  1. Yeah that could be a bit of a pain. If you go to the west side of the peninsula and walk north towards the Wyvern cove and stay along the beach with really one water crossing it's not so bad (I have to deal with behemoth gates from another base there but luckily have a transmitter and teleporter at this point.) may run into a Wyv or two but a decent Rex can handle them and then you might run into some Allo's and other Rex's on walk up to green ob but all you'll be doing is getting levels really. Alternatively you can fly west with your Rex on a Quetz platform and if you go to about center of bay before heading up to green ob and fly close to the ceiling, you usually bypass all the Wyv's. For my server it's the last good Rex spawn as both green ob and blue ob are built heavy so some of the Rex spawns have been killed but in your own world, blue ob and green ob produce many good Rex spawns and would be more convenient for transport. At green just be wary of the occasional Giga spawn.
  2. That whole peninsula is where I reside on official. Tons of useful dino's to tame. Rex, Allo's, Carno's, Saber's, Argy's, Anky's, Raptor's, Doedic's plus if raising a Wyvern it's easy to kite a female to a trap on the hill closest to the cove. My little slice of Ark heaven.
  3. Changed direction at the last moment this past weekend in Ark. I took a break from the breeding and despite no boosted rates decided I'd just harvest, tame a little, and just kind of play Ark lazily with no real direction in mind. It was both fun and frustrating at times. Tames; I don't remember all what i covered last time but i'm pretty sure I didn't have an Argy i just tamed. Was a 145 female. i dropped her on a rock and made use of the forcefield to protecte her which is a nifty little thing as long as you can place it. i put her down on the peninsula so no issues there. She had a pretty good hp so I figured either way it gives me a new female for my breeding program. She stood up with 4088 hp. My new unmutated high. I've been knocking out Megaloceros like crazy so I'm not sure which ones were covered. I think I have a new one to add which was another male that tamed out with 1400 stamina. Slightly better than what I currently had. So I currently have 2620 hp, 1400 stamina, and 378 melee to work with. I want 3k hp so am not going to start breeding until I get frustrated with the hunt or get it. Raises; Again I am not sure of everything i covered and am not focused enough to look over my past posts so I know i got a hp mutation on the Argy line from the 4015 hp which took it up to 4160 hp. I just stored him to the side for the time being, i think i did mention that. His red feet is what is left over from the christmas event colors. i pretty much was able to breed out the green and yellow and most hatch with the red feet and red wing tips. i like that look. I also did hatch a few more Argy eggs and came away with my new top male breeder. he pulled the 4015 hp, 1300 stamina and 768 weight. I hatched a few more eggs after he finished and was bred but still no weight mutations. Most of the rest of my time was spent harvesting resources and promptly using those resources, lol. I built 10 metal behemoth sets with no plans to use them. 25 stone behemoth sets. 200 metal ceilings. 150 metal walls. 200 metal pillars. I harvested 2k crystal. Spent probably 80k ings which I replaced almost immediately. Harvested about 7k obsidian, converted only some of that over to poly since when I went to run the beaver dams they were already harvested. Filled a vault full of wood, stone, thatch. It really was fun though. no real direction. Just me and my dino's of choice taking in the landscapes. i even bought a few dino's, something i normally don't do. i like my dino's but an ally of mine was looking for metal structures, what luck, and had some nice statted and mutated ravagers for sale. I bought one from him and pumped it up to 2500 weight. I now walk around obsidian island with the Ravager in one crab claw and the Anky in the other and in 3 trips I'll clear every node. I'll teleport the Anky back to base and dump it off in that forge until it is filled then place the rest of the metal in the forge at ob island. I'll bring CP out to ob island and empty the Ravager in there. I haven't taken the ravager out to help harvest crystal yet but with the TLC upcoming for PS4, I can't wait to grab an Anky and a Ravager on my almost 4k weight Argy and just stockpile whenever I want to. We ran a few fights as well including Monkey Alpha to give our allies the rest of the tekgrams and Rag Alpha to farm a little more element. I can't speak highly enough about how well we all work together and support each other. We also decided to run the Skylord side of the labryinth and that was a bot if a bungle. 4 of us went in but only 2 of us emerged. (this would have been a lot angrier yesterday which is why I did not write) While doing the lab a lag spike dropped my one buddy in a spike pit killing him. I went to get his stuff (full tek suit, 280 long neck, 290 shotty, 200 element, just a bunch of stuff) and his body just disappeared. No bag. Big loss from a game glitch. Our other buddy who died faced the same fate though not as big of item losses. lag spike and he fell into a spike pit. The Skylord never respawned despite waiting about 15 minutes after the last surviving ally grabbed it. Rest of the run went smoothly, we both got a massive and devious but that 1st part was real crappy. The next part was extremely irritating. I woke up the next morning and my buddy who lost all that good shot was on. I told him I'd bring the BP's we've been using so he could grind during the day, jump on his crafter, and replace his items. i teleport over and he's waiting for me. after everything renders i drop a bag, always drop a bag because Ark likes to eat stuff, but lo and behold Ark ate my bag. Just gone. i checked inventory, checked underneath teleporter. Teleported back to base hoping to render it in and be able to grab it but nothing. just gone. 252 ASC shotgun BP. 226 JM Shotgun BP. 247 ASC sword BP. The biggest loss though was the 252 Long neck BP. I have a 247 MC Shotty BP yet. I have a 251 ASC Sword BP as well as a few other 230+ sword BP's yet but I have no other long neck bp much less one of that quality. I hit share and save as video but haven't looked over it to see if it caught the moment so i can file a ticket. I've been looking hard to trade for a 240+ bp since, all of one day, lol. No hits yet though an old trade partner did find a 232 bp for trade. It's close but with what I'd be willing to trade I want a higher tier or that 232 to be MC cost. Freaking Ark. on the docket; I will resume the Yuty and Quetzal hatching as well as Argy this week. I also was given a 14k hp 461 melee Rex egg. though I probably don't need additional Rex's, I'll hatch and raise it. Hopefully it's a male and I'll replace it as my top breeder. I'm also going to keep grinding as I love to make the tek stuff and play around. I am currently in the midst of designing Atlantis. I hate building but I'm going to try my best to make something awesome for an underwater base. That is a very long term project though. Until next week.
