Let's get this weekend started with a special 3x EVO Event that lasts until Tuesday! While you're here, check out some of our favorite community content in the Community Corner this week!
There is an ongoing EVO event that will run until 1 PM Pacific on Tuesday, September 27th. You can find the rates below:

In the past, we've adjusted for the impact events have had on the rates by tweaking the bonuses that we use during breeding events, however, those tweaks lead to unfavorable circumstances on maps that aren't Genesis Part 2, so during breeding events, we'll be disabling these mission buffs specifically as not to affect the bonuses on other maps.

Went to the living room to show my mom one of the kittens, we sat there for about 30 minutes when I realized I needed to get the otters. I freaked out and ran to my room quickly grabbed pods and ran to my friends base. I got there lagging and saw the babies heads. I started imprinting them all and led them away from the adults so I could pod them. They all died at the same time! There goes 7 hours of excitement

Welcome to another edition of the Community Crunch!
We had a blast at PAX West this year and cherished the opportunity to meet current and future ARK fans 😉. If you were in town, you probably had a chance to check out the life-sized HLN-A and acquire some of the heavily sought-after ARK swag. We've put together a recap of the community live stream and any moments you may have missed during PAX West.

In addition to the photo opp with HLN-A, eager ARK survivors were able to get their hands on the upcoming Ultimate Survivor Edition on Nintendo Switch. The upcoming launch on October 25th will include The island and Scorched Earth at launch, and add the remaining ARK and community content in intervals.
The completely rehauled version will include enhancements and upgrades to bring it into line, visually and functionally, with the experience on Xbox One and PS4!

We went live on Friday to share exciting news with the community and tease upcoming content coming to all platforms. new story cutscenes to conclude each ARK map, featuring actors Maddy Madden (The Wheel of Time) and David Tennant (Doctor Who). All of Helena’s and Rockwell’s Dossiers and Explorer Notes will also be voiced by the actors.
Jesse, Jeremy, and Gareth Coker sat down for a lengthy interview about audio design and how it can define game moments. Check out the full interview if you don't want any ARK2 spoilers 😉
During the stream we revealed the upcoming Carcharodontosaurus dossier and promotional art. It might be a good idea to get to know this fearless predator before it enters into a list of ARK's toughest carnivores.
Modding is a large part of ARK and ARK 2 will still be deeply rooted in its mod community. Upgrading to Unreal Engine 5 and partnering with mod.io has allowed us to introduce full mod support for console players!
Joshua Hines, our mod community manager, took some time to speak with mod.io and talk about what these upgrades may mean for ARK 2 and the modding ecosystem at large.

As the arrow of mine barely struck the THeri, Lyssa landed the finishing blow on Thunderdrum, killing her. I was mad, but then I understood that losing your tames is part of the game. And from that moment since, every single female Trike i've had, has been named thunderdrum. And I've killed every therizino I've encountered that has the similar color pallet to Lyssa, and everytime I get a Gravestone engram, I make a memorial for her.

Charcarodontosaurus will make a triumphant entry to ARK with a noteworthy set of abilities that puts it in competition with ARK's most feared carnivores! With a notable taste for blood, Charcarodontosaurus will become more frenzied as it gets its fill.
Common Name: Carcharodontosaurus
Species: Carcharodontosaurus medicupestis
Time: Late Cretaceous
Diet: Carnivore
Temperament: Aggressive
I feel lucky to have crossed paths with Carcharodontosaurus medicupestis and lived to tell the tale. Though I’m not sure if this predator grows bigger than a Giganotosaurus, I hope never to find out. Just one of these bruisers held its own against an army of us, and that encounter cost us dearly.
Carcharodontosaurus can sweep aside attackers with its tail, but it’s the other end you’ll really want to avoid. It has teeth like steak knives, set in jaws strong enough to shred most prey. Even a near-miss will carve you up, but good.
Like its namesake the great white shark, Carcharodontosaurus gets more dangerous once it tastes blood. Each kill seems to give these monsters a rush and drive it into a berserker frenzy.
Anyone that manages to tame a Carcharodontosaurus will gain a new way to rally their tribe for battle. There’s something about this monster’s roar that drives others to fight — a war cry for Hell’s own army.
The more tactical tribes will let their Carcharodontosaurus tear through the mid-sized creatures in their enemy’s ranks, thereby building up its bloodrage to take on the largest threats. Talk about shock and awe!Carcharodontosaurus will make its way onto the ARKs later this year!

