  1. They are telling us this is how it will work, and by installing the client, you ARE consenting to it. I'm not saying I like it. I don't. I'm just saying that argument unfortunately falls flat.
  2. Music is good ❤️ Gareth Coker is legendary! Also, we are soooo close to Genesis, and we've been waiting patiently..... I think we deserve a few more sneak peeks ?
  3. You people are funny, complaining about the evo event. Sure, it is an odd one, but would you be happier to get nothing at all?
  4. So will this coming update address the difficulty and sometimes impossibility of harvesting certain nodes with an anky? I see a couple notes that may relate to this, but not directly mentioning this issue specifically.
  5. I am hearing there are only 3 NA-PVE servers for ragnarok???
  6. I am surprised nobody has asked this yet, buuuuut.... Where the hell did all the volcanos metal go???
  7. the bosses are have far less health than official server bosses. soooo just keep that in mind while i solo bosses on official
  8. Dino cap is actually more of an issue in PVE because the dino count is never decreasing, nor is there risk of losing dinos other than misuse. In PVE, dinos become claimable when the tribe quits playing for long enough, which attributes horribly to the dino cap. Guarantee you'll tame a sheep anyway
  9. Permanent 2x is cool, but still a bit of a kick in the balls to all of us who have done the long hard grind before 2x evos came around. I guess I won't really complain since the game can be awfully grindy at 1x rates. Cheers for the change Wildcard, thank you
  10. Ohhh pve has it trolls, arguably more than pvp. Pve players dont have any control over it, which is exactly why carrying wild dinos is off. The plantx in my base would kill whatever gets dropped in, but not the troll whos trying to burn up my fertilizer, and thats no good. If someone put 2500+ hours into Ark and dont want the possibility of losing their work, then they made the mistake of not choosing pve 2500+ hours of gameplay ago. Its unreasonable to for these alpha tribes to think that they should be #1 forever and never lose their base/dinos. These big tribes/alpha tribes on pvp seem to be the only ones crying about the change. Open transfers will shake up the pvp scene in a positive way for the game as a whole. There will be more rotation of power, and a better fighting chance for the lower tribes/low lvl players. The pvp game NEEDS this, badly, as servers have previously been ran by smug alphas who often times wipe everyone/anyone who could be a threat. One pvp server I had been to, the alpha didnt have that great of defenses, but would clean up the map of any efforts to build up on a regular basis. Now, they will need to build up a proper defense as they won't be able to scout EVERY map on the same basis to prevent an attack. This is a good thing, it promotes more actual pvp and situations, and promotes lesser tribes getting started by finding a safe server away from their target.
  11. If a large group of players get together to beat VDD and similar multi-server tribes, I could hop on that bandwagon. Otherwise I'll be blissfully causing trouble on a smaller scale from server to server Edit: As a side note, I think this change opens the door for more gameplay than people think initially, such as cross server commerce and large scale battles unlike the offline raiding you usually see, or the "drop dinos to soak turret damage while shooting rockets" tactic. Sure this poses a threat to the alpha tribes that are used to regulating one server, but it really brings a new and exciting meta to Ark if you think outside the box. This game, like any other early access title, is meant to and will change. Players will adapt and VDD is on top of things, deservingly if cheating/exploiting wasn't the case. If WC cracks down on it like they say they will, then those who are against VDD and the like, have no less power than those within their ranks. Its time Ark reaches the next level and I feel this is it. It will certainly create some interesting and passionate stories! Food for thought
  12. Not worried. I have plenty of fun living as a lone rogue on pvp, staying low and undetected, with no base or just poop shacks here and there. I dont need a hundred dinos and a massive base to have fun. I can get wiped and move on with no regrets. I mean nobody any disrespect but I think people are too attached to "tame dinos, build big base" as the way to play. The moment you do this you are a target, where in my situation, I might be a target but I will never truly be found. Maybe they will find a stash, and thats fine because I dont keep all my eggs in one basket Im just trying to say there are more ways to play than the traditional path.
  13. Why anyone would go to a pvp server to play in peace makes no sense to me. Im glad the pvp scene will be shaken up, and glad alpha tribes are getting scared, it needed to happen. This will make for some nice cross server espionage and possibly get people to band together to fight the multiserver tribes who are dominating. Imo, that is far more interesting than "keeping the peace" and turning pvp into glorified pve.
  14. Well its certainly not a good pvp server when there is no pvp.
  15. Sounds like you werent playing on a real pvp server and wouldn't last on one anyway, no offense. I just find it odd that people want to play on pvp and not worry about getting raided/wiped. Just play PVE, problem solved, and you dont have to build ridiculous amounts of base defenses.
  16. Ah yeah i think this is coming on xbox at a later date not too far off. Check the earlist comments, I beleive a dev confirmed this.
  17. it is, you have to upload the dino at an obby and it will show up when you select download dino at the desired server within the same cluster.
  18. I like this change, for both pvp and pve. I may be biased as I play pve far more. What I see in this thread is a bunch of people whining about potentially losing their alpha status. Get over it! If you wanted to play with little to no risk, play pve. You can't sit on your high horse forever. Having a slew of high end dinos and oversized bases isnt the only way to play pvp. I personally enjoy being the lone wolf, having no base or an expendable base and stashing supplies needed to do what pvp is meant for... pvping! I never understood the big tribes on pvp servers trying to turn things into a pve environment. Eventually, a bigger and more organized tribe was going to wipe you out regardless of transfers. You accept loss the moment you start playing, or dont play pvp at all, plain and simple. @Wildcard, dont forget that people who hate a change will have far more to say than those who approve it Just bc this thread is looking like a salt truck flipped itself over, doesn't mean it was a bad move. Those who approve will be quietly enjoying ark even more
