  1. Okay, so, in comparison to previous weeks, this was "marginally" better. But I do mean marginally better. There is still a severe lack of transparency here, and before all you lug-heads start throwin out "March 31st," for just a moment stop yourselves and let's take account of how many dates they've already buggered up and missed. We're at a point where until some of us see a REAL commitment to transparency for the content we've ALREADY PAID FOR, you can expect that we are not going to just believe what they say. Or did none of you ever read the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf? Scorched Earth - Dec 2023, then March 2024, then April 1st, and now they say March 31st, shah, okay The Center - May 2024, then end of Feb, now, Who the hell even knows What we've seen is a dedication to pushing microtransactions and other ilk, that none of us asked for or paid for. If they get SE out on March 31st or even April 1st, yes, I will be pleasantly surprised and will be spinning up a server for my community. That being said, you are a fool if you just blindly believe a thing WC says with no evidence to support their statement other than rendered "art" that features nothing but microtransaction content and Pay 2 Win content. You want people to not make posts about "where's SE?" Yah? Then back those people up and demand for full transparency. Demand that WC show it. Let us see it. Screenshots. In-Game Video. Content that showcases what we have already PAID for, technically twice, if you bought everything in SE. Stop giving in to your Saviour complex and take stock of the fact that you PAID for a FULL GAME and as of yet, you've received NOTHING that you PAID for, just like all the rest of us. And, hey man, it's cool honey bunny if you think it's copacetic waiting till whenever for the content you paid for, but keep in mind, many of us, yah, we are NOT cool with it. So please, just go sit back down in your booth and have a nice tall milkshake.
  2. Jebus. Another week. Another CC with no REAL news that your player base ACTUALLY cares about... It's a puff piece about explorer notes voiced by Karl Urban. Why in the world would you think THAT is what we want to hear about? Seriously, either some dufus at Snail is writing these things, or whomever you have working public relations got their degree out of a sewer grate. No update on Scorched. No update on The Center. No update on how you plan to get back on track with the roadmap you gave us for the content that we all PAID FOR!!!
  3. What even was the pointy of this CC? Literally NO information about what y'all are doing. IDK, maybe go take a queue from Star Citizen with their Inside Star Citizen shows. Not asking for a damned video broadcast like they do, but actually breaking down what it is you all are doing, being transparent. Maybe prove that we're not the victims of a grift? With all the missed deadlines not only by yourselves, but by your so-called "partners" it should be pretty obvious that all we really want to see in these is weekly updates letting us know when we might, ya know, maybe SEE THE STUFF WE ALREADY PAID FOR!
  4. Get your facts straight kid. Go do some bloody research and quit white knighting. Fact: CEO of SNAIL, their PARENT company, in an interview a few weeks back before the yearly earnings call, stated, unequivocally that WC was developing a mod system for players to "create content in game to then sell and Snail would take a cut of those profits." Fact: ASE didn't survive due to mods. Many of us played on Official and Unofficial servers. Dudes in my tribe played both official and unofficial, at the same time. And the unofficial server they played on? Only 4 mods that were to literally only made QOL changes. I have people on MY unofficial ASA server that played throughout ASE and never touched unofficial, and they know people... Blah, blah, blah. You're wrong. Stop white knighting. Fact: they weren't forced to release early by Marbis (Nitrado's parent company). Snail signed a bad deal because they didn't pay server bills and because they needed money to finish development. They could have released later, but then Marbis would keep all the profits from server rentals until the loan was paid off. There was no forcing here. These were the terms and they accepted them. Marbis didn't force them to do it. Marbis didn't hold them at gun point to make them sign the bad deal they signed. It was all CHOICE. Chose not to pay server fees. Chose to sign a bad deal. Chose to release when they did so they could make money off servers. The kind of mods they are trying to push, the player created content, like the skins, not the stuff on CurseForge, it's all a way to start generating money. Creating another avenue of microtransactions on top of the other microtransactions they're peddling out to us, like this floating island dino base thing. It's content locked behind a paywall and they don't want to make all of it, they want your fellow players to make it, and then sell it, so they can take a cut without having done any work. It's scummy. All of this info is out there man. Just do the legwork. But, ya know, if you're too lazy to do it, or don't know how to do it, go check YouTube. There are plenty of reputable YouTubers that cover this stuff. So, yes, they are a joke, and now you are too.
  5. Maybe if y'all weren't so focused on trying to push content nobody asked for and focused on the content we paid for, you might actually hit a deadline on time. At this rate the mod map developers are gonna be done before you. Wait, I know, why don't y'all just hire those guys. Oh. Wait. Forgot, you need them so you can make money off them. Totally forgot that totally stellar business plan the CEO of Snail talked about on that podcast a few weeks back. Get it together. Y'all are a joke.
  6. Y'all just need to stop releasing roadmaps cause y'all hitting a deadline is worse than an Imperial Stormtrooper hitting the broadside of a barn at 5 meters...
