  1. Common name: Koolasuchus Species: Koolasuchus Caementus Time: Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Ambushing Wild: Koolasuchus Caementus is the largest amphibian on the island and also the most gluttonous creature i have seen so far in the ark, sporting sizes of those of spinosaurus. It inhabits freshwater areas, being more commonly found in rivers where it ambush his preys..... These creatures stays buried in the riverbed almost all his life. Being the only sign of his pressence a column of bubbles that emerges from the riverbed. This titanic amphibian eats his prey whole, the creature opens his maws so quickly that it causes a vortex of water that leads his preys directly to his mouth. Like moderns abyssal fish Koolasuchus Caementus can double or triple the size of his stomach in order to eat preys that are even bigger than him, this sometimes leads to koolasuchus sofocating due to the extreme size of his prey. These creatures are so gluttonous that they eat everything that gets in his way, causing them to eat valuable resources, armors, weapons, etc.... Some survivor hunt them to get these valuable resources. Domesticated: When domesticated Koolasuchus Caementus proves itself as an excellent siege and support creature. It can swallow allies to save them from dangerous situations or, it can swallow enemy mounts or survivors!!!, but this incredible ability comes with his drawbacks, if Koolasuchus has swallowed an enemy or a ally, it becomes sluggish and more susceptible to damage. Also Koolasuchus can fill his stomach with acid and then it can shoot that acid as a mortar, disolving through metal structures and gear. But as said, Koolasuchus Caementus comes with probably his biggest drawback, Koolasuchus has to be wet most of the time or his skin will become fragile....... Now lets explain everything in detail: Taming: Koolasuchus can be found in freshwater areas of the map (specially in the Aberration areas of extinction) and is a passive tame, the only sign of his pressence would be a colum of bubbles that emerges from the riverbed, in order to make Koolasuchus emerge from the riverbed you will have to carefully place honey in front of him, or you will ruin the taming (i will explain this later), when Koolasuchus has emerged from the riverbed it will start to swim around, sometimes it will open his mouth, is then when you have to swim to his mouth and feed it with his favourite food honey or prime fish meat (I haven't deciced yet), after sometime you will have a tamed Koolasuchus. Now i will explain the two states of wild Koolasuchus: - Aggresive Mode: If you come to close to Koolasuchus when is buried in the riverbed, it will start attacking you, so you have to be extra careful when placing honey in front of him, when Koolasuchus is aggressive it can't be tamed, this means Koolasuchus will not reset, and will be aggressive for all eternity, disabling taming forever. But when this state is activated, Koolasuchus will drop valuable resources when killed like said in the dossier (The rarity, number of items and the value of the items will depend on Koolasuchus level). - Taming Mode: This state is activated when Koolasuchus have been unearthed from the riverbed with honey. As said Koolasuchus will start to swim around the area opening his mouth casually, letting the survivor to feed it and tame it. Fragile Mode: This state is activated when Koolasuchus dryes, the survivor will know the humidity of Koolasuchus thanks to a bar similar to giganotosaurus rage bar. When the bar reaches 0, Koolasuchus will dry, making it more succepteable to dmg and torpor, also slowing it greatly. You can recover humidity by going in water with Koolasuchus. But thanks to Koolasuchus special saddle you can carry water like a canteen, waterskin or water jar. This specialized saddle lets you carry great amounts of water that can be used to hydrate Koolasuchus when needed. This saddle lets the survivor rehydrate Koolasuchus up to 3 times. Abilities and attacks: - Left Click: Bite - Right Click: Swallow, Koolasuchus will swallow one enemy or ally, when Koolasuchus has swallowed anything his stomach will expand making him more vulnerable to all sorts of weapons and attacks, and also slowing Koolasuchus. If Koolasuchus swallows an ally, the ally will be save in Koolasuchus stomach, preventing it from receiving any damage (maybe it also heals allies inside his stomach???), to regurgigate the ally right click again, the ally can also free himself by clicking multiple times. When Koolasuchus has swallowed an enemy, the enemy inside Koolasuchus will start to receive damage gradually, the only way to scape Koolasuchus stomach is by punching from the inside of his stomach, when enough damage is deal Koolachus will regurgitate the enemy. Koolasuchus can also swallow allied and enemy mounts. - Space bar( Mortar mode): Koolasuchus will fill his stomach with acid, making it more vulnerable, and preventing it from moving. When this mode is activated, the rider of Koolasuchus will be granted a bird's-eye-view (like exo-mek). When this is activated Koolasuchus can launch acid balls to a determined position, making tons of damage to metal structures and gear, this attack is also capable of damaging tek structures. To cancel mortar mode press space bar again. To not make mortar mode OP in offline raiding (credits to Mangost for the idea) I've thought of two ways to make Koolasuchus fair for everyone, the first way would be that in order to shoot acid balls Koolasuchus would need a new item called Koolasuchus acid, this item would be passively generated inside Koolasuchus inventory each 30 minutes or so, this item would be stackeable. The second way would be that for each acid ball that Koolasuchus shoots it would lower its food stat, something like daedon with healing allies. - Pressing C(Acid ball and acid pool): When pressing c, a bar will start to fill, when filled totally Koolasuchus will fire a short distance acid ball, that deals less damage than mortar mode. If this ability is cancelled while charging Koolasuchus will make an acid pool around him, preventing melee enemies or mounts to attack him. (Some Concept art of Koolasuchus) And thats my submission, ark needs more Amphibians go team Koola. Also, if you reached this part, let me be clear, i had a bunch of creatures prepared for the next vote, but i had a mayor flaw, all the creatures i designed are marine, so i just had to recycle the old Koolasuchus submission. I even had the full drawn digitally dossiers. Let's hope Koola wins this time, it would be such a shame not having Koolasuchus in the game. We have no giant prehistoric amphibians representation. Also, i could have posted Mastodonsaurus (old submission of mine), but Mastodonsaurus being a giant siege beast just like the titans would be kinda odd in a way, idk how to explain myself really. BYEEEE!!!!