At 12:00 PM Pacific on Friday, September 2nd, Cedric and members of the Grove Street Team will talk about the enhancements that are included in the upcoming release of ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition on Nintendo Switch. We'll also be doing a live version of the Community Crunch and going over the amazing community content from the week!

This month’s Wildcard cause was chosen in honor of members of our community who have been impacted by cancer. Many of our players are young adults - we're passionate about giving back to our community and we’ve opted to support a charity that focuses on that age group.
Today cancer is a leading terminal disease amongst 20 to 39 year-olds.
Despite advances in early detection, treatment, and prevention, there’s been no improvement within the last 30 years in survival rates for this particular age group — and in fact, the gap between the survival rates of young adults and those of cancer patients in other age groups is widening.
We believe technology and entertainment can help to bring people together and that gaming can be advantageous in terms of recovery and in coping during treatment:
Studies have also been conducted and show patient empowerment has been increased with the use of video games (Caldwell, et al 2013) Govender et al (2015) also found these benefits with cancer patients in particular, The researchers go to state “Empowerment interventions may enhance patients’ internal locus of control, resilience, coping skills, and self-management of symptoms related to disease and therapy.”
Cancer patients can commonly suffer with a phenomena known as “chemo brain”, where cognitive functioning is impacted (Simó, Rifà-Ros, Rodriguez-Fornells, & Bruna, 2013) video games have been proven to increase working memory, problem solving, spatial awareness and eye hand coordination and executive control functions (Hall et al, 2012; Shin, et al 2015, Adachi, & Willoughby, 2013).
With respect to our players battling cancer, we’ve donated to the Ulman Foundation, a charity that creates a community of support for young adults and their loved ones.

QuoteA very long time ago when I was an ark noob on the island, I had a phiomia I kept in a pen made of fences and let it wander around. One day I saw it had escaped and didn’t care too much since I could always just tame another phiomia. Fast forward a couple days and it’s the middle of the night, I go towards the woods of my base to harvest a bit of wood for my campfires and get knocked out by a bunch of troodons. Greetings Survivors!
Recently the ARK PvP Community suffered the loss of a much-loved member, Uriel. He was a uniting force amid a varied group of players and multiple tribes. Uri endeared himself to everyone irrespective of their affiliation in PvP due to his sweet and funny nature along with being known for his amusing dances on stream.
Uri was someone who didn't allow his own adversities in life dim the good-natured light he shone and we'll all feel the absence of his warmth greatly.
We’d like to honor Uri, his tribemates, and his friends by sharing the absolutely heartwarming outpouring of love for him that was shown when an unprecedented number of our Official PvP players came together to memorialize him with in-game builds.
We have collated pics of players’ memorial builds to share with the community. A nod to Skittle for traveling to servers to take high-quality screenshots for mourning players.
A message for Uri from his tribemates and friends:
It is never easy to say goodbye to anyone we love, and it has been especially hard to accept the loss of our dearest friend, Uri. He reached out and touched the hearts of many around the world, whether it was being a tribe member, an entertainer through his streams, or an amazing friend. No matter what he was battling he remained selfless and put others' happiness before his own. It is rare to meet people like that, especially on the internet. Going forward, we have been thinking about what Uri would want and that would be to be happy, to strive for greatness, and to dance our way through the hard times. We will forever cherish the memories we’ve shared and even though he is not with us, he will always be in our hearts. We love you Uri, that sky border doesn’t exist anymore so fly high, king.