  7. What's so aggravating is they could if they'd take the time to go on the servers and look at previous saves and pull the last saved files for your character. There's 2 files they need. Would be uber simple to fix this. From what some have told me, this has been happening quite a bit since the server side patch on Tuesday. Have y'all also noticed when you login that your base is only like half rendered?
  8. Oh,, and to top that off, I just busted hump to hit 100 so I could go run Alpha Rockwell and do the Ascension tomorrow at 2pm. So, yeah, that's not gonna happen now...
  9. You read that right. I had transferred back into NA-PVE-XBOXOFFICIAL-Valguero1096. I had been on the server for around 10 minutes when this happened. Hooped on Argy, picked up Anky, cruised to some metal spawns. Got some metal. Cruised to another metal spawn got that metal, then while walking to a spawn near that one with Anky game lagged out and I was disconnected from the server. Was unable to reconnect. Killed game and restarted Ark. Still unable to resolve address. Power cycled Xbox One. Bingo! Got in, but what's this? My character is gone. The game wants me to make a new character. Okay. Sure, I'll just download my survivor then, right? Nope. Never shows up. Went tot the Rag server I was on. Nope. Character's not there and doesn't show when I tell it to download character. I JUST hit lvl 100 like 2 hours before this and had placed my tech transmitter. So now I'm locked out of my buildings and tribes unless a tribe-mate comes and I decide to make a new character.
  10. Yep, same here. Every server I play on not showing up in the list. Just tweeted this and opened server down tickets for them. Let's start with the servers: NA-PVE-XboxOfficial-Valguero1096 NA-PVE-XboxOfficial-CrystalIsles1488 NA-PVE-CrossPlayOfficial-TheIsland839 NA-PVE-CrossPlayOfficial-CrystalIsles1482 The fact that so many people are having this issue and the devs can't even respond is not only infuriating, it's also just downright rude. In some of our cases we've spent upwards of $100 or more on the game. I own it on Steam, on Xbox & Windows 10. Paid for. Bought and paid for. No support. And the one time I do get a response from a dev over this very issue and how they roll out updates, it's a smug response about how they're not "like the big developers." I'm a game designer. I've worked on teams big and small. Triple A Dev to Indie Dev. Even on the Indie Team, myself and others on the team responded within an hour to forum posts, Facebook posts, and Twitter posts. Even after the doors were closed one one team, we still responded to posts from that game's community because we cared about them and the game. The way this Dev Team handles their community is absurd at best. But more align with appalling. I'd say just bring me on a a Producer, but not sure if they can afford me and I really don't want to move to Washington state. I don't understand the mentality in place at WC. I've made a suggestion a number of times, and other than a smug response from a dev, I've seen NO real positive response. So I'll state it once again, because maybe the squeaky wheel will get the bloody grease. Move all your server updates and official updates to Tuesdays, like Bungie and Blizzard, and oh yeah, a ton of other games from developers BIG and SMALL to Tuesdays. Start them at like 4AM or even 6AM. Tell the player base to expect all servers to be offline for 6 hours. Tuesday is kind of already considered Patch Day by many gamers and pretty sure nobody would be upset by it. Don't deploy fixes during prime time be it in NA or EU. If it's not a critical update save it till Tuesday. The way you all handle this stuff is rookie BS and after having been in development for as long as this has been, this should NOT be an issue. If WC can't handle the workload, get with Microsoft6 Games Studios and let MS help you out. Yeah, some of you probably think it's a bad deal, but really, it's not. I'd say go to Sony but they've historically not been very good to devs. Come on WC, you all made a great game and with a little love and attention to your player base, you could see your sales go up. I can't, in good conscience recommend the game to friends ATM with all the issues and the lack of quality, positive interaction with your player base.
  11. NA-PVE-CrossplayOfficial-TheIsland839 missing now I swear, every bloody week it's something with this. As a game developer myself, I'm embarrassed for you studio wildcard.
  12. I have checked for both of those servers on both my Xbox Client for the Xbox Official as well as the Crossplay Server on Xbox and on Win 10.
  13. Also, missing NA-PVE-XboxOffiocial-Valguero1096 So that's pretty fantastic. Both servers I play on are POOF! Missing in action. Here's an idea, instead of taking servers down multiple days a week, follow most major online game protocols. Take servers offline once a week. Same day. Same time each week. Roll all your updates, be it server-side and/or client-side at the same time. Set a 6 hour window of downtime. Blizzard has been doing it for years, and Bungie does it as well. The entire communities for both those companies games knows and is totally cool with it. Pretty sure the Ark Community would be fine with that as well.
  14. Both PVE Island Crossplay Servers are missing. NA-PVE-CrossPlayOfficial-TheIsland839 Does not show up in Win 10 or in Xbox. 15 minute update they said. You can check your servers again in 15 minutes they said.Nearly 7 hours later... And what response do we get from WC? Tumbleweeds...
