    ORP Servers

    I think the discord mod Imperial has a personal agenda against ORP servers. Every hour or so I drop in a simple respectful msg asking for orp servers.

    "@dollie @complexminded Could you please add some PvP ORP servers to the official network."

    I got muted for 2 hours the first time and now 6hours this time by the same mod when none of the other discord mods have warned me for "spam" in the 4-5 days i've been asking for them. Meanwhile for the past 5 days its being spammed with console news requests and now the newest for the past 8 hours its been nothing but different styles of writing "soon" yet i'm flagged for spam when its every hour or so, way past the chat timer.

    We had 2 clusters that were very active till the very end of ASE. Could we please get some for ASA?

     

    I recommend everyone posting in the general chat for ark discord requesting, prolly only way we will get an orp server.

    I think what they mean to say instead of the bullpoop excuse of virtual deployment of their dev team is that they have yet again stretched their resources even more thin by having to deploy to a completely new system such as stadia.

     

    Because lets face it a software based company having to transition to a virtual workspace is like a ice cream man in a truck having to transition to a set driving route to a parking lot. So that excuse is just bullpoop.

     

    Having to make changes to your code to get it working on a completely different system is a whole other ballgame. Not to mention pulling even more resources to start on the 2nd game. 

     

    Oh and the voidwyrm, great the tek wyvern FINALLY makes an appearance as part of a selling point to a new DLC. Not very impressed.

    Its a newsletter, we should not have to guess and read between the lines in a friggin newsletter.

    The official newsletter should of included this information. Instead this msg was given in an unofficial capacity through a tweet.

    I mean you can argue all you want. Having to go through unofficial channels to get information regarding official statements is idiotic.

    At this rate the devs should just put the newsletter out on survivetheark twitter instead of here.

    The server has them disabled for whatever reason and we cant use them or even craft bp's from those engrams on SE.

     

    Official server. Seriously you have been getting spammed and nothing. Tickets, bug reports, server outage reports have been filed daily from all of us on the server and nothing! FIX OUR SERVER!

    • Extinction does not have a large body of water. As you can imagine, the surface of the Earth has undergone some dramatic changes, one of which is that most of the water has dried up.

    Sooooooooo, Scorched Earth then, you did this already, map is still raptored.

    • That said, we did build the Extinction creatures with water in mind, and there should be a few surprises waiting for you when you take them to other maps!

    So Gremlins basically?

    • We think that Cryopods coming in Extinction should help with this problem directly. When a creature has been captured into a Cryopod, it does not count against the tame cap of the server.

    Except new Tek engram wont be unlocked by MOST tribes for quite sometime....and also a ENGRAM AS A CORE MECHANIC FIX? Are you poopting me? Also what happens if dino's are IN these Pods when a server reaches cap? Are they not able to be brought out so are basically stuck in there forever? Great thinking.

    • In addition, Cryopods can be kept forever in a Cryofridge with power, arming players with a powerful tool to work around the limitations of the cap.

    As long as it has power...what if it runs out of power? It dies? Decays after 7 days if not rendered? What happens if power is lost and server is at tame cap? You do realize that the the problem with tame cap is due to HAVING a poopTY KIBBLE system and crap breeding system right?

    • Our hope is that Titans bring a new type of PVE encounter to the game with in-world boss fights and interesting new mechanics that are interesting in themselves.

    So basically Rex/Other dinos mass attack? Cuz Titanosaurus's worked out so well and are tough.....*coughsinglelightingwyverncough* Real....interesting.

    • Once tamed, Titans are very powerful. They can clear space and take down lots of dinos quickly making them good for area cleanup or meat runs.

    .........cuz there arent tons of other dino's that can do quick meat runs that prolly wont take the sacrifice of your unborn child to tame.

    ROFL, im glad you finally made this decision about THEE core mechanic of your game. Ever ride a Trike.....its hella fun.

    • The Defense Units found within Extinction are part of the automated force that served and defended the city before it fell into disarray. These days they like to roll around and punch Dodos. They aren’t craftable like the other Robots found within the city (such as the Scout or Enforcer), but we felt like they brought a missing piece to the ecosystem there, namely punching Dodos.

    If i log in and dont ever see these guys "punching" dodo's imma be pissed. #brokenpromises

    • In addition, a number of existing creatures have been corrupted by Element and they roam the wasteland. These creatures will not behave as they would traditionally, instead destroying anything that gets in the way of their hunt for additional Element to consume.

    So basically you made wild dino's*pause*aggressive? This.is.groundbreaking. I gotta see this in action first hand.

    You guys are breaking some new ground here with the release of this massive Q&A. Took me awhile to read there was just so much information worth reading.

    You originally had bug fixes and QoL changes planned to be released with this patch!

    You removed them when badart4badark showed up. Stating after this TLC you were going to focus on Bugs and QoL changes.

    Ya okay, like we arent smart enough to know you are just playing us. Removing the bug fixes and QoL and pretending like the next patch was JUST FOR US.

    I have no doubt all the fixes you HAD planned to release with this patch are going to be in the next patch while you pretend thee entire time you have our best interest in mind and badart4badark worked.

    "Hey guys remove the bug fixes and QoL from this next TLC patch and just put them out later and claim we were "listening", they'll never know weve already had these fixes sitting around ready for deployment. It'll totally fool them. In the mean time Bob since you have nothing to do for 3-4 weeks since you arent fixing bugs you can work on the next DLC and make sure its very mod compatible so our modders can fix our game and make it better, then we'll just hire them when it gets popular and have them work on something COMPLETELY different than the original work