As soon as I got what I needed, I left. Never would I think ark triggers this sense of terror

Steam Proton has been enabled by default on ARK: Survival Evolved for Steam Linux players, include complete BattlEye support. If you are experiencing any issues with the Proton version of the game, please let us know in this thread and we'll work with Valve (Steam) to get these resolved as soon as possible.

- From your Steam games library, right-click on ARK: Survival Evolved and choose Properties.
- From this new window you’ll click on BETAS at the top.
- Here is where you’ll swap between the Linux native version and the live version of the game.
- Choose the beta called "linuxnative" from the drop down list and then close the Properties window once the window says it has successfully accessed the beta.
- Your Steam client will begin to download the Linux native version of the game.
If you're experiencing any problems accessing the native version, let us know and we'll investigate.

With the Studio’s focus on the development of ARK 2 and the recent launch of Fjordur, the team has been very focused on making that as awesome as we possibly can. Lesson learned: bring med brews, level up your caving Dino before going caving, and tame a thyla.

This past weekend we reached a record-breaking 248K CCU (concurrent players) on Steam! You continue to blow us away with your never-ending passion and support. We are extremely humbled, gracious, and energized as we embark on creating the ultimate primal survival experience.

In April this year we moved the Official ARK wiki to its new home and partner, ark.wiki.gg!
Moving the ARK wiki has provided a more stable and streamlined experience for the ARK community to build its future wiki roots on. Since the move to wiki.gg the wiki team has been working hard to improve the way information can be displayed and accessed, and one of these projects is the improved interactive resource, exploration, and spawn maps!

Like any other person I decide to step up my game so I can be a respected tribe. Night comes around I have the bright idea to collect narcoberries on my level 100 or so para named Cherry. It's almost pitch black. Out of nowhere I hear the battle music kick in. Pulling out my torch I see a f****** Therizinosaurus.
Now I had 2 options- run to base or fight
I run because there is no way my Para is gonna f*** with a Therizinosaurus and survive.
I get within eyesight of my base when Cherry dies. It was devastating but I run without looking back, maybe Cherry's corspe can distract the Therizinosaurus just long enough for me to make it to my base. My base is made of wood. It is built on the side of a cliff with the edge of the house sticking off slightly. The opposite side, not facing off the cliff is guarded by 5 wooden gates.
Anyway I run and barely shut the gate door before the Therizinosaurus reaches me.
It starts to break the gate. Panicking I run up to the top of my base where I keep Bloodfire, my pterodactyl. Before I can get on, the Therizinosaurus hits me, sending me off the cliff to my death. I wait abit and respawn at my base. The Therizinosaurus is gone. I walk down the cliff and get my stuff then make my way back up and find Cherry's remains. I take the narcoberiies and saddle. Once returning to my base I examine the damage. One gate destroyed. Not to bad. Some time has passed now, I am in my base crafting tranqs and gates when I hear the sound. the Therizinosaurus attacking my base again, this time my living complex. Frantically try to dash upstairs to my ride, blood fire, goes crazy and fly away. My base is pretty much destroyed and I am brutally slashed to death. My bed is on cool down and I can do nothing.

Welcome to another edition of the Community Crunch!
As we all catch our breath from the Fjordur launch and all the ARK news this week, we can't help to be appreciative and humbled by the ARK community helping us reach a new record-breaking CCU high! We're blown away by the support and passion of the community!
This past week has been full of ARK news, from ARK 2 to the ARK: The Animated TV Series, there has been a plethora of content and information to share with the hungry ARK community.

In terms of upcoming content, ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition is right around the corner! The Grove Street Games team is targeting a September release and a presentation at PAX West. Find out more information and see a demo of an early dev build here:

Due to a configuration error to Fjordur SmallTribes servers at launch, some tribes were able to exceed the maximum number of players that are allowed in a tribe. The configuration error has since been fixed. The enforcement team will begin taking action on tribes that exceed the maximum number of players on Tuesday. Please plan accordingly!

