Some info to clarify a few points: Of course all the Official Mods/Maps will be free. The intent is to give back to the community and get more great ARK content integrated into the official game on PC and Consoles The Official Mods/Maps will all function in singleplayer, etc. We will be hosting & maintaining Official Servers for all the Official Mods/Maps. Because of The Center being added as an Official Map during the Mod Contest now, it will shortly be removed from the Mod Contest competition placement and the next entrant will be moved up. Just wanna note that Sony didn't pay for timed exclusivity. The reason for releasing SotF onto PS4 first is the necessity of publicly testing and optimizing the shared ARK codebase on PS4 in advance of the full Survival Evolved game release, and iterating on that PS4 codebase through a wide release. We're just not large enough to do that effectively without the help of the public ARK community. As mentioned, it'll also hit Xbox One later on! Yeah splitscreen is for PC and Xbox One. That was a little mistake in the Gamespot article And yes it will work with mouse-keyboard too -- one player can use the mouse/keyboard in one of the screens, the other player can use gamepad. So you can use splitscreen with just one gamepad if you want! (or two gamepads, etc)
