  1. Well I had big ambitions last night that fizzled out in a combo of being tired and getting started later than I wanted due to getting caught up in a movie. Log into my instance and blink a little in confusion. Backstory: I have been unable to find megalosaurs anywhere (even godmoded through a coupleof caves the hunt to find one) so I spawned in a couple of fertilized eggs to see how I like the beasties. I'll probably use them as strategic night guards, or just keep them around cause they're adorable with their muttonchop fluff. Plus, low leveled so if I DO lose them, no big. If I'm really fond, I'll actually spawn in a couple of grown ones to tame. To continue...my three surviving megalosaurs had all rebounded back to baby and juvie stage from adolescent to baby stage, and all reverted back to the "default" color. Hrmmm. So I waited around to make sure there was no feeding glitch issues and then threw some rando colors and body areas into a list generator and used admin color command to get them out of the "default" colors. With the exception of the male who lucked out on albino and light brown shades, the other two aren't REMARKABLE, but not ugly either. That taken care of, bred another ptera in my just started color mutation line. Ended up just like mom, so I'll breed her back to dad or see if I can get a male sib to breed to. Still trying to get the black wings in there. Looked at the stego/parasaur enclosure thats not finished. Thought about finishing it but then thought, meh. Then suddenly remembered the cool looking steogo that was on my beach. I went to check it out and sure enough, female! I got ready to tame and then the Troodon Nation attacked. Thankfully I was on Freighter to grab the stego so I dropped them off the coast as a gift to four hungry megalodons hanging out. Decided to do a quick check out of the beach, round the corner and GLOWY EYED BSTARDS EVERYWHERE. Like...SWARMS of them. Plunked all their horrid little selves into the ocean and fed up the fishies. One was a super pretty white female but I already have one that's white and grey from a spawned egg. She moved on to damper pastures. Go back to the stego and find a raptor chewing on everything. I had to stop and do a double take...he is such a pale shade of green with white that I thought for a moment, an alpha was raiding my beaches. I'm a sucker for nice colors, and he tamed out at decent 11-something. Not too bad and really awesome colors on him. Saw a tapejara stuck on the cliffside. It's been the best way to get those guys so far. Plunked a dart in it, and it magicked into the cliff. Alrighty. Remembered the stego, but wasn't feeling up to another beach run. Spent some time chewing on it, but in the end decided to spawn in a thyla. No regrets. I love him. Came in at level 88...not great but kibble tame helped that (thank you zealous over spawning of titanoboas on my map!) and even at a lower level...yowza. I love my drop kitty. Freaking amazing. And he came in a neat dusky blue, red, and cream. Probably going to spawn a couple more tonight cause why not.
  2. This weekend was busy. I decided to finally expand my base and nooooow....after allll the expanding and resources spent....I kinda want to move it. My base is on Tropical Island North and I'm really considering moving and trying to unify the little islands on the river delta into an island base. Way more flat space for building, which is an issue for me right now since I can't do S+ on PS4. And I can't build the way I need and want to. So I'll probably spawn in resources and do some test building. I don't know. I need to be in a more central location but that just seems...boring and easy lol. But as for what I accomplished this weekend! MASSIVE base expansion I was having issues with raptors spawning in, so I was debating on having a few wandering therizinos on neutral as well as an Allo barrier here than there...but then high level chalicos started spawning in. They leave me alone. I'm SP so beer just.. really isn't feasible for taming...but I tell you what...they've been FANTASTIC base guards so I'm happy to leave them. They're three of them and so far they've made quick work of several raptors and an errant carno without me even needing to send in the troops. If I do end up moving base, I might spawn some beer in and take them with me. I'm sentimental like that. Finished my expansion and decided to go prowl for some gallis as I don't have any. Instead I found a gorgeous dark red carno (the first I've seen in that color in my instance)and another high level purlovia. Perfect! Slapped them on passive, tucked them into my taming box in the redwoods and went hunting for gallis. Had my eye on one when a microraptor AND purlovia smacked me off my quetz Freighter, and pushed me into a pack of terror birds. Desperately poke at the terror birds while Freighter did his huge, crappy follow curcles, then a level 130 some carno came into the mix and wiped me out. Respawned at home, grabbed armor, grapped crossbow, hopped on Windshear and went racing back. Freighter was pretty beat up. I got him back on follow, but was slow on the draw and forgot to change his follow distance aaaand stuck on each other. At that moment the SAME FREAKING CARNO comes back. Everything goes crazy and I jump off, start shooting the carno, trying to draw aggro. It took forever, but he started paying attention to me. I have movement speed waaay up, so juked him around a bit, grabbed Freighter and made a mad dash home. Only I forgot to put Windshear on follow. And off of neutral. So immediately turn around to find Windshear getting the poop kicked out of her. Now there are terror birds in the mix, a carno...madness. I whistle follow and passive. She goes passive but gets STUCK IN THE MOB. Pretty sure I'm going to lose my bird at this point. My favorite bird at that. But through the power of me wading in there, breaking ALL my armor, almost dying (again), and jabbing everything with my pike...she breaks free. Mad dash to Freighter and home, both birds at 70 some HP outta 3k for Freighter and about 2k for Windshear. Come back later, get my red