  1. Had a busy day today. Jumped to the island right off to do some taming. Started out looking for a male megasloth in the snow biome and tamed 2 wolves in the process, a 142 male and 195 female. Continued searching and tamed a 180 male mammoth as well. We soon gave up on looking for sloths in the snow and headed to the redwoods. After about 20 minutes my wife spotted a 180 male. I had the trap so i caught up to her, we trapped it and tranqed it, then surrounded it with dino gates. On the way to it I spotted a 217 thylo on the shoreline. Went back to grab it and it was dead, it somehow drowned :(. So we left the megasloth to starve and we headed back to base to grab honey when we spotted a sheep on the way. Killed it for mutton instead. Got back to the sloth at dark and tamed it on mutton. Noticed a green drop nearby so we headed to it to upload the sloth. Got the the beacon which was in shallow water, took the saddle off the sloth and all heck broke loose. A carno comes up and starts chomping me. At the same time a pack of pirahnas starts attaking the sloth who was not on neutral. My wife was on her argent with mine following trying to help without hitting the water. I get to where I could stand and pump the carno full of lead. Then i run to the sloth, pop the saddle back on and kill the piranahs. Finally get him uploaded just as the drop finishes. Next I run to shore to hop on my bird and get attacked by dilos and troodons. Its pitch black, Im blinded so I start spinning around blasting my shotgun at everything while trying not to hit our argents and finally kill everything and somehow not get knocked out, hop on my bird and head home, lol We get back to base, i fix my armor, make more shells and we relax for a few minutes. Daylight breaks and we go on another hunt and come across a pack of allos, 1 being an all black 195 female. So we throw together a quick taming pen, kite them all in, snipe her 2 mates from afar and tranq her. Run back to base and had just enough diplo eggs to tame her. Get her tamed, bring her back to base. Then tame an event turtle before uploading the wolves and heading back to SE with the sloth too The rest of today we plan on breeding the wolves and sloths. Tomorrow we plan on hunting for more things to tame, my #1 goal is to find a high level male to breed with that all black allo, it looks so sweet.
  2. Last night we bred our sabres and got 1 male. No mutations but the biggest thing I wanted was the imprint. We will probably breed them again so my wife gets an imprinted one too. Todays main goal was building a chemistry bench, and after a run to the dunes for organic polly and chitin we were able to make it. Tomorrows main plan is to hope over to the island to do some taming, thezios, tek rex, allos, and whales are our top priority but we will also be on the lookout for any cool event dinos. We will also spend a little time on SE looking for a 200+ mate for our megasloth and a 200+ male wolf so we can start breeding them as well
  3. Today we started by doing a meat run to prepare for breeding our sabres tonight. Then we continued work on the wall on the cliff above us and got it about 75% complete. While working on it we noticed a lvl 90 argent nearby and decided to tame it. While the argent starved we did a little metal run. We are working towards building a chemistry bench and indy forge. After the argent tamed up I noticed our s+ plant x had finally finished growing. Took 2 or 3 real life days and that was with 300% greenhouse effect with s+ glass ceilings, i forgot crops take forever to grow on SE. So I removed the glass and set them to only target wild argents, wyvrens and vultures. Then I did a test run by kiting an argent over. They took it out fairly quick but I think a wyvren may get an attack or 2 in before getting taken out, so we planted 4 more s+ plant x. Before logging we did a crystal/obsidian run in the nearby crystal cave. So tonight we are going to breed the sabres and tomorrow we will work on the wall and continue gathering for the forge and chemistry bench. I think we are going to spend some time on the island this weekend taming event dinos and doing some housekeeping and maybe taming some thezios to slowly start getting ready for the dragon fight. I also really want to tame a few whales and start doing more ocean exploration
