  1. Started of by taking the new poison wyvern round for a spin in order to level it up (all into weight and stamina at this point, so it can become my heavy weiggt hauler) at the same time looking for high level thylos and barys. Eventually found a 135 male bary in the mud flats so got it back to base and knocked it out. Grabbed the Ichyornis and went up to one of the pools where the coel gather to fish them for prime fish meat. Theres something satisfying about fishing with an ichyornis, I know alot of people hate them (well the wild ones anyway) but i do have a soft spot for them. Farmed up enough prime fish and tamed up the bary. Went back out on the wyvern again and after a round or two more in the south decided that I should really suck it up and look for thylos in the redwood forest, been trying to avoid that as I usually end up dying alot hunting thylos this way. Didnt die once but I didnt find any high level thylos either. Went back to base and picked up the anky as the poison had more than enough weight in it by now and did a quick metal run and filled up the forge. Swapped out to the new lightning wyvern to level it up and did another circuit looking for thylos and barys. No luck, I did see a 130 female bary but decided to find something higher but didnt luck out. Found another 156 stego, this time a male and took it back to the taming pen and knocked it out. Filled it up with berries and logged off for the night, the stego should be fine to tame up.
  2. Finally got the structures together to put in a new platform on the bird tower so I can store some of the wyverns I had hatched up. Then hopped on a Wyvern for a bit of exploration, hit up the red drops in the snow cave and the desert got a few good things. Looked for a high level thylo or bary but no luck there, however I did find a 156 tek stego, so I picked it up and took it back to the taming pen. Knocked it out and tamed it up.
  3. I for some strange reason keep forgetting this fact lol
  4. Not much today. Quickly jumped on to check out the new update and to take my new fire wyvern out for a spin. Saw a drop dead gorgeous blue rex and a blue allo, just a pity they were such low levels. Might need to start hunting for otters again to get a nice blue one and maybe even strike lucky for the dream blue fire wyvern. Pity we only have a week of these colours.
  5. Aimed for raising some wyverns tonight. Started off by taming up a pair of parasaurs for the kibble farm while I waited for daytime. Then it was off to the wyvern trench to farm up some wyvern milk. Knocking out the wyverns was a bit more sketchy than I would have liked. There seemed to be a bit of a wyvern shortage so I had to resort to targeting female lightning wyverns which I prefer to avoid and also the wyverns were higher levels than I would have liked. I usually aim for fires and poisons with a preference of low level fire wyverns as they are the least likely to kill you with a well aimed shot. There was one dodgey moment when I was trying to knock out a 180 female fire wyvern (I was desperate) in the trap, where I didnt clock a straggler poison wyvern which was still aggroed on me from the last egg I nicked, nearly killed me. Destroyed most of my armour and I have no idea how the poison shot didnt kill me. Apart from the knocking out shenanigans, I got a 175 fire egg so was pretty happy with that and got 5 wyverns worth of milk, more than enough with spares. Flew back to base and hatched up the 175 fire as well as the 180 lightning and 190 poison. Was pleased with the fire colour (Spitfire) love the red, but I wasnt sold on the other two. The lightning (named it Zekrom) is a bit dark for my liking, I prefer vibrant blue colours. I dont think its an event colour although maybe it is. The posions (as of yet unnamed) is definatly an event colour and while it is cool being what looks pure black, it was kinda ruined by that stunning black and white posion I saw in the trench about 30 minutes earlier. So I let them grow up and 100% imprinted them before logging of for the night. Fun times not even a single dashboard tonight, well done xbox !
  6. Not much today. Started the kibble farm. Built the barn into the overhang/cave thing below my main base to make the most of the limiting space which seems to become more limiting by the build. Just need to build the inside platforms and ramps and of course start taming kibble dinos..... Got two stegos which I tamed ages ago but thats it.
  7. Not much today. Gathered up some metal and tamed up a 150 morelatops for the fun of it. Thought it would make berry farming a bit more enjoyable, been a while since I tamed one. Did another trench run and lucked out on a 170 poison and a 180 lightning. All I need to do now is hatch the things and imprint fully on them. Still missing out on the high level fire egg to imprint on, I like having a high level fully imprinted fire and lightning to chose from and rotate between. The poison shall be a good weight hauler as I am not a big fan of them. Need to work on getting an ice one too but I am not too fussed.
  8. There is that, was glad to get a 165 Cant wait to get a nice coloured 190 100% imprinted one . Bright red or completly black would be awesome. What can I say. Definitely crazy here not going to deny it. I like it alot, although I do prefer nice vibrant colours, like golds and oranges in thylos, or the dream blue/cyan. I do appreciate the white and black though.
