  1. The omniden is the coolest reptaring thing I've seen all day thank you
  2. I am bringing this back for Gen 2, but probably nothing else
  3. Welcome survivors! Introducing to you, Aerosteon: The Phantom (ART DONE BY ZCI5250, known as crab, he´s great) (Also go vote for Zheny by TaronCapala!) Common Name: Aerosteon Species: Aerosteon Phantasma Time: Late Creatceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Found in the incredibly dangerous Forbidden Zone, Aerosteon phantasma seems somewhat out of place among the rampant hordes of corrupted creatures. These large megaraptorids can be seen taking advantage of the vertical terrain to move around and will often try to avoid combat. I am guessing that the only reason these dinosaurs live here is that a small population was trapped here and forced to adapt. And adapt they did, to a bizarre extent. It seems that the corruption in an Aerosteon's body allows it to turn completely invisible for a certain amount of time! The only way to spot a camoflauged Aerosteon is to look for the purple mist that is emitted from its body, but the various hostile creatures of the region don't seem to have caught on to this fact. Domesticated: Tribes have found that by playing a sort of "hide and seek" game and feeding wild Aerosteon corrupted hearts, survivors can gain the Aerosteon´s trust. This ghostly theropod has several rows of long quills along its tail which are laced with neurotoxins that can induce blindness and auditory hallucinations in those affected. Hence, Aerosteon is usually used by tribes as a supporting mount in combat. I've also been told the quills can be harvested and mixed with corruption nodules to revert their effects, this can then be fed to unconscious creatures to give them sweet dreams and make them forget their precious trauma Abilities: Active abilities: Bite (, , ): A simple bite which does low damage but has fast attack speed, can be charged to do more damage by holding the button, when charged it plays a claw slice animation Phase (Click C, , ): The Aerosteon turns invisible at the cost of stamina, you can see a trail of mist left behind as it moves, this increases its movement speed but makes it unable to attack and it now takes 3x more damage Sensory Quills (, , ): It launches quills from the back of its tail laced in toxins, this quills blind the target and cause auditory hallucinations/deafness, also slows down creature, won´t slow player due to that being quite annoying Lunge (Press Space, , ): It lunges itself forward hitting creatures on a straight path, the creatures in its path will get the "Weakened" debuff, which denies any armor Climb: The Aerosteon is able to climb up walls the same way a Deinonychus would by leaping, if you press space will climbing the Aerosteon will drop down, if the “Mobility boost” is active you can lunge straight out of the cliffs onto enemies the same way a Thyla would Passive abilities: Carrion harvesting: Can harvest corrupt modules 2x more efficiently and every other resource 1.5x, he gets argy healing when eats corpses and corrupt nodules heal 20 health Pack Boost: A pack boost which can be obtained when up to 4 Aeros are together, works the same way as any other pack boost Harvest Reward: After harvesting 5 creatures your meter will fill up allowing you to choose 1 of 3 buffs -Damage buff: He gets faster attack speed and higher damage, and the effects of his attack last longer -Mobility boost: Gets more speed, and the lunge is able to go further, unlocks the ability to lunge while climbing like a Thyla -Health regen: Gets defense buff and regenerates a flat amount of health Taming Method: To tame the Aerosteon you must bring a corpse to it, once it eats it the taming process will begin, it will turn invisible you'll have to track it and interact with it, then it will turn back to normal and allow you to feed it corrupted hearts to gain affinity, then again it will turn invisible once more, rinse and repeat until tamed QoF Features and Uses: Quill Corrupted Meat: This bunch of meat is full of quill toxin and can be fed to sleeping dinos to reset their taming effectiveness or to tamed dinos to reset their levels (Only crafted in Aeros inventory) Craft: 350 corrupt nodules, 10 meat, 5 quills, 30 corrupt hearts PvP design and uses: This creature is designed to be a support mount, it can get into the head of combat of course, but the way you would want to use it is by keeping it in the side lines using the sensory quills against mounted creatures and survivors, while also using the lunge attack against soakers to be able to kill them more effectively by denying armor Aerosteon also works as a scouting mount, by using the phase ability and climbing ability you can spy on your enemies bases/fobs while they gear up, this also allows you to get into strategic places to give you a better fighting chance PvE design and uses: As for PvE this brings a general combat mount to the table but also some QoL changes such as the Quill Corrupted Meat which works to reset the taming effectiveness of creature bringing it up to a 100% instantly, done for those times where a stupid compy attacks your 150 knocked stego and then you have to wake it up again just to get the effectiveness up to 100%. Also works as a Mindwipe for tamed dinos since being able to repurpose creature would make life less tedious, no more breeding two argies for different purposes, now you can repurpose it once you don't need it for a specific thing anymore Also vote for Darwin and Hatze, they are EXTRA cool Image by LouisBio! Thank you Louis 🫂
