I was thinking about the developers adding some new pvp/pve mechanics that would make it so that both types of worlds could coexist in one.
1) A world type that has a set boundary for pvp. There would be a giant segment of the map that contains the highest tier resources, drops and dinos giving a risk vs reward to all players that wish to venture into the pvp zone or to simply wage war against trash talking tribes.
2) Home beacons. Every player receives a home beacon after creating a tribe for free. This beacon would act as a safe zone againt pvp however the only way to damage other players or their structures is to turn off their beacons.
I believe these should just be additions where a handful of their servers have different pvp mechanics.