  4. This week in Ark It was at times a trying week but i think it was because i was a bit ill so the grind part was annoying me. i felt a bunch better yesterday and the grind part was enjoyable. Lol. lot of good stuff happened though. Tames; So I decided not to do Megatheriums. I was knocking them out and I suddenly realized they are primarily used for the Alpha Broodmother but I've already done the Alpha Broodmother. It's a not a fight we'd continuously farm when the Monkey gives more element and is easier so I decided to put that project away and have changed directions to something fun and easy. Megaloceros. Megaloceros have a lot of attributes that people don't realize. Good for both caves and the Dragon boss and maybe even the Ragnarok fight. They have a higher base hp than sabers, base damage in line with sabers, ravagers, allo's, and wolves. Easily obtainable high end saddles (i have a 100.2). Veggie cake heal. They also are real good to cut down onyc's and dimoprh's before they get to you. I began the hunt this weekend and have walked away with a few decent stats. 2620 hp, 1372 stamina, 378 melee. I'll keep looking around for higher stats (know I can find a better stamina as that pre-tame stamina was 1148 so I only got 8 levels added) and want a high weight stat (currently sit at 347). Still it's a nice start. I am going to have to invest in some more dimorph kibble though. Otherwise I didn't tame too much of anything. I knocked out a few dino's here and there but wanted to keep my focus on the deer. Raises; Some big successes here this week. Some humor too. A couple posts back I said I need to avoid the distractions that are tapes.Ii had 2 tapes at that moment. 6 tapes later with 2 eggs to hatch, I am weak. lol. I was gifted a tape egg in a trade so I hatched it. What a beauty. 3.1k hp, 434 melee at hatch. The event tape I knocked out has 675 base stamina and I have my first tape which has 3.1k hp and 525 base weight. I'ma have a bad Tappy when it's all together. Hatched several Yuty, Quetz, Theri, and Argy eggs. None of the Yuty's got a combo or stat I was looking for. Two of the Theri's got a stat combination. They now sit at 9.2k hp, 1710 stamina, 408 melee. They were at 67% this morning. I finally got a mutation on the Argy's but it was health. 4161 hp. I decided to keep him, raise him, and then put him off to the side since I do want to mutate hp eventually. I won't keep any other hp mutations though. Still nothing on weight. My biggest success was in the forms of Quetzal though. 3 different mutations. 2 were food mutations but came with color. The last was that weight mutation I've been yearning for. 1680 from 1648. Female so a bit more breeding when she is done to get it to a male so I can make him my new main breeder. I was very excited to get that. The goal to 2k hatch weight is now one mutation closer. The entire line only has that 1 mutation too so got quite a few open spots yet. The Quetzal's were at 49% when I came to work today. Boss fights; We decided to a double header. We'd been lax on the fights a little so my allies were in desperate need of element. One ally loss 2 Rex's and our Yuty took a beating but overall it wasn't bad fights. The technique is sound as long as they can get their Rex's moving and out of that first fireball's way. My tank Rex's can easily handle the Golem's for the duration as they never lose more than 10k hp. I just need to get the guys on board with the Theri's and I think we'll end the fight even faster. 270 element from the two fights so I finally decided to play a little. I built two teleporters, a forcefield, a generator, and a vac compartment moonpool. That last one has little purpose other than to have, lol. I still need to make some tek behemoths. The teleporter's are amazing. I can teleport to my allies bases and them to mine if set to public. I can bring people with who don't even have the tekgram if allied at least (have to try it with a non allied person). I set one up at the obsidian island base and placed a forge next to the one at the home base. I can now overload my anky using the weight wyv/quetz and then teleport back to my home base and drop the metal right in that forge which is right next to the tek replicator and some vaults instead of transporting back a ton of ingots. My allies each put one at their bases and one out at my allies desert metal base. My favorite tek item to date. On the docket; I plan on continuing to hatch and look for color combo's/stat mutes on the Yuty's. Stat mutes on the Quetzal and Argy's. Continue hunting for the best non mutated base stats on Megaloceros', and I'm sure run some more boss fights. I am going to try and plead with my allies to finally face the lava golem too. I have 150 rockets that need to explode. Until next week.
  5. No but there are Giga's and Deathworm's occasionally and an abundance of mantis', centipedes, scorpions, boas, and vultures. It can get hot too. Pretty straight forward line for the deep desert drops. You do get weather effects if in the section closest to the wyvern cove (that sections middle has one drop). The only real weather effect though is sandstorm in that section. The biggest worry is a sneaky mantis springing at you so just be careful when in the area. You'll see any Giga's with enough time.
  6. Desert drops drop them pretty frequently both pre-made and bp's. I have about 6 ASC BP's and all my Queztal's (5) have ASC Platform BP's but I haven't made one myself. All pulled from drops.
  7. With such low weight you are probably better off hitting in the area of 75 47 (hill top here has a few crystal nodes) and 64 60 (hill top here). from personal experience you'll have some bugs and Theri's to deal with at 75 47 but they are rarely on top of the hill. You could also hit a few nodes right in the beginning of the hunter artifact cave 80 53. they are right in the entrance before you get to the nasties. Again some Theri's, Troodons (so no go at night) and maybe a Carno biggest obstacles but for a quick hit it'll at least save you some time until you get a higher weight bird to make the trip to the Volcano worth it. I also see you posting, so just so you know there is a post limit on your first couple of days. So if you hit it don't fret, come back tomorrow and keep posting meaningful content and you'll get out of early bird soon enough.
  8. All points should go into melee and the percentage is of their base damage. giga base damage is 1000 so 45% of that rex base damage is 62 so you need 726% to equal your giga currently phiomia base damage is 10, I'm not even doing this math That being said, it is a bit of a worthless tame at that level but really it is still very strong and will be alright for simple meat runs in the swamp. Just don't use it to fight other giga's, titans, alpha's, and avoid kentro's with it else it will rage and eat you.
  9. Quick blurb; We ran the Alpha Rag fight last night. Mixed results. The technique for drawing the Golem's when they popped up was great. I discussed with my allies how/where to move their Rex's as I moved by with the tanks to grab them up. So that worked fairly well. My ally did lose a Rex. Rex's got stuck on themselves and he took a direct impact from the dragon. It's Alpha level and even with reduced impact damage, the DOT attack after significantly hurt his Rex. I don't know if it was a Golem pop or a Griffin hit that did that Rex in. My tank Rex's performed great. 12k hp loss on the one I rode, 18k loss on the unridden one. No Yuty buff this time. I told my tribe mate to stay with the group. 116 armor saddles, mate boosted, 100% imprint. 40k hp. It works. Same as before I stayed on the edge, no harassment from anything. I just sat there and fired off rounds at the Dragon and then the Manticore. The only time the Manticore messed with me was after I pulled all the Golem's. Think we have the dino's, resources, and know how to farm Alpha rag now as an alliance which is significant with the amount of element we get from that. I think a few more fights and we can start selling the fight. It's highly sought after for the tek transmitter and to a lesser degree the transporter unlock. Edit: Forgot to mention a new milestone. My tanks took down two of the Golem's this time. They still have level's to go and sit 647 percent melee in addition to the 40k hp. They'll hit 700 soon enough. Just thought that was neat since I've wanted to kill a Golem in the fight.