  4. Had a short play time today. Didn't really get a lot done but we did tame a few things. Started off by finding a 195 female Sabre right outside our base. Kited her to our taming pen and tamed her. While she was starving we did a quick metal run, only got about half of what I wanted because a rock elemental was blocking one path. Ended up with 1800 metal though. After taming the sabre we tamed a lvl 7 scorp for kibble. Next we decided to tame an argy, went for a lvl 30 so we would only use it for "local" things and use our kanga or mega sloth for anything far away. After that we did a little gathering so we can start extending our walls as well as put a wall on the cliff behind us. then I brought our Island argies back to the island and we logged We will continue to work on the wall this week. I'm debating on bringing over a couple of our boss rexes to help deal with these rock elementals. Our "oasis" is loaded with them, although we may just tame a good pair of rex on SE instead Some eye candy, our new argy holding one of our jerboas
  5. Had a fairly productive day today. My wife gathered wood while I went back to the old base to pick up our taming pens, then I set one up near our new base. No sooner did I get that set up and we spot a 210 female sabre. So we get her in the pen and tranqed. While she starved we get 4 s+ plant x planted on the roof of the pyramid as well as running water to them. Next we relocate the generator from the center of the room to the very top floor of the pyramid and get the place wired up. About the time we finished that it was time to get some prime for the sabre, which was pretty easy with the several parcers and carnos around. After taming her we did a little exploring and found the crystal/obsidian/sulfer cave and tamed an albino moshops along the way. We then started searching for any decent metal nodes but got cut short due to a superheat (temps sored to almost 200 degrees F) and decided to quit for the day. Now that we have a pair of sabres we will probably breed them this week. We are getting low on fuel too so we need to get an oil pump setup in the next few days. The rest of this week we will continue work on the base and get a wind generator going to save on fuel
  6. We were out of town for the weekend so we didnt do anything Saturday and Sunday. We did get to play a little Friday before we left and this morning before work and managed to get running water to the base, get a few crops going, and build the pyramid. Snap points were not playing nice at all and the only way I could get the top 3 floors to not have gaps in the corners was to flip the walls around. I must have rebuilt it 3 or 4 times before giving up. So my next project is to flip the bottom 2 floor's walls around, not a huge deal with s+ atleast. The "steps" are going to be lined with crops and plant x/turrets to protect agains wild wyvrens and argents Next we are going to finish the interior. I played around on single player and theres plenty of room inside for an indy forge, storage and a bed room. After we finish the inside I think we may hop over to the island for a bit and do some taming and finish our wall around the base. I'd love to tame some event dinos as well as allos, a few good pairs of thezios for breeding and a good pair of tek rex
  7. Today was moving day, started by taking several trips with the argys to carry all of our doeds, ankys, horses (btw, tamed a 180 horse yesterday) and thorny dragons to the new base. Then we loaded up our pack mules with stuff and made a wagon train run. Me on a Parcer in the front, my wife on a mega sloth taking up the rear and a carno and sabre in the middle as protection. It went fairly uneventful, had to stop a few times to remove rocks and trees, and regroup a few times after fighting random raptors and terror birds, but we made it all in one piece. After that we were running short on time so we used the argys to make a few more trips to bring back stuff and any small/shoulder dinos. We probably have another 3 or 4 vultures left and maybe 1 more trip worth of stuff to grab but id say we are 95% moved. I only have about 2 or 3 hours time left to play before we go on vacation so my plan is to finish moving and hopefully get water run up to the base and a few crops going and if theres time start building up the pyramid. Heres our base and pen now. The building now is the base of the pyramid. Up on that cliff is 85% wind so we will place a turbine up there and it will also be walled off to keep dinos from falling in. Pen will be expanded as we get more dinos You can see here where the water is and how far we have to run the plumbing. Ill probably use stone now for the sake of time/resources and eventually upgrade it to metal
