  1. Looking forward to when premium mods come console, I want that Anomalo
  2. As usual, the community is being entitled and toxic... which I suppose is just becoming pretty common place in dinosaur games
  3. Looks just as cool as I thought it would
  4. Flying, Oil Production, A living Crop plot, Disease curing, Injury Healing, AND it can raise the DEAD?!?! This thing's going to be a better mobile base than the freaking Titianosaur! Broken doesn't even BEGIN to describe the Oasisaur! And I love every bit of it!
  5. The 14th? This is excellent news! Finally a crunch with some... well crunch to it
  6. So long as "November" means "Early November", all is forgiven.
  7. Dread looks cool an all, but. Why aren't we learning more about ASA?
  8. Just a little more than an hour until the next crunch, fingers crossed its something good this time
  9. Now THIS is news, almost makes up for that nothing burger of a crunch we got last week. The Utahraptor looks amazing in UE5 and I look forward to seeing it run creatures down on the beaches of ARK.
  10. Welp, this week was a bust, up to two more weeks to go for some REAL info
  11. New Crunch tomorrow, finger crossed we get some ACTULAL news this time
  12. 1. What "Magical animals" are you referring to? I don't see any fantasy tames safe for the unicorn. 2. Doed, Anky, and Argy are all pretty far inland and thus not exactly easy to get. And Quetz's won't be any easier to get either. 3. Rhynia on the other hand will weirdly be possible so long you use a creature with high drag weight (such as a bronto, which spawns just about everywhere). It's getting the saddle that's the tricky part with a saddle that unlocks at an insane level 90... Buuuut leveling is pretty easy if you just rush Explorer notes and kill anything with a pulse between finds, you could possibly get there within 3-5 days with enough hard work. 4. You also didn't have Megatheriums, Frogs, Basilosaurs, Moschops, Microraptor, or A HUGE NUMBER OF OTHER ISLAND NATIVE TAMES on the first day of ASE, but you sure as hell will have them on ASA. 5. ASE didn't have redwoods, The Snow Biome, the active crater in the volcano, or even CAVES when it first came out. So you are factually incorrect with that statement. 6. English clearly isn't your native language, so I can't take you all that seriously with how ridiculous you phrase things. please get better or just use your mother tongue.
  13. You know that sounds sensible. release the trailer next week, release the game on the 27th, dish out some additional info on the 20th, hype of the launch with whatever else they want to add with the weekly crunch on the 27th. I doubt it will roll out that way. but one can dream.
  14. Right, because allowing tames to go beyond the 255 stat limit and keeping the breeding bug untouched is TOTALLY not fair for people playing on their own... (Sarcasm)
  15. Look on the bright side, there's only three more Fridays between now and the ASA's launch (if we take what we know at face value). They'll have to show us something before then
  16. Bummer, nothing special to see in this crunch, cya next week
  17. New Crunch tomorrow! Looking forward to what it has to offer. Fingers crossed for some more info on ASA like the devs did here
  18. To be fair, al lot of them weren't around during the pre-extinction times. WC said that tools and buildings are going to be released based on the maps they came from, meaning the TEK Transponder is obviously going to be available to everyone as soon as they defeat the boss required to unlock it. It mat not be on par as fitting a dinosaur in your pocket, but at least its the next best thing when it comes to storing the creatures you don't need, AND you can use it to transfer them over to whatever map unlocks next as soon as it's released. But do these children care (Not being insulting when I'm calling the children, I'm calling them what they most likely are)? No, they just to have all the tools they used to bully people on official just like they could in ASE. They want to be lazy and brute force their way through "all the hard parts" instead of be made to think things through. Personally I'm glad we won't have Cryo-pods right away, means I can relive the genuine ARK experience again along with a few extra layers of problem solving. I get to see the old strategies employed prior to the release of SE, and even some new ones with the added fact that all the voted creatures native to The Island will be roaming about and thus can be used to aid with survival. I get to see new takes on plans using said new creatures, constructing bases in ways that weren't possible in the early days of ARK. this ties in well with the speed nerf, Yeah I'll be leveling speed anyway in unofficial but in single player or if I ever decide to give official a chance in ASA I'll be glad that I have an excuse to tame the smaller mounts. These were all good changes, and I welcome them. Now if only Immersive Taming would get ported over like Ark Additions is (or at least a mod that does the same thing). Then this game would get a solid 10/10 from me.