  4. Tartuosteus, Derp Fish Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the TARTUOSTEUS DOSSIER Wild TARTUOSTEUS can be found in the shallower parts of the oceans of the ark. You can see them hanging out in groups from 1 to 4 individuals. They are noticed by their cute derpy smiles, armored plates, and bony tail. Like Ichtys they will actually sometimes come up to you. These creatures are friendly to anything that doesn’t want to eat them and sometimes you can see Ichthyosaur and Mantas hanging around cus they just love its positive aura! When attacked, Tartuosteus will try to swim away, but when it reaches half health, it will puff up in a defensive state with the sharp points of its plates sticking out deflecting damage back to opponents. When in this state, their defense will increase and sometimes they will swing their bony tail against its predator's skull to let them know who is the smiling king of the reefs! Even though their diet mainly consists of microorganisms that they filter out of the water they are happy to crush anything with a shell with their bony tails and slurp up their insides! Their favorite snack are ammonites, as they love ammonite bile and are also immune to the effects of it! The TARTUOSTEUS seems to have algae growing on its shell but instead of trying to get rid of them to snack on, Tartuo lets them stay as the algae lower the aggro range of creatures. When the algae is too much they will try to get rid of some as too much can slow it down! So when you do have one tamed try to trim its algae from time to time! Taming To tame a TARTUOSTEUS you need to make use of its dumb mind! First of all you need to take some C4 with you. Then, Tartuosteus will approach you and when close you can feed them some C4 as they are too dumb to realize it’s a bomb. Swim away and let the C4 detonate. Because of the strong interior of this bony fish it can survive the explosion, but it will go into a dizzy like state. When this happens, go up to it and feed it some ammonite bile! When you’ve done this, creatures will come after you and the Tartuo will puff up in its defensive state protecting itself. When you’ve cleared all the dangers it will deflate again and after some time its dumb mind will forget you’ve just blown its insides and it will be a rinse-and-repeat! Domesticated The TARTUOSTEUS might seem like a dumb and un-useful creature but don’t judge a book by its cover! This derpy fish will be your dumbest but best friend with their constant positivity and derpy smile! In water the Tartuo will passively provide you with oxygen when you are near or riding it. Their positive nature can give allies and tames a buff called the Positivity Buff that works slightly like a lesser Courage Roar. Their large bony tails are perfect for shattering the oceans rocks and ores and with its weight reduction it will be like your underwater Ankylosaur! With its strong insides it is able to turn solid rock into powder making their insides work like a mobile mortar and pestle but with some improvements, like making gunpowder inside. The TARTUOSTEUS has a quite cool ability where it can puff up. Its normal bloat that can be controlled will swell up its belly but the plates' sharp points won’t be sticking out like they do in its defense bloat. Tartuo can be puffed up by sucking in water and then going on to land! Because it’s sucked up water before, it can survive some time on land and bounce around on the beaches, crushing creatures that are unfortunate to end up under it. If you don’t puff it in water beforehand, the Tartuo will immediately deflate again, taking damage, so make sure that if this happens you get it back in the water as fast as you can! Their defense bloat will be activated when it reaches half health; this will result in the pointy sharp plates deflecting damage back to their opponents, and a stronger defense buff. After time it will deflate again and you can go on with your passive smiling fish navigating through the ocean. But the plates aren’t only used for defense. You can also use them to see if there are any alphas nearby as the plates will point out even when it’s deflated when alpha creatures are near. This isn’t the only thing as the Tartuo will leave a bubble trail when max level creatures are nearby as well! Probably the weirdest aspect of this creature are its… babies? Tartuosteus