  1. Shantungosaurus: Are you tired of slow walking sauropods like the titanosaur or bronto holding your mobile base? Do you want to plough through vegetation like nothing, waddle through water with your base, all while also decimating threats? Look no further than the shantungosaurus! This magnificent beast is of the hadrosaur family and comes from the late cretaceous and grew to a stunning height of 6 meters and reached lengths of 16.6 meters weighing 16 tonnes, that’s the weight of 21 cows! They were also THE largest non-sauropod land creature to ever exist. Their size helped them ward off even the largest threats as near nothing matched its immense size and weight. When provoked they stood on their hind legs and ran surprisingly fast for their body structure. In the wild: In tall forest and jungles, the shantungosaurus can be seen grazing in small herds along with their young, chowing down on berries. The shant takes great care in their young protecting them at all costs. When it sees a carnivore around which could endanger its children, the Shant receives a rivalry buff similar to the trike and goes from passive to territorial, attacking carnivores if they get too close. When attacking they stand on their hind legs delivering decimating stomps and tail swipes using their tail, throwing them back only to charge at them dealing more damage. Taming: When taming its general idea to separate the target tame from the herd or massacre the rest leaving the target alone. The shant itself has thick skin making it hard for most projectiles to pierce dealing massively reduced damage, with one exception, the Ballista turret! Once the bolt is coated with narcotics, the tranq bolt becomes the perfect shant tamer. To most other dinos it will deal a lot more damage than torpor but due to the shants thick skin it deals less damage and so more torpor. However, the shant will only gain torpor when shot in the stomach or underside which is easier to shoot while it is on its hind legs, about to attack leaving only a small window to shoot. The shant will continue attacking both the player and the ballista until it reaches a high enough torpor at which it will run, in situations like this, traps or barriers are very helpful. Once knocked out you will not need you to feed it, simply equip a saddle and there you have your shant. Domesticated: The Shant is an enormous beast rivalling the size of even the giga! With its immense size it harbors a great amount of health and weight also having a 15% overall damage reduction and 40% against projectiles. Its massive muscular tail is used to throw enemies, how far they are thrown is dependent on their drag weight where the less drag weight they have the further they are thrown. The Shant has 2 modes or stances, with different attack sets, Quadruped stance, and Biped stance. The quadruped stance is its default stance withal 4 legs on the ground. The Biped stance increases speed, damage output and attack efficiency i.e., tail swipe throws further, at the cost of higher stamina use. As the shant takes damage and its health drops it damage increases proportionally maxing out at 20% health gaining 2x damage. The shant, having massive muscular legs can carry a enormous amount of weight, giving you the option to equip a platform saddle (190 structure limit, also disables bipedal stance), all while being able to travel at half decent speeds. if you don’t want to sacrifice the bipedal stance and turn the shant into an absolute war beast, you can opt for the tek saddle variant which has multiple turrets and slightly reduces stamina use when attacking and traveling. If there is ever any trees or vegetation in the way, simply sprint into them to send them falling. Abilities summary (tamed): · Immense health plus damage reduction · Extra projectile damage reduction · Throwing tail swipe (based on drag weight) · Quadrupedal / Bipedal stance (no platform saddle) · Extra damage the lower the health · Large platform saddle · War tek saddle · Water wading/travel Attacks: Change stance : left ctrl Quadrupedal Stance: 1) Left click = Headbutt: a standard attack that does decent damage and slight knockback. Collects thatch and berries. 2) Right click = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) 3) Hold Right click = Charge: a short burst of speed that would charge toward a target stunning the target on impact, (with delay to separate tail swipe and charge) 4) C = roar: a loud bellowing call, purely aesthetic 5) X = stomp: a slightly heavier hitting attack that has no knockback. Collects wood and berries in a radius around the dino. Bipedal Stance: 1) Left click = Claw swipe: a standard attack that does good damage with no knockback. Collects thatch and berries. 2) Right click = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) 3) Hold Right click = Charge: a short burst of speed that would charge toward a target stunning the target on impact, (with delay to separate tail swipe and charge) 4) C = roar: a loud bellowing, purely aesthetic 5) X = Tail Slam: an extremely powerful attack that breaks opponents’ bones and stuns for a short period of time, it sets the dino back to quadruped stance and has a large cooldown, Sorry for no artwork, but here are some images of the shant itself!