  8. Had a few extra hours to play this morning so we got a lot done. Started out logging in and finding 3 stuck dinos to tame, a 157 kanga, 197 anklo and 147 parasaur all caught up on some of our dinos. So we carefully tranqed and tamed them all Next we did some gathering and finished building what was needed to get our new base move in ready as well as enough stuff for a decent fence. Hopped on the kanga and megatherium and went down and placed everything. Next we hopped over to the island and finnaly gathered enough mats to make a tek transmitter and placed it dead center on top of our base and it actually looks pretty cool. Then we transfered over a couple of argies to SE to assist in the move. My plan is to only use them to carry the slow gathering dinos and not to haul any mats themselves, and then bring the argents back to the island. And that wraps it up. We plan on getting all our dinos and stuff moved in before we go out of town Friday. Then next week we start building the pyramid We also need to build a wall on the cliff above us to keep wild dinos from falling into our base
  9. Thank you, I've always loved the mega sloths, surprised I waited this long to tame one this go around. If I can find a mate I'm going to make a sloth army, lol. They will for sure come in handy on the new base, we decided we are going to make some type of pyramid, with crops along the outside as well as plant x and turrets for wild wyvren defense. Never did a pyramid so it will be interesting and fun The heat here has been horrible, I think we are going to spend a decent amount of time in the pool. Would hit the beach but the ocean temps are still ice cold around here till about mid August. Today we started with some gathering for the new base then we started laying down foundations. Initially its just going to be a 10x10x2 square box just to get moved in, but we will soon change it into a pyramid. Ended up being short on foundations (favorite s+ feature) because I had to stack some due to uneven terrain but we also got the walls up. Ended up building below a cliff, the base is only in 40% wind but on to of the cliff is 85% so I plan on putting a wind generator in both zones. Tomorrow we plan on finishing the structure and maybe getting started on a pen, but we probably wont have time to actually move in until after we get back from vacation. At this point Im probably going to borrow an argent from our Island server to help with the move then bring it back after the move
  10. Today started as a gathering day in preperation for the move. We want to prebuild a 10x10 building as well as a moderate sized pen before we make the move. My wife farmed stone/sand while i got wood and thatch. While gathering we spotted a lvl 30 morellatops stuck on some rocks so I decided to tame it for water storage/cactus sap gathering. For only a lvl 30 it had over 500 weight after being tamed which I was impressed with. After clearing out all the trees near our base we decide to take a trip with the ankys to the nearby mountain to gather metal to make the ascendent sickle since we needed fiber for adobe as well. We came back with just enough metal for it so we throw it in the forges. While waiting for the metal to smelt we went on hunt to find a high lvl wolf, sabre or carno to pair with the ones we had. We ended up finding something much better, a 195 Female Albino megatherium So i pop a tranq in it to agro it and start kiting it to our taming pen while my wife runs ahead to kill any bugs in the path. I get it almost to the pen and a jug bug appears out of nowhere and the megasloth goes beserk, so we fall back till it calms down and It wipes out all dinos that were around, pigs, wolves, ankys and doeds and even a parcer before it calmed down. We finally get it in the pen and after what seemed like forever had it tranqed. At this point we were short on time so I hoped over to this island as it was starving and slaughtered one of our sheep for mutton and I made the saddle. She stood up with just shy of 8k hp and a hair over 1200 weight. And now we dont have to make that sickle, lol Plans for this week are to continue gathering for the move and find a mate for the megasloth so we can breed super sloths. We wont be playing this weekend as its my 5 year wedding anniversy so we are driving up to Bar Harbor, ME for the weekend, so we need to get as much done as we can before Friday
  11. Not a lot of time so Ill give the short version. Today we got a lot done. We tamed a 175 wolf, 127 thorny dragon, 210 thorny dragon, 3 lvl 3 vultures, 1 lvl 210 vulture and a 225 carno. We also built a fabricator, generator, fridge and ac unit. We scoped out a spot for a new base, near the red obelisk. Theres a spot with 85% wind and there are tons of resources, especial pearls and crystals, but plenty of wood, thatch, stone and cactus sap to build a good base. Plans for this week are to gather and build enough to get moved down there, so a basic 10x10 structure as well as a dino pen. Plus we plan on taming an argent to help with the move, mainly to carry our squishy gathering dinos there as its a dangerous gauntlet getting there.
