  1. I don't think the movement speed thing will be a permanent change, after all the way this crunch is written makes it sound like they are going to do a lot of meticulous tweaking to ensure the game is balanced and performs properly. On the other hand, Many don't play official so it is unlikely this change will affect them at all.
  2. The removal of the stat cap for breeding has me excited on a number of levels! SUPER smart move, especially since many hate official and typically play either on unofficial, on non-dedicated with friends, pr just play in single-player. Also great to see Config file editing isn't going anywhere meaning we can make our own spawns once new maps (and by extension creatures) get added. Shasta's also looking pretty neat, overall this Crunch is worth it's weight in gold! Thanks for the info WC team! Cya next week!
  3. Well, its not the one I would have liked to win but at least a herbivore FINALLY won the vote, now can we PLEASE ban carnivores from all future votes?
  4. Well its not the peek at ASA I was hoping for, but DAMN does Dienotherium look GREAT in UE5! it really helps paint a picture for what official creatures will look like!
  5. We need more herbivores, and we only have one ankylosaur rep, and NO nodosaurids. so of course this is getting my vote
  6. Curious about how we are going to transfer this creature over to other ARKS seeing as usually Aquatics don't play very nice with either the Obelisks or the TEK Transmitter. (Yes I know you can force them to spawn naturally by editing game files, but what about us Console players? I doubt the relevant mods will be up and running on say one of the Center's release)
  7. The new creature looks great and all, but I honestly wouldn't mind seeing more sneak peaks at how the game's going to look on UE5, primarily the dinosaurs
  8. No one is selling your data, that's just fearmongering invented by trolls to upset people. Also what version is that? The buggy one that uses an engine that's nearly a decade out of date? Or the one with your unreasonable and unrealistic demands that simply cannot be met for reasons that have ALREADY been explained? These "Man-Children" have been crying since the announcement of official servers getting unplugged, nothing's changed. They don't care about people who aren't going to buy their product, the only opinions that matter are the people who WILL. It's laughable, they keep saying "Oh I'm not going to buy the new game, WC BAD!!!" yet they insist on sticking around as if people care about their constantly disproven opinions. But if WE call them out, we get punished by the mods for "Harassment" while they get away with spreading more misinformation. Honestly, I think they're doing it to troll at this point. Best just to write them off as such, block them, and move on with your day. I've been playing since early access, so I know this game is great and has a lot more it could offer. It's only limited by the engine it uses, which is why WC intends to update the game to it and give it a total facelift, granting us all sorts of goodies that simply weren't possible on UE4. But do they care? No, they are just upset that now its going to be considerably harder for them to be a jerk in Official servers. Just ignore the problem makers, they can hit us with all the "face palms" they want, it doesn't make either of us wrong.
  9. Aaaaand, Que the complaining... It's like clockwork with these "Not Adults" (can't call them "kids" because that's "hurtful" despite it being fact)
  10. Pretty bad excuse to justify undoing the hard work of mod creators.
  11. Just get ARK Additions when it releases for ASA
  12. It's been planned for ARK Additions, it's just on hold until ASA drops and the developer gets a hold of the mod tools. Wild ARK on the other hand has had ZERO word of porting over so people were at least justified asking for Gigantoraptor and Falso.
  13. Neither of those mods took MONTHS to design their models, nor was anything stated if the owners of said mods were going to port over to the new game. AA on the other hand, has been confirmed that it will port over, so you can't justify your request or make the same comparison.
  14. Dossier Species: Styracosaurus Fortitudo Wild: I have heard tales of the Styrachosaurus during my travels through the jungle, and having encountered a heard of them in the wild I can safely say that the stories are all true. This ceratopsid, despite being smaller than Triceratops, is remarkably strong and hardy! I've seen a juvenile dislodge a fallen rock three times its size to unblock a stream, knock over tree for a morning snack, and even overturn a small house just to get to the roots under the foundation, nothing seems to slow this stocky creature down! Even local predators seem to stay clear, out of fear of getting gored on its elongated nasal horn, or perhaps this animal's mere presence is enough to encourage them to give this otherwise docile herbivore a wide berth? Domesticated: They may be short in stature, but their high weight tolerance and strong will make them ideal companions for hauling resources through the jungles of these islands. Their spiky horns are a natural repellant for smaller predators, and even if a battle was not avoidable it is more than capable of holding its own. The only downside to taming a Styracosaurus i would say, is... Cleaning up the mess after said battle. Be it sun, wind, or storm, Styracosaurus is loyal to the very end. Taming: Interestingly, the styracosaurus in the wild is surprisingly shy around humans. But they can be swayed with its favorite food of rare flowers. Although you can knock it out if the need arises, Survivors have seen much more success simply by hand feeding the animal. Just don't make any sudden moves, less you frighten it away. In game: Yes I know there's already a Skin (and a mod) for Styracosaurus. But Two things. Firstly We don't know if the model for said skin is even going to be in the remaster, or what skins will make it over at all for that matter. And Two, I'm yet to see any word that Kraken will port over their mod to the remaster. and even if they did we still got issue one to deal with in the fact we might not have the OG model to work with anymore. So I'm making this suggestion for the vote (doubt it will get far, kiddos don't like herbivores and have a gross attachment toanything that can be an "Unga Bunga, PVE 4 lyfe Brhu" tame). My idea for Styracosaurus is for it to have an absurd amount of weight reduction, but make it easier to access than the other usual options and easier to tame (despite needing rare consumables to tame). It will also have a Charge attack like the Trike, but unlike our three horned friend, Styracosaurus will inflict bleed instead of knockback. This will become more potent on larger foes, and because why not it can also stack. It will be ridable, but the majority of its stats will be less than that of trikes, even being smaller in size. And as the dossier suggests, it's a passive tame, it will feed on Rare Flowers to soften up to the one taming it, but survviors can't run or have too high movement speed or else it will scamper off, it CAN be knocked out (and tamed though such means like the diplo) but it will aggro if attacked. Also, I'd like to add that we have only TWO ceratopsians, in a game that has an unhealthy obsession with carnivore submissions that either "HAVE TO BE BIGGER THAN T-REX luls", Are identical to another creature, or already ARE a well known modded creature. We already had like 6 carnivores added in a row, let the veggi eaters have a turn in the spotlight.
  15. Are people still confused about how this isn't a "Better Oviraptor"? Oviraptor STEALS and EATS eggs, it doesn't roost them or raise the hatchlings, furthermore Oviraptor speeds up the process for dinosaurs to ley UNINFIRTILIZED eggs while Gigantoraptor doesn't apply any breeding affects aside from imprinting. Think of it this way, Oviraptor is used for kibble making for the babies you are trying to raise while Gigantoraptor is for raising said babies.
  16. What's this? A creature that actually FOLLOWS the original dossier submitted by fans? AND it's not tailored to the PvP bro crowd? did Christmas come early this year?
  17. Okay, everyone and their grandma knew there would be a delay, but honestly I don't care. We are getting Early Access, and from the looks of it ASA is still arriving in the near future. Oh, and the Revamp of the game's Early Tools, look great. This is all great news, looking forward to what lies ahead.
  18. Easy fix, just use multiple feeding troughs. If players are going to take the lazy route to breeding may as well go the full ten yards.
  19. Probably not since there's little reason to ever go into the water save for Artifact runs and The Water sector of Gen Part 1
