  1. Jeholopterus - Corruption vampire Extinction is map that is largely defined by it's corruption. Through out the wasteland are hundreds of corrupted creatures that are highly aggressive, that players must face in nearly every circumstance. There are many creatures that are great against corrupted creatures like the enforcer, but there isn't creature that specialises fighting against this corruption. Introducing - Jeholopterus, the dracula for the corrupted. Species: Jeholopterus ninchengensis Time: Middle-Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: For once, I can say I'm lucky when it comes to coming across deadly animals across this wastelands. Jeholopterus is a small predator that only preys on element infested beast and has no interest on hariming non corrupted animals. They can be found all around the wasteland preying on unsuspecting infected organism. Alone these small aggressive flyers tend to hunt smaller corrupted animals like raptors, in a similar way to desmodus draculae. The creaute crapples down on smaller corrupted creatures and sucks out the element from them, killing the victim. Due to it's small size an unattended Jeholopterus is too weak to face off larger predaotrs, however I've heard from other survivors of large Jeholopterus packs hunting down corrupted dinosaurs like a rex. According to them, they saw the entire pack of these element suckers fly on to the tyrannosaurs back and begin to suck it's life out. To make things worse for anyone corrupted, I've learned that the more Jeholopterus feeds on element, the more viscious and routhless they become. They become faster, stronger and even a small pack of 3 is enough to kill the strongest corrupted animal and that only leaves them more hungry for element. Abilities and features: A shoulder pet for your dinos: Jeholopterus is a bit too large for it to be your average shoulder pet (about the same size as a seeker from aberration.) To carry them around, they will latch on to your tames and depending the size of your tame, you can carry multiple of them. Latch ability: Similar to the deinonychus, these small vampires will latch onto their prey and eat them alive. Combined this with the dino carrying mechanic, you can command an army of flying jehos on a large mount. Tek and corruption mode: Because the jeholopterus is all about eating element, it has two modes for taking out element invested foes. The first is corrupted, this is all for taking out corrupted creatures and best suited for orbital supply drops and elemental veins. When this mode is active, every corrupted creature in the area will be highlighted in a purple outline, making them visible through to the terrain, making it impossible for them to hide from you. Besides that, this mode also gives them a massive buff against corrupted dinos. When a jeho latches onto a corrupted dino, the prey will get a massive speed debuff, damage degrees and will take more damage from other attacks (this ability will stack depending how many jehos are latched onto one creature). In this mode, jeho will be able to detect any orbital supply drop or elemental vein on the map. And for a visual effect, the creature will have a purple tint. The second is tek mode Tek mode is perfect for PvP. This mode will outline anything tek related near them (Survivors wearing tek, tek structures, meks, tek creatures etc). The atennas on their head will have a tiny EMP ability that will disable tek turrets near them. They also do increased damage to anything tek and when latched onto a tek creature or mek, will significantly slow the victim down and drain them of their element, leaving them vulnerable to anything around them. For visual effect, the jeho will have a blue tint. other notes: •When hunting corrupted creatures, the Jeholopterus might have a chance to harvest unstable element. •they will glow any dark places around them with their atennas. This submission was inspired by the Scraplets from Transformers Prime
  2. I've thinking about how extinction could get a complete rework, from the map, creatures, bosses n all. The maps reception was decently positive but left a lot to be desired and there were many fronts that could be improved like the boss fights. I feel like with extinction, we could see something completely new when it comes to this map, what do u guys think?
  3. Ragnaroks volcano area is dying for something to freshen it up: Ragnaroks volcanos are boring and uninteresting, with the only reason to go even near the area is because of the wyvern trench. Ragnaroks volcano area is famous for its looks and its once in a blue moon erupting volcano, but there isn't anything besides looks and a few valuable resources that draws players into that area. it barely has any interesting creatures there, with there being only insects and golums, but what if we they changed that? What if ARK introduced a creature that could change how we view Ragnaroks volcano forever... Introducing the Isisaurus! Abilities: Wyverns ultimate nightmare: Because the Isisaurus lives near wyverns, one of ARK's most formidable predators, it should be equipped to deal with them. While a massive herbivore thats stuck on the ground, Isisaurus has grown around its envoirement and can handle whatever the volcanic death zone can throw at it. Fire, poisonous air, and electricity are barely enough to give the titan a scratch. If a wyvern or any other flying predator dares to get close to it, the sauropod has dozens of large spikes on its neck, back, and tail that can land a heavy blow to the winged giant, causing bleed and grounding it, leaving it open for the Isisaurus to get more up close and personal.Intense body heat: With the animals adaptation to intensely heated areas, the Isisaurus has evolved to have incredible body heat, which allows it to live in volcanic conditions. But thats not the only thing strong body heat brings to the Isisaurus! The creature's internal fire is so powerful that smaller nearby predators and insects (carnos, raptors, and mantis spiders) are put off by it and choose to flee the area, which can significantly help tribes with a small base. The sauropod's heat also helps survivors who live in colder environments. Players who choose to have an isisaurus in their freezing base will be awarded with large surrounding warmth for their entire base, which removes the fear of hypotherima while also insulating eggs that need warmth to hatch! Powerful stomp and dust cloud: With Isisaurus massive size, it has the ability to hind up its legs and deliver a powerful stomp that inflicts heavy damage to anyone close enough to it. Not only that, because of the strong stomp, a large cloud of dust is created as a result, which blinds and suffocates any creature that's overshadowed by it. Can walk on lava: The Isisaurus has morphed into the perfect organism that can survive any volcanic environment; thus, it has no fear of lava! While prolonged exposure to it will do drastic damage to the creature, the isisaurus can handle the scorching flames of lava for long periods of time with no real concern, allowing it to move around in areas that no other creature could with its size. Health and speed boost when around an erupting volcano: Even for an animal like Isisaurus, it is weary of the dangers of an erupting volcano. The animal is so weary of them that, when one arrives, it hardens its skin for any incoming flying debris and also moves faster to get away from any threat caused by the volcano. This biological mechanism brings a lot of opportunities for players, its hardened skin makes it tougher to kill, and its faster speed makes it easier to cover large distances with such a large specimen Ultimate charchole gatherer: Ragnarok's volcanic area has a lot of charred-up trees. If a survivor is in need of charchole for gunpowder, then they can use the isisaurus to gather an absurd amount of charchole in the surrounding area. Tailwhip bleed attack: Since the isisaurus has a extremely spikey tail, any foolish creature to attack it from behind will recieve a tailwhip that causes immense bleed. In the wild and taming method: In the wild, isisaurus tend to be very close to one another, to keep each other company. This also means that they have their young very close to them and are extremely aggressive to any animal that gets even slightly close to their offspring. Because the animal is so powerful and difficult to take down.. the only way to tame it, is to steal its babies and raise them yourself. This creates an interesting new way to tame an animal. You can't just steal their eggs, you have to steal their young, and that creates a host of new challenges, like the fact you can't pick up the animal with the flyer or the fact it's a large baby that's slow and difficult to bring back to base. I hope you all find this entry interesting and if anyone has any more ideas for this creature, please let me know and I'll add them to the post!