  12. We didnt get too much accomplished today. Finally tamed a Thorny dragon, only a 105 but stood up with almost 500 weight. Then we spent the rest of the time looking for a sabre, carno and kanga. Struck out on all 3. Before we quit we tamed a 75 Paracer (this time with tranq arrows, lol) Figure we can use it as a pack mule and eventually for golem taming. We then hopped over to the island and hatched anky eggs. Hatched 15, kept 4 that had mutations and culled the rest. 2 had obvious color morphs, the others I havent found yet nor have I figured out the stats yet. 3 of them had almost 10k hp after imprint so Im going to start s line of battle ankys just for fun, lol This one got the green spikes And this one the metallic pink feet We plan on getting on for a few hours and I think we will start looking for a more permanent address before we have too much more to move, somewhat closer to red obi with atleast 85% wind
  13. Had a busy couple of days. Yesterday we had some hits and misses. Started off looking for a thorny dragon, but after 20 minutes of looking just started gathering wood by hand. While gathering we saw a 187 morellatops stuck so we decided to tranq it. Threw some mejos in it, set a timer, and continued gathering wood. Went back to it with a few minutes left just in time to see a raptor eat it After that we went in search of a carno. Spotted a 187 not far from our base. Started kiting it to my taming pen and my jerboa started crying about a sandstorm, so I had to kick in my raptors turbo to loose it then get to cover. After the storm the carno had vanished We were almost out of time at this point so we decided to build a well and lay down some crop plots. Today was a little better of a day. Started by gathering rare mushrooms so we can get some kangas tamed tomorrow. Then we went searching for another carno, but found a 187 sabre instead. Kited it to our pen, got it in and my jerboa started crying about a sandstorm, again. Luckily the sabre was still there after the storm. We tranqed it and threw some meat and salt in it. While the sabre was taming we decided to tame a moth, its lvl sucked but i figured we could use it for eggs incase they ever gained a use. While the moth was taming I gathered some chitin for the saddle, and came across a 150 event anklo(i think it was event, never saw the color before) So i kited it home and tranqed it and threw a tent over it. We also got some decent drops, best was an ascendent 87% kanga saddle bp Final thing for today I used the moth to get to the red obelisk so we could thow up a 1x1 hut with 2 beds so we could transfer servers quickly, then i went to the island and aberration to feed everyone. Boy do low lvl moths suck, had to land for stam 5 times each way and it wasnt that far away, lol Plans for this weekend are to tame carnos and a thorny dragon, then find a place to call home with high wind %. Tonight I hope to head to the island and hatch some anky eggs, we have 34 precooked so Im hoping theres a few with mutations Is this an event anky, or normal. Ive tamed a ton of ankys in my career and have never seen this color
  14. Lol, so use to having guns on the island and only tranqs loaded in my xbow, guess I should have been clued in when mine was doing 95 damage and my wife's only 35 and we both had primitive xbows
  15. Started out today doing some gathering and got our base to 2 walls high so large storage boxes dont stick out. Started looking for a thorny dragon because it just sucks gathering wood by hand. Didnt find a dragon but spotted a 210 raptor stuck along with a 37. I carefully took out the 37 then we tranqed the 210, threw meat on it and continued gathering. While gathering I got an ascendent sickle bp from a dig site which will be great until we tame a mega sloth. Next we crafted up some tranq arrows and narcotics and decided to try and tame a nearby lvl 52 parcer for a pack mule, but realized when it was completly bloody that I was shooting stone arrows and not tranqs So we killed it and used the meat to start making jerky. Before logging we spotted a 134 event parasaur (all white) so we tranqed it and tamed it. We need to start looking for a better base location. While this area has plenty of stone, sand, and cactus sap and is fairly safe, it has very few trees which really slows building. So tomorrow we may hop on the raptors and scout out a new spot thats still somewhat close to the red obelisk while also continuing to hunt for a thorny dragon and a good pair of carnos or sloths. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a chainsaw in a drop in the process
  16. Last night I went against my plan of bringing anything from the island to SE and brought over hide. We spent so much time grinding hide for rex saddles and was already getting sick of grinding for hide for saddles by hand on SE so I brought us enough to tie us over till we get a good combat dino. We expanded the base this morning to 3x4x1 and plan on making it 2 high. I think that will be our stopping point on this base and should hold us over untill we move closer to red obi. Next we built a small 2x5 taming pen. While we were building it I spotted a lone 135 raptor in the distance, but rather then risk getting pounced kiting it to the pen we bolaed it and tranqed it, then I threw a tent over it while we looked for meat. Tamed her up and named her Blue and got her back to base. We plan on lvling her in hp and speed so we can use her to kite dinos to the taming pen. Next we tamed 2 or 3 spare jerboas before logging out. Our next task is finishing the base, then getting a mate for blue. A high lvl thorny dragon is our next utility tame, getting wood by hand sucks when its so spread out. We also want to find a few carnos or megasloths to tame as our primary combat mounts. I think we are going to try and avoid flyers as much as possible and use kangas as fast pack mules. We do plan on eventually taming wyvrens but will be bringing them to the island
