  1. Been busy with real life stuff lately, but took the time today to start breeding my Extinction Titan giga army. I've got 50 mutations stacked on this line for now, coming out to 149 points. At some point, I'm going to mutate further in anticipation of the Alpha missions on Genesis I but for now this is it. Last week, I got the stats combined with each of the colour combinations I want in the final army on one male each and this week I started by studding one of those (Stat+Colour) males to 50 unmutated females. Popped out 10 males with stats+colour and 2 females. Going to do the same for each of the 14 colour variations I have. That means about 168 gigas need to be raised and imprinted in the next week or so. I've got 50k raw mutton in storage but tomorrow I'm hoping my regular butcher will deliver another 50k. I'm using stack size modifiers so it's less odious than it seems! Probably.
  2. Congratulations on the successful fundraiser! Very excited about Lost Island and even more excited about the awesome Fjordur news.
  3. The better part of a year ago, I was disappointed Rock Drakes were left out as the only Draconis species unable to breed. This weekend I was not! Needless to say, spent most of the weekend watching my carefully curated rock drakes having an orgy at long last.
  4. Really happy about the recent update. So glad to have Rock Drakes breeding and the Anky auto-harvest is a nice QoL convenience so thanks for that. I'm also really happy to hear that my favourite holiday is right around the corner. Please can we have the gorgeous autumn foliage back on the Island this Halloween, and the chilly weather. When I started Ark two years ago, that was one of the first events I participated in and I loved the seasonal trees. It was beautiful and atmospheric and rewarded returning to the Island map for those events. Super hyped and looking forward to having special trees this time around again.
  5. Since one of my friends hasn't yet ascended off the Island, and we (tribe-mate and I who have) wanted to play with him, we rotated our second map to The Center to do some caving together. The objective was to pick up the Artifact of the Brute, the last artifact we need to summon the boss portal. We got side-tracked naturally, once we made our way into the Abyssal Trench. All three of us got separated, lost in the swallowing dark. My tribemate kept her eye on the prize and continued the search for the Artifact. I found a level 150 mosasaurus lurking in the shadows, with 28 points in melee and 27 points in stamina. That's a great find, but I didn't have any tranq arrows, or even kibble. The third friend had tranq arrows. The artifact hunting friend had kibble. I had the tankiest Basilosaurus. Tranq arrow carrying friend managed to make his way to me but he had to dismount to shoot the Mosa and she twisted around and broke his primitive Scuba in seconds. He proceeded to drown but at least the arrows were there in his death inventory right? I dismounted and started a mad dash for the arrows but Mosa saw through my plan and she was bigger and faster. She ate his corpse and then started to take care of me. My ascendant SCUBA got pretty battered as I scrambled for the safety of my basilosaurus. Now there wasn't enough oxygen left in my tank and I had to abandon the hunt. I got the two basilosaurus' in cryopods (we use Death Recovery Mod) and drowned, leaving the Mosa as undisputed Queen of the Depths and returned empty handed to base. My tribe-mate with quiet efficiency, retrieved three artifacts of the Brute, one for each of us so it wasn't a complete disaster. Next week, we'll hunt for some tributes and thereafter tackle the dual guardians of the Center.
  6. Playing Extinction, private two-person server: We attempted our third purple OSD. pOSD went quite well, getting the hang of it now. Our process is using a Tek Forcefield Generator shielding a large area over the drop, metal spike walls around the drop itself and 3 Reapers, (clones because my sons are precious!) on tek leashes to defend against any breaches of the shield. Rock drakes almost always get through the tek forcefield. Is there any choice other than giga? Not to say I don't like it: I'm really enjoying gigas having a big role on the map. We've been breeding gigas for about 6-10 months on our Island server to ready a team for when we reached Extinction, and they're now at 30+ mutations. After searching nearly two years, we found a giga saddle blueprint at last and got our gigas armored up. Made quite a significant difference to their survivability. On our first pOSD we lost a couple and scraped through to round 7 by the skin of our teeth. We didn't have a decent saddle at that time. Now with the new set, they're monsters all the way to round 10+ We can now get to round 15 with much more ease. It feels like we could go a lot further if we wanted. First time, doing 15 rounds took nearly 4 hours, we got it down to 2 hours this time. I'm sure next time it won't take longer than an hour.
  7. Wonderful news! So excited for this announcement. I, like everyone else, really, really hope one of those two new breedables are Rock Drakes. A bit anxious about the incoming Shadowmane nerf. I'm making my way through the story maps and when I was doing The Island/Scorched Earth last year, I kept reading about how amazing the Managarmr was as a travel mount. By the time I got to Extinction, it's a shadow of its former self and pretty much useless compared to a Lightning or Blood Wyvern. I really hope I don't have the same experience around Shadowmanes. I'm really looking forward to taming/breeding them.
