    I'm not denying the whole thing was bad and could/should have been handled much better, but still doesn't mean they lied about anything. At the end of the day an apology would just fix hurt feelings. At least they explained why it is no longer free, not like it was complete radio silence.

    Have you ever said something and then later down the line things change for whatever reason and that changes the outcome of what you had previously said? If so (which pretty much everyone will have experienced that) do people point fingers at you and call you a liar?

    There is a choice, multiple choices.... 1. Buy ASA 2. Don't buy ASA and stick with ASE (single player, unofficial) 3. Don't buy ASA, stop playing ASE, and move on. Point is no-one is forcing you to spend your money. You have choices, yes they may not be great choices, but if you are so unhappy then maybe it is time to forget it all? You'll only end up stressing yourself out over a game, and that's unhealthy.

    No-one is forcing your hand. You may feel you have no choice, but you do, you just don't want to admit it. They aren't going to make ASE a game worth staying with. That's the reason ASA exists because that is the future for ARK 1. What ASE is like now is how it will be in the future, besides the last content update that will come next month.

    LMAO I don't need to watch Loaded, I know what's going on. But no-one is forcing you to pay for anything. There is no pre-order, and there will likely be no pre-order. This means you won't be expected to pay a single cent before you see the gameplay, and even if there was a pre-order no-one is forcing you to pay. What news do you want from them? Gameplay? They've already confirmed that will come shortly before launch just like it did with ARK 1.

    Maybe ASA isn't on Steam yet because there's no trailer or images to put up on the store page?

    I know that's why you were asking, and that's why I was answering that they haven't confirmed about dinos exactly. You won't get the devs coming to this thread and answering your question, so I just clarified what the current situation is.

    They haven't confirmed they are doing the dinos, it's just that if they are doing it for characters and other assets then it's highly likely it will include the dinos as they'd look rather out of place.

    August 31st is the release date but expect a little pushback into September to avoid disappointment.

    Probably not for a while as Aberration won't be released for some time, assuming Aberration will be a community one.

    The thing with the first vote is people get their friends to come along to the forum and vote up submissions whether they still play the game or not or even if they don't play at all. This means you get a lot of people voting just to help out specific submissions. The issue then comes with round 2, often getting those same people to come back and vote a second time for the exact same thing usually results in diminishing results. Therefore the results of round 2 look very different from round 1.

    Gen 1 comes out sometime in June and Gen 2 will be out in October.

    Alpha Brood and Alpha Megapithecus should give you 30 levels extra. I would suggest trying either to kill yourself so you respawn, or upload yourself to an obelisk and see if that fixes it. I know sometimes i've had to do that for my implant and stats to update.

    You guys are all in denial. They've listed a load of stuff they are doing and there will be more. ASA is meant to be developed in parallel with ARK 2, it is NOT a stop gap.

    They are doing a lot more than a simple port. Read the Roadmap update as to how it has changed from a port to a lot more.

    The basic port to UE5 was scrapped, which is why it is now becoming ASA. You're either not up on what's been happening or you're in denial.