  17. @Aushegun the tickle chickens do harvest fiber, not sure the button on console but its right click on pc. Same button that allows ankys to harvest berries
  18. We didnt get to play yesterday but we did get an hour or so this morning. Started out making some tranq arrows then tranqed a 120 anky and 112 doed because the ones we tamed on Saturday were just too low a lvl for my liking. We threw mejos in them and continued hunting for more hide for saddles but for what ever reason the area was almost void of life. It was kind of erie. We were getting short on time so we switched gears to finish the small dino pen. Got it 1 wall high before logging off. The anky and doed shold be tamed by the time we get back on. Our plans are to continue gathering hide for the saddles and then build a small taming pen. We also want to get a combat dino soon, I think we are going try for carnos, just because we havent used them much in our years of playing ark. I probably should make my way to red obelisk or a beacon sometime in the next day or so so we can feed our island and aberration dinos and check on generators. We haven't been back since Friday
  19. Productive day on SE today. Base is now 3x3, we have a forge, smithy, and s+ crafting station. We also have a metal pic, hatchet and crossbow now. We tamed a low lvl anky and low level doed then spent the rest of our time gathering hide for saddles. A lot of jerboas died in the process We started working on a small 5x5 pen before having to log. No real misadventures today, ended up getting a jm scuba mask from a dig site, useless here but will be nice back on the island. We did run into a well hidden rock golem which scared the crap out of us. We were chasing a parasaur around some rock and boom there it was. Guess we didnt need that parasaur hide that bad, lol If I get time to play tomorrow (we have family visiting) we plan on making a bunch of tranq arrows and doing a bunch of taming after we make a taming pen. We will of course continue to expand the base, but not by a huge ammount. Once we get a good combat mount we plan on moving closer to the red obelisk and build a big base there
  20. Today we decided to hop over to Se after feeding all our dinos on the island. Went over naked for the challenge and spawned somewhat near red obelisk for ease of going back to the other maps. Spawn, start gathering to make a m&p and a carno in the distance spots me. I run, get him hung up and get away. Then i find my wife and we continue gathering to make adobe. Soon after mister carno pays a visit and we cant get away so we fight back with hatchets but he kills us both although he got pretty bloody before we died. We respawn, this time no threats in site so we start gathering for adobe. Wood/ thatch is kind of sparse so I start cautiously spreading out. I get to a small bunch of trees and look around for threats and start hacking. Next thing I know I'm poisoned by a flying bug. So i run but quickly run out of stam so I turn around a fight him with my hatchet (lvl 200 btw) and kill it, but then have his ground troops start fighting me. I manage to get away and loose them and finish harvesting the trees and get back to where we are setting up base. So now we have a 2x1x1 adobe hut built next to a water vein. Next we start gathering for making beds and the bug pack returns, so we slowly kite and kill them all with hatchets. All were 200+ so it took a while and we took a beating too. We take a few minutes to cook some meat to regain hp I then tame a jerboa and my wife grabs a green drop which has dessert cloth armor which we distribute between us. Right before logging for the day my wife notices a glowing dig site so I grab it and its a blue riot chest which is useless right now on SE but will be nice when we get back to the island. So plans this weekend are to get established on se and get gathering dinos tamed. If we can get a few beds made tonight I plan on leroying it to the red obelisk so we can hop back over to the island and start hatching some anky eggs for mutations. We already have a good dozen ready to hatch. I'm remembering now that the dessert is pretty brutal when starting out, even at lvl 94 when you start with nothing its still rough. But I absolutly love it, lol. My plan is to only take things from SE and not bring anything to SE, atleast not untill we get well established. Even then I have no plans to bring any dinos from the island to SE, not even dilos for anklo/doed kibble.
  21. Thank you I need to repaint some armor now, thats an older screenshot and Ive got ascendent legs and mc gloves since then So I ended up adding SE to my cluster Im going to head over there with my island toon naked and rough it for a while. Ill still take some time to work on my island base here and there too. I need to remember to feed my dinos and top off generators before we go though, bc it might be a few days before I can get to an obelisk to transfer back, lol We have a new goal now, tame atleast 1 of every dino before extinction comes out
  22. Today was a short day but we got started on phase 2. We started with a metal run, then started building the back wall with what metal we had. We should only need 2 sides made out of metal because the other 2 side are on a cliff so the wall is only to keep our dinos from running off the cliff. Tomorrow night we are going to start breeding ankys for color morphs. Plans for this weekend are to hopefully finish the wall and get the old base demolished. We also want to do more taming. Hopefully we can find a few decent tek rex to tame and Id like to find a 150+ mate for our kanga. I'm thinking of firing up an SE server for a change of pace while we wait for extinction to come out. Head over there with a naked toon and start with nothing.
  23. Black and red is actually the plan, its what I dye my armor When i actually get some time this week im going to start breeding anyks to try and get color morphs, plus to make battle ankys
  24. As promised here are some pics of today's tames
