Will this be the first time a big update has been on a Sunday?

Merry Christmas wonderful Wildcard team! I can't even imagine what I would be playing if it weren't for Ark! What a wonderful year it has been and I am so excited for what is coming up next!

I keep seeing people say that the WW event is not going to be on Lost Island but I must be blind because I don't see where the official word of that is. Any help?

Did I miss the announcement of the people who won the First to Get All the Chibis contest?

This is just soo much fun! I have no idea what a Chibi Pet is but it sounds so much fun to collect them all. Merry Christmas Wildcard!!!

I am so confused. The artlcle states that Winter Wonderland is coming next week but we already have Raptor Clause on our unofficial server. We are not able to see the holiday items in the vanilla cooking pot though. Our admin said he didn't add the event to the server. Any ideas of what is going on?

Oh my goodness! I was just thinking about this today. If we could just incorporate the building structures from Primitive plus, it would make so many people happy. My favorite mod besides Structures + and CKF is OzoCraft. I wish we could have those structures even more. The guy that did that mod really knew what he was doing. It works so nicely in Ark. He put in the pieces that we are missing for building more detailed builds and the textures are just gorgeous! The bottom line is that we need more building structures in the base game. I would much rather have new structures than new creatures any old day of the year!

I am so thankful that you guys still do the Community Crunch. Don't ever think that there are not tons of us out here that are very glad you take the time to do what you do.

Truly, Ark people are the most creative people! All of the eggs are so gorgeous! Thanks again for the fun Easter event! I love all my Easter colored dinos!

My biggest question is if we will be able to keep our holiday items this time. In all past holidays, most event items have disappeared after it is over. What can we expect this time around?

I am very curious about something. Gamepedia shows all of the cute Easter skins, that are shown in the picture, for Eggcellent Adventure 3. Will we be able to get them this year and if so, will we be able to keep them? I am a little worried, but I guess more confused. How will our unofficial server be affected when the S+ update becomes official and we are already running the S+ mod?

Free for a week means that you can buy it during that week and then you won't have to pay for it later or does that mean it is free to try out for a week and then if you still want it, you pay for it?

It all really does boil down to Wildcard taking control of the maps. I do not want to pay for a game and then have some random person tell me where or how I can build. 1.Enough protected resources need to be available, protected by the map, not by random people. 2. The kibble problems need to be resolved so that every single tribe does not feel they need huge bases to house hundreds of dinos. Smaller bases will free up more land. 3. People need to realize that we don't need them to block off forests, entire beaches, whole cliff areas and rivers. If pillaring is allowed, that is what happens. It is easy to say we need the pillars to protect resources but if pillaring is allowed, there will always be people who feel they are entitled to pillar everything in site because they can. Every official server I have played on has those people. On the one official server that I have played on for over two years it has been interesting to watch the process. I have my little base up on that waterfall cliff on the west side of The Island. There is a huge beach area that goes from the waterfall river all the way to the snow area. I have watched so many people come and go. They pillar up the entire beach area below me and always say that they want to be sure and have the area for expanding their base. They usually build a gigantic base but don't use near all the beach area. It stays pillared up though, until they finally do leave and the beach is empty again, until the next person comes along. When new people spawn in, they should be able to build a small base, but because the whole area is "protected" they are not able to even put down a thatch hut to survive the night. It is definitely a problem. I sure hope Wildcard can figure out a solution.

I just wish we could get the chance to try playing without people feeling like they need to protect us or protect the map. Maybe Wildcard would just have some areas that they put building restrictions on to protect just enough of resource areas so this is not a problem. We play this game to survive. Surely we could survive a little bit of annoyance sometimes. I remember way back in the beginning of the game before people knew about "protecting" everything. Someone might put something where you didn't like it but after a while, it despawned. We might have a bit of annoyance for awhile but at least we didn't see pillars all over the map and just have to live like that forever. The problem with allowing people to "protect" everyone and everything is that people tend to over do it. We should have the game developers decide where we can build, not the people who land on a map. It just does not work. If there is a path that needs protected then the map needs to protect the path, not people who want to have us play the way they think we should. On The Island, there is metal all over the map but people just go up to where the most metal spawns because it is easier to do that. There is metal that spawns everywhere but no one bothers to harvest it because they don't need to. We just load up our dinos and go where it is easy and we are done. I would like to actually see how it would be to have a map that does not have pillars all over it. I would like to play on a map that does not have a few people tell us where we can build and where we can harvest. I would guess that this is the reason most people don't play on official and I sure do understand why they would not want to. Why is it that we can play on an unofficial server where we have rules about pillaring but not on official. If it can work on unofficial, it should work on official, too.