QuoteOkay guys, this story is fatal. Big scared big scared I was. I went on fjdour pve servers. I was the first one there so I had a head start. But I wanted something that I saw there from story mode. 3 castles, even if I had one of them I would of felt accomplished. Got loads of progress done. 30 mins later I got a pt and pt saddle. Went to the pathway to claim the castle (me thinking that all survivers we're noobs and got no lvls on them, I see them all running to the pathways so fast. It was like a pvz moment when u had to defend the house with plants. But it was over and I couldn't do nothing. Thier movement speed was bonkers running at that hill. I thought I had a headstart but when I had already got there. I saw a guy with noodle arms and Popeye forearms. Breaking wood. Me and him were versing while other people was claiming the hill tops close to the castle. The speed runner managed to win me and I had black eyes while he was typing victory and greed in chat. This is where I start downfalling. My pt that I left was on passive so it couldn't defend me. A saber tooth went in the castle killed my pt then me even if I tried to escape. 2 hours of trying to get to a castle location and back up my feet I end up going to the red wood castle to see that claimed. The winter castle. The mountain castle. Any pre built place, you name it and I went there. Everything got claimed like it was a free tag sale on toys r us. I was devistated. Everything got taken'd away from me and I will never forget that moment.

We have so much on the horizon for the ARK universe and we don’t want to keep our community waiting any longer so let’s skip the preamble and jump right in!
We are currently working on our expansive sequel with all our might! But we have postponed the release date to 2023 in order to create an adventure that will be unforgettable for everyone, respectful of our team’s health, realize the potential of upgrading to Unreal 5, and to introduce revolutionary full mod support for console players! ARK 2 will launch in 2023, simultaneously on Steam Early Access and as a console launch exclusive for Xbox Series X|S and with Xbox and PC Game Pass on Game Preview.