  2. post this in the comments of the other deinocheirus submissions, do not submit them separately
  3. Deinocheirus · The clicks of the deinocheirus are one of the most terrifying things you could ever hear, just like the shoebill stork, they click their bill together creating a loud echoing sound that sends shivers through anyone’s spines. · They are a large herbivorous dinosaur, around the size of a spino lurking in rivers and swampy areas · They have a habit of storing globs of mud in their bills and spitting them out at nearby enemies slowing them down in the process, adobe bricks can be used from their inventory to increase damage. · Being such a large bulky creature, it harbours a significant amount of health at the cost of speed. · Its thick fur allows it to take less damage from attacks and even less from projectiles. · It could have a water buff like the spino, as they lived near swamps and damp places. · Their long claws allow them to catch fish by dipping them in shallow rivers and putting them in fish baskets in their inventory. · In PVP it will have increased damage to structures and be useful for base raids. Attacks: 1) Bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries from bushes, wood from trees and hide from bodies 2) Claw swipe: a more brutal attack that causes bleed, can harvest fibre, thatch, and meat. 3) Tail slam: an extremely powerful attack that knocks targets back far (based on drag weight) 4) Bill clicks: a roar type ability where the dino will its bill together multiple times creating a loud and terrifying click sound, purely cosmetic.
  4. The Hadrosaur family is a very underrated family with many knowing only of the Parasaur or iguanadon, so ive wanted to bring my own hadrosaur into the new submissions. I, like many others, have struggled to portray ideas due to lack of artistic skill that many other submissions have, and because of this many great ideas are not noticed at first, so don’t always just look at the main post, hidden gems could be hidden right below and should be considered more by the community. I love the rocky look of the titanosaur and would also like to see it on this massive beast as well, I would also like a more significant beak, the look that the Isle gave it is absolutely amazing, really hope that wildcard don’t disappoint. I am fully not expecting any of these ideas to go into the game. Good luck to all the other submissions, dinos and ideas! Shantungosaurus: The Shantungosaurus was a large hadrosaur from the late cretaceous period, it weighed around 16 metric tons reaching heights of 6 meters and reaching lengths of 16.6 meters, dwarfing most therapods like the T-rex, and even some sauropods, their size isn’t one to be taken lightly. Most creatures of its time would not dare touch the shant as they stood no chance to it immense size and weight, they were also very fast for their size. In the wild: The Shant can be seen towering over the large Jungles of the centre, surrounded by luscious greenery and animals. Its immense size wards off most predators creating a somewhat safe haven for the more docile creatures around, in return they protect the Shant in the case of any threats. When it sees a carnivore around which could endanger its followers, the Shant receives a rivalry buff similar to the trike. When provoked, the followers will all begin to attack to protect the Shant, this also includes flyers that can get you from the air. Taming: To tame, you must first kill all of the surrounding dinos, giving clear access to the Shant itself however most projectiles will not affect the giant beast, in this case the ballista turret works best, in it a tranq spear bolt. Once the Shant begins taking damage, it will attack back, standing on its hind legs delivering super damaging stomps, during which, docile creates who wander into the battle will join the Shant and attack. Its always best to trap the Shant before taming as once it gets high on torpor it will run away , making it harder to shoot with the ballista, once knocked out it will not need food to tame, just equip a saddle, similar to the titanosaur. Domesticated: The Shant is an enormous beast rivalling the size of even the giga! With its immense size it harbors a great amount of health and weight also having a 15% overall damage reduction and 40% against projectiles. Its massive tail is used to throw enemies, how far they are thrown is dependant on their drag weight where the less drag weight they have the further they are thrown. The Shant has a roar that buffs all tamed dinos attack and defence slightly with a big bonus to herbivores. The Shant has 2 modes or stances, similar to the TLC spino, with different attacks, Quadruped stance and Biped stance. The quadruped stance is its default stance withal 4 legs on the ground and gains the ability to charge. The Biped stance reduces the speed of the dino but increases damage output and attack efficiency i.e., tail swipe throws further , it also gains the Heavy Stomp ability. Attacks Change stance= Z Quadruped stance: 1) Left click = Headbutt: a standard attack that does decent damage and slight knockback. Collects thatch and berries. 2) Right click = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) 3) Hold Right click = Charge: a short burst of speed that would charge toward a target stunning the target on impact, (with delay to separate stomp and charge) 4) C = roar: a loud bellowing call that gives all nearby tamed dinos a defence buff with a bonus to herbivores 5) X = stomp: a slightly heavier hitting attack that has no knockback. Collects wood and berries in a radius around the dino. Bipedal stance: (+ damage, - speed) 1) Left click = Claw swipe: a standard attack that does good damage with no knockback. Collects thatch and berries. 2) Right click = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) 3) C = roar: a loud bellowing call that gives all nearby tamed dinos a defence buff with a bonus to herbivores 4) X = Heavy stomp: an extremely powerful attack that breaks opponents’ bones and stuns for a short period of time, it sets the dino back to quadruped stance and has a large cooldown,