  10. This week in Ark was weird. I did a lot, had a lot of hunts and adventures but overall it doesn't seem like it based upon what I brought back to the base. Raises; I had an extended break over Easter only going to work one day so my plan was raised centric. I don't care about having pretty dino colors more than stats so knowing a tame cap was coming at some point I did my normal wake up early and get my eggs hatched. I do that because Quetz's and Yuty's are 18 hour baby timers too so I like to get a jump on things. Most of the hatches were not good enough to keep around but I did find a few. The Quetz is a male with the food mutation that i can now pair with the female. I will breed them 10 to 12 times and then see if i can't auction him off since he's a muted Quetzal with awesome stats. The yellow bird with pink crown was an egg I traded for. Not great stats but I wanted that pink to add into my yellow bird/blue limb. The egg popped a female so going to be some extensive cross over since the yellow/blue line is also both females. The yellow crown is a new mutation on my line. Food mutation. Hatched with the 9900 hp (instead of the 10.3k hp) and the 2184 stam, and 331 melee. Both of those are a blander yellow than I currently have so I'll give it a shot into the yellow/blue line but I think it'll look bad however I believe that yellow into the blue fur line will look pretty nice. All of these were at 61% when I came to work today. I also hatched several Theri eggs but no stats mutations on mine, however I did finally hatch the 408 melee eggs from the trade for the boss run 2 weeks ago. They both popped male with the 9.2k hp, 408 melee. That works out well since the 1710 stamina is on 2 females. They were at 96% when I came to work. They'll be done by the time I get off and I'll start breeding them right away for a Sunday hatching. I am raising a Quetz for a trade so I'll be up for it anyway. I hatched a lot more but got no Quetzal weight mutations, no other Yuty or Theri mutations and still haven't got an Argy male with the 1300 stamina 768 weight combination or any weight mutation, no mutations at all actually. I'll keep breeding to stockpile some more eggs for another Sunday go around in all these. Tames; The Easter event (still going on) was a big success for a lot of people. Very cool combo colors. I did get out and I have K.O.'d a bunch of dino's but I look for specific stats on most of the tames so didn't tame a lot even when the cap was available to do so. I did spot a lot for my allies to tame and helped them out some. They also go for high levels and are very active in the trade market. Personal tame wise I did grab a 145 event mammoth. I needed a mammoth for the main base so I figured I might as well get one with some color. I'm not going to breed mammoth's so strictly a utility tame. I also tamed up a 140 event terror bird. I replaced one of my current terror bird eggers with this one to add a little more color to my kibbler's. I may go out the rest of this week and find replacements for my current egg tames just to add a little color in the base. I also did a lot of Megatherium hunting both event and non-event. In a 3 day period I probably knocked out 20 130+ Megatheriums but it was my first one that made the cut. She tamed out with 325 melee. The male has 6.3k hp. There are certainly better stats out there but it's a nice start to the Megatherium line. The rest didn't have pre-tame stats I was looking for so I just ate them. I knocked out probably as many 140+ Megaloceros. I kind of want to breed a nice line but am very specific that I won't tame unless it has 2500 pre-tame hp. That is 36 points and I think a strong base line. I also tamed a 150 event rhino. That was a gift for my one ally. I was actually on my way to a 150 Yuty when I came across it. It was on a cliff side bordering the snow and desert. I placed some large bear traps but it kept running right by them, and gored me off the ledge. I was on very little hp but it got stuck in a crevice so was able to put it down. My other allies have a base right there so they came and picked me up and took me up to my Wyv. The rhino tamed out alright. 307 melee. Nothing phenomenal but my ally liked it. He immediately went out and found a female 145 event Rhino and that thing was sick. Tamed out with 4.6k hp and 370 melee. Nice colorful mating pair there. I did lose the Yuty to some wolves. They are so stupid. I tried to help but every time I got close to bite a wolf the Yuty would focus on me and the wolves would get in some shots so finally I backed away but it got overwhelmed. Finally I K.O.'d several Yuty's and found one to tame. A 150 male, non-event. I led it to a trap at our mountain base so an easy tame. When it stood up it had 351 melee. Yay! A new stat to breed in. I already mated it with my females with 10.3k hp, 2184 stamina and 331 melee. Once it gets transferred over it'll condense a mutation side as well. I'll breed them up a few more times and hatch all of them on Sunday to see what we get. Randomness; So i did a few builds this time off as well. I am not a builder but some things need to get done. i finally constructed one of our new Golem traps. The gates have been placed for awhile but I never built the cannon platform. I went over to our original trap and snapped some SS to replicate it. I built it up but the cannon was sticking out to far, then when I got it where I thought it would be protected it still took damage from the Golem. So I built an additional protection extension but now the Golem doesn't keep aggro. I built something to house a small tame hoping to keep the Golem's aggro but that didn't work either. I may just need to resign myself to replacing the cannon every few tames if I want to try and solo tame Golem's. I also added an enclosure to half of my Rex barn. The Rex barn doubles as a Wyvern trap and while I feel I am done with raising Wyvern's, that could always change so I decided to keep that intact. I killed off most of my breeding Rex's so to reduce clutter at the main base down the hill I moved the Yuty's up to the barn and didn't have the same confidence to leave them out in the open for Wyvern's to attack. Moving the Yuty's did help lag in my main base and it gives me a nice area to breed them in now. That was a simple build. I just built the walls up higher, placed a roof, and added a behemoth gate in the center to be able to walk the Rex's out to tank Wyvern's if I need to. I didn't get done a lot of the things I planned on. My tribe mate stayed almost exclusively on Abb during the event with his new tribe mate over there. One of my allies on Rag had a tribe mate just starting on Abb so they teamed up and they got a lot done. A lot of high level tames, event tames, and an amazing 9.8k hp Megalosaurus tame. That's an awesome male to have and I think they'll want to use Mega's to eventually fight Rockwell. I feel hopeful for the base game with some of the improvements announced/implemented so it may get to the point that I finally buy Abb and it'll be nice to have an established set up if it ever gets to that point. We didn't run any boss fights. We had plans to last night but then the update hit and some people had crazy download times plus the one guys internet was acting up all day. We're all pretty good on element to keep things running for a few days but they need a fight since they build more with element than I have so far. We'll get it done in the next couple days. So my results this week are a bit torn. I had fun. I never really got bored. It was very nice having that open ability once the babies were eating out of troughs but I didn't get done everything I set out to and i missed my tribe mate a bit. My old tribe mate did reach out to me finally. It was good hearing from him. He wanted to know if i was looking at Conan coming up. I heard some things about it so I went to YouTube to watch a few video's. Eh. No dinosaurs. lol. I did tell him I'll set up a boss fight if he wants to jump on and at least experience it since he never got a chance. I shared some of the stuff we've done and then we went back to our things. I liked playing with him so I may get Conan just to play with him but Ark is the focus. On the docket; Boss fights, continue looking for wild stats for my current lines, and a few raises. Standard arkage. Until next week.
