I tried uploading the file here in the forum in my post and it gave me an error. I will go figure out a file location so you can DL from. Example: "1 file was larger than the maximum file size of 399.36kB, and was skipped". Here is a file location of the file: http://www.cybergamezone.com/ark/TheIsland_CGZ.zip Instead of using FTP, I even tried doing the local file off my desktop. Stills says "Contact failed to load". So at least we eliminated if it is an FTP thing.

When I download and installed, the only folders are images, maps and runtimes. I can connect with filezilla and gran the ark file so the login/pass works. I do have the same error today. I tried to upload and says file too big. 5.24 MB

Hello, I have been using ASV for some time, and even used it a month ago. Today I see an update so I downloaded as if I was using it the first time (I dont use the bot or JSON part yet). In the settings when you add your server via the FTP info, it now says "Content Failed To Load". I know the info is good since I added the server and through browsing to the gamefile directory it found the mapfile, and I did click save. Suggestions? Thank you

Same issue here for new DLC. I am running. ASV 4.3.0.5 If I manually add the FTP info and it browses to location fine, so that FTP way works. But if I refresh to click on the globe to update, says the invalid pass. From there I go back into the settings I had set, and the login name was defaulting to something else which I did not set.

New question: All players are listed as MALE. Why? When in fact the players are also female. And if the response is that its based on their SteamIDs as registered for those male playing as female- I know some true females as SteamIDs but the app is showing all male. If this is normal, its ok. Just curious.

ver 4.2.1.1 did the trick. It now works on Amissa and Volcano. THANK YOU!

Thanks for looking again more into this. The filename I selected from FTP was amissa.ark not the zipped filename. The ARK directory from server hosts has mapname.ark and then throughout the day creates all these zip files, but always a amissa.ark remains. All the ARK servers I admin do this. Even LostIsland. So why it worked on one, and not the other I dont understand. And its only on the nonDLC maps. I will download your update and see what happens. Thank you for looking into this. All I did was download the app, click on the app to start. Added map with FTP info. I didnt make changes to anything else. I'm no coder nor understand other than it displays cool stuff. I have downloaded and installed the new file ver 4.2.0.0 Loaded Amissa and Volcano. Still failed. The FTP part passed though.

I have played this game nearly for 2yrs. I have seen the ups and downs. Overall I have been VERY pleased. The game is addicting. I do have to admit games like Conan have been slowly pulling me away- but with the release of Extinction, oh my: its awesome. Thank you Jen, Jat and WC. Thank you Thank you.

Not only should WC release in August, but even market it more. I think they have a huge game hit. Even though bugs will always continue. How many still using CounterStrike exploits. WC should market the crap out of this. Since we can't legally use their logo's: Merchandise! Car Decals, Poster, Items. My kid found a ARK spinner.