  2. Soo, does anybody know when the next community crunch is coming out???
  3. Love the dossier, but i still think this creature doesn't fit the aberration vibe. Creatures like both of the spiders or Koolasuchus fitted more.
  4. idk about the basket feature, i think that ability is more fitting for a creature with a large dewlap, like Stomatosuchus or Aristonectes. Either way cool creature.
  5. Maybe, but Omnidens is really big, so it moves really slow on land, i should have specificied that on the dossier. It can grab medium, small sized creatures and survivors with the pincers that are on the tip of its mandibles, and with the mandibles it grabs large creature. As i said Omnidens is not the greatest creature out of water, really slow and also bad turning radius so i thought giving it the ability to grab large creatures would be a neat way to balance its bad mobility out of water. Grabbing a large creature like a giga or a carcha during a raid or a tribe war may be game winning.
  6. Yeah, kinda sad to be honest, its not fair if an influencer comes and says "hey guys vote for my creature", if that happens you know that creature is winning
  7. Meet Omnidens Aequtor, a massive creature that resides in the deepest areas of the Ark. Name: Omnidens Species: Omnidens Aequtor Diet: Carnivore Time: Cambrian Temperament: Ambushing WILD: With lengths greater than those of Giganotosaurus Omnidens aequtor, it is probably the largest invertebrate that has ever existed. It resides in the depths of the ark, waiting for its prey to pass near it, most of its life is spent. Due to its size this creature seems to only feed on large creatures, and it will pay no attention to small creatures. the raisin buried in the seabed. Due to its large size, it cannot swim, to move, it uses its strong legs to adhere to the seabed and crawl through it easily. DOMESTICATED: No survivors have been able to tame one of these beasts, but if they could, the Omnidens Aequtor would make a magnificent siege mount. Thanks to its large size, I see no problem equipping Omnidens with a platform saddle. Its large pincers (on the tip of its massive mandibles) are especially adept and with each one it is capable of grasping creatures of considerable size, and if the animal probes to be too large I think it will be able to grasp them with its massive madibles. Omnidens secretes a very dense substance through his skin, I have seen survivors shooting it with heavy ammunition and the bullets are not able to pass through this dense mucous layer, also, when Omnidens feels threatened, it is capable of launching huge balls of acid from its back, this balls are extremely acidic and are capable of melting throuh metal gear with ease. Now lets explain everything in detail: NEW CROP: When Omnidens emerges from the hole in the seabed, different materials will come out that vary depending on the rarity, some of the objects that can come out are: Pearls, Stone, Sand, Rotten meat, Black Pearls, etc... Also creatures can come out of the hole, in this case only two come out: Trilobites and Eurypterids. And the rarest thing you can get is a Rangeomorph egg, this egg will only grow into an underwater Crop. I explain the process: 1) Place the underwater crop first, inside the crop inventory place Stone or Sand as Soil. 2) After some time place Rotten meat, this will create a Microbial Mat, thanks to this our Rangeomorph egg will grow. 3) Once the Rangeomorphs have grown, when you hit them with a wooden club or a sword you will get free organic polymer in your house, keep in mind that from time to time you have to fill the crop with rotten meat so that our Rangeomorphs can feed. TAMING: Taming an Omnidens is not an easy task, in the wild Omnidens are buried in large holes in the seabed, if you pass over their lair with a large creature, Omnidens will quickly come out of the depths and grab said creature (it does not matter make the creature immune to grabs, for example Basilosaurus). The recommended way to tame an Omnidens is to go with a small creature like an Icthyosaurus, an Anglerfish, a Diplocaulus or a Manta, since these creatures are too small to attract the attention of the Omnidens. Let's go step by step: 1) Find an Omnidens buried on the seabed. 2) Go with a small creature, the only creatures that will not attract the attention of an burrowed Omnidens are the Icthyosaurus, the Anglerfis, the Diplocaulus and the Manta. 