females don’t need a mate to lay eggs but this doesn’t mean you will get healthy babies. Even though the babies are underdeveloped and not actually alive/conscious you can still see their beautiful smiles in the eggs. But the most remarkable part of these underdeveloped babies is the fact they will still passively try to puff up. But because their bloat organs aren’t fully developed yet instead of puffing up they will blow up… This might sound really cruel but the babies don’t feel anything and don’t even know they exist. But these explosive eggs can be used as a deadly weapon when put in a cannon or simply thrown by hand; they will blow up doing damage to your foes. And because the saddle of the adults have built in baby cannons their cannons can be loaded with babies and mixed with gunpowder the babies can be shot right out of the cannons with an even deadlier impact. The babies actually have different explosive states, one being almost like land mines when creatures come close they will blow up, the other can be thrown or shot acting like bombs that explode on impact with creatures or enemies and lastly one kind has a really sticky egg shell making them work like sticky bombs! Yep this might seem really cruel and you might feel bad but remember their smiles say enough! Tartuos still can be bred normally with a male and infertile eggs can also be moved to the inventory of the males. Normal breeding will give you just one egg tho that will need to be hatched in water mate boost also will work normally on pairs and actually double the positivity buff! If you have a male around and still want infertile bomb eggs just make sure mating is off! ABILITIES Primary Attack (, , 😞 Tail attack, breaks stones and ores and the faces of creatures Secondary Attack (, , 😞 Bloat, can activate any time but without its stronger defense buff and spikes. Can activate it in defense bloat mode when reaching half health, this bloat will stay only a limited time. Jump (Press Space, , 😞 Bounce; only when bloated on land X Activate Cannons (Click C, , ) Shoot (, , ) Aim (, , ) Toggle Modes (Left Ctrl, , ) Modes: mine, bomb, and sticky The eggs wil have different colors based on wich ability they have! (Be sure to look out for the golden baby egg that will give a giant explosion) Passive Abilities bubble shooting when survivor is near or on it so the survivor doesn’t need oxygen for a limited time Defense bloat lil bro will bloat up but this time with defense buff and spikes that will knockback damage back like kentro/arthro/shadowmane Items JET SURFING BOARD For this you will need tartuo fins. This surfing board makes navigating through the ocean super easy with its high speed and mobility you can race on the waves. Because of the tartuo fins on the sides you can make sharp turns, you can also super boost making you even faster but this has a cool down and you’ll need to have enough gasoline on you! DERP ELIXIR Positivity buff 40% percent More than 5 percents derp fish passively does Agro range lowered Jellyfish won’t attack you 5 percent taming efficiency Boosts crafting skill for limited amount of time Recipe: Trimmed algae, Ammonite bile, Angler gel, Water, Basilo blubber Utility & Scenarios PvE: The TARTUOSTEUS is a good and reliable water mount. The Tartuo brings a way to harvest ores and rocks underwater, and with its strong insides being able to be your mounted improved mortar and pestle it can be useful in both gathering and crafting scenarios. One of its most useful scenarios is that it can kill any shelled creatures with ease and has a high harvesting rate, and an even larger one for ammonite bile and it also being immune to the effects of the bile! Its ability to bounce on land also makes it so you don’t need it to stay in the waters all the time, its positivity buff is highly useful for you allies and its derpy smile is enough to make everyone happy. And even though it might look very dumb it can definitely pack a punch!! Its items are supposed to be providing help with navigating on waters, helping with taming, helping with the dangers of the ark, crafting skill and lastly POSITIVITY. PvP: The Tartuosteus is the first proper water soaker, in its bloated state it is able to withstand a large amount of upcoming damage with no issues whatsoever, its undeveloped eggs can be highly explosive if disturbed and might cause some serious damage to any enemy unfortunate enough to get hit by one of them, apart from being able to take a beating if damaged enough it might return the favour by poking out its sharp plates and stabbing its attacker back everytime it hits it. Tartuosteus has both incredible defence and powerful offence and it is not something to be overlooked in water combat and raiding . CONCLUSION Atm the dossier is still in the works but stay tuned! I wanna do big credit to the team of friends I worked with and the amazing artists helping me. Credits to riskybiscuits, lapis, opal, miheal, jimmy and the rest of the team!