  19. You seem to forget that this is the dinosaur game community, players here are entitled enough to make even the most arrogant of Karens blush.
  20. I'll be too busy trying to find the new limit to breeding anyway, as in how high can I make stats before the game starts to break down? and compare it to ASE, just to flex ASA's superiority
  21. Okay I'm too lazy to read through an pick up on all the complainers so I'll just give my ten cents on this crunch (or at least the parts that matter regarding ASA information.) No movement speed Leveling I rather like this change, it means tames that are never getting used will finally have a purpose again. Like the Carno, it's meant to hybridize speed and power but most would either stick with a raptor and bump speed and melee up a few times or just get a T-rex. Now players will need to think about what they need, do they want to be fast but forgo strength? Do they want to keep the annoying creatures off them bur sacrifice speed? Or do they want the middle ground, out speed the bigger dinosaurs but be tough enough to bully the small fires. Plus it gives flying more meaning. Also I don't play official so this has NO effect on me either way, so if YOU don't play official why are YOU crying? And if you ARE going to play officials in spite of this, why are you STILL complaining? Where's My Cryopods!!! 😭 In the Extinction DLC likely months away from now, They'll return eventually if the information here is anything to go by. Just use the TEK Transponder for now, really the second best thing at the moment No fixing the Mutation Bug I think what people fail to understand, or perhaps just refuse to read is the part that comes right after... The removal of the 255 stat cap for tames. Half the fun in breeding is creating monstrously powerful creatures, so FORCING a 20 mutation cap would defeat the purpose of that, especially since creatures only naturally spawn at a level of 125 (150 on some maps, and 180 for some creatures) and thus only giving 124 points across seven stats, it means that most creatures won't get to take advantage of that blessing even AFTER leveling. If anything the mutation cap should be removed, it doesn't work anyway and WC stated they have no intention on fixing it. Letting tames go above the 20 mutation limit means stats like stamina and carry weight can reach limitless heights. And with more Stamina, it means the speed nerf no longer seems like a hinderance now that you can run longer than before. Not Nerfing the Rhiognatha Why does it need a nerf? It's pretty slow without being able to level speed, and it's currently the only thing that can carry extra big tames now that the Tek Skiff is out of play until Gen Part 1/2. And as mentioned earlier, flying is going to be a critical way of getting around with speed no longer being level-able in official servers. Besides, it can't breed (yet) so its not like EVERY OTHER tame that's going to be able to be bred to insanely high levels and possibly destroy it with ease anyway. Release date when? Trailer When?!? If we take WC's info at face value, ASA should release on the 31st of October. Meaning a Trailer should drop any time between now and then. Possibly during a weekly Crunch, Next Week (Oct 6th) is a bit optimistic so I would say bet on either the 13th, 20th, or 27th (probably that last one). Have patience, Nerva didn't build The New Legion in a day. I'm not going to Buy ASA because (BLAH BLAH BLAH), I'll stay on ASE instead. ... Then why are you still here? You Know all future Crunches will focus more on ASA than it will ASE, and ASE's official servers just went down for good (Good riddance). So why come here? To Troll? For Attention? Well congratulations you got it, along with a person who's just going to "Ignore" you on sight if they haven't done so weeks ago already. You can Have ASE, you will be neither missed or remembered.
  22. Just means players will find some other way to wreck the official scene. but we'll see, not allowing speed leveling means that smaller/faster mounts now have purpose again. (Also, the flyer nerf upseted people more than it did help, mods were even made to reverse it. You know you made a bad decision when your players make mods to undo a decision a developers made. Especially when back them most players hated PvP since the developers ignored PvE)