  11. Good if not kind of boring days this weekend in Ark though I did get a lot accomplished. Boss Fight: We ran and completed the Alpha Ragnarok fight this weekend. No losses. Big success. We had tested the fight strategy on beta, not sure if i covered that, and felt good enough to try it for real. Strategy: We split dino's between 3 tribes. I supply 7 including the Yuty normally. I supplied 7 but unclaimed two to each tribe to control. My tribe mate runs the Yuty and is a master at it. Also found that a higher food stat is good for a Yuty. It drains a lot when using it's roar. So I ran two mate boosted tank Rex's. 40k hp, 116 armor saddles. Initial salvo/Dragon fight. I stayed on the edge of arena and peppered the Dragon with an assault rifle. It made a big difference as you could see the hp just melt off its bar. With DOT damage it makes sense to keep the higher hp Rex's out of his fire. Then I turned my attention to the Manticore. staying on the edge i wasn't harassed by Dimoprh's, Ptera's or Griffins. Once the Golem's spawned in I went to work. I drug the tank Rex's around the arena eating rare flowers to bring the Golem's with me. I pulled all 6 of them over the hill into the River and just occupied them while my allies/tribe mate focused on the Manticore. Worked like a charm. Biggest thing was the infrequency of the Manticore's landing (perhaps a code that reduces potential times it will land is what makes it Alpha) but we still finished with about 14 minutes in the arena time. I now have all normal Ark tekgrams unlocked. Now I should stop hoarding that element and use some of it. lol. Rex program: With the completion of the Alpha fight and knowing the Rex's I have was plenty I shut down the Rex program. I killed off 16 breeders/mutation Rex's. I still have 19 fighters on rag, 15 fighters on the island, the main male breeder, the clean male breeder, and two clean female breeders as well as 3 bodyguard Rex's, and a fridge full of clean/potential top stat Rex eggs. I will be turning my attention to finishing up the Theri army and beginning the Megatherium project. Tames: Just a few things but nothing of signifigance. I ran around looking hard for Megatheriums for 2 days now. I've knocked out several but haven't found one to tame yet. I have found a new love for giant bear traps as taming tools though. Surprisingly all the sloth areas have space enough (lack of pillars) to lay down a few. I usually stack 6 or 7 in an area, dart the sloth (or bear or Yuty) into coming at me and getting constantly stuck and dart them enough that they turn and high tail it before they even get to me initially. i need to figure out something for the chase as i did lose a 145 bear in redwood (i found him 6 hours later and finished knocking him out. garbage) and a 130 sloth (I was desperate for a decent level after 2 hours of killing 85's and lowers) over by the beaver dams between viking bay and the canyon. That 130 was irksome because I had led it into a full enclosed trap by a small outpost i have there so i am not sure how it got out. i redesigned the trap afterwards so hopefully it works right next time. I did tame two 140 frogs, male and female. Nothing too great but I wanted another method to get CP. Frogs are fun. in a moment of leisure last night i hopped around with one that had 315 melee (at the time) and knocked out 3 Scorpions and a Raptor as well as had a Megalodon on the run until I killed it. Frog does too much damage to knock out a Saber though. I don't see me using it as a normal taming mount but it's just fun to hop around sometimes. I won't be using it like that once the raptor TLC hits though. I also knocked out a 150 Baryonyx. I didn't tame it as it didn't have good stats but they are still on the list of dino's to tame and I considered taming it just for that reason. in the end lack of the proper kibble kept me from doing it which is fine as it I had already deviated with the frogs. I need to bring back up my list of dino's yet to tame but it has to be around 30 left at this point. Raising: It was hatch day! That's a bit sloppy looking but I think the gist is gotten. i hatched a ton of Quetzal, Yuty, Argy, and a few Theri eggs. No Quetzal's or Argy's got what I was looking for (Argy parameters are a male with the 1300 stamina and 768 weight or a weight mutation, Quetzal is a stamina or weight mutation) and most of the Yuty's followed suit as well. I only hatched Theri eggs from the top male and the 1710 stamina female (wild tame) I acquired in a trade. I kept a Theri that got the 1710 stamina, it missed on the hp but it got a melee mutation. I now have 408 melee to breed into the line (I made a deal to acquire some 408 eggs as well. i'll hatch those tomorrow morning). Theri was at 75% when I came into work this morning. Yuty wise, I finally got the color combo with the stats I was looking for. This is an interesting story as well. So the Yuty with the white stripe/crest was from the Yellow Yuty I traded for a bit ago. It's essentially no longer my line. Bittersweet but i really wanted the colors on this one. The Yuty with the reddish brown stripe/crest is fro m my own line and it's own natural yellow mutation. It got a food mutation. This means I have the colors I seek and my own line still viable. That is great. Both are females so now I need to breed for a male. Yuty's currently stand at 10.3k hp, 2184 stamina, 331 melee and were at 49% when I came to work. Trades: I finally found someone with a pink stripe for the Yuty's. I traded a blue egg I received in a different trade. I'll reach out to her to make sure it hatches as promise and will give her my current full grown blue male if it is not. I have several eggs from him as it stands and while it looks nice I'm not overly concerned with having a blue line (lot of blue lines on the market). That is mostly it. I am set up to replace the eggs from the stamina Theri trade last week. She hatched them and for some reason they starved. She's going to give me a very nice white/gray combo egg as well as a cyan feather egg (region 0). I did some small on server trades in the form of BP's. I need to put those on the market here. I am also going to look for a few other stripe and face colors for the Yuty line. I want to try a few out though I think the pink will be killer. On the Docket; One day of work this week. Tomorrow morning I will hatch some more Quetz, Yuty, and Argy eggs as well as the 408 melee Theri eggs. I'll continue my Megatherium hunt. I will introduce my tribe mate to the island and the Megapithecus fight, some more Rag fights, and maybe start talking to my allies about an Ascension run. See ya next week.
  12. Quick boss fight last night. Beta rag. Introduced a starting line up of 5 Theri's (21k hp, 700+ melee, 122+ saddles, 10 veggie cakes in each inventory) 1 Rex (30k hp, 811 melee, 106 armor saddle), and I rode the Yuty (40k hp, 3700 stamina, 98 saddle). My allies filled in with the rest of the Rex's (30k to 40 k hp, 600+ melee). Yuty got stuck in a building in the beginning so that initial hit by the dragon did a great deal of damage to my allies Rex's with no damage resistance buff. The Dragon seems to be landing further away. I think we may need to exercise a bit more patience and let it come further into the center before rushing it. Think we should take that time to spread out around it to maximize DPS given. Once the Yuty was unstuck we put the Dragon down fairly fast with one of my Theri's getting the kill. Manticore got hurt quick in the fight and was on 2 bite health flying for a large majority of the fight. That extended time in air cost my ally one rex who got stuck on the Golem's. i parked my Yuty right there and consistently buffed him hoping the Manticore would land and they'd get the kill before it died but it was not to happen. Still even with a Rex loss the fight went much smoother than the previous couple. Theri highlights; All of them finished with less than 1k hp lost during the fight. 1 to 2 veggie cakes consumed by them. Yuty didn't even lose 1 k hp, Rex lost about 17k. He didn't really tangle with the Golem's too much so think that was probably caused mostly by initial Dragon salvo. One of my favorite moments was the Manticore landed behind a group of Golem's. I whistled in my attack group as did the other's. Most of the Rex's got stuck on the Golem's but with their lower height the Theri's scooted right on by and got some solid hits on the Manticore before he took off again. Good fight and I should have even better Theri's in the next 2 weeks or so. Should do another fight this Saturday. Sunday is dedicated to hatching/raising but then it's my turn to host the fight and it will be the Alpha test run. 3 melee Rex, 2 tank Rex, Yuty, and a regular Rex (probably the one I used last night since he also has 800+ melee).