  9. Yeah it seems like it is normal unfortunately. 16 for gamma, 45 for beta and 95 for alpha according to the wiki page. Could be wrong here but I beleive I saw a tweet saying its being looked into to change it. https://ark.gamepedia.com/The_Center_Arena_(The_Center)
  10. Another productful day. Started of by installing all the electricals into the breeding barn. Got the AC units and fridges in now so ready to roll with any breeding. Went across to the wyvern trench for my first wyvern egg run with my griffin. As I feared all the eggs had not been cleared out enough recently so most had spoiled so I had to clear out the trench before getting any luck. Even found a nest which had two eggs in it which shows it hadnt been cleared out since the nest fix. Obviously no one knew about that nest lol. A command which clears out the nest is certainly needed or at least include wild wyvern eggs in dino wipes. Eventually started to get a few eggs. Wasnt too much of a hassle, I remeber stealing eggs on a griffin being so much more stressful. Dont think one wyvern got me at all. Got a fire lvl 20, lvl 40 poison, lvl 65 fire and eventually lucked out for a lvl 165 fire so called it quits at that. Incubated the 65 and 165 eggs. Both came out singles, the 65 being an ok colour while the 165 came out in a rather sickly yellow colour, not a big fan of it. Plan was for the 65 wyvern to be a weight hauler but I dont think the stats will allow it like I hoped so it might be a dud. The 165 will be my main wyvern untill I get to the point of imprinting wyverns. Currently in the process of crafting up metal structures for a wyvern trap so itll eventually happen. Once they grew up I took them out for a spin. Nearly got the 65 killed when attacking a pack of allos. Took the other out and raided a few beaver dams for cementing paste. Went on a quick exploration south to install an oil pump in the desert to sort out my oil problems. Found a 145 thylocoleo so nabbed it and took it back to base to tame up. Think its an event coloured dino and not a big fan of it but wasnt passing up the level. Nah what am I saying I like the white, just would prefer a nice golden colour or might I say cyan... Went back south to do a bit of drop hunting. Just the usual junk but lucked out on some ascendant fur gauntlets and to my joy an ascendant pump shotgun. On the way back to base I swung back round by green ob to pick up a 145 white event coloured pachy I spotted earlier. Took it back to base and tamed it up. Dyed one of the stgyi skins I had to match it and the stygi is now keeping the other one company next to the fire place. Finally, finished putting together all the resources needed to craft up an industrial forge and installed the thing. Crafted a wee bunker for it just to make it look more at home and more aesthetically pleasing rather than just left dumped on some foundations.
  11. Good luck and may the Ark Gods smile in your favour Looking forward to hearing how it went.
  12. Had a very productful evening. Finally decided on the location for the breeding barn. Thought about converting the current stables into one but decided to build one to a design I came up with on single player and another server. The location isnt quiet where I had hoped but I was limited by space. Slogged at resource harvesting and construction all evening, and the building is now structually complete. All I need to do now is outfit all the electrical equipment like generators and fridges, as well as install the AC units into the incubator. Maybe some finer details here and there. Love having artifacts lighting up the barn on the loft area but I have yet to get any on the server so that part will have to wait. Hate the behomoth gate though, but its needed for practical reasons, such as if I wanted to leave wyverns or rexes in there to fully grow.
  13. Its done. The dock is finally done. Took me 3 or 4 nights of constant farming and building but got there in the end. So much longer than I thought it would take. Wasnt helped by the awful building mechanics... I surrounded the cove with an outer wall of pillars and ceilings with a behomoth gate at the entrance. Added a lighthouse type building at one of the corners in what is my first build using an octagon base rather than the standard square build. Think it came out great considering. Just need to add the final details such as lights but thats for later. Sick of the sight of stone structures now ? Also while farming resourses came across a 150 wild bronto so rushed back to base and grabbed the griffin to tame it up. Downed it without too much of a problem although I thought I botched it when the xbox dashboarded (for once i dont think it was an ark issues but the xbox overheating due to the warm weather over here...). Tamed it up and slapped the brachiosaur skin on it
  14. Not much really happened tonight other than a mass gathering of resources and crafting of stone structures in preparation for another crazy build which is sure to get out of hand. As I am still undecided what to do about my breeding barn conundrum, I decided instead to start off building my dock area. Built out the pier to a reasonable length, might make it longer at some point but it will depend on the next stage of the build. The rafts at least are now docked nicely instead of being moored randomly just off shore. Then started off the outer dock yard wall. I plan to have outer wall circle off the cove around the peir, with a behomoth gateway at the entrance of the docks to allow access for rafts and water dinos, might even have a few lighthouse type towers at either end just to add to the aesthetics of the structure. It was at this point that I remebered why I hate builds like this. Trying to snap pillars off ceilings too close to each other is challenging and infuriating with the way the build system snaps thing. Got the initial foundation down and started off the pillar walls out to the first drop off shelf. Didnt fancy starting the deep water diving required for the next section of the wall tonight as I have yet to unlock scuba gear so its going to be free diving until I get a hold of some.
