ARK: Survival Evolved coming to the Nintendo Switch™!
CyanicEmber replied to Jatheish's topic in Announcements
This is pretty much a console seller for me. Will definitely be getting a Switch now. I've had my fair share of disappointments with Wildcard but I will never cease to be in awe over what they HAVE achieved and how dedicated they are as developers. This game is a dream come true, and I will always be grateful, especially now that I will be able to enjoy it with my wife. -
Maybe they're just uncomfortable with you making a living off game screenshots... x)

Wow. Those updated models are pretty dang sleek... Awesome.

So excited! Congratulations Wildcard and thanks for working so hard!

They are Bionic Skins. Other creatures may get Tek Saddles in the future though. Hopefully with more diverse TEK than just Plasma Cannons, we'll see. -

Is it just me... Or does that countdown screen look very... Aquatic? It looks like the ARK logo... But covered in... Algae or kelp... OCEANIC EXPANSION CONFIRMED. -

Actually, since you still get retroactive bug fixes, content updates, optimizations, and the like, you are still being supported pretty throughly. It's just support tickets that you cannot file. Frankly, I think this is the best move for Wildcard to make so that they can focus on expanding their support team and providing better service to the new servers. The Legacy servers would simply have been a fruitless time-sink. -

Community Crunch 99 & ARK Digest 47: Introducing the Otter!

If the worth of a human being was determined objectively your attitude would earn you less points than GP by far. Luckily some of us have higher standards than mere objectivity. -

I am so excited for ARK and it's future! I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say this is my favorite game of all time. Thank you, Wildcard for putting so much heart and soul into this. <3 -
Hm... Why do I get the feeling that we'll be seeing that Ice Wyvern rework far sooner than anyone previously suspected...
-
Nice to know.

Honestly I am impressed with the self-restraint of their moderators and employers. Most of you are unbearable.
-
Is that is true, than probably yes. Given their track record Wildcard would never pass up a chance like that. (I don't think.)
-
Alternatively just make all Rare Resources harvestable from normal nodes at an extremely low rate. No one would be cut off from them then.
-
And Community Crunches continue to get less and less attention... I wonder why...
-
I hope the Megaloceros gets more than a mechanics update... The model royally sucked from day one.
-
Cool, glad to see Wildcard willing to branch out and extend their resources to other teams.

Cluster all servers and add Tribe Levels with a limited number of Perks useful to the unique situations of various players. For example, a general perk "Watchmen" that alerts you when your base or tames are under attack even if you're offline at the time, or a perk for small tribes "Stand Your Ground" that increases your tamed dino and structure resistance against attacks from larger tribes (simple calculation that automatically excludes already overpowered alphas), for large tribes you might have a perk called Advanced Chemistry that extends the duration and potency of chemicals by 25% and so on an so forth... All of these are useful in their own way but only specific tribes would want them and if you had enough perks available with a very limited number of points you could end up with some unique combinations and priorities that would mix up both PvP and PvE.
