  1. Agreed, more default realistic colours would be nice to have. I never cared for the event colours, It takes a bit away from breeding when some of the funky colours can just be found randomly in the wild on events.
  2. The wiki does state the grab inflicts about 10 torpor per second and there appears to be no way to increase that. Having knocked out a few things using this method I can confirm that it's slow and not really worth doing. As for the lifesteal, I'm pretty sure that takes affect when you have a grabbed creature and are actively attacking it (using the crush prey attack) I am unsure if increasing the melee damage of the Tuso increases the amount of health restored, but it probably increases the damage dealt by the crush attack.
  3. I have a few phobias myself that do translate to video games, but I've managed to conquer a couple of them somewhat in video games through exposure to them. Thalassophobia is probably the biggest one I have which is ironic because I actually love water content in games. But once I get into a situation where it's endless water with limited visibility.. oh boy do things get very uncomfortable. In ARK it pretty much kept me near the shore for a long time, wouldn't go deep in the water, especially at night. But it's not a problem for me anymore.. still makes me uncomfortable but I deal with it much better than I used to. I can thank the Subnautica games mostly for helping me overcome this phobia, as well as SOMA to some degree and ARK. It doesn't do jack for the real world though XD But at least in games I can conquer it now.

    Vin diesel Role

True, though Vin is a huge ARK fan from what I hear so I have to wonder if he's actually being paid the kind of money he's used to for his acting/VA work, or if he's involved with the game far more because he's a fan and he really wants to be.
  5. Definitely high up my vote list this one, great creature concept with the charge light plus ARK defintely needs more Ceratopsidae creatures imo. Best of luck in the vote ^^
  6. Love this thing, definitely a big fan of the weird overlooked creatures. It's sadly not going to be my first pick but it's definitely my close second ^^ Great creature choice.
  7. Love the creature design, looks wicked. But adding another flying/gliding creature to Aberration is something I just can't justify sorry.. there's already far too many of them already imo. Still, would love to see this in the game sometime so I hope it wins one of these competitions, just not for this map.
  8. Nice, I had the same idea concept with defence but I never thought of having Hallucigenia as a living weapon you could swing around.. That's a very interesting idea that I can see a lot of potential in. Imagine if Hallucigenia was able to be equipped as spikey armour, used as a spikey whip that could bleed things, used as a long range weapon that shoots slime to slow down creatures and players or even thrown as a Bola to completely immobilise players and small to medium creatures for a short time.. possibly leaving them wounded/crippled after being let go. That would be so cool
  9. Back again with Hallucigenia, lets go!!! Unfortunately I don't have an alternative idea for hallucigenia on Aberration, my original idea being for a water creature doesn't quite work on Aberration since there is so little water on the map.. though it's not impossible I guess. But nevertheless, I am backing this creature again and all your ideas for it. Hallucigenia definitely looks like something that would haunt the Aberration map and I really hope we can get it in the top 10 this time ^^ Good Luck fellow hallucigenia advocates, lets get this worm in the game!! ^^
  10. It maybe an oviraptoran but it's still a "Raptor" so while I agree oviraptors are underrepresented, Raptors in general are if anything overrepresented, often inaccurately due to their popularity, largely thanks to a certain popular movie series more than anything. I'm all for giving Oviraptors a TLC too for the record, they're not a dino I see many people use.. and they obviously need a model update too to add feathers which it almost certainly had. As far as feathers go I agree that large and even small feathered theropods are underrepresented. I have no issue with more being added to the game so long as WC don't end up pandering to the "everything had feathers" people who outright deny evidence and/or lack of evidence that counter their fantasies about things like the fluffy adult "featherd T-rex".. From what we know, or more accurately the evidence points to, is that most of the late Jurassic theropod species specifically, were scaled creatures, not feathered like most of the older therapods species likely were.
  11. I agree that they need TLC's, I've supported that exact thing for a long time.. albeit more on Steam Forums. Water content is one of the things that is grossly neglected imo, not just in ARK but in a lot of games over all to be honest, and personally it bugs me a lot, especially when there's a general attitude like: "oh it sucks anyway, why waste time fixing it when you can just make more content we already have an abundance of.." That's not something I specifically hear often about ARK thankfully, but it is in some other games I play where Water content is neglected. In my mind if I love a game then I want every single aspect of it to be amazing, I can understand if some people are not particularly fond of some of those aspects but I'll never understand those who actively want the parts they are not fond of to be so bad they put other people off enjoying them. Personally I don't like the way ARK's PvP is, but I don't go around wishing it was garbage so nobody else could enjoy it.. that's just pointlessly spiteful. But yes some new water creatures would be of some improvement though, certainly better than water getting nothing at all The problem with new water creatures is mainly the limited amount of maps they can even qualify for. Island basically only has a border, though it does have two water caves which is at least something for water content. Scorched Earth has no water content at all. Aberration has pretty much no water content either. Extinction, same thing.. basically no water content. Genesis Pt1 does have the ocean Biome, and the only water boss creature in the entire game which is arguably the only serious attention water content has gotten since the first ARK map. But it's just one small part of a larger map that has no other water content at all, so chances of a new water dino there are very unlikely as most people would prefer a creature that could be universally used in all the unique biomes. And Genesis Pt2 has some underwater area's. but to be fair Genesis Pt2 has a severe lack of biome diversity in general which is truly a wasted opportunity considering how ridiculously massive the map is. The sponsored Mod maps are where the good bulk of ARK's large water areas actually are, Rag in particular is, in my opinion the most fitting map that a new Water creature could have won on. That's in part why I was disappointed the win didn't go to one. Though I do admit i am also disappointed that of all the finalists many of which were unique creatures ARK has very little or none of, the creature that won was another Raptor.. a creature we already have so many variants of in the game already, along with a few different species. That's not to say i'm not happy for those that really wanted this creature in the game, I am happy for them, even if I am personally disappointed and would have preferred any of the other finalist creatures to win instead. Water deserves more love in ARK, creature TLC's, more content and new creatures too, and I know i'm not the only one who is calling for it. There's quite a few of us who want ARK's Water content to be awesome, and terrifying
  12. Very disappointed that a water creature yet again missed out and are rapidly running out of maps they can even be voted on.. Still congratulations on the win all the same, despite the abundance of raptors already in the game I hope WC does something really cool with this one.
  13. Hell yeah we do. It's not like ARK has many maps with large water area's either. That's why my top vote is going to this creature. I know there are a lot of cool land creatures getting into these top tens and I'd love to see most of them in the game at some point. But there's only so many maps that a water creature can win on.. and I have to take that into account as well. Water creatures need a win!! while there's still maps for them to be on.