  15. Started tonight off by going in search of another griffin. Am trying to build up to my first wyvern and would like a few spare griffins just incase egg stealing goes wrong. Flew across to the canyon where my griffin trap was. Lucked out and found a level 145 along with a level. Lured the 85 away and killed it before returning to lure the 145 back to the trap, took a wee bit of coaxing but finally aggroing it away from the stego and the diplo it was attacking. Downed it with 300hp to spare, thought I would actually kill it as it was kind of bloody before I even got it in the trap. Tamed it up with prime meat and took it back to base. Ended up going on a tour of @DJRone89s base and needless to say I was jealous. Got a long way to go before I get to that point if I ever do. Great hospitality too with some custom recipes for the journey home Started to plan out a few expansions back at base. Now that I have the ramp connecting the two levels of my base I marked out the rough area where the begining of the pier would go. Also trying to find the space to stick a breeding barn (also part of the wyvern plan) on my upper level but I am beginning to run out of space there. Tested out a few areas with thatch foundations but its very tight, trying to avoid building on ceilings and pillars but that might be unavoidable. Might have to build it next to the water or repurpose another building which I would rather avoid. Decided that it was a predicament that would need to be solved for another night.
  16. Started tonight by running around on equus-back gathering narco berrys for narcotics, pretty boring really. Then I installed an array of forges on my wooden raft and sailed round to one of the metal caves on the west coast to start gathering up metal with my argy and anky. Once I cleared it out, I made a quick trip inland to gather up another load of metal before going back to the raft and sailing back to base. Offloaded the excess metal onto my land based forges to let the cook and put the rest of the resourses (crystal and obsidian) into storage. Went on a quick meat run on the allosaur while exploring the finer details of the area up the mountainside from my base. Nearly had a heart attack when I fell into a creavas and thought I had got my allo permanently stuck think I finaly found the entrance to the jungle dungeon. Once I got out of the cave, I literally ran into a white megalosaur just kipping in the middle of the path. Was only a level 45 female but decided to tame it up, so ran back to base and picked up the argy and taming supplies. Found the megalosaur again and downed it without any issue, which is weird because normally I have issues with the tame. Thankfully it tamed up before evening so I did not have to knock it out again. Led it back to base and got into a but of a tussel with an ichyornis, losing a stack or narcotics in the process which was a pain (also stuck so many arrows into it but the game refused to register the hits). The megalo is now sleeping peacfully and acting as a sleepy guard dog in my utility dino stables.
  17. Not much to say about today. Finished building the outer perimeter wall of my base. Caved in and ended up just uaing behomoth gateways to do it. Finally tonight, ended up taming a level 85 ichyornis that was hanging around my base. Means taming up barrys, spinos and otters going to be so much easier now I can use a bird to fiah.
  18. Sad days. Died for the first time on this server tonight, but more on that later. Not much really happened tonight, just a quick one. Tonights plan was to start the mass harvesting to get the resources and structures together to complete the perimeter wall so I can start building into the lower levels of land around my base. But before that I decided I was fed up with pick collecting thatch so went on the hunt for a megaloceros with my argy. Went straight to the snow area closest to blue obelisk and had a look around. Best I could find was a 100 male so picked it up and took it back to base to tame in the taming raft. While the deer was taming up I started the mass collection of stone and wood that I would be needing. Once the deer tamed up I collected thatch to my hearts content. Started mass crafting stone walls and crafted up a few stone behemoth gateways. Still cant decide if I want to just sod it and ring the base with the gateways but that usually ends up looking pretty ugly so will probably have a mixture of gates and walls. So for just now just placed down the gateways that I would be needing for access into the base. Now onto the death, am so gutted was doing so well and was being so careful. Of course in full Ark style it was a full on dashboard. While scouting my perimeter to decide on the area I would be fencing off, I discovered that the water area infront of my base had a small cove that would be perfect for a smallish water pen. While picturing out the area for the pen on my argy I dashboared above the cove and by the time I logged back in I had inevitably drowned.