  13. I have a bigger beard, slightly more hair, and no glasses but other than that....
  14. Lol. I have no healthy social life though. Don't be me. Be better.
  15. It was a grind type of weekend trying to take full advantage of the extended 2x harvest. Tek troughs are amazing. Through the entire last raise (4 Quetzal, 1 yuty, 2 Argy, 5 Rex, 5 Theri) I basically cycled through two troughs for the meat eaters. I have 9 Tek troughs and so i filled all of them but really on replaced meat in the two preferred by the raises. That's 4000 meat but with leveling dino's and just daily excursions around the preserve it just naturally gets filled up. I hit the farming hard over the 2x, completed several trades, ran more boss fights, and did a few tames. Tames; I dropped about 5 140+ Argy's over a 2 day period. I tamed 2 of them up to add to my stable of females (I have 7 right now). I decided to jump start that program. I took the 4k hp 768 weight male I just finished and he will be my new stud. He only has one mutation in his gene pool. One of the new tamed females ended up with 1300 stamina so that'll be a new stamina I breed in. I am going looking to maximize weight as I feel my other base stats while not the best on the market are pretty good (4015 hp, 1280 now 1300 stamina, 408 melee). So based on those prerequisites I will be keeping only a male that acquires both the weight and stamina or a male that gets a weight mutation. Then I'll replace him as my new stud. I tamed up a 145 male Quetzal. 41 points in oxygen pre-tame but at half cost and time I decided to tame it up anyway and see if RNG was favorable. Super easy to knock out with Griffins. It tamed out as a solid but non spectacular Quetzal (9.1k hp, 2k stam, 1312 weight). Oh and it's oxygen only went to 900 from 725. We'll keep him at the Redwood base and fly the Anky over there up to the crystal cave under the lake with him. I bypassed a few other dino's I probably would have tamed if I wasn't in farming mode. A 140 female Tape (low on Allo kibble anyway) and a 140 female Megatherium. Tapes are a distraction I just need to avoid to be honest, lol. Megatheriums are on the to do list but I'm not there yet. Farming: This is a boring subject matter but I figure I'll touch on it. They have black pearl nodes like silica pearl nodes on Ragnarok so I was going to take the Basil's out and farm them then decided I was going to take the motorboat instead. Got geared up and took the boat out. Dove down and fought off manta's and sharks, then grabbed some black pearls, repeat. I noticed when I reached the end of the line i was right next to obsidian island so I popped over and took the Thorny and Anky train around the island and cleared that. I got enough metal that one Anky was still sitting at 1400 weight of metal on it when I left the island with the forge full and burning. Then I went back to the base and farmed the black pearl nodes which had respawned. think it took my 2 hours round trip. 600 black pearls and about 7500 ings. Not too shabby. other than that I hit crystal a few times out by our desert base. 2 small caverns with a healthy amount of crystal near by so i took the weight Wyvern over and farmed those 6 times during the event. I also took the weight Wyvern up to the charcoal trees at the volcano. he's got 2400 weight so gliding around wing flapping I got him to about 1700 weight of charcoal. I took the 1500 weight mantis around the river beds and just smashed up flint and stone (287 damage pick axes) and it really does make just about the right ratio for sparkpowder. ended up making about a vault and a half of gunpowder. Took that back to the main base and made some rockets as we continue to prep to take on the lava golem. I didn't have enough crystal as it was all out at the desert base though. I'll lug that over to the main base sometime this week though I do have a trade set up that should net me 6k crystal soon. Trades/Boss fights; Shipped off the breeding pair of Quetzal's I just finished for two full Ragnarok artifact sets. Shipped off the other Quetzal for 6k advanced rifle ammo. Had an old trade buddy from legacy hit me up about quetzal eggs. We've done a few trades. I gave him a discount and sold him two eggs for 400 black pearls. Another guy that I traded a quetz egg too had misfortune (tribemate didn't get on to cover his shift so it died) so hit me up about another one. I was going to hold the rest of my eggs but decided to peel one off from him with the caveat that if it gets a stamina or weight mutation he lets me know so i can get a few eggs to try and breed it back into my line. I got 6 artifacts for that. That puts me at 120 artifacts. 5 of them full Ragnarok sets. I also ran a guy and his girlfriend who moved from our server through the beta rag fight. He mostly resides on SE now but maintains an outpost over on rag. He actually came onto server looking for Theri hp so i let him know what my Theri's were at. he has the same HP but 408 melee. I asked him what he would need for that melee. So we came to the beta fight run through for two eggs. They brought their own Rex and he also gave me a ton of his trophies and artifacts he had collected (SE has it's own trophies) since he had no need for them. i hosted that fight since I was getting the trade out of it and so my allies came a long to throw some additional melee and get some element. Good deal all around. The fight itself was a bit of a cluster. Manticore was being an extreme pain in the butt with doing fake landings. I got one Rex that got stuck on the Golem's and trying to make sure my two guests stayed safe (they have good stuff but first time fight) was a lot of extra stuff to work around. The fight was a little longer and we stilled finished with about 15 minutes left on the timer. So success. Not something i look to do a lot of though. The rex that got stuck on the Golem finished with 946 hp from 30k hp wearing a 104 armor saddle. Lol. I had put a call out to improve on my Theri stats both here and on FB. One guy said he had 9.7k hp but was only rolling with 361 melee so I offered him a 1470 stamina, 396 melee egg for a 9.7k hp egg but I never heard back from him. Another girl had a wild tamed with 1710 stamina. We negotiated and I gave her two of my full stats eggs (one purple skin and one cyan skin with the red crown) for the full grown female. it helps me on two levels as it'll give me a stamina increase as well as give me an un-mutated female which is something I am looking for as well. She also has a cyan crown so she is going to work on getting a full cyan Theri. She also has decent Ravagers so I may have found a new trade partner for future projects. I also have a line on some 419 hatch melee. That is from the legacy trade partner I traded the Quetz eggs too. They are working on getting it guaranteed. I have a few additional trades set up for some crystal. We did run another boss fight as well but again only beta. Leveling; I got my new melee Rex's (20k hp, 860+ melee) and tank Rex's leveled (40k hp, 600+ melee) as well as a few of my regular rex's (30k hp, 700+ melee) and 5 of the 7 Theri's (21k hp, 700+ melee). I used a combo of killing Wyvern's and when my tribe mate was on running grinders/making narcotics. He needs 4 more levels to get to 90 so he can run Alpha anyway. He is a really good Yuty driver. Definitely want him around for that. All the rex's are leveled to about 15k xp when they reach the stats i am looking for so a lot more growth to be had. The plan is to run the scenario through the gamma fight to get actions down and then test it on beta to determine how the Rex's and/or Theri's fair and if that looks good then we'll employ it against Alpha. As of right now The plan is to ride a tank Rex and have the other with me as well. 111 and 108 saddles on them. The melee Rex's have two 116 saddles and a 112 saddle. I will unclaim them and one normal Rex to my allies to command. Send in everybody but the tank Rex's onto the Dragon. I'll keep the tank Rex's on the outskirt and mostly focus on killing dimorph's and ptera's and if able adding additional dps with an assault rifle. Once dragon is down, I'll work on Manticore until Griffins pop (think I may run 400+ armor, 500 durability riot gear for the alpha fight) and the Golem's. Then I am going to eat rare flowers and pull all the Golem's to me and my mate boosted tanks, while the rest of the team takes down the Manticore. In my mind it seems clean so we'll have to see it in action. On the docket: A lot of hatching as I turn on my Yuty, Argy, and Quetzal projects. Maybe do a few Theri's too as I try to get that new stam on the current line. Definitely more boss fights and probably a few smaller trades. Until next week.
  16. It's quite dark compared to other Marvel projects. It's a harrowing story that just happens to involve super powered individuals. As long as you can accept that these powers could exist I think you'd enjoy just for the story itself.