3) Place C4 in the Omnidens hole. The number of C4 will depend on the level of the Omnidens. Once placed, explode them, this will cause a commotion and cause the Omnidens to be stunned for a few seconds, this will let you feed the Omnidens an item from a Marine Alpha creature, this will give about 25% taming (and maybe some extra stats once tamed). 4) Once this is done, Omnidens will have to be put to sleep like the rest of the creatures, thanks to the explosion of the C4 and the shock, Omnidens receives 50% more torpor. Omnidens is immune to any damage he takes on his armor, so you'll have to shoot tranq ammo under or through it (he's only immune when wild). 5) Once asleep, feed it with its favorite food (remains of marine alphas like Alpha Leediscthys Bubbler, Alpha Megalodon Fin, etc...). After a while you will have a tamed Omnidens. Omnidens can also be tamed if it is pulled from the seabed with a larger creature than the ones mentioned above. In this case, none of the benefits mentioned above will be obtained. Also, the grabbed creature will receive 5 ticks of damage and a lot of torpor due to the Omnidens. ABILITIES AND ATTACKS: - Passive: Omnidens cannot swim, it walks easily on the ocean floor and is capable of climbing any surface, both in and out of the water. - Passive: Omnidens takes reduced damage if hitted in his shell. - Left Click: Bite - Hold Left or Right: Pickup/Release creature with respective claw. This induces the creature a little torpor. - Pressing C : Pickup/Release big creatures with mandibles (Brontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Quetzal and other big creatures can be grabbed with this attacks), this attack induces a moderate amount of torpor. (Omnidens cannot drag aquatic creatures out of water with its grabbing abilitys). - CTRL+C: Bulletproof Mucus, this mucus allows Omnidens to ignore bullets for a short period of time. This mucus layer comes with a cost tho, to perform this ability Omnidens needs in their inventory: two full Water jars, a stack of biotoxin, 5 Anglergel and 5 Omnidens acid (Explained later). Bullets fired at Omnidens while this ability active will be sent to the Omnidens inventory. - Space bar(Mortar mode): Omnidens will shoot acid balls from its back, preventing it from moving. When this mode is activated, the rider of Omnidens will be granted a bird's-eye-view (like exo-mek). When this is activated Omnidens can launch acid balls to a determined position, making tons of damage to metal structures and gear, this attack is also capable of damaging tek structures. To cancel mortar mode press space bar again. To not make mortar mode OP in offline raiding I've thought of two ways to make Omnidens fair for everyone, the first way would be that in order to shoot acid balls Omnidens would need a new item called Omnidens acid, this item would be passively generated inside Omnidens inventory each 30 minutes or so, this item would be stackeable. The second way would be that for each acid ball that Omnidens shoots it would lower its food stat, something like daedon with healing allies. So that's my submission for the center, i based its color scheme on Bobbit worms and other annelids, hope you all enjoy it ^^.
  8. Yeah, thats exactly what i was going for. Also i checked and i saw Aberration didnt have like a big siege beast, so thats where the idea of a gigantic amphibian with hypnotic powers came. Since Mastodonsaurus is not winning, you should go and vote for Koolasuchus, we need an amphibian in ark, and koolasuchus right now has a ton of votes. Also, im working in another giant amphibian for the next Ark votes 😉
  9. Since evryone is posting their own iterations of Koolasuchus here is mine: Common name: Koolasuchus Species: Koolasuchus Caementus Time: Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Ambushing Wild: Koolasuchus Caementus is the largest amphibian on the island and also the most gluttonous creature i have seen so far in the ark, sporting sizes of those of spinosaurus. Here we have some old sketches and concept art of Koolasuchus Caeementus, this led to the dossier at the top of the submission: I think we need more amphibians in the game, right now we only have two amphibians in the game (diplocaulus and beelzebufo), and i think a giant powerful amphibian would be a neat addition to the game. I based his design and colors on carpet sharks.
  10. Really cool design, i like a lot, specially the glowing parts. I had an idea for it, the one quoted by Hatcheri, but now i moved from Koolasuchus since a ton of people are going for it. This time around my submission is Mastodonsaurus. Let's hope an amphibian wins this time, AMPHIBIAN POWER LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!
