Once optimization of this game really gets going it is going to be my favorite game. Right now the lack of optimization is the only thing hindering it in my mind. Sure it could use some tutorials built in and maybe some story driven content for people that like that, but this game is pretty damned great other than the performance issues.

Currently I play with a diverse group of people and their system configurations vary wildly. One thing that we all have in common is the fact that we all struggle to run this game. I have a very beefy machine that can run upcoming (read alpha unreleased) game titles with next gen graphics with 45-60fps set to epic/max. I cannot run this game at 30FPS most of the time at high, I get 45 fps on med.

Most of the people I play with are using every trick and command line code they can to get this game to run on their machines. Its really sad.

Yes, the game could use tutorials and story driven content, but the lack of optimization is what is really hindering this title in my mind and the mind of my player group. Such a great game, though.