  17. Impromptu boss fight last night. I get home and my alliance members ask if i want to run one. I check my raises troughs and I love when dino's go adolescent. Only one trough (they are tek troughs) is empty despite 4 Quetzal's and a Yuty raising. That means i don't need to go on a meat run since I still have back up meat in the fridges. I tell them yeah I'll run. I ask if someone else can run a Yuty tonight as I want to introduce a Theri or two into the fight. one Theri was ready. 21k hp, 700+ melee but the other Theri was at 21k hp with 691 melee. I ran it around the preserve a little but didn't get enough xp for another level. I did run a Rex around that was on the brink and got him a level to get him to 700+ melee. So I sat the Cyan 414 melee lady out of this fight and brought in the Theri and the new Rex. No losses in the fight, but quite a few dino's beat up. Tank Rex's are definitely going to be needed for Alpha. No way these Rex's can fight those Golem's and survive. The rag fight takes a certain skill set the other fights lack so i do appreciate them. Dragon did get my Theri down to about 1/2 hp when i was right underneath it but I was able to back out, force feed it one cake and then pop back in and got the kill. So much more maneuverability on a Theri. i did get blasted by a dimorph once, all the rex's were on passive at the time so a quick neutral whistle ended that but then you need to remember to whistle passive again once the Golem's pop up else they will go after them and that's how they get stuck and beat up on them. It's a back and forth with that because you're whistling attack target when the mantiocre lands then backing out and patrolling the edge of the arena waiting for the manticore to land again. Riding a Theri's biggest draw back i can see is more likely to get hit by Dimorph's (may need to up my armor. I run high end Ghillie right now but maybe some of my riot gear with a calien soup is a better idea. i'll test it in a fight) and i don't feel particularly safe jumping off to shoot the manticore between his devestating torpor attack, a griffin hitting me, or an errant rock throw. On the back of the rex, i feel since you stand on his back it probably suits you better to being able to remount. One of my rex's also got the manticore kill in this fight. 65 more element for the vault. I'll probably start making my own tek behemoth's soon to add to the flyer barn if we keep doing a few boss runs each week. Then down the road i think I may build an underwater base using the Vacuum compartments. After the fight I did a quick meat run just to top off the one trough that was empty. I loaded up some items for my island server including the Rex BP. I need to farm hide on that side. I loaded up some hide on Rag and that was a pain. Only enough slots for one saddle at a time. I also loaded up 3 more Rex's to take there. I think I'll take 15 total Rex's over there. I don't plan on running more than Beta monkey fight at most. That's good element and my Rex's have the stats and saddle to be able to handle that. I ended up calling it a bit of an early night (I am a marvel diehard and am trying to finish the new season of Jessica Jones which is my favorite Netflix series. Action goes to Daredevil, Brutality to Punisher, but Jessica Jones is by far the best storyline). I logged this morning mated the Yuty's (been slacking on mating and stockpiling eggs while raising and running fights), imprinted the Theri's which will finish up this morning (93%, suitable) and quetzal's, ran the desert drops (only 2 and only stuff for the grinder) then hopped to my island server to place a fert Anky egg in the fridge for my buddy over there. i forgot I left it in the argy last night so didn't want it spoiling (wasn't sure on spoilage time). Tonight I think 2x will be going when I get off work so meat grind, Argy mating, Argy hunting will be on the docket. I think I'll pop all the Argy eggs I have tomorrow after work and see if I get the final stat combination. If I do and it's a female it'll give me a chance, by hatching them tomorrow, to hatch the next set when she finishes up before I go back to work and try to get an all stat male to breed. Then again, maybe they want to run another boss fight and I'm not going to say no to that. lol
  18. A good breeding weekend in Ark this week. Officials have a long 2x tame/harvest/xp event coming up so this works out perfectly. I plan on getting a lot of grinding going and starting on my Megatherium project. Trades: Low key weekend in trades. I pulled back from the trade market slightly. I did have one great trade with a member of this community and his tribe mate. got some very nice BP's including a 101 Spino saddle and a 247 MC pump shotgun. That damage for that cost is great. These guys hit the caves hard. They got two of my Quetzal eggs (9996 hp, 2400 stam, 1648 weight) and got twin females from the first egg. They also put down a 150 male with 2600 stamina so I expect that'll be out on the market soon. Looks like I'm going to need to step up my breeding/tame game. lol. They also got two of my Cyan Theri eggs (9222 hp, 1290 stam, 396 melee) and two of my glow green spike magenta tipped Anky eggs (7140 hp, 945 stamina, 460 weight, 387 melee) I got a few other nice BP's primarily for resale. I expect that 101 Spino saddle to increaee in value after buff and transfer items are allowed into Abberation on consoles and i got 1800 shotgun shells. good trade. Very efficient. I had another trade set up but haven't heard back from the guy. He was really focused on getting set up on a new rag server so I still got his egg if he wants it but I don't beg. lol. Did a few on server trades to lighten excess items and get some resources. I have quite a few things raising for trades coming up next week. Raises: Popped the last of my Rex's (13.6k hp, 2226 stamina, 449 melee). I got 5 worthy fighters. This will give me a full 20 fighters allowing me to run my own fights if I choose. The alliance fights have been great but I'd like to be able to farm 200 element whenever I want. These should help in that regard. I am now trying to decide what do with my breeders. One game glitch could cost me all of these but I want to make room for my next projects on both server and tribe limit so I think I may reduce the female clean breeders to 2, hold on to the male clean breeder, hold on to the 13.6k 449 male breeder and get a fridge full of both eggs for reserve. Then off 10 female breeders. I don't even need to keep extra Rex's to tank Wyvern's as I'm done raising them at this point. The name of the game is consolidation. Rex's will finish up this morning while i'm at work with 91% imprint. Not too bad. I also hatched 5 Theri's worthy of being boss fighters (9992 hp, 1290/1470 stamina, 396 melee). I traded my cyan's with same stats for some purple eggs. I got a male and female out of this. I'll mate them a few times while I get the male leveled but he's going to the boss barn. She'll hang around to be a breeder. This will give me 7 boss worthy Theri's which I will introduce into a beta fight in the next few weeks. They'll all be 21k hp, 700+ melee, rocking 122+ armor saddles. They are around 70% complete. I also hatched a blue mute Yuty egg so I could get it raised and bred with my full growns in anticipation of the large hatching over easter break. Crap stats. Strictly a color hatch but therefore it doesn't get an imprint. Since I hatched the Yuty I also made a few deals for full grown Quetzal's. A mating pair for one trade (2 full sets of artifacts) and another one for a separate trade (6k advanced rifle ammo). I didn't want to go to crazy so I only hatched like 6 of the eggs I have but I got my first color mutation! It's only a food mutation and if I wasn't raising other Quetzal's I would have offed it but it's a nice color. All my time on legacy I never got a wing mute. We always got skin mutes so this is pretty cool. I'll keep it off to the side once it's done. Breed it to try and get a mate and get some 97.5% eggs but I won't breed that color in until I get my as close to maxed weight and stamina stats as I can that I am looking for. They were at 49% this morning. i also got two more Argy's done. both were males. One got 4015 hp, 1280 stam, 760 weight, 408 melee. Good bird and I will be able to breed it with the 768 female to try and get that last piece of the puzzle. the other one got the 4k hp and 768 weight. I can breed that with a few of the females to try and pull those last two stats in as well. That projects almost to the point that I can start breeding hard looking for weight mutations. Rest of the weekend; Ran a few more boss fights on Rag. We are currently running beta so we have our technique pretty much down. first fight ran smooth. our worse Rex there was down to about 5k (golem's again) but overall it was smooth. The fight the next night was not as smooth. Ally lost one of his Rex's. The dragon landed further away and one of my Rex's got there about 5 seconds before everybody else so he got beat up pretty bad. We had a real mix bag of results. I took in 6 Rex's and the Yuty. My tribe mate has been busy off game so I have been running the Yuty and whistle commaning the Rex's. Coming out of that second fight, I had the Yuty with about 1k hp loss. He's a good Yuty. Have him at 40k hp, up to 3700 stamina now, and he runs a 98 saddle. Two of my Rex's (all Rex's are at 30k hp, 700+ melee and all run 100+ armor saddles) lost about 5k hp, two lost about 12k hp (I'm guessing they were messing with the Golem's including the Cyan female that hatched 12.5k 414 melee. She's still around. lol) and the last Rex, the one who decided to try and solo the dragon, was down to 1k hp. Luckily he was wearing a 104 saddle else that'd be one more Rex I need to raise. lol. My allies had several Rex's under 1k hp. Close fight. I am going to stat these last 5 Rex's that are currently raising in different ways. 3 of them will go to about 20-25k (leaning closer to 20k) hp and then get 1000+ melee. They'll wear the strongest saddles but think the higher attack rate will help tremendously with the Dragon. Two of them are going to 45k hp. This will be my Golem tankers. They'll get strong saddles too but I think I will create 3 whistle groups. All Rex's, tank Rex's, fight Rex's. All Rex's will take on Dragon (maybe I'll leave the tank Rex's out due to fire dot), tank Rex's will occupy Golem's, fight Rex's will take out Manticore. That's the plan in the head. Execution will be done on gamma before trying beta solo. I built some more Tek pieces including finally my own replicator and a transmitter. I built a small trade center that is protected for the transmitter. Dino gates, with a behemoth gate to bring out larger dino's and vaults for people to offload into. If people have transmitter capability this cuts down on a lot of travel up to the green ob and avoids a stray Wyvern intercepting an Argy or Quetzal trade. It also makes me transferring stuff between server's (my island servers, my center server, and rag) a lot easier. The replicator I placed on the roof and it will become my new off load place for materials and on server material trades. I placed 6 vaults up there. Can walk a Quetz right up to either offload into transmitter or vaults. I enclosed it slightly since i have a bunch of Argy's in the area and installed another turret, though i still need to run the cable for it. On docket: I plan on getting these new Rex's and Theri's fully statted and moved up to the boss barn. I believe we will attempt the Alpha Rag boss for the first time this coming weekend. I will run my Theri's through the next Beta fight before doing Alpha. I am moving out the original breed (10.7k hp, 2226 satmina, 396 melee) to the island server where I plan on farming Beta monkey with them. I'll build a tek replicator over there and I may bring that character over to rag to run a Beta fight to get the tek transmitter engram unlocked. That's my crafting character and no raising is going on that server so all element can go to crafting tek items and high end bp's with great crafting. If I get a transmitter I can send over mass amounts of hide for saddle bp's. I've also received a future invitation to run the tek cave with some of my island friends and to raise a Rex and run monkey on my other island server with my legacy friends who put me in their tribe. They are getting 461 melee Rex's so that'll be pretty cool. If my current Rex's can handle Alpha Rag, I won't get the 461 Rex's myself though I've been offered the 14k 461's on a few occasions. I also plan on doing quite a bit of grinding, less raising, over this extended 2x event coming up. I need to get more crystal and black pearls for tek plus I need more metal building pieces to finish my main base as well as adding about 3 high level female Argy's as I start to get ready to breed that line hard for weight. Until next week.