  8. Having a great time on Extinction! I play with my best friend on a private server and since autumn 2020, we've been making our way through the story maps. Before that, we dabbled a bit on Ragnarok, Center and Crystal Isles and then decided to start the Island over and ascend each of the DLC maps. About a month ago, after ascending from Aberration, we started on Extinction. I know I'm late to the party, but this is a really fun map! It's so good to have constant daylight in the city/wasteland areas after the oppressive atmosphere of Aberration. (Aberration has been one of my favourite maps out of all the ones I've visited so far. It is so well designed, the progression is so well thought out and the atmosphere is unique but it IS the Broken Ark and getting out of it feels rewarding: you get to see the sun again!). We started in the sunken forest with nothing but our ascended characters, spent a week there building a small starter base and taming a pack of carnos and raptors. And gachas! We tamed a male and 3 females, high levels and I've been breeding them every chance I got and now have about 15 element gachas and several covering the other resources. Haven't set up a proper farm yet because we haven't settled down. After sunken forest, we moved to Sanctuary and explored it. It's such an interesting design! We commented on how well it captured that post apocalyptic feel, and it is so different from the other maps. Exploring a ruined city, imagining what kind of districts the various regions must have contained in its heydey. The people who lived and worked in this bustling metropolis, with that great twisted shard sticking out from the earth spelling out its eventual destruction. We tamed a gasbags in the wasteland and hopped over to the desert. What silly fun! Love it. Got ourselves a romantic little adobe house and tamed some high level velonosaurs. Finally saw a return of the day/night cycle and it was such a welcome throwback to the normalcy of the Island/Scorched Earth maps. We have now made our way to Snow Dome and tamed Snow Owls and finally a pair of managarmr. I really love the crazy new creatures in Extinction, their uniqueness and the fun factor of using them. Now I can finally see what the fuss about Managarmrs has been about and it is so much fun to zip around on. And of course, the boosts and dashes are essential when you've managed to get caught in a meteor storm out in the wastelands! Yesterday, we attempted our first OSD defence - a blue drop with 3 carnos and 5 raptors and we managed to defend it with about 500 hp left. Learnt some lessons, but our final goal on the map now is an element vein defence. Once we've achieved that, we'll return to our main base on the Island, fetch our best gear, 99 melee gigas and smash the titans! Then onto the next.
  9. Happy Holidays everyone, thank you for bringing back Winter Wonderland - for sure my favourite event. Can I hope that the we'll have the winter landscape back on the Island (at the least, would love to have wintry trees on every map)? I missed the autumn trees skipped from this year's Fear Evolved event and I would really like to see the blanket of snow back. Merry Xmas and have a wonderful holiday!
  10. Thanks a lot, this is amazing and I did see the individual coordinates but didn't know about the tooltip! Awesome!
  11. Hi @MirageUK, Thanks for looking into the error. I also tried to reproduce it by deleting my .tribe and .profile files and sure enough the save loads without issue. Is there no way to tell what the error was from the error log? Appreciate the updated Lat/Long information, it's much more accurate now. I was wondering if there is any way to see the level of eggs in the wyvern nests? Also any other kind of nests, I imagine that would be pretty useful for nearly everyone hunting all kinds of eggs. Thank you for your work!
  12. Hello Mirage UK, I was super excited to find this tool, it's exactly the kind of thing I would love to make extensive use of on my private Ark server. I downloaded the last three previews to test it out, namely version: 44, 43 and 42 and with each one I get this error. Just to be clear, I was running the tool off my hard disc with the save game file downloaded off my Nitrado server. Not sure if that is what I should have been doing or if that's the cause of the error I've been getting: Mode: Mode_Offline Save: H:\UserProfiles\xxxxx\Downloads\CrystalIsles.ark Message: An item with the same key has already been added. Trace: at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentException(ExceptionResource resource) at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert(TKey key, TValue value, Boolean add) at System.Linq.Enumerable.ToDictionary[TSource,TKey,TElement](IEnumerable`1 source, Func`2 keySelector, Func`2 elementSelector, IEqualityComparer`1 comparer) at System.Linq.Enumerable.ToDictionary[TSource,TKey,TElement](IEnumerable`1 source, Func`2 keySelector, Func`2 elementSelector) at ArkSavegameToolkitNet.Domain.ArkGameDataBase.Initialize(ArkClusterDataBase clusterData) in D:\Apps\ARKViewer-Master\ArkSavegameToolkitNet.Domain\ArkGameDataBase.cs:line 155 at ArkSavegameToolkitNet.Domain.ArkGameData.ApplyNewData(ArkSavegame save, ArkTamedCreature[] tamed, ArkWildCreature[] wild, ArkPlayer[] players, ArkTribe[] tribes, ArkItem[] items, ArkDroppedItem[] droppedItems, ArkStructure[] structures, Boolean decouple, ArkAnonymizeData anonymize) in D:\Apps\ARKViewer-Master\ArkSavegameToolkitNet.Domain\ArkGameData.cs:line 264 at CallSite.Target(Closure , CallSite , ArkGameData , Object , Object , Object , Object , Object , Object , Object , Object , Boolean , Object ) at ArkSavegameToolkitNet.Domain.ArkGameData.ApplyPreviousUpdate(Boolean decouple) in D:\Apps\ARKViewer-Master\ArkSavegameToolkitNet.Domain\ArkGameData.cs:line 232 at ARKViewer.frmViewer.LoadData() in D:\Apps\ARKViewer-Master\ARKViewer\frmViewer.cs:line 225 at ARKViewer.frmViewer..ctor() in D:\Apps\ARKViewer-Master\ARKViewer\frmViewer.cs:line 88 at ARKViewer.Program.Main() in D:\Apps\ARKViewer-Master\ARKViewer\Program.cs:line 828 Edit: The problem has been solved! I thought I would leave it up here in case someone else runs into the same problem. I only had the x.Ark file in the specified folder when loading an offline savegame and was running into the error. When I downloaded the .tribe and .profile files into the same folder as well, the tool was able to pick up the savefile successfully. I hope this is helpful!