As we journey into the next evolution of ARK, Jesse and Jeremy reflected on the time they’ve spent creating ARK and wanted to include a personal message about ARK 2 to the community.
The future of survival games begins with ARK 2
When we first released ARK: Survival Evolved in 2015, we had no idea how big it would eventually become. It was beyond our wildest expectations that 7 years later we’d be developing an eons-spanning narrative across multiple games, a TV series, and starring none other than Vin Diesel as key ARK hero Santiago. And yet here we are, together with our wonderful players who have stuck with the ARK universe through thick (RAGNAROK!!) and thin (FLYER NERF??), now having a canvas far bigger than ever before.
That’s what ARK 2 is – the biggest canvas ever for primal survival experiences, a next-generation framework to play out your own survival stories.
ARK 2’s main narrative tells the story of a father and a daughter (“Meeka” played by Auli'i Cravalho!), of betrayal & broken promises, and the strength of the family bond – and of course, it’s a story of badass giant dinosaurs. But even more importantly, this is about players’ own stories – like any good persistent-world online survival game, ‘Survivors’ in ARK 2 each have their own unique path through the game, as they form their own tribe, make their own friends, and attempt to build their own creature-aided civilization.
With ARK 2, we’re seeking not only to enhance the game’s narrative and world-building, but also retouch and improve on all aspects of what constitutes an ARK game.
Foremost among these redesigns are the core player mechanics. In the sequel, which is third-person-only, controls and movement for both players and creatures have been completely redesigned. Taking inspiration from game systems like Assassin’s Creed’s automatic parkour and Breath of the Wild’s climbing, player characters can now clamber over the environment in a more realistic and freeform manner. With a focus on primitive-era combat (Santiago and Tek have a ‘complicated’ relationship…), ARK 2 draws heavily from Souls-like action for its human-scale combat: an emphasis on dodges, blocks, light and heavy attacks, combos, and player-reflex skill – a rarity for the PvP survival genre. For creature-scale combat, suffice it to say for now that when you attack something with your T-Rex in ARK 2, the results are visceral: the animation of the attack actually hard-impacts on the target (not “passing through” it), the victim’s flesh is torn, and the target physically reacts at that location to the hit – all to convey the feeling of the raw power of such a ferocious creature!
Another area that we’re particularly excited about is the World Event system. Rather than simply having a more-or-less static environment with easily predictable or repetitive occurrences ala ARK 1, the new World Event system is designed to ensure that unique things are always happening around the world, whether you are there or not. Events include procedurally-dynamic scenarios like watering hole gatherings, wounded creatures, tracking the signs of advanced prey, stampedes, herds, defending endangered creatures to earn their trust, finding dens of parent creatures and their young, and more. Whether you choose to engage with these events is up to you, and each can yield unique rewards and challenges.
There are too many other areas of fundamental changes in ARK 2, whether it’s the new opposing-force ‘Aratai’ who have their own tames, the new Creature Management & proper World Map systems, the advanced component-based item crafting that enables players to choose exactly what their gear looks and functions like from millions of potential combinations, or the revamped build system which provides innumerable more building options and enables saving & sharing of build templates – or, or…well, there’s just too much to go over here! You’ll get your first preview of the ARK 2 gameplay down the road, and we think you’ll like what you see.
Finally, saving perhaps the best for last, ARK 2 adds a revolutionary new feature for console players: fully stackable, user-created mods, including on unofficial servers, for the Xbox version of the game enabled through official mod support by mod.io! This means that players who create mods using the PC version will be able to upload them to the cloud and make them available for all console players to enjoy as well. With this, as we’ve seen with ARK 1 on PC, everything in the game can effectively be changed, improved, and redesigned: new creatures, new game types, new maps, new weapons & items, and mechanics (yes modders can re-add First Person mode 😉 ).
With the power of Unreal Engine 5, the only limit will be the imagination of the content creators themselves. We’re super stoked to witness the mind-blowing additions that players will no doubt create in their mods and maps – and we believe that having all such user generated content playable on console in ARK 2, with complete cross-platform server integration, is going to change the nature of the genre forever.
Put simply: with ARK 2, our goal is to make the game that we all wanted ARK 1 to be – now that we’ve had the time, resources, and knowledge to do it right. So in 2023 on Xbox & PC Game Pass, we’ll look forward to seeing you all in this new world of primeval creatures and legendary heroes. Just keep an eye out for Vin – he likes to play on his Series X more than you might expect, and his skill at wrangling a Giga is unequaled…

ARK’s development has always benefited from external teams providing their expertise for ARK’s myriad of content and game systems. Whether it be Instinct Games, Efecto Studios, or another developer that’s partnered with us during the creation of ARK: Survival Evolved, we’ve always leveraged the amazing talent from external studios to create the best version of ARK for our fans.
In that spirit, we’re partnering with Grove Street Games to co-develop ARK 2 and rewrite the ARK Nintendo Switch code with a full revamp of gameplay functionality, graphics, and optimization. Thomas Williamson, the Director of Grove Street, will be Development Director and Technical Director of ARK 2 with parts of the Grove Street Games team also joining ARK 2’s production in a development partnership.Jeremy and Jesse will balance their time between games and the expansion of the ARK franchise across multiple platforms and formats, with Jeremy focusing his creative efforts on the TV series and other initiatives, whilst continuing to serve as Executive Producer of ARK 2. Jesse will continue as Creative Director of ARK 2 and co-creator of the TV series.
We are beyond-thrilled that Thomas and the incredibly talented team at Grove Street Games have opted to go all-in on partnering up to build the next iterations of the ARK franchise. By combining Grove Street's amazing capabilities with Studio Wildcard, we’re confident ARK 2 is going to be a mind-blowing experience!
We know many of you have also been waiting expectantly for news on the Animated Series, and we’re so looking forward to being able to share more with everyone about it.
The Series now has fourteen 30-minute episodes in post-production! To celebrate this milestone, we have released the first poster images of key characters from the show, available here.
ARK: The Animated Series chronicles the story of a mysterious primeval land populated by dinosaurs and other extinct creatures, where people from throughout human history have been resurrected. When 21st century Australian paleontologist Helena Walker awakes on the ARK after tragedy, she must learn to survive and find new allies, or die again at the hands of ruthless warlords -- all while trying to uncover the true nature of their strange new world.
Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox) has taken on the role of Executive Producer, Director, and Co-Showrunner, alongside ARK franchise creators Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak, with the series being produced at Glendale-based Lex+Otis animation studio. Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded) and Dee Bradley Baker (Star Wars: The Bad Batch) have also joined the series’ talented cast.
The show features an extraordinary voice cast, including Gerard Butler (300), Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Madeleine Madden (The Wheel of Time), Devery Jacobs (American Gods), Deborah Mailman (Total Control), Zahn McClarnon (Doctor Sleep), Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), Elliot Page (The Umbrella Academy), Ragga Ragnars (Vikings), David Tennant (Good Omens), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One), Karl Urban (The Boys), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Ron Yuan (Mulan), with Russell Crowe (Gladiator) and Vin Diesel reprising his role as franchise hero, Santiago.

