    Speaking as a software developer. Don't wish for that. They are in a nightmare situation out of their control, and are likely abandoning ship at every available opportunity.

    Linked to this and thought it was an announcement about a surprise update. Got all excited thinking that maybe WC was starting to listen and did something awesome. And then realized this was just a suggestion post. I hate you for this. Mostly good suggestions though.

    I would have for the Steam release. If they had bothered to give us ANY NOTICE AT ALL.

    Rumor has it that the GPU on the Series S cannot run the game reliably enough to certify the build, and they are having to actually optimize things. MS and Sony have actual standards, as opposed to Steam which will happily let you sell janky code all day long.

    Has there been any movement on the Animated Series launch? I know it's being privately funded by the creators, and not WC, but everyone kind of assumed that it's launch was going to be timed with ASA or Ark2, but nothing so far. I hope it didn't get completely shelved. Seriously, the storyline is about the only thing this company has done right with this game.

    If I want my own server I HAVE to pay NITRADO and can't run my own dedicated server on my own equipment? Hard Pass. Hope you guys get your sh it together. This was a horrible idea, but thankfully it's execution was also a complete disaster.

    It's going to take a lot to regain the trust of the community after the past year. It's nice that the game was released last night, but you never told us that it was dropping. Instead, we had to extrapolate a date from public documents revolving around your financial issues, and EVEN THEN we weren't sure if it was ever going to drop. ASA issues aside, the issue of banning players for no reason has NEVER BEEN ADDRESSED. This has all been completely INSANE.

    You don't want this. I guarantee you the devs are in a nightmare situation. Telling management that their expectations are unreasonable, being completely ignored, mandatory overtime, rage quitting. Speaking as a software developer, I'm willing to bet that they've had multiple dev teams quit en masse. They are likely gagged by NDAs, but you could probably verify it by checking how many people have changed their LinkedIn employment status over the past year.

    They can stall all they want in the CCs. We'll know in 4 days if they are going to hit 10/31 release date or not. Steam rules are clear, page has to be up for minimum of 2 weeks before product sales can start.

    Why does Ark 2 have a Steam page, but ASA is supposedly coming out in 3 weeks, but there is nothing?

    What time is the next disappointment supposed to be posted? This week hasn't quite been depressing enough, and I thought Snail slapping me in the face would be a nice way to end it.

    It's nice to see that someone is doing some quality work on ASA. Maybe if they hired Garuga123 we could see the rest of the game as well.

    At this point I wouldn't be surprised if this site just became a 404 error. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not buying ASA for at LEAST 6 months. I went through the Early Access disasters once already. I can play single player for a year while they sort out their bankruptcy proceedings.

    Came wondering the same thing. Me and my wife have both been actively waiting for this to drop. It's such a great story. Can we get an official update on where this is at? Even if it's "No movement yet", an assurance that the project isn't dead would be nice.

    I'm surprised it took me 7 pages to find a giant roach. This is a great idea. I think it should also be scared off by charge lights similar to how a troodon acts with torches. (Because of how roaches scatter when you turn lights on). Maybe have it be an omni-climber like the megalania, only faster.

    Lamprey and Megachelon for normal creatures, and Moeder as a Boss in Genesis Part 1. Only way to get anything decent in the ocean is to use the Ark Additions mod.