carno, get microraptored again...carno saves me from troodons...at this point SO done with the redwoods. So go home, remember my high level purlovia still in the taming box and say forget it for now. That was just Saturday. Sunday, I lick my wounds, decide to go out to find an ankylo. Metal gathering is a pain and I should have gotten one a long time ago. On the way to find them, run across an allo pack. Decide, hey, if opportunity knocks, who am I to say no? No spectacular levels but hey. I'm always looking for allo army grunts. Knock out two and the third one just disappears. Cannot find it for the life of me. Thinking I'm relatively safe, hop off Freighter, and meander about, poke a couple of parasaurs...then disaster strikes. Just as my two grunts pop up, an allo pack appears and starts attacking them. Then the third that disappeared magically REAPPEARS and starts helping wreck my new tames. They make quick work of the grunts and start after Freighter. I get through the fray, get on Freighter, aaaand stuck on trees. Freighter starts becoming a bloody mess and so upset and aggravated at it all, I invoke the nuclear option and destroy all wild dinos. Freighter was practically dead. 30 some HP left. Just. Over it. Finally cruise around and find a 113 anklo. I'll take it. Tame up, get some metal going...fabulous. Decide I need a female bary. Troll the river, find a highlevel male spino. Easy tame, find two male barys and a female finally. Not spectacular levels, but I'm not complaining. One of them is an awesome green and cream I haven'tseen before on them so he was an immediate must have. Gorgeous but stupidly low level female spino spawns. Don't even care. Easily most gorgeous spino I've found. We truck home, avoiding manta hordes, and I get everyone put away. Decide to fill troughs, so take out Twinby, my level 206 allo, and we go murdering. Come back with an amazing black and purple dimorph female in tow, along with two compys, an an awesome orange and black female turtle to go with my white and black male. Decide to play aroud, hatch a rando ptera color mutation...orange, grey, and black! Immediately breed her back to the sire, and get a male. Gotta let breeding timer reset then will breed those two. Have a baby purlovia, remember my high level male in the redwoods, but still salty over that so delay getting him a bit longer. Wanted to have a bit of fun so tamed up a diplo that spawned in my base and hatched a spawned thorny dragon egg. Try to hatch some spawned moth eggs but they fell through the world. Hatch up a couple of megalosaurs, and three immediately fall to the baby feeding bug because I couldn't hand feed them fast enough. Finally had three persist into juvie stage. And I called it a night.
  3. I took a couple of nights off ARK to catch up some much needed sleep. But tonight I plan on breeding these two again. I bred them a couple of days ago, hoping for a baby with mom's body and dad's crest (curse poop green colors), but ended up with a doppelganger of mom. So I'll try again tonight. Plan to do more building, maybe expand my allo pack. We'll see what the night brings!
  4. Decided to veture to the actual center of the center. Found an Allo pack with a high level female that was mostly white, and two decent level, good looking minions. Was going to tame and work on logistics of getting them back to my base later, but they aggro'd an argy and ran off the edge to their death. So much for that. Found another allo pack closer to home causing destruction with an alpha raptor. Spent forever kiting away the raptor, until it got stuck in a bronto-therizino mess quite a distance away. Tamed up the alpha and one of the minions, but the third minion disappeared somewhere. Didn't have the sense to check levels beforehand, and they were pretty sad, but I island hopped them home anyhow. Bred up Sol, my gold and white high level allo, with Twinby, my current alpha that's red with green scutes and black belly. Hatched out a 151 girl, white with gold scutes and black belly. Going to breed her back to Sol and keep working on getting a beast allo with maybe a color mutation. Built my few pachys a new stable to get them out of my house. Saw a couple spawned on my island so went to see if any of them were female but found two cool, higher leveled female raptors instead, so tamed them up and added them to my raptor pack. I have two lower leveled males from early on, so maybe tonight will try to find a high leveled male for my girls and start some breeding. Moved my tapejaras around. I've had good luck spooking them into cliffs so they get stuck, so I had a white and purple one spawn outside my base that I tried the same with. Unfortunately this one apparently was smarter than the rest and just went flapping to who knows where. So went back home, took my wyvern Selarus out for some meat. Took my favorite argy Windshear out after that for more meat. Took the mammoth Seaice outt gather wood. Realized then I needed a beaver badly but it was getting late, so I planned out my terror bird stable and then decided to hatch a couple of eggs. Hatched out a nice black and red-brown moschops female to go with my all black male, Coal. Then hatched out two compys to add to my Menagerie of Small Annoyances. Debated on reorganizing my pego room but that'll wait till tonight.
  5. Went Allo hunting to add to my pack. Cruising around, not seeing much, until I stumbled on a pack taking on a couple of brontos. Hovered around; it was hard to see them since they were all caught in each other. Then the alpha wheeled off, and I didn't care if he was freaking level 10 or whatever; most gorgeous Allo I've evee seen! One pack member was killed so I decided to help by plunking arrows into the brontos. The alpha and the other did their thing, then ensued half an hour of kiting those two idiots around to knock them out. Managed to tame the prettiest dino I've tamed ever. He's all white with golden scutes. Luck was with me as he was high leveled, as was his minion. The minion is good looking too, black back and scutes with pale green belly. Can't wait to breed him with my current alpha!