In April we announced that Nintendo Switch would be receiving a completely rehauled version of ARK that will include enhancements and upgrades to bring it into line, visually and functionally, with the experience on Xbox One and PS4.
Today, we’re happy to share an update on the progress and more information on ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition!ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition will introduce new story cutscenes to conclude each ARK map, featuring actors Maddy Madden (The Wheel of Time) and David Tennant (Doctor Who) reprising their respective roles as Helena Walker and Sir Edmund Rockwell. All of Helena’s and Rockwell’s Dossiers and Explorer Notes will also be voiced by the actors, as will survivors’ epic confrontation versus Rockwell on ARK Aberration. We are absolutely ecstatic about Fjordur launching in less than 2 days!! To help everyone get prepared for the occasion we're spending some time recapping the details of the newest free DLC map, including a new look at Fenrir, a mysterious wolf-like creature that's native to Fjordur!

Much of what is known of Fenrir comes from tales passed down from previous Survivors but this elusive creature has managed to avoid being documented in the form of a dossier. What we do know is: Fenrir does not respond to conventional taming methods. If you are able to capture and ride Fenrir, you'll be able to freeze your enemies in their steps.
Andrewsarchus makes its way to Fjordur packing an arsenal of utility! Andrewsarchus may seem sluggish while foraging for a meal, but they can move unexpectedly fast when provoked. Once tamed, its saddle will allow you to mount a minigun to the back of it!

As you might imagine, Desmodus prefers to hang out in dark places, waiting for its unsuspecting prey! If you're lucky enough to tame one, you can send Desmodus to snatch up small prey or saddle up and vanish into the darkness.

Looking to dive right into the action, Fjordhawk can forge close bonds with humans as wholeheartedly as any canine or primate. A tamed Fjordhawk is a surprisingly playful companion that is very capable of fetching targets that you point out. A well-trained Fjordhawk can locate injured prey and communicate its find to you.

Acting as a functional weapon skin for the TEK sword, Mjolnir packs its own special powers and empowers Survivors with supernatural might. We were sweating when we tried broodmother(gamma) but...we won the fight easily and I was dumb and said"we gotta the guardians 3 times to gain all the tek gear" and we did that sadly. But we gained alot of element, extreme resource grinding and finally building the replicator with tek armor. My brother loved flying around or running on the water like a shinobi from naruto. We've been ready to face the gamma overseer. 6 rexes out of 25 fell in the lava. 2 sacrificed themselves against the terrifying giga. We beat up the overseer with strategy. One shoots off the drones, the other buffs the dinos. We finally ascended. We played ofc aberration too, it was very new for us the whole mechanic but...he refused when I asked him if we will fight rockwell. Today, he seems to play other games, and only playing fibercraft and generally on the game very rare..

Conquest servers are being re-introduced for a new season by Snail Games To kick things off, our current Classic PvP season will end and servers will be wiped shortly before the new Conquest begins on June 12th at 10am Pacific.