  5. Spawning in the bioluminesence lakes, they have sexual dimorphism with females being more agile on land and males being more agile on water Attacks and abilities: Lets get the boring stuff out of the way Regular bite: Light damage but fast attack speed Ricochet jump: They have a charged jump, whenever the meso touches a surface itll use its legs to bounce off of said surface, the females will do the same thing but in water, they use their webbed feet to bounce off of the surface of the water both from inside and outside the water Repelling electricity: It uses charge from its body to project it on the ground and repel or get creatures closer to it, that aspect depends on the gender as females will atract creatures with electricity and males will repel them Flying tail smash: When pressing C while on mid air, itll do a tail smash once it touches the floor, when underwater this attack can only be used when ricocheting off of the water surface and itll trigger an tail spin instantly When near light pets they will get use their static electricity to help them charge faster They also get a speed buff upon consuming gems, while also boosting its repelling electricity radius This creatures movement tech abilities I think fit great in aberration since it uses the map verticality with it, picture ricocheting off of a cave wall to make it up to the ledge of another wall in the opposite side, it adds more movement which is needed, but I didnt feel like making a rock drake clone
  6. Dossier: "Wild: Guanlong is an elusive dromeosaur which can be found near the wyvern trench, preying on its inhabitants eggs, while you may think that Guanlong and Wyvern Draconis would be polar opposites because of this, it is quite the contrary, Guanlong sports a thick coat of feathers used for insulation, these feathers are coated with a flammable substance which will catch on fire when in contact with any creature, this daredevil of a reptile carries a long and thick tail which it uses to slam into the ground, this not only send smaller creatures flying high up into the air but also covers all of them in the flammable substance, catching them on fire, then the Guanlong is free to pick them off the air with its specialised teeth, which are better are cutting through cooked meat. I've seen survivor counter Guanlong great speed with bear traps and bolas which are effective against it Domesticated: I've seen very few tribes tame such creatures, as their preferred home is in quite the hot spot, but after being trapped in bear traps or bolas and being fed wyvern eggs, they can be tamed. They can even be mounted with heavily armored saddle, after this Guanlong can be used as a hit and run creature, as the more damage it deals to its enemies, the more excited it will get and the faster it will become (similar to carchar), this also means that shooting and hurting Pyroraptor will make it pump adrenaline and loose stamina slower" The idea behind Guanlong would be a carno-sized hit and run dinosaur which uses its abilities to weaken its enemies, eventually picking them off by using combos of attacks and trying to stack the most amount of buffs onto it Guanlong would hold great speed, slightly outspeeding carnos, a low amount of damage which would be increased via abilities and buffs, a decent amount of health compared to what allosaurus have, and a great amount of stamina Pyroraptor would have a bunch of abilities, starting with the most important one: Adrenaline: Similar to the carchar buff, Guanlong will get faster the more damage it deals towards enemies, not kills, but damage, so the buff will be easier to build up. Take into account this buff will be reset if the Guanlong is bolad or fall into a bear trap Tail smash: Guanlong has an attack in which it will smash its tail into the ground (can be done while running) doing a small amount of AoE damage, all the targets inside its radius will be burnt for a small amount of time (1.5-2 seconds) and will be shot up into the air, this is made so Guanlong can pick them off the air, it could work on bigger creatures the size of allos, but going over that seems overkill Passive abilities: Cooked Flesh Enjoyer: Due to its specialised teeth, Guanlong deals 1.5x (can be tweaked) more damage to enemies which are on fire, this is on of the buffs which should be used in combination with others to attain the most amount of damage Stamina Junkie: When receiving damage Guanlong will get a buff which gives it a huge stamina regen buff, to balance this out, this passive buff will have a major cooldown Flammable substance: When mounting this creature you receive a buff which makes you invulnerable to fire damage, this also stays after dismounting the creature for around 20 seconds Counters: Anything which can slow down Guanlong is a major counter, so bolas and bear traps would fit this role greatly, although pyroraptors are quite big, bolas would still work on them for balancing and taming purposes, and because a creature running so fast wouldnt take kindly to slipping over and getting bolad Taming: (I am taking a lot of feedback on here so if you have another taming method which sounds better, feel free to let me know) Guanlongs taming method is rather simple, use either a bear trap ot a bola to stop it, and then either passive feed, or throw a wyvern egg near it so it cna eat it and gain tame affinity, the tame efficiency is determined by the level of the egg you feed it