  11. Common Name: Mastodonsaurus Species: Mastodonsaurus leviathanica Time: Middle Triassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Ambushing (This is my first ever digital dossier) Wild: Probably the biggest amphibian to have ever existed, Mastodonsaurus leviathanica can sport lengths of up to 32 meters. This gargantuan creature can be found on the pools of the crystalline swamps and luminous marshlands where it spends the entirety of its life. Mastodonsaurus doesn’t move much, mainly catching prey by ambush, or luring them with their set of biolumiscent spots alongside its body, this creature appears to be putting its prey in some sort of trance, and then mastodonsaurus burst out of its hiding location and swallows the victim whole, so be careful when travelling throug this locations as you and your mount can end up as a Mastodonsaurus meal. Mastodonsaurus seems to have adapted a very particular paladar, it mostly feeds of cnidaria and electrophorus which seem to have granted Mastodonsaurus some sort of stunning bite that can let its opponents paralyzed, making them an easy meal for this amphibian. Domesticated: When tamed, Mastodonsaurus becomes the greatest warmount in this cave system. Thank to his massive size you can even build a platform on the back of this amphibian! Mastodonsaurus is a very swift swimmer but in land it becomes a really sluggish creature, moving really slow and making it a easy target for enemy survivors and other creatures, but is here where Mastodonsaurus shines (literally…), this creature can flash its brilliant lights rapidly and in different colours, any enemy that directly looks at the creature while doing this light show can be subject to seizures. Also thanks to the two massive tusk in his lower jaw, Mastodonsaurus can impale his opponents and then shook them with his bioelectric capabilities. Now lets explain everything in detail: Taming: Mastodonsaurus leviathanica can be found in the pools of the crystalline swamps and luminous marshlands, where it will stay motionless in the deepest areas of these pools. First of all, Mastodonsaurus is a passive tame. To tame it you will need to swim to its gaping mouth and feed it its favourite food, Bio Toxin, but this is no easy task since Mastodonsaurus will be shining its bioluminiscent spots when wild (when looking at this lights the survivor will start to receive torpor overtime and will start to move iregullarly), and then you may ask how do i get close to it without looking at it?, thats where the red mushrooms (with red root and pointed cap) enter into play, if you get the effect “Dizzy Spore” (Obtained from entering a area where there are red shrooms spores) the Mastodonsaurus lightshow wont affect you. Meaning you can finally get close to its mounth and feed it. But this doesnt mean the threat is over, when feeded mastodonsaurus will start to move to repositionate in another area, during this it becomes territorial and if it senses something near it it will attack it, so you better start swimming away after you feed it. After sometime you will have a tamed Mastodonsaurus. Abilities and attacks: - Left Click: Stunning bite, just like cnidaria, Mastodonsaurus bites inducing torpor and dismounting survivors, this attack has some delay so cant spam it to stunlock a mount or survivor. - Right Click: Grab, Mastodonsaurus grabs a creature in front of it, impaling it with its two massive tusk, this bleeding causes the victim to lose 10% of its max hp over 5 seconds. If Mastodonsaurus has a grabbed enemy in his jaws it can still bite. It can grab creatures up to the size of a Spino. - Pressing X: Mastodonsaurus quickly turns back (like sarcosuchus) - Pressing c :Activates the bioluminiscent spots, when this spots are activated Mastodonsaurus will start to shine its bioluminiscent spots in a quick sucession and in different colours. To stop these lights just press C again. This “attack” drains stamina periodically (like daeodon). The effect of this lights varies depending on the victim: - Survivors: Survivors that directly look at Mastodonsaurus while the lights are active will get start to get dizzy, increasing their torpor as long as the are looking at Mastodonsaurus, they will also start to move irregullarly and will get limited vision. - Mounts: Mounts wont get any of the effects mentioned, instead if the stay close to Mastodonsaurus a bar will start to fill, when this bar is filled the mount will enter some sort of trance and wont obey any commands as long as Mastodonsaurus stays close. If you dont want your mount to enter this state, the only thing you need to is run away for a few seconds and let that bar drain, when is drained up, go back into action. Saddles: - Regular Saddle: Just a regular saddle for Mastodonsaurus - Platform Saddle: A saddle with a platform where you can build. - Platform Saddle with magnifying glass: A platform saddle with glasses that cover the bioluminiscent spots of Mastodonsaurus. This specialized saddle adds the effects of a flashbang after Mastodonsaurus activates its bioluminiscent spots, blinding opponents for a few seconds and also dropping whatever they were holding at the moment. And that my submission for Aberration, i think it feets really well with the aesthetic of aberration, also, Ark lacks amphibians. I think we need more amphibians in the game, right now we only have two amphibians in the game (diplocaulus and beelzebufo), and i think a giant powerful amphibian would be a neat addition to the game. I based his design and colors on deep sea fish. This is also a direct succesor to Koolasuchus caementus.
