty of dinos by then but Im not sure if Ill have saddles

A little update. Hatched some rex eggs tonight, ended up hatching 15 eggs but only keeping 5 rex. 1 male with 402% melee and 10.5k hp pre imprint, and 3 females and 1 male with 9.9k hp and 402% melee pre imprint and no mutations. My next step is to breed the females with the tamed male I have that has 11,660 hp and hopefully get a male and female with 402% melee and 11,660hp to start a boss line

We got a lot done today in a short ammount of time. Started by wiring up the rex factory with s+ internal wires. Then dropped a generator, an s+ ac, 3 s+ fridges, and 4 s+ troughs. Not a full setup but enough to hatch a few rex this weekend. Next my wife finishes up the roof and i grab an anky and a couple argents and gather some oil for gas since we have 2 generators to fill now. On the way back from getting gas I swing by blue obelisk to pick up the 3500 flint ive been stock piling there. Get everything back to the main base and get the gas cooking. At this point my wife had finished the roof, so we decide to take all of our gathering dinos back to our main base, filling up with stone, wood, berries and thatch on the trip back. Next we grabbed an imprinted pair of our breeder rex and go on a meat run to load up our fridges in the rex factory. We make a big loop through the snow biome, past the volcano and back to our base and end up with enough meat to fill the 3 fridges. Surprisingly we saw no alphas. To finish out the morning I hopped over to aberration to grab a few of our dung beetles for oil and fert while my wife gathers some more stone. Then we fill up both generators, craft up a bunch of spark powder and log off to go to work I think we are going to hatch 4 or 5 rex eggs after work tonight. At our rates it only takes 5 hours so they should be finished by bed. We wont get much play time tomorrow but I should be able to do another 5 eggs. Sunday we should be able to play a while so I may look for a yutty pair and female bary as well as hatching more rex. Im also going to look for another couple wild rex to tame, hopefully something with great hp, we have a rex with decent hp but it could always be better

Shes at 500 melee now. I know what you mean about loading up on berries, used her to get thatch this morning and ended up encumbered a few times from all the berries, and I was able to get the 8k thatch I needed in maybe 10 minutes. My only fear with her will be gigas and high level alpha rex, but im thinking nothing else will be a threat. I also just added the snappy saddle mod to make platform building eaisier, but Im still a few levels away from actually making a bronto platform saddle. I'm hoping to find a similar level male soon and get an imprinted pair and level those in just hp and melee and see what they can do. This go around I'm trying to use dinos that I havent really used for more then just kibble.

Good point, i will add a few points to speed, melee isnt too important, im going to have some sort of protection detail with it and its 19k hp is more then enough for pve. I'm also going to add the snappy saddles mod to make building on it eaisier

I usually don't tame anything after work but I logged on to have the rexs mate again, and noticed a 217 female bronto on the beach and I just had to have it. I've never had one that high, took 80 tranqs with a 247% xbow. Mostly kibble tamed her, we were shy 4 turtle eggs. But here she is...Big Bertha And here are her stats after tame At this point I'm not fully sure what I want to do with her. I think I'm just going to pump a little melee and stam and the rest weight and make a fully functioning base on her to roam around the island looking for notes. This morning we somehow managed to gather enough to build all but 19 of the 400 ceilings we needed for the roof before running out of time (vanilla rates) So tomorrow we finish the roof then start outfitting the place and hopefully hatch a bunch of rex Saturday

I love the starting out on a new map stories. Im tempted to add scorched to my cluster, but Im kind of waiting for the 3rd dlc

Kibble gives the most amount of food for Daedons, but of course can be a pain to make mass amounts. Second best is cooked prime/mutton followed by cooked meat

Today we started up picking up ingots, crystal, and obsidian at the blue obelisk. Here is our argent army Next we just continued work on the Rex Factory. Managed to get all but 4 walls finished before having to go to work. I also installed the s+ glass corner. I wanted to make it bigger but had less crystal then i thought Tomorrow we will for sure finish the walls and hopefully make good headway on the ceiling. I'm really hoping to have it finished by Friday because I have plans with family Saturday morning so we wont be able to play our usual 4 or 5 hours, but Id really like to start hatching rex this weekend.

It takes the same amount of time. Its more so if the dino is either in a dangerous area and theres a chance it might die, or you are feeding it something with a fast spoil time like raw prime, so your not wasting resources. You starve it for as long as it takes to tame it then dump all the required food at once and it eats it all at once and tames. Last night we hatched an aberrant spino egg for my wife to replace the one she lost yesterday morning. This morning I searched for a high lvl female bary but gave up after 15 minutes. Then we decided we should continue work on the "rex factory", and got maybe half the walls done. By saturday we will have about 15 rex eggs to hatch so i need a good spot for them. Here is our progress on it so far. I hope to have all the walls and roof done by the weekend. I plan on putting s+ glass walls on the side facing the snow and a glass observation deck on the roof for watching for drops while we sit in chairs afk raising babies. Eventually it will have a fenced in area for all the full grown rex. Of course it will be outfitted with a dozen or so fridges for meat and berries and turrets/plant x on the roof to keep the badies away when we take the little guys for walks. This area is a hotspot for argent, rex, allo, sabre and alpha spawns. This weeks plans are to finish this, find a female bary, and start pumping out rex
