    Here's What I Think: The Ark Devs said that once you defeat all the bosses on The Isle map you will have to go to the volcano and sacrifice your character. I think this is where the second Ark/map comes in. You'll be teleported to the next island. The desert biome is probably a majority of the second map filled with the "Mysterious Mysteries" creatures.