  5. Why are there 3 deinocheirus pages, poat them on a single one in the comments
  6. still stunned to see yi qi win, honestly never thought it would win, super bummed that the spiders and koolasuchus didnt win, hopefully they have another chance in the future, disappointing
  7. Originally not for aberration, just putting my ideas out there Shantungosaurus: The shantungosaurus was a large hadrosaur from the late cretaceous period, it weighed around 16 metric tons reaching heights of 6 meters and reaching lengths of 16.6 meters, dwarfing most therapods like the T-rex, and even some sauropods, their size isn’t one to be taken lightly. Most creatures of its time would not dare touch the shant as they stood no chance to it immense size and weight. they were also very fast for their size. The shant is every herbivores best friend, they gather around the shant, similar to carnos around the yuty, to protect it in case of trouble, buffing its followers in return (wild). The shant hates carnivores, receiving the Rivalry buff when near large carnivorous threats. Its incredible size means it can hold an immense amount of health and weight. Its thick hide allows it to take less damage from attacks and even less from projectiles. Its massive muscular tail are used to throw enemies far inducing massive damage. If an attacker does not let up, the shant will stand on its hind legs, similar to the iguanodon to parasaur stance while also increasing its attack but decreasing its speed. In its stance form it gains the ability to do a large stomp where it smashes it front legs into the ground, breaking enemy’s bones while going back to its quadruped stance then receiving a cooldown for the stance. its large sack under their snouts can be used to create low bellowing calls that echo through mountains. Possible taming methods: You must first kill or knock out the shants followers giving you access to hit the shant itself, during which its followers will attack you to protect the shant Similar to taming the brachi from ark additions, where you shoot its hind legs while it is in bipedal stance where it will then knock out, during the process it will chase and attack you. Similar to golem taming where you will hit its head with a canon until it knocks out . Attacks Quadruped stance: Left click = Headbutt: a standard attack that does decent damage and slight knockback. Collects thatch and berries. Right click = Foot stomp: a slightly heavier hitting attack that has no knockback. Collects wood and berries in a radius around the dino. C = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) Hold Right click = Charge: a short burst of speed that would charge toward a target stunning on impact Bipedal stance: (extra damage - speed) Left click = Claw swipe: a standard attack that does good damage with no knockback. Collects thatch and berries. Right click = Foot stomp: a slightly heavier hitting attack that has no knockback. Collects wood and berries in a radius around the dino (. C = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) X = Large stomp: an extremely powerful attack that breaks its opponents’ bones and stuns for a short period of time, it sets the dino back to quadruped stance and has a large cooldown,
  8. some quick ideas Deinocheirus The clicks of the deinocheirus are one of the most terrifying things you could ever hear, just like the shoebill stork, they click their bill together creating a loud echoing sound that sends shivers through anyone’s spines. They are a large herbivorous dinosaur, around the size of a spino lurking in rivers and swampy areas They have a habit of storing globs of mud in their bills and spitting them out at nearby enemies slowing them down in the process, adobe bricks can be used from their inventory to increase damage. Being such a large bulky creature, it harbours a significant amount of health at the cost of speed. Its thick fur allows it to take less damage from attacks and even less from projectiles. It could have a water buff like the spino, as they lived near swamps and damp places, however when entering waters, it covers itself with a layer of grass and mud allowing it to camouflage. Their long claws allow them to catch fish by dipping them in shallow rivers and putting them in fish baskets in their inventory. In PVP it will have increased damage to structures and be useful for base raids. Attacks: 1) Bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries from bushes, wood from trees and hide from bodies 2) Claw swipe: a more brutal attack that causes bleed, can harvest fibre, thatch, and meat. 3) Mud spit: spits out mud or adobe from its mouth onto oncoming threats, mud slows and does low damage and adobe doesnt slow but does good damage 4) Bill clicks: a roar type ability where the dino will its bill together several times creating a loud and terrifying click sound, purely cosmetic.
