  1. Dossier Description: Out of all the creatures I’ve found on this forsaken ark I wouldn’t have thought one of the few prehistoric animals on it would be a giant predatory roach, but here we are. Manipulator Myrmeleonis is the largest insect I’ve seen since the Rhyniognatha. The Manipulator is a incredibly aggressive carnivore that seems to mostly prey on the glow-bugs that fly around the caves, causing it to develope a charge glow of it’s own. Despite its large wings it seems to be unable to fly, only being able to slow its fall with rapid wing-flaps this, combined with ist ability to jump to heights even a karkinos would miss make it an incredibly dangerous predator. The Manipulator could most likely be tamed by offering it some kind of charge. Due to its diverse abilities it would make quite the formidable combat mount, especially if equipped with some sort of armored saddle. Taming Method: To tame a Manipulator you’ll need atleast 1 charge battery. Then you’ll need to slowly and carefully approach it, before mounting it. Once mounted a mini-game is started where you have to feed and pet the Manipulator, if it knocks you off, it will flee, so be careful where you decide to tame it! Abilities/Attributes/Use: Attacks/Active Abilities: Slash attack: The Manipulator uses its large claws to slash at it’s prey. dash: The Manipulator uses its wings to dash into any direction, grappling medium sized prey and performing an execution. Jump: A charged up jump similar to the Karkinos. Lantern light: the Manipulator if fed with charge batteries will start emmiting charge light. Roar: because it’d be cool.Slow fall: Can slow its fall by flapping its wings wildly. Climbing: Like the rock drake and the megalania, the Manipulator can climb walls, while climbing it cannot dash. Other stuff/Passive abilities: Wild Manipulators can be scared off by charge lights, specifically when their charge light is disabled. Emote combatibility: Just like the bloodstalker it will mimic certain emotes. It can wear hats. Armored saddle. slight resistance to reaper acid. can breed. Size: between a Raptor and a Carno. Where can it be found?: Fertile Chamber (rare spawn) Upper Biolume Chamber (common Spawn) learn more about the real Manipulator: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manipulator_(insect)
  2. Some small suggestions, specifically some pros and cons it should have. So what pros and cons does a regular cheetah have? Well, Pros: -SPEED (Obviously) -It chirps (look it up, it's adorable.) Cons: -Sucks at combat (They're literally only built for speed.) -anxiety after getting a kill (because they suck at combat.) -Anxiety when baby. (Because they're babies, and suck at combat, like all babies.) How could we incorparate these thing into the cheetah? First off ,it should chirp, so that's one down. Other than that, it should have relatively low health, so it isn't a killing machine, but rather a glass... bullettrain? We're gonna skip that second con because getting a debuff when killing something would be annoying. So how could we include the third con? Well in real life cheetah cubs often need a comfort dog to be raised properly, how could we introduce this into ark? Simple, If you have a baby direwolf and a baby cheetah, the cheetah will receive a buff where the timer for imprinting will be cut down a bit, how much depends on server settings, the level of cheetah and the level of the direwolf, the buff will also cause imprinting to be more effective on the cheetah and the direwolf. (the direwolf will not have a shortened timer) I think this should balance things out as well as make the animal feel just a little more like it's modern day counterpart.
  3. Dossier Description: Kelenken is a giant Carnivorous Bird that can be found gliding around the canyons and cliffs of the Ark. The Kelenken is highly aggressive towards any animals that approach it, as is needed in an ecosystem filled with giant Theropods twice it's size. Kelenken are perfectly evolved for arid environments, the higher the temparature, the faster they are. They can often be found in pairs that have an incredibly strong connection, being basically inseperable. If someone were to try to tame one of the pair, they'd most likely need to tame both of them, as a lonely Kelenken quickly becomes depressed if not accompanied by it's partner. Taming Method: Lone Kelenken: A lone will often sit down and mope around, giving you the oppurtunity to feed it some incredibly delicious treats (Jerky, Mutton, Kibble etc.) to try and raise it's moral. Pair of Kelenkens: A pair of Kelenkens is a force to be reckoned with, unless, you are riding a terror bird. Kelenken seem to have no quarrel with their lesser brethren, and will except your presence as long as you have a tamed Terror Bird next to you, at this point you'll need to feed both Kelenkens with anything from spoiled meat to Mutton (they'll be happy with anything, as long as they're together.) Current Abilities/attributes/use: Abilities/Attacks: Bite/Kick: it's a simple attack. Pick Up: The Kelenken picks up and swallows small creatures Regurgitation: After swallowing a few small creatures alive and digesting them, a kelenken can regurtite it's stomach acid to defend its self from any foes. Screech: Because why not. Gliding: Much like terror birds Kelenken can glide, but unlike their smaller cousins they glide more like Rock drakes or Maewings, while also still having the abilitie to slow their fall by flapping their wings rapidly AB-Manipulator-The Bioluminescent Ambush Hunter: Out of all the creatures I’ve found on this forsaken ark I wouldn’t have thought one oft he only real animals on it would be a giant predatory roach, but here we are. 4. As always, I'll wait for it to actually be in game instead of moping around now
  5. This seems like it's gonna be a great tame to have. I hope it's gonna be useful in PVE.
  6. You weren't even able to see which one of the submissions was in first during the vote though?
  7. How? this was submitted by someone in this community, and voted for by people in this community. Then there's the fact that in 2015 the Onyc (a non-tameable giant bat) was added to Ark , which is surprisingly before 2017 ,when conan was released.
  8. So, my opinion on the bat winning: Unexpected. I voted for the Armidillosuchus, but this definitly fits the map better especially since Fjordur has alot of large caves. My opinion on the Carchar coming out: The carchar didn't win this vote so we still got some pretty good and unique creatures. I'm not saying that the carchar can't be unique, I'll wait to see what wildcard does with it before I get a negative or positive feeling about it.
  9. Didn't the person who made Fjordur heavily promote the bison on twitter? I could've sworn I heard something about that somewhere.
  10. There's one major problem with this and that is: the fact that unless The Poop throw disables the element powered abilities of mechanical creatures like enforcers, Attack drones and Defense units it's basically not that much of a desireable tame for pve/singleplayer. I voted for the Dinopithecus because most of the ideas behind it seemed unique. Now the only unique things about it are that it can pack buff other creatures which is great and it can be used specifically for a gamemode that I don't even play... Which is "great". Wildcard most likely would've changed any suggested creatures abilities to completely different ones that have little to do with the reasons people actually voted for it. Even if the carchar or the Cerato had won, The Ideas you actually voted for also would not be the creature you'd get in the end, They most likely would've turned out like this: A creature that is pretty standard except for one ability that makes it useful for one specific gamemode that you specifically may not even play. Which is just pretty crappy if you actually think about it, But if the Carchar does turn out to be the third creature. I hope I'm wrong and that it'll actually be unique and not just well, kinda boring, seemingly useless outside of pvp and just not really the thing you wanted.
