  1. All these ideas are really quite cool. I'd really like a tier system, and maybe some passive abilities for even the smaller dinos, like raptors produce feathers, dilos produce tranquilizer (like @Cailean556 said).
  2. I'm pretty sure that means it won't have a saddle. We had the same icon on the poop monkey dossier, and that was tameable but not saddleable.
  3. Okay, I suppose that makes sense. But still though...giga eggs! You coulda sold them to John Hammond for an absolute fortune!
  4. When you're so rich you don't care about giga eggs...
  5. True, true. Microraptored in the worst degree.
  6. Ooof. Microraptored but not microraptored...yet another reason why we hate them 😕
  7. So this was a few weeks ago, so bear with me Fjordur, Singleplayer, boosted stats (breeding) So, what happened is I was taming a pt. Pretty normal stuff. One headshot with the Xbow, and one body shot, and it was down. It tamed up with regular meat. I saw the bar go to 100%-and then my fool brother shot it in the head. With a REGULAR FREAKING ARROW! Not even a tranq arrow. That, at least, i would've somewhat understood. But really? Also, before that, I was taming a max level lystro. It was ~half taming, and then my idiot brother once again punched it. It did not die, but it did lose taming affectiveness. Not a lot, but still affected. Siblings can be the worst. Plus, split screen makes all the things super tiny, and I can't even sit on the super comfy sofa we have . By the time he killed the pt, i'd totally lost the motivation to play ARK. I haven't been able to touch the controller in over 2 weeks, but that's aside the point. I'd wasted two tranq arrows (valuable), narcotic (also very valuable), and meat (less valuable but I make it a strict point to never ever waste resources). Anyway, good luck and happy ARKing!
  8. Okay, that's good. I have access to admin commands, so that might work. If not, I'll fiddle with the settings a little more. Thanks a lot!
  9. Y'know, I've heard of players drowning Gigas, but never Gigas drowning themselves. Disaster is a fitting name!

    Woow...mutated?
  11. Can I use this on console? Xbox One, to be precise.
  12. (Fjordur, local split-screen) I was mostly busy breeding up the dilos for the army. I buffed the imprinting times, but I don't know how to buff the imprinting affinity (how much percent it gets per imprint). Right now, I only have dilos that reach 50% of their full capacity. Even then, the pack of 17 can take on trikes with relative ease, but I'm planning to make a mutated pack with the best levels of the pack-ranging from 92-87. Anyway, I just raised up a lot more and mass-imprinted them by whistling follow on them and just walking around and feeding them. I tried to spawn in a single cryopods, but ended up spawning in 100. I just dumped them all on the ground except three, which I used to reset the imprint requirements. One dilo baby was asking for freaking superior kibble, which I think is made from yutyrannus eggs, deinon eggs, and other such eggs that I have no access to for the time being. I think there's a deinon nesting ground nearby, and I'm level 32-almost to the pteranodon saddle. I also gathered up over 1000 silk from the little purple plants on the shores of the waterfall river, which I stored for later use. I made up a whip, because I just have so much extra silk I didn't know what to do with it. Anyway, after raising and imprinting the babies, I went around killing stuff, like trikes, parasaurs, and dodos, which were all that was in the area. They were all fairly low level, so they were able to get rid of them with ease. The dilos all have ~400 health and ~300% melee, with some variations, with some dilos doing over fifty damage, and some doing hardly 30. And that was pretty much it. I didn't really do anything else of much concern. I did explore just a little bit on the parasaur, but decided to wait until I had another PT and saddle for both until I did anything else. Until next time! Good luck, and Happy ARKing!
  13. Useful, and totally going to get nerfed very, very soon. 😕
  14. I'm just imagining this scenario in PvP- you just see this huge army of Tek parasaurs charging at you and just destroying your rex and you in the process...Wow.