  19. I'm friendly here. I don't want people taking up my tame cap spots on my home server [emoji23][emoji23] I'm not mean per se, unless they come in begging, but I tend to hit them with all the worse stuff going on in the server (up against cap, constant rollbacks, pillared areas, people who will kite them) in an encouraging "move along find a better server" type of way. If they stay they stay and if they integrate themselves into the community I can give helpful tips then. Also, a year ago I was still playing mostly R6 and BF1. I had just started or was just about to start playing Ark.
  20. Use your full grown's to kill them. You'll get amazing xp to boost them especially if you have boosted xp. We level most of our dino's using low level Wyv eggs (one guy sits while other kills) but luckily since your own Wyvern's can kill your own tames with elemental attacks, it will still work on single player.
  21. The only way to get a perfect tame is with a catapult. The cannon causes splash damage regardless but the catapult is incredibly inefficient and very costly (3 ing per boulder). Hitting the body doesn't take away anymore TE then just already using the cannon it just does a lot of damage. build a stationary set up, place a jerboa or something else for the Golem to aggro high (protected as can be) to keep it's head up and let loose with the cannon.
  22. Had a real good weekend in Ark. I traded a little bit but mostly focused on raising and boss related stuff. Trades: Moved the full grown male cyan Theri. Chatted with the guy for a bit and he seems like a decent player. We talked about other offerings and he has a few friends that are interested in my Theri's and Yuty's. I reduced the price for the Theri to 20 artifacts to build a bit of goodwill for future dealings. I moved a few more Quetzal eggs for artifacts. One guy has bought several of them and has pre-ordered a mating pair for when I hatch over the Easter break. He has mutes so I am guessing he is gonna breed in my stat line. I'm ok with that. I have about 40 Quetz eggs to hatch right now so I think I have a good shot at a stam or weight mutation over the Easter break plus I should be able to get about 30 more eggs until then. I have about the same with the Yuty. I did pick up a new color Yuty. Crap stats but a nice pastel blue. I don't normally trade strictly for color but I am excited to get our blue limbs on that fur with our stats. I may hatch them before the Easter break so I can get the grown and try to start breeding our stats on. I run the desert rag drops a lot as well so been trading blueprints mostly with allies. Big trade was I moved a pre-made 101 Yuty saddle and a 102 Giga BP for two 116 Rex saddles, a 122 Theri saddle, a 251 compound bow, a 198 pump shotty, and a Beta monkey seat for my island crafting character which allows him to use the tek replicator. Since we're not doing Giga's this time, perfect trade for us. There was some smaller material trades, trading older line dino's, but was low key on the trades. Raises: I was very focused on Rex's and Theri's this week. Hatched about 30 Rex eggs, kept 8 with stats I was looking for (12.5k hp, 1800-2226 stam, 449 melee) and another new egg that luckily turned out to be male (13.6k hp, 2226 stam, 449 melee). That will be my new male breeder. They were at 95% this morning so I think I have a chance to get 100 imprint on them which is actually amazing considering the server lag and the fact that our server was offline for almost 2 hours at one point this weekend (though I guess that pauses the server but it throws off real life time for when I have it set to imprint based upon my schedule). They are all at 91% imprint though so still done well. The last 6 got 100 imprint on them so 15 bosses with 90+ imprint is a good line. I also hatched the Theri eggs looking for either a stat mutation on the Cyan side (didn't get) or to add in the stamina from the red crown breed. I did get that, in triplet form. 2 males and a female. Hatched level 263 with 9.2k hp, 1470 stamina, and 396 melee. I already have several egg and adult orders. I am not sure if I will do that or just raise a full 20 of them for a boss line before continuing the search for stat mutations. I also would like to add a stripe color though I'm not sure what. I'll have to play around with a color matching program. Finally I raised another Argy. That's coming along. This one lost the green color from the xmas breed but kept the red feet and red wing tips. It hatched level 248 with 4015 hp, 1200 stamina (have 1280 to get on) 760 weight (have 768 to get on) and the 408 melee. It's coming along pretty nice but I just seen a non-mutated line this weekend on PS4 that is astounding. 4600 hp (estimated), 1280 stam, 776 weight, 449 melee (estimated). That's a nice line. I'll keep on with mine though. Bosses: Did a lot of stuff with bosses this weekend. We ran the ice cave twice and demolished the Queen both times. We ran 5 and 6 deep on teams. First run I brought 5 vultures, wore 400+ riot armor, and used a 10k durability riot shield. Everybody else brought assault rifles from the 250 BP I made them (all were 290+ damage) for the main section and 2 used rocket launchers and 2 used the AR's on the queen. pretty straight forward run both times. Vultures get a little beat up in main section so I have to let them heal before we drop down. i have the 1125 hp eggs so think I may go up to 3k hp on those to be better durable. The Hunter artifact is easily farmed on the island so we haven't run the Lava Golem cave yet but I still want to just to tick it off the accomplishment list. I may use vultures to combat onyc for the main section then leave them outside as we fight the Golem. I need to farm some rockets for that fight. Ran another gamma rag fight. That went much smoother. No losses. think I can solo that at this point if i just want to farm element. Then with the new breed we ran beta twice. (30k hp, 700 melee) It's a pretty big jump up in difficulty but through two runs, only 2 Rex's got lost (an allies). The dragon landed right on top of them and after it was dead they were stuck there and the Golem's took them out. the funniest thing was in the first beta fight right near the end my tribe mate goes, "Oh no. The Yuty just died!". The Yuty we are running has 40k hp, a 98 armor saddle, and 3200 stam. A second later he goes, "Oh no. It's just asleep." Lol. It may reduce the torpor on the Rex's but only stimulant would help it and my tribe mate never remembers to use the stimulant in it's inventory. The thing was out cold. It laid on the obelisk after the fight for a good 20 minutes. So as I mentioned a long time trading partner on my island server offered me up a beta monkey run as part of the BP payment. I happily took him up on that. I brought over an older breed Rex that has 30k hp and 700 melee. Since it's not imprinted to my island character I needed the extra hp. Was a straight forward fight. Only lost about 4k hp. I talked to some of his allies who joined in on the fight and arranged to run Alpha Monkey and Alpha Brood the day after (yesterday). I supplied the artifacts, moved my island character off server and brought in my rag main character. I brought over one of my top Rex's. 30k hp, 2226 stamina, 800 melee. Wore a 116 saddle. The monkey fight was a bit clustered. With the lure him to the pad technique it's hard to get all the Rex's hitting with limited space. Could probably do that fight with 15 Rex's and a Yuty and get the same amount of dps. That fight was successful. I only lost about 2k hp. it makes sense why it is the fight to farm between difficulty and ratio of element gained. Rex's came out, we used the Daedon's to heal them and then we went in to face the Alpha Brood. I faced Alpha brood once on legacy, pre-nerf, and we had an ally run the Yuty. Well he died so the Yuty died so we ended up facing her with 18 Rex's and a Daedon. 