  1. Also, boosted damage to or ignoring the damage reduction of shelled creatures like turtles, dunkleos, etc. would make sense.
  2. This is my #1 pick. I love the idea of an early game shadowmane focused more on exploration and utility instead of combat. I think it would be cool to use as a ring leader for the standard otters. It could mark silica and black pearl collection points similar to the desmodus screech, and the normal otter would collect as many as they can at a boosted rate without being encumbered, and return to dump them in the dire otter's inventory. This would still keep the angler relevant because you would have to risk your otters in the open ocean, and it would play into the highly social behavior of real world otters.
  3. Creature voting is broken. Still have to use the saveworld command every time I want to log off or enter a cave on single player or non-dedicated on playstation because of the constant crashes. Leaving your current product a mess like this doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the quality of upcoming projects. What have all of the patches claiming to fix crashing issues actually been doing? I haven't noticed a difference. If anything the game is worse off now than a year ago. (Tinfoil hat time: Intentional sabotage to get people to buy ASA???) The PC-master-race-with-lots-of-free-time-and-disposable-income crowd is probably tired of hearing from me, a working class console peasant with a family, but fixing the crashing on ASE and allowing PS5 players to adjust the tether range on non-dedicated servers will be a huge factor in my decision to spend more money on ASE and future products. My wife and friends I play with all agree that we want to buy the paid dlc maps, but not if we are still dealing with crashing and playing on a short leash the way that otherwise works best for us. P.S. The dire otter is my favorite, with the ox being a close second.
  4. First thing I noticed was how small they made the war map, and the missing window on the ASE example to make the lighting difference more dramatic on the primitive bed. It looks like they actually put in MORE effort to make the inaccurate version. I don't like to be negative all the time though. I will be watching with an open mind to see how things go. I think if all of the promises of improved building, dino behavior, combat, etc. are delivered on, it could worth a re-buy. As a console player, I would really like building features modded PC players enjoy like toggling rails to half walls, inverted sloped walls, etc. Finally, in ASE I am STILL experiencing game crashes nearly EVERY time I exit to menu ("saveworld" console command is a life saver) on playstation single player/non-dedicated. This, along with the inability to adjust or remove the teather to host on non-dedicated servers seems like an unacceptable state to leave the game in, considering official servers are getting shut down and more people will soon want to play this way. No. I don't want to pay to rent a server for a game that I can go for large stretches of time without playing, so people need to understand that option does not make sense for everyone. No. Using another console to host a dedicated server doesn't always make sense either. (Did you know some maps don't even have the option on playstation?) Wow. I didn't mean to ramble on that long. TLDR: Keep up the good work, don't make promises you can't keep, don't forget about the single player/non-dedicated console peasants!
  5. PSA: For everyone out there struggling with constant crashing every time you log off on single player and non-dedicated, resulting in lost progress, use the "saveworld" console command before you log off. I wish I knew about this months ago! Now if only I could adjust the tether range on non-dedicated I'd be a happy camper.
  6. I'm cautiously optimistic about ark 2. Don't rush it, don't over hype it. If you can deliver on the improved animal behavior and taming, combat, creative building options, and npc tribes for a good single player and non-dedicated experience, graphics can take a back seat because you will have the ultimate open world survival game. However... Any chance of the ongoing crashing on playstation when logging off on single player and non-dedicated getting fixed before the game is abandoned? Or allowing playstation players to adjust and/or remove the teather to the host on non-dedicated? How these issues are handled will have a huge impact on how willing my group of friends will be to spend any more money on ark games. Most of us would buy some dlc for the current game if these 2 things are addressed.
  7. Can you at least give PS4/PS5 players the option to extend and/or remove the tether on non-dedicated servers on the current version? As someone who plays with a small group of people who don't want to mess with decay, starving, raiding, server rental fees, etc this has been the one thing preventing us from fully enjoying the game and buying dlcs. Also, even if everyone in my group finds the money to upgrade to PS5, there's no way we would buy the remaster or sequel if that obnoxious tether is still there.