  15. (local multiplayer, PVE, Fjordur)- Made lots of good progress today. First thing I did was hike up the hill with a parasaur and gather ~500 metal, which I placed in the forge. On the way back, a Diplo knocked me and insane distance, almost killing my via fall damage. Eventually, it lost interest, and I trekked back home almost dead, eating my cooked meat. After that, I just did basic maintenance, unlocking the tranq arrows and a few other miscellaneous things. After that, I think I made a feeding trough? No, wait, I searched for a decent-ish level pteranodon. Found a level 95 and decided to tame it, as I did not have easy access to prime meat, and I don't want to ruin the taming. I tranqed it, only to see a dilo lurking in the bushes nearby. I decided to tame it as well, and started shooting, but my idiot tribemate whacked it with an axe after it was down, so it's taming effectiveness was something around 54%. Honestly, I shoulda just let it wake up, and then tranqed it again, but...meh. It was just going to be sort of a guard dog anyway. Yet another dilo came at me, but I tranqed and tamed that one too before it ruined the effectiveness of the pteranodon. Meanwhile, the PT was taming up with raw meat, and I tamed another dilo while waiting for it. I put the dilos on follow, and since two were females and one was a male, I decided to start a pack by breeding them on a large scale. The PT had tamed up, so I got it on follow because I did not have the saddle unlocked, and I managed to land it on the perfect spot first try. I started the breeding, and before 10 minutes was up, I had my first egg (boosted breeding rates). Unfortunately, I forgot to buff the breeding cool down timer, and it was 13 hours (or days, not sure which). I left the eggs in my inventory, and went off to make the incubating setup, but the freaking diplo returned and messed it all up. Oh, and also, last time I played, I tamed up a Moschops. He Who Chops the Mos was great at gathering all the fiber, berries, and thatch I'd ever need. Anyway, the dilo started whacking everything all over the place, and the parasaur fell waist-deep into the water. I whistled attack target, and the Diplo was no match for the combined forces of all our spitters, the two parasaurs, the PT, Moschops, and us two humans. It was dead in seconds, but the dilos got to it before we did. It would have been an excellent source of prime meat, and I was sure I'd turned off harvesting on the dilos, so maybe it was the PT, and it just ate the prime. Anyway, my tribemate had meanwhile gather 1000+ wood for the forge, so it was smooth sailing from then on. The earlier metal smelted up to provide 208 ingots, and seeing as I already had a pick and a hatchet, I made up a pike for both of us. Now, we were fairly well equipped to venture out into the wilderness for an Andrewsarchus. Now, all we need is another PT and two saddles. And also, the two eggs had hatchet up into two dilos, and before long, they'd become adolescent before I would be able to imprint. I need to buff the imprint timer as well as the breed cool down timer, so I can actually do things apart from breeding. I had the feeding trough made up anyways, so I just left them next to it and left in search of a raptor I thought I'd seen a short ways away. Turns out, the only thing there was an oviraptor, so the raptor had either died or was just somewhere else. I know there was one though, since no other creature runs that way. Anyway, happy travels ahead for Bob (me) and Vladijmor (my tribemate-don't ask). Good luck on your Fjordur and other adventures all! Happy ARKing!
  16. *krr-chh* "Captain's log. There appears to be no sign of intelligent life anywhere."
  17. Fair point. What we mean by useless is that they don't have much use. They have their uses, but there are creatures that can do their same jobs even better than they do. Male megaloceros can travel too, and gather thatch, and inflict a bleed on players (at least, last time I heard). Kangaroo can inflict knock back, as can Andrewsarchus, and stego. Rexes and Gigas can also kill alpha raptors, carnos, and rexes, so that makes them better than carnos for killing alphas. That is just the thing. Carnos, diplos, and megaloceros are useful-just not compared to some of the other creatures in the ARKs.
  18. Hmm. Yeah, maybe a setting in the menu before you start to enable or disable first person.
  19. Hellooo fellow huumaan beeeeeings!
  20. Fjordur, (local multiplayer)- I deleted the old world, started anew. Had a better start this time, no gigas tearing through our bodies today :). Problem is, the spawn was absolutely covered with the stupid thief birds. I killed a few as they attacked me, and decided I'd had enough. I made up a thatch 2x1 hut, just barely big enough for two sleeping bags and a campfire. Later tamed up a lystro and a lvl 20 para, not bad for less then 45 minutes. Got up to the bow before a carno rampaged through and killed the para and the lystro. I admin moded and blasted the carno in the face after a pitched battle during which I was periodically knocked unconscious because of stam, and during which the carno couldn't hit me. I was not about to lose all my stuff a second time because a freaking random predator just spawned in right next to my base. Yeah...I'm not proud of it either. Anyway, went on to tame Sir Perry the II, and spent the rest of the day making a second bow, because a thief bird had stolen it just before the carno attack (coincidence? I THINK NOT!). And that's all for today! Good luck and Happy ARKing!
  21. Fair point, my friend. Thing is, there were separate pods for each of the clones, with the exo-mek acting as the pod for our survivor.
  22. You clearly don't understand what PvE is about. >
  23. Losing a spaceship is entirely plausible. The large chunks would disintegrate at least mostly, and the smaller chunks would be totally vaporized. So when you look at it that way, losing a spaceship is entirely plausible, and also considering that Santiago was shown with no armor or anything in the end cutscene.