3 riders. This fight we had 6 riders. 19 Rex's and a Yuty. I remembered how close my 35k hp, 800 melee Rex was to dying in the legacy fight but I also took tank position. I figured with a nice Yuty buff and not being the tank and a better saddle and imprint, I'd be ok with the slightly less hp. Jumped in the fight and the alpha was on us fast. I got on my Rex pretty quick moved it back to let her come out but the guy running the fight couldn't get on his Yuty. He tried and it put him on a Rex. He jumped off and it put him on another Rex. At that point she was on us so we started chomping. After a few minutes, he was worried about his Rex's (he runs 20k-25k hp but like 1000+ melee). The other players were nervous too but I felt like we were doing good. We had her hp going down and while we were taking damage it didn't seem like near as much as legacy. He made one last effort to get on the Yuty and got smacked in the face by the brood. He had the broken leg symbol and got back on his Rex. He was lucky to be wearing 500+ riot armor with 600+ durability. His Rex's and the Yuty we're pretty beat up but we could tell we almost had her down. Finally came the sweet sound of the victory music. My Rex lost about 19k hp (was at 11k) so much better than legacy when my 35k hp Rex was at 2k hp. That damage measures up too as his Yuty was at 736 hp and several of his Rex's were at 1k or less hp. I believe they run 120 saddles. So I'd need to do some math but i think if I do the 13.6k hp breeds and get them up to 25k hp and dump everything else into melee with a 100+ saddle, we'd be able to do Alpha Brood and Monkey on island to get my tribe mates Abberation character a lot of the engrams and he can farm element and make the stuff over there. I had a blast this weekend. Finally getting the work we put in to pay off in the form of boss runs. I am excited to do the Alpha Rag fight and open up the whole engram (minus Abberation) tree. I have started thinking of the next projects. Next will be to grow the Theri line and do all the bosses. Then the Megatheriums, then I want to do the pack boost method I believe I discussed before. If not I am sure to detail it as it goes. I just hope to get these bugs fixed because there is so much more to do in this game, so many ideas and method's to try so it is easily from that aspect the best sandbox game on the market. On the docket: I will raise more Rex's this weekend so we have a full 20 line. I'm getting antsy and may pop a few Quetzal's and Yuty's. I have until Sunday to make that decision (would hatch them early Sunday morning if I was to do it). I am sure we will do more cave runs and boss runs. We have a strong 3 tribe alliance on Ragnarok right now. We work well together so I believe we can crush anything we go after. I may start to hunt harder for Megatheriums. So first step is to place out my hives (I will honey tame them) and get them going. I'll need to farm more flowers for that. Until next week.
  23. What kind of stats you got? I'm always interested in other people's Quetzal's.
  24. At this point, why even play the game right?
  25. I actually did a pretty fair amount but probably don't have a lot to say (until I start writing and then and then and then). Raises: Six 12.5k hp, 449 melee Rex's. These are the start of the line for beta and alpha rag. Five of these will go to the boss barn, the sixth is my new top breeder. He hatched level 290 and got our 2226 stamina and 940 weight in addition to the hp and melee. I'll breed him with 12 clean mute females and two females with same stats to get at least two guaranteed eggs every time. Three clean female Rex's. I currently have 6 clean females so here are 3 more that will be added to the breeding pool. I'll breed the clean male again to get the last three. One Argy. I now have the hp (4015) stamina (1280) and melee (408) together on a 1 mutated bird. Just have to get the weight added yet. (760) Two Theri's with cyan color and 9.2k hp, 396 melee. I got twin males out of the egg. I hatched it for a trade so I'll sell both males. No real exciting stories out of this. The tek troughs make it easy, I think I did the initial meat run and maybe a small buffer, so it really is set it and forget it. Trades: There was a bunch of them. Most involved the Quetzal's and Quetzal eggs with a few more egg trades set up for this weekend. I acquired a lot of different stuff. Sold 3 adult Quetzal's. Received 2k shot gun ammo, 2k tranq darts, and a full set of Artifacts to run a fight with. I also sold 3 Quetzal eggs. i got 12 artifacts (6 an egg) and a purple Theri egg that matches our stats. Since I sell those for 8k ings it was a good deal imo. I traded the old xmas Argy with the stam and melee stat for an additional 4 artifacts. I also moved a 220/230 Giga egg for 2k advanced rifle ammo. I traded a 98 armor Tuso saddle BP for a tek trough. I traded a 89 armor Giga saddle BP for 5 rex saddles. That was from an ally on my island server. He basically allowed me to use his BP (94 armor MC) and my crafting character to make 5 saddles. Highest was 108, lowest was 95.4. I traded two Yuty eggs to another ally at a reduced cost of 4k advanced rifle ammo. This is a group of guys from legacy. They had bought an egg previously. I gave them one of the upgraded eggs (10.3k hp) as a gift of sorts. I then came to a a different business practice decision with my closest allies. I'm not charging them anymore. At some point they will or have hooked me up (one of my allies let me use his breeder male 12.5k hp, 449 melee that got me my breeder male and 5 fight worthy Rex's). I am very particular about who my allies are so if I invited them into an alliance they have been extensively vetted. So for my legacy buddies, I gave them a Quetzal egg. I also moved all our colored anky's and eggs to the one guy who only does Anky raising (with exception of our magenta tipped green spiked mating pair which i am actually using. I told him to get my stats or better on the blue yellow color I gave him and I'll take an egg from that. I was on their island server to do that trade and they invited me to their tribe. So now when rag is acting a fool, I can just hop over there and work with them. I still have two more Quetzal eggs to move for 12 artifacts and I am moving one of the male Cyan Theri's for 28 artifacts (guy offered that many because he doesn't have a full set). Other than that I am just focuing on raising the Rex's and prepping for some Quetzal and Yuty hatching over the Easter break. Boss fight: Ran another fight with the same allies as before. No losses this time though some of the Rex's were as low as 2k hp from 25k hp (a large portion of our Rex's got stuck on the Golem's this time). It felt smoother and I used my crafting character on our AR BP which gave us three AR's at 298 dmg and one at 278. I think we will need to run one more gamma just to make sure we have enough element to sustain the new Rex line breeding and then we should be Beta and Alpha prepared. Docket: More Rex, more Argy this weekend. More building, more trades. Maybe go play around in the desert on the last of the Ravagers like we did for a few minutes last night. I really actually enjoyed that.
