  1. Just wipe and reset all the servers Jan 1. Cap the character sizes while you are at it for pvp servers.
  2. I get it, they need to eat and relying on Ark 1 sales (8 year old game) which they basically give away for free now isn't enough to support development until 2024 or further. What is suspect is not allowing one to buy ASA separate and also charging for DLCs we already paid for. Sell ASA as a standalone game with all the DLC included. We have no idea if we will even like Ark 2 as the game doesn't exist yet. Doesn't make sense for force us to buy it. Fresh servers will defn revitalize the community and full cross-platform support and mods is a welcome change.
  3. do you know which ones are different. i can get decay timer to work but once timer hits zero structures still stay no matter what, even restarts, leaving render ranghe etc. under game settings ini [ServerSettings] PvPStructureDecay=True AutoDestroyStructures=True AutoDestroyOldStructuresMultiplier=0.0 AutoDestroyDecayedDinos=True DestroyUnconnectedWaterPipes=True FastDecayUnsnappedCoreStructures=True
  4. Hey developers its been 1.5 years, how is this coming along for the windows 10 store version? "You will be able to host a 70 player dedicated server using the Windows 10 version of the game! At present, hosting a Windows 10 Player Dedicated can be graphically intensive on the computers, as you're pretty much running the game. In the near future, we are going to see if there's a way we can make it similar to hosting a graphicless dedicated PC server. You will not be able to edit the "game.ini" or "gameusersettings.ini" server files, as those are locked behind the Windows 10 platform, though, you still have the Host Settings user interface available to you, similarly to the Xbox game." 1. We can edit ini files under the windows appdata folder but some ini commands don't work such as autodecay structures, max players, etc. 2. Graphicless/headless hosting would be awesome to add, i know you said near future but I feel like 1.5 years is pretty much in the future now. 3. Can you give us startup command options and the ability to cluster multiple maps? @Cedric, @StudioWildcard Thanks
  5. the patch went life and now no one can host windows store version servers, same scenario as last update. You think they would learn or at least test this specific feature since they broke it last time also. Be crazy to ever buy another game from them.
  6. Please give us the INI codes to apply the 30 second timer to these: These are some of the biggest items in the game and most costly, and we all know the building mechanics aren't the best. I at least want to turn these on for my server. Structures+ Integration Can pick structures up within 30s of placing Exclusions: Charge Lantern C4 Elevator Platforms Elevator Tracks Electric Generator Grill Industrial Forge Industrial Grinder Chem Bench Fabricator Tek Generator Tek Replicator Tek Transmitter
  7. they aren't going to open it up until some kind of battle-eye equivalent is in place.
  8. Editing the game and gameusersettings .ini files doesn't seem to work. I tried to add overrideengrampoints modifier, overridediffculty etc but not of them seem to stick. I made sure to close ark before editing. Are we ever going to have the option to be able to control the hosting like the steam version, no rendering of graphics on host machine, cluster support, editable ini files, easily restore save states, etc?
  9. 83.9 is correct for the base game plus the extra for Scorched or Aberration. Scored failed for me because the base game hadn't completed yet but once it did then scorched work, might be what you are experiencing.
  10. I can also turn on epic view distance, and it erases all harvest-able resources from the map, but at least I can see all the dinos and everyone's base very easily and fly through anything.
  11. It is pretty sad that half the keyboard keys don't even work on the pc version, can't use the T button to transfer items quickly, can't hold the E button down in inventory to use. A lot of the play anywhere PC inputs don't match the keyboard Steam version PC inputs which is baffling.
  12. How do I host on PC and play on PC/xbox (non-steam version) at the same time without buying an additional copy? Does it support graphicless PC hosting for windows store version? Can I host on another PC while playing on another PC/xbox (non-steam version) without buying an additional copy?
  13. Get real dude, 99% of the xbox players are not going to have a 3rd party $150 keyboard and mouse converter and you know it. Having crossplay on PC gives PC users a huge advantage in combat vs someone on a controller and that doesn't just include aiming. They can cycle through menus/items/hotkeys/etc. faster. The PC version is a lot easier/advantageous to use than the controller version. Maybe the Devs are waiting to MS to release official keyboard and mouse support on xbox before they release all the crossplay to all servers. Basically kiss controllers good bye for anything FPS, basically making the xbox an entry level gaming computer. There won't be much of a difference between console vs pc.