  19. I do the exact same thing in my single player on the island . Got a daedon stationed on the dock full of meat and ready to go at all times. All I need to do is stop by the dock after each lap and heal up. Saves so much time.
  20. Just a wee bit of fun tonight nothing too serious. Spent a long time exploring the map on my argy looking for a high level pachy. Didnt really have much luck, ended uo settling for an ugly green thing level 55. Picked it up and took it back to the taming pen to tame it up. On the way back to base noticed an interesting coloured 140 trike so took a mental note to go back with the taming raft to tame it up. Once it tamed up I quickly got a saddle on it and stuck the stygimoloch saddle on it. Love the skin. Stygimoloch was my favourite dinosaur as a kid so am loving the addition of it to the game even if its just through a skin. As the pachy is pretty much just useless, it would have been a shame to abandon the poor thing in the stables to be forgotten about. Instead I made a hole in the roof of my cabin to get the stygi into the top floor of my base so it could join my pet Jerboas, and now I have a guard dog. Crafted up a stone fire place and the Stygi and Jerboas can now live the dream life in front of a log fire. All I need now is a couple of rugs for the front of the fire place lol. Also noticed that you could dye the dino skins but decided against it just now for the stygi as I do like the default colours, although I have a few ideas for colour schemes so the pachy might get some friends at some point. Took the taming raft back round to the trike I spotted earlier to tame it up. It was still there but to my dissapoinment it actually wasnt an interesting colour but I trapped it and downed it anyway. Took it back to base and left it to tame up. Spent the time waiting for it to tame up collecting more bones and crafted up another stygi skin so I could dye it at another time. Once the trike tamed up got the Strycosaurus skin on it. Got to say I really do hate the colour of the thing. So armed with some google images and some dye I attempted to spruce it up a bit. Looks ok but probably could be better might try experimenting with reds and browns another day.
  21. Cheers for the reminder just checked just now. Am awful at remebering at checking the club page.
  22. Must have been the better part of a week since I last got on, between life getting in the way and Jurassic World Evolution coming out. Started of by taking the griffin out for a bit of an exploration to harvest up some organic polymer to make up an industrial grill. Crafted the grill up then went exploring more to scout out some oil rocks and a few other things. Ended up walking along the desert shore on the griffin farming up some bones for the event. Got back to base and crafted up some fridges now that I have electricity to run them. Finally graduated from using preserving bins. At which point I noticed someone on an ice wyvern within range of my base roaming around the shore so I spent 5 minutes giving them the evils just to make sure they were not up to any mischief. Took out the argent and anky out to the snow biome to harvest up the oil rock and loaded up my forges to make up some gasoline so I can leave the generator running constantly now that I have fridges. Spent a bit of time running up and down the shore around my base on my allo harvesting up some more of the event bones. Crafted up a Stygimoloch and Strycosaurus skin to use up all the bones as I hear the spare bones have a habit of disappearing. All I need now is to tame up a pachy and a trike. But thats for another night.
  23. After an absolute crap couple of days it was great to chill out, relax and destress on Ark for a bit. Decided to sod it and treat myself to my first griffin tame on this server. Started out by scouting out the griffin spawns on ptera back first. The first griffin I found was a 135 hanging around the Ivory Crags which was fantastic. Hightailed it back to base quickly and crafted up the structures to build up a griffin trap. Loaded up the argy and ptera on to the taming raft for transport and sailed round to the crags. Took the argent to one of the crag pillars and started construction. Had a slight hiccup when I placed the stone dino gate wrong because I was distracted and not paying attention so had to scrape together enough resourses for another one using only a pick. Flew back to the raft to swap the argent out for the ptera. Lured the griffin using the ptera into the trap. Had some difficulty due to slight framerate issue which turned out to be a base nearby which I completely missed hidden away in the corner. Anyway trapped and downed the griffin and flew back to the raft to swap out the ptera for the argent. Farmed up prime meat from wild argents and hyaenadons, and tamed the griffin. Got back to the raft, sailed back home and called it a night. Now I have a griffin I could probably start wyvern egg hunting but will probably need to do much more prep, such as building an incubator (no where near that yet) and maybe even a trap. Would be even nice to tame a spare griffin for this too. But thats for later lol.
  24. Didnt really do much tonight. Reaaaaallly long day. Basically jumped on collected some more silica pearls to craft more electronics to install the rest of the preliminary lighting in the base. Could add aome more but itll do just now. Took a quick screen shot. Pretty rubbish quality but kinda shows of the tower in the dark.