- Experience gain, taming, gathering have been tripled compared to our standard Official Servers (3x)

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBTQ+ community celebrates Pride Month in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held as a way of recognising the influence LGBTQ+ people have had around the world and the struggles faced. Why was June chosen? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969. Pride Month is important because it marks the start of change within the LGBTQ+ community, along with wider societal implications.
Studio Wildcard stands in support of the LGBTQ+ community and we would like to make an addition to the ARK: Survival Evolved Official Discord with inclusion of an opt-in role for our LGBTQ+ community members and allies.
We continue to work towards creating an ARK community where all LGBTQ+ people are included, where everyone is free to play as their authentic selves and enjoy a space that supports self-expression. It is more important than ever to recognize that systems of inequity based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, disability, and other forms of discrimination intersect and ultimately affect us all.

Our next free expansion map, Fjordur, is right around the corner. On June 12th, prepare to dive into Nordic-inspired adventure with 4 new creatures (Andrewsarchus, Fjordhawk, Desmodus, Fenrir) that are native to Fjordur!
Traverse a fantastical multi-layered wonderland with a frosty Nordic theme. Four unique islands, Vardiland, Vannaland, Bolbjord and Balheimr, and the mystical realms; Jotunheim, Vanaheim, and Asgard, offer elaborate cave systems resplendent with Scandinavian ruins and vast monolithic entrances.
Fjordur is the second community map released with completely new creatures, and the second to include another creature chosen by the ARK community. As we near closer to the launch date on June 12th, we'll be sharing more information regarding the timing of the rollout and servers!

Fjordhawk can be a useful companion if you're able to forge a bond with one by taming it. This playful species has made a game of tasks you might find daunting. If you need to fetch something, Fjordhawk can fly to nearby targets and retrieve them for you!

Serving as the first winner of the Community Creature Vote, Andrewsarchus makes its way to Fjordur packing an arsenal of utility! Andrewsarchus may seem sluggish while foraging for a meal, but they can move unexpectedly fast when provoked. Once tamed, its saddle will allow you to mount a minigun to the back of it!
Announced as the third creature to land on Fjordur, Desmodus was the second winner of the Community Creature Vote! The original creature submission garnered a lot of attention and the rest is ARK community history! Desmodus won (39,781 votes) vs. Carcharodontosaurus (24,419 votes) in the 9th and final round!

I give him a tap on the head, and he awakens, THE FOREST TITAN HAS BEEN TAMED beams onto my screen. Victory. I look at the forest titan, realising it was an alpha tame!

Seems I've escaped this galaxy's Belsavis only to end up on its Taris.
The teleporter looks to be a one-way affair. Supplies made it through, but everything powered by ""element"" was de-energized. It makes the surface almost uninhabitable. What's left of the locals is concentrated either in the ruins topside, or down here in what they call the Underforest.
They seem friendly so far. Finding the settlement was easy, lit up as it was in the dark. I was expecting less than a warm welcome given what I'd learned in orbit but was pleasantly surprised by their curious reaction.
The only rules seem to be basic decency, which I can do, and no meat. Even the carnivores here, somehow, don't eat meat. The leader, Magdeline, prepares some kinda special ""kibble"" and it seems to work VERY well.
I wonder how it tastes. The eggs are working well enough though, and these people can do a lot with berries. I don't think I'll have to go that route.

Our annual Halloween event, Fear Evolved, creeps onto the ARK with a ghoulish screech and we have laid out all of the tricks and/or treats for Survivors to indulge in over the coming weeks!
From October 19th to November 2nd, ARK will be teeming with spook-tackular new chibis making their ARK debut, cutting edge fashion, and eerie event creatures all resplendent in moonlit pumpkin patches and Hallow's Eve festivities!
Cloak yourself in event-themed fashion and creepy shoulder companions to embark on a hunt for the elusive DodoRex and DodoWyvern.
This event can be manually activated with the server arg parameter: -ActiveEvent=FearEvolved
