  1. Quote from Discord a few minutes ago: The join failure issue we previously fixed on PC/Xbox is going to be present on PlayStation until our next patch goes through certification. We hadn't identified the issue at the time of submission so it won't be available at the time of launch. We will keep you updated! Good luck, hope Sony did not read that lol
  2. Are you sure that Sony is aware of this? Still no date or price on it in the PlayStation store. I'll be patiently waiting until the first user experiences show me the worst issues are solved. Sofar all I see from Xbox is not realy encouraging.
  3. This comment made my day! Hilarious and recognizable. And yes, no need to keep the tether for non-dedicated or splitscreen. Might even consider to patch it out of ASE for Series S/X and PS5 to compensate for ending official, these CPU's are much better than those from One X and PS4 that used to run ASE.
  4. On a brand new profile, with this as first and only post... You realy have no clue what you wish for and it is hopefully never gonna happen. You play on a backwards compatible system, don't ask it to be forward compatible.
  5. Did you open a ticket about it with support? The answere (or lack of it) might save you the time waiting till next map.
  6. The old system made it possible to have multiple layered walls so you could hide the metal if you don't like to live in a tin can. You do need defense, even on PvE. In my experience the majority of players was nice but you only need one single troll to wreck a server. Try to make your defenses as passive as possible to avoid agroing normaly peacefull creatures, or make them as strong as you can to kill all.
  7. This is an issue for PvE just as much, don't underestimate the trolls that kite dino's to unaware players. Happened on ASE, will happen just as well on ASA. Agree it should be dissabled as soon as possible.
  8. Read the forum. The general section is full of same for days now.
  9. Most of your points are very understandable so I just quote the few that in my opinion were known before and should have been a red flag to you. Cryopods and maewings are just catering to massbreeding farmville players. Before Gen2 raising a giga ment something, now every idiot and his granny can buil an oversized buker to mass breed difficult, OP dino's without any effort. It was said beforehand that they would follow the path of the OG Island, if you did not want to go back to that you just should have stayed away. System requirements were on Steam. You know how ASE performed so you could have scaled your expectations according to the ASE specs, those give away what WC's idea about acceptable performance is. This is something people often "forget" but are getting angry over later, Cyberpunk 2077 suffered from that as well: The specs were well known before launch and still people thought it would decent run on a PS4 or Xbox One S. But the statement what triggered me in writing this reply was: Sorry mate, YOU fooled yourself. After months of secrecy and vague CC's you jumped in blind. With everything known before and 14k hours experience with ARK and WC, while actualy wanting to jump to their next game ARK2... You could have waited for some real gameplay and comparisons. Or just have red this forum for a few days. Personaly I'm a happy PS5 player, at this moment still playing ASE but not jumping day1 to ASA if it ever comes available and if things are not improving a lot most likely never switching to ASA. Or ARK2. Edit: You posted in the ARK2 section while it is more related to ASA/ASE.
  10. May I remind everyone the bug was a player vote? We just got what we voted for at boosted rates, wich is also always requested in every CC comment.
  11. Have you even tried? The 2 hrs is the "no questions asked" period, if you have good reason to play longer, like discounting waiting time to join server, you may get extention on that 2 hrs.
  12. To get some training for the new engine, ASA happened. Read all the CC's since march if you want to know it all. Tl;dr: WC overpromissed, overcharged and underperformed.
  13. I'm looking at it on a PS5 as we speak, not perfect but playable. More than I can say of ASA...
  14. EDIT: NO Completely missed that after all this months of "news" someone still is asking about last gen. OG reply: -That depends on your standards. If you just had checked YT or so you could have seen the streams and comparissions a few days ago.-
  15. That was in the initial hype but they did not say how many people refunded. On consoles refunds are far more dificult so expect people to be a bit more carefull with buying, certainly with all we have seen sofar concerning the Xbox launch.
  16. Worst is, we are not allowed to publicly discus bans here so prepare to get muted if mods are as strict as they used to be. As I remember correct they used to have a 4 workday period for initial response so don't expect anything before monday now.
  17. You shouldn't but my experience of a few years official PvE teached me too many trolls go around that bring PvP to PvE at every chance they see and those WILL abuse this. If it comes to stealing bags or eggs that take you some time to find in high grass or just kite small creatures to you, it opens too much opportunities for trolls Ofcourse it is up to everyone for themself if they want to ruin their game but gompies sneak attacking should be part of the experience otherwise you can just as well go back to Farmville.
  18. Wait, what??? Does WC realy believes you don't need eyes to see objects nearby? There's logic and... This.
  19. Spotted a typo: You said ps5 where you should have said PS6.
  20. After I had seen the first bits on PC I acrtualy got interested but the more I see the more I feel like sticking to ASE. The major improvement is the building system but all those "It has Lumen!" claims are not paying off at all on console. It actualy is starting to sound like the "electrolites" from the Idiocrazy movie: Someone told you it has to be good but no one knows why. The little hype that was build was wearing thin realy fast and is already gone.
  21. I do agree but not with your reasons, most of yours can be fixed. My main issues as seen in the console footage on YouTube: UI not for controlers INI file manipulation Absurd popping in of realy nearby clutter, still starting with the crap furthest away UE5 lightning? USE IT! Shadows look absolutely crap and also suffer from rediculus popping. Serious, the game on UE4 was not so bad at all compared to Series S ASA. On my PS5 (and 4 pro before that) it always felt like a game that was never tested on console (= on the cauch, controler in hand, 4K TV 6ft away)with weird inconsisten double functions of the buttons and unreadable small fonts) and graphicly way behind PC and Xbox. I had some hopes it would be better on UE5 but the same old blunders are still there in the core. Priorities of render are still backwards and the increased render distance for main objects might conceal that but the obvious weird order of clutter popping in gives it away. The water physics could have been great but what is that milkpuddle doing around characters? Rays of light between trees and that jungle haze? Welcome to minecraft! Another thing that told me no need to hurry buy the moment available is how the crossplay is handled. Servers are already in full swing with most good spots spoiled, that max level rex I just tamed is crap compared to the already existing lines. And as usual, there are too many people fighting to get on a server. WC, you should have done beta test weekends, server stress tests, take a proper time to fix the found issues and have launched all platforms at the same time. Then it would have been less problematic to accept all minor hickups, like we mostly always did on ASE. As it is now either no cross play initialy for PS5 or serverwipe is the way to go. And stop telling what you hope to accomplish, but just show us that you have realy learned and listened.
  22. No idea what that source is but I read it as: splitscreen(= local) min 2 (obvious) max 2 players or: Online with friends where you can host for up to 3 other people, online meaning not local meaning no splitscreen.

Your question is ASA related but posted under ARK2. If you had followed all CC's you could have know that initialy server transfers are disabled, untill new maps are added. If you have been playing that long, you could have known that overpopulated servers were an issue every with new map or DLC.