  9. i think its a bit too op, maybe even better than the titan, make it smaller, not as small as the brachi but very slightly bigger, id say take out the platform saddle and make it a full on battle monster, also give it a need for sleep like the megalosaurus so it cant be fighting all the time, i really dont want something to overtake the titanosaur or even the giga as the ruler as they have already been cemented in the game as being so, and doing it now in ASA would be disrespectful in my opinion. but i really love the idea as it gives more to the sauropods ( also lets give it some spikes on the back for some added aggressiveness, not really accurate but ark has changed most dinos in the game)
  10. i love the carriage idea, it could work like a platform saddle that is lower to the ground rather than the really tall platform saddles on sauropods, it would also be more stable, and the more bulls you put on the faster it goes and the more weight it can hold, like you said, there could be multiple types of saddles for traveling and combat aswell, really cool idea rather than the other battle hungry dinos in the vote
  11. First of all, id like to credit both Sasquatch69 and Xgaming08 for their submissions of this creature in previous votes and thank you for the ideas What i want this creature to be is a large tanky, herbivorous, theri like dino that will overtake the theri as it is very commonly used in dragon boss battles because it is a herbivore that takes less damage from the dragon. overall though it would be all-round dino with good material collection like the theri, ok dps but with high health and damage reduction. The deinocheirus was around 6000 - 7000 kilograms (around 2k less than an average rex), although i would like it to be more spino sized. it could be a real TANK due to its large size and bulkiness, less damage from attacks and has a substantial amount of health. it could have high range due to its lengthy arms. it wouldn't do crazy damage against most dinos, maybe a boost against flyers. It could have a special damage boost against bases/structures, useful for multiplayer servers and SOTF. It would be slow considering its size and its short legs. most projectiles wouldnt do as much damage or torpor due to its thick fur and skin. (around 50% damage) Due to its large size it could carry A LOT of weight making it a mobile large storage box. it could have a water buff like the spino as they lived near swamps and damp places. If you try to tame it while it has a child or egg around it will be aggressive, however it will usually be passive. The dino was known to love water and eat fish so how about having a fish trap like ability where it sinks its claws into the water and waits for fish to pass, it could also stab small aquatic creatures in a single swipe for a quick feed. its attacks could be: 1) simple bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries from bushes with its mouth, wood from trees and hide from bodies. 2) claw swipe: a more brutal attack that can cause bleed as well as having fibre, thatch and meat harvesting capabilities. 3) body slam: An extremely powerful attack with a cool down that Involves a jump and a wwe style move that deals massive damage, stun, aswell as dismounting. OR 4) tail whip: a swing of the tail that creates a loud whip crack, stunning nearby dinos and grounding close flyers (more fit for sauropods but cool idea) We really need more useful herbivores/omnivores in ark rather than just for collecting resources, this dino would be used as much as the usual carnivore Good luck to all creature submissions!!
  12. again, not suited for scorched earth or this vote, it just beat shuntangosaurus who id say is one of the better ones
  13. these ideas arent really fit for a singular map, if these ideas were added into the game it would be for more than 1 map at least, even if this dino was added, they would change it to a oversized terror bird that protects eggs, i feel like wildcard arent looking for utility dinos for scorched earth but more scorched earth specialised dinos, made only for the map, the idea is great, but not for this vote
  14. these ideas arent really fit for a singular map, if these ideas were added into the game it would be for more than 1 map at least, i feel like wildcard arent looking for utility dinos for scorched earth but more scorched earth specialised dinos, made only for the map, the idea is great, but not for this vote
  15. its already too late, this has taken 1st place and most likely will stay here, even the top 10 is basically solidified, its just a battle between the order of them, the dinos in this new vote are the same as ever, influenced by big names. there is just soo many dinos who fit way better in this category but will never have the chance to win these. these votes are pretty rigged, mainly by the community. personally i was rooting fot the shantungosaurus or the barsboldia sicinskii who have more potential
