yeah, this is probably the case. Single player gives more stats per level than playing on a server(one player vs many players) anyway. the default for health and melee affinity gain is .8 I believe. the value of 1 was nerfed a few years ago down to the .8 of today, but they did give us the opportunity to revert that by adjusting the setting.
I wouldnt say they messed anything up. Ark is the kind of game that gets constant updates, and when those updates increment the major patch version, servers have to be updated. Unofficial servers will always appear offline until they update. this is the way it has ALWAYS been. look at it this way, at least its not the ignored switch version... I did dip into my single player for a couple minutes and it looks like they may have bumped up the settings a bit for the stadia client (not sure if subjective or actual result though), so it looks like there was some improvement if that is the ca
enabling us to use dedicated servers would be amazing too. I know that the OP was referring to non-dedicated servers, but we really need a good environment to get with friends. Official PVE servers are a pillar hell making it extremely difficult.
