Isn't obvious what we are "going to do about that"? 

I just said we are quitting Ark if its not fixed by rag. 

So the action is no additional purchasing of Ark ASA xpacs after gen2 nor buying Ark2.

Obviously that's not the fault of the actual developers, the people who do the work, it's the fault of upper management and the people who own the company, but they are perfectly fine with people giving them money for a sub-standard product.

My issue is my entire tribe has informed me they are quiting the game if this isn't fixed by time rag comes out.

The truth of the matter is that I think they made a HUGE mistake with ARK 1.5 aka Ark Ascension. You see Ark 1.5 is going to use a formula that we know works. Its going to be a remaster of an already great game. If their promises of better graphics, performance, pvp cave balance, and cheat prevention are true then it will be a hit... because it already is without the remaster. 

Now it was stated that their intent is to run ark 1.5 along side ark 2.0. And so here in lies a problem. Ark 2, unlike 1.5, is not using an established winning formula. Its going to be a new formula. Now it is true that it could be better. But considering dark and light and atlas WC seems to have a track record of flops post Ark. 

So the crux of the matter is that not only do they have to make a great game that lives up to expectations but they just created their own competitor game that will provide an even higher bar of excellence they must achieve. 

So I think they are going to make Ark 1.5 which will be a huge success and make them a ton of cash (even if its somewhat underhanded) and Ark 2 is going to be release to much fan fare and then crash and burn when it doesn't provide the ark experience that the ark community loves, hates, and loves (strange I know).

I don't get that. Not bundling them together means that I not only have to rebuy a game but the game will be replaced in a year or so thus I need to buy a new game (ark2) making ark 1.5 a simple cash grab! .... Why would I do that instead of playing other games till ark2 comes out? 

Unless this move is a sign that ark2 is going to be canceled and ASA is all there will be for now.....?

I think the recent changes make it even harder to get ark 1.5 for me. 

Before when ark 2 was bundled with it the offer was more appealing. Do you want us to rebuy a game we already bought? Okay lots of new features so I'd consider that. But now you are asking us to rebuy a game that we all know is going to be shelved once ark 2 comes out and now  we will need to buy that.

That's a harder sell. From my perspective why not just wait for ark2? Plenty of other games out there to tie me over...

That all depends on the soon to be success of ASA or impending failure of it and how hard it is to get the 'premium' status is.

There may still be new content but it will come from the moding community.

From what I have heard from the circles I talk to. Most of the big mega tribes are excited and are coming back for the graphics, engine, and balance overhaul. And by far mostly for the wipe. Most of the pvers I have talked to hate this to the n'th degree.  Pvpers on official tend to have very positive reactions to this.

If I understand correctly you can keep playing this game on unofficial which most already do. You can even keep your progress with the server saves that they will give out. 

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but where are any screen shots or asset pics or even early alpha media from Ark 2? No development twitch streams? Again, maybe I have just missed it but its been how long since the trailer and after that near complete radio silence? Is Ark2 in trouble?

So Classic servers are getting their rates lowered to 4.5?

No mention about grinding to 100 via note runs before building or taming anything as your base is free loot till you get heavy auto turrets. No mention about Wild Card sanctioned cheating via graphics INI mods making it impossible to hide bases in dense forests / jungles. And most importantly no mention of telling players to decide on pvp, pve, official, or unofficial as that determines how to play and start out.

It’s short cuz Barry Seals murdered everyone else along with win diesel. 
 

All Dinos characters structures and uploads will be wiped. 

I hope you guys at WC do shout casting of big fights and interviews with the mega tribe owners on twitch tv like you said you would before season 1.

I have already sub'd a ticket and reported it on the outage form. But my question for the gen forum is, have you guys heard anything as to why its down for so long? Don't know about you but long term outages make me wonder if its an enforcement action.

We'll likely get more information on the nature of the Ship in the new dlc when it's out.

But, most likely, the ship was sent out when the Arks were first launched, as a backup plan in case the Arks failed. So, we haven't given up on Earth.